The complete Wall Series box set: 4 novels with over 1,800 pages of non-stop action, intrigue, romance and betrayal.

One girl. A corrupt government. A secret that could shatter a country.

For twelve years, Aleesha has survived as an Outsider in poverty-stricken Area Four. She lives by one rule – trust no one.

When Aleesha discovers she can pass through the deadly barrier dividing London, the future she dreams about seems finally within her grasp.
All she needs is find out the truth about her mother’s disappearance and her father’s identity.

Recruited by a mysterious organization intent on taking down the corrupt government, Aleesha is introduced to Trey. He’s an Insider who’s been brought up with everything she longs for. Wealth, privilege, education.

An Insider who, like her, is being hunted by the government’s sinister militia.

Aleesha wants to hate him. But Trey may be the only person who can help her uncover the secrets of her family’s past. If she can learn to trust him.

Too late, Aleesha and Trey realize that they’re just pawns in a much bigger game. A game that will shatter their city, test their friendships and force them to risk everything in the hope of justice, freedom and a better world.

#1-- I really enjoyed this book and how Ingleby uses it to really make the reader think about what our world is moving towards. Don't be sheep. Question the people in power.
I liked the parallel between Aleesha and Lily. I really wanted to slap Jay and so many others in this story. I really hope Trey goes to stay with Abby and helps her while he and Aleesha find a way to make London a better place.
#2--I love this book. It is a perfect pick up from where Expendables left off. I enjoyed the development of the characters and how they make mistakes but still try to do the right thing. I found the alternating story chapters perfectly paced and a wonderful way to see the story develop through both the main characters' eyes. I appreciate how even the minor characters were given many opportunities to show who they truly were and how all that has happened so far has changed them also. There are so many life lessons and societal parallels in this series. So many people think they know what is going on just because they watch the news or TV or movies or donate to causes and really when it comes down to it they are just as judgmental as others even if they don't mean to be. Although many would see Aleesha and Trey as idealistic they do make the tough decisions when it matters.
#3-- Defenders delivers. The opening was intriguing and powerful as it reminded me of the battle from the Infiltrators. The characters are easy to relate to and care for. The relationships of parent and child are also touching as both Aleesha and Trey are learning more about their parents and must decide how far they will go to be with them. The thoughts as well as dialogue reveal a bunch about the characters, their feelings, and experiences. I felt it was a perfect mix as the narrative helped paint the scene while they both helped set the action and characters in place. I felt it was a great take on a dystopian version of the Revolutionary War. I love how the characters are growing in each book and how Trey and Aleesha are independently growing despite everything else going on. I thought it was a great mix of what is happening at the time as well as what occurred in the past and the way they looked back on the previous stories as memories and sharing of events is realistic.

#4-- Series final book. Just as in life, rose colored glasses, biases, and other covers keep the truth from our group until it is almost too late. Will Aleesha and Trey find a way to free everyone they care about while keeping true to themselves? This book is an awesome ending to a great series. Can't say too much more because I don't want to give anything away. The descriptions, dialogue, characters, and relationships are engaging and superbly written.

I received a free ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review of the book.

A gut wrenching series

The Wall Complete Series by Alison Ingleby:

*****Expendables #1: This story will stay with you
This book really pulled at my emotions. Disbelief, anger, horror, loss..... Pain and admiration - For the suffering downtrodden people who had nothing, but kept going. The privileged whose lives were under constant surveillance and everything required a chip (food/transportation, etc). The lies, deceits and controls of government, where death or hard labor is the punishment for being a rule breaker (I.E. not being legal/having a chip). This is a good series but definitely not light reading.

*****Infiltrators #2: A gut wrenching series
Answers and more pain. Vengeance vs justice. Shifting alliances and losses. This is a hard hitting story that is well written and hard to let go.

*****Defenders—#3: A riveting series
Insiders vs outsiders, allies and enemies. There’s so much happening in this segment, but at the end a revenge goes sour, and the cost is a betrayal.

****Liberators #4: Good!
Gains and losses and shifting alliances. So much pain and heartache. Who’s trustworthy and who’s not? Everyone has an agenda and there’s always danger.... A little too much 2nd guessing at times, but otherwise a very good story.
Notable quote: “The future is in my hands. I can’t change what has happened but I don’t have to be defined by it.”

really enjoyed this. The Wall is a dystopian box set that has everything that's great in this kind of book. After a great flood that was the result of global warming the government constructs a wall that is not really physical, but kills people if they try to go through. There are the insiders, people of privilege and outsiders, people starving and doing everything necessary to survive. Aleesha is an orphan and an outsider that somehow has the ability to go through the wall without being killed. Trey is an insider whose whole life has been a lie. Through crazy circumstances these two meet and end up being pushed to complete many different tasks by several warring factions all while not knowing who is really working for justice. The books have many different players and motives. Completely unpredictable. The writing is so good and I loved the feeling of being there with these characters. There is so much action! It was awesome! My heart cried out several times, but one in particular really got me. Have tissues in hand and get ready for a great read!

This series had me totally captivated. After a massive flood life is much changed and there are the protected people one side of a wall and the have nots the other side. The books tell the story of Aleesha who is on the 'undesirable' side of the wall - the wall is not just a wall but it is a weapon as it kills all who try and get through it. To Aleesha's surprise she can go through the wall unscathed. On the other side of the wall living in privilege is Trey and he is suddenly made to run from his 'nice' life and ends up with Aleesha..... all is not as clear cut and there are several factions and the oppressed may not be good people or the oppressors may not be bad people - the story develops and there is a lot suspense.
The end is a total surprise but it left me with some HOPE.

A great read.

I won't put any spoilers in here so anyone can read this review!! This book series is incredible! If you love dystopian type stories, this is a series for you! I I love the characters Trey and Aleesha! I even love most of the secondary characters. They all play such an intrical part in the story and really make it come to life! I think my favorite is little Tommy!
The story takes place around London and there is a wall that separates the Insiders from the Outsiders! Aleesha is an Outsider and Trey is an Insider and their lives cross in an unexpected way!
This is an action packed series with some tears, laughter, heartbreak, and even a little love! Even though its a dystopian series it feels real! The characters are incredible and the writing really brings the book to life!

An absolutely fantastic collection of stories. Alessha has made sure to survive as an Outsider, where life has been difficult. Now she’s recruited as an Insider. Perhaps something good can come of this. I definitely binged to finish as quickly as possible. Loved it.

This was one of the best book series I have read lately. This book was fantastic, action packed. If you are a fan of the Hunger Hames series, you will love this book. You will not regret buying this one. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

I tried but couldn’t get into this book

This book is well written, but I didn’t feel any empathy for the characters and there wasn’t enough of a hook to keep me reading. It didn’t seem to matter if the characters were inside or outside nobody was happy.

I originally read these books individually, and they were addictive! I would highly recommend getting the complete series in a single edition so no waiting or searching required :)
