When Miguel and his family stop at a gas station in the middle of nowhere, his annoying little brother Raul begs to use the playground equipment behind the store. And, after their father gets into an altercation with the racist proprietor, he gets his wish. But the playground hides a dark secret, one that will soon pit the two brothers against the gas station owner in a schoolyard-style game of cat and mouse, where the wrong move can be deadly. Can Miguel keep his brother safe...or does he even want to?

The playground is a little piece of art. It's amazing how with a couple of words you drag the reader down into your world and make it impossible to put the book down. Another great reading. Thank you so much!
