Nearly 1000 pages of suspenseful adventure to keep you enthralled. Here's what's included:

Tin Men

Mysterious photos. Missing diaries. Family secrets with fatal consequences.

Chrissy Livingstone grieves over her father’s sudden death. While she cleans out his old things, she discovers something she can't explain: seven school-style photos of boys with the year 1987 stamped on the back. Unable to turn off her intrigue, she sets out to find them only to discover that three of the seven have committed suicide…

Tracing the clues from Surrey to Santa Monica, Chrissy unearths disturbing ties between her father's work as a financier and the victims. As each new connection raises more sinister questions about her family, she fears she should've left the secrets buried with the dead.

Will Chrissy put the past to rest, or will the sins of the father destroy her family?

Walk Like You

When a major railway accident turns into a bizarre case of a missing body, will this PI’s hunt for the truth take her way off track?

London. Private investigator Chrissy Livingstone’s dirty work has taken her down a different path to her family. But when her upper-class sister begs her to locate a friend missing after a horrific train crash, she feels duty-bound to assist. Though when the two dig deeper, all the evidence seems to lead to one mysterious conclusion: the woman doesn’t want to be found.

Still with no idea why the woman was on the train, and an unidentified body uncannily resembling the missing person lying unclaimed in the mortuary, the sisters follow a trail of cryptic clues through France. The mystery only deepens when they learn someone else is searching, and their motive could be murder…

Can Chrissy find the woman before she meets a terrible fate?

The Silent Ones

An abandoned child. A missing couple. A village full of secrets.

When a couple holidaying in the small Irish village of Doolan disappear one night, leaving their child behind, Chrissy Livingstone has no choice but to involve herself in the mystery surrounding their disappearance.

As the toddler is taken into care, it soon becomes apparent that in the close-knit village the couple are not the only ones with secrets to keep.

With the help of her sister, Julie, Chrissy races to uncover what is really happening. Could discovering the truth put more lives at risk?

A suspenseful story that will keep you guessing until the end.

Hi, I'm Linda Coles and I write British crime novels. #GreatBritishCrime. #BritishCrimeDrama

An English woman myself, I now reside in New Zealand with my husband, 1 cat and 6 wonderful goats. Google Earth and two UK based editors ensure I keep my stories and language, accurate. I’m the author of 17 books including four non-fiction and two of a very different genre published under a pen name.

I currently have three different series published:

Detectives Jack Rutherford and Amanda Lacey set in Croydon, south London.

Private investigator Chrissy Livingstone set in the upmarket areas of Surrey.

Amateur sleuth, mini-cab driver and part-time grave digger Will Peters, set in the Midlands.

There’s something for everyone!

A #1 Amazon bestselling author, I’ve been writing since 2011

A full-time writer, I also write newsletter content for accountants across the country, something to ‘cleanse my palette on’ and the polar opposite of dead bodies on the other side of the world. My claims to fame include having a cuddle with Lee Child, sharing a New York cab with Heather Graham, and interviewing Karen Slaughter as a podcast guest.

My latest book and series, Where There’s a Will is the first in a trilogy and sees Will Peters insert himself into the investigation of a young homeless man found dead in the woods. There’s a message written on his chest: Your Move. With the help of some of his elderly mini-cab customers, the unlikely group endeavor to solve the case, any way they can. With a serious message, it’s often amusing. Think Man on the Street and Thursday Murder Club rolled into one. I know you’ll enjoy it.

I received this book FREE thru Amazon… thanks so much.
This is a 3 book series that has very good continuity to it, which I enjoyed very much.
You basically are talking about Chrissy who was a ‘Spook’ for England who lives in London with her very Mcdreamy hubby Adam and her 2 teenage sons. She has retired from being a spook and has become a P.I.
Living close by is her sister, Julie and Julie’s husband Richard.

In these 3 books they travel the world being sleuths and solving mysteries, sometimes invited to and sometimes not invited to.

The 1st book takes us to London and LA California.
The 2nd book takes us to France
The 3rd book takes us to Ireland

I would call these very cozy mysteries, that I could easily turn over to my pre-teens to read.
They are a bit ‘long’ for me, not in page count.. but the total of the 3 books is 1000+ pages, but in content… I prefer more action over descriptions of tea time.
And…. For my personal liking I like US destinations for places to occur, but that is entirely personal preference and nothing to do with the quality of the books.

Very good bargain for FREE

Chrissy and Julia slowly becomes a great partner to investigated three very different crimes. The writing is smooth and flows through the narratives. The style of narration has inserts to introduce a new character or provide background. Each of the stories has quirky investigation to make a interesting and unusual events. I all three stories in a setting. They kept me into an length of reading, all entertaining and enjoyment. Although the characters are the same, the investigation is very different for each of the actions.

This is one of those stories that the more you read more information that keeps piling up from various characters of the story. Will is the very gentle one, and his friends have a dark past and are a lot of fun to be around. Why are the homeless being killed? What´s the reason behind the messages in the corpses? You´ll have to read to find out!!!! It´s an interesting and well-plotted story, easy to read and it keeps the reader´s attention till the end.
I downloaded a free copy of this book through Hidden Gems and this is my honest review.

people moving

It isn’t always about trafficking. Sometimes people need to be moved from one place to another. Sometimes people move themselves from a situation. These possibilities make wonderful fiction, as exemplified in this series. I really enjoyed reading about Chrissy’s escapades; the more she involved her family, the more I enjoyed the reading. Overall, this is an excellent series with circumstances and characters different from the usual mysteries. Additionally, I appreciate that Linda Cole’s has had some good editing done, because there are very few errors.

I found this collection of books -totally enjoyable -and a welcome digression from the cookie cutter thrillers of other authors. The first of the lot was a bit of a slow go initially -but gave a great introduction to the cast of characters and hefty background into the lives of both sisters as they grew up-in this dysfunctional family. I loved the originality behind the tales told in each of the books-without the need to engage in graphic violence. A lover of which I am not - I found the writers style -had a sense of the innocence of a bygone era which was uplifting. The second book had a considerable number of editing errors-especially around the verb -sit sat-sitting-which for this grammatically correct reader -was jarring. They need to be addressed.
All in all -they were a treat to read -and I can highly recommend them -
