Wow, amazing and mind boggling but still wanting more. The reader is drawn into the story from page one and continues until the end. You want to laugh, fight and protect Abbey from the dangers she faces. As well as those she doesn't see coming. You have to appreciate the moment between Simon and Abbey, as well as Abbey and Levi. I was happy to see Merrick and okay Nick too. Even though, Nick kept deadly secrets from his partner. The author gets better with each new story she writes.
Nothing new that Abby is a workaholic...does that make her lost? Add to that 'ponder' an interesting insight on Uncle Oliver coupled with an odd 'item' which remains for 'ghost closure'. Now, just throw on top vampire politics. Hah...just try to keep up! Good continuation of the saga of Abby...HWW series is a great read!
Setup for the coming Battle Royale between House Leviticus and House Samuel, continuing questions about Agent Ross, as well as Nick (whose whereabouts and intentions remain unclear) and the ultimate outcome of the witch/werewolf romance.
I was enthralled with Detective Abby's dilemma of saving her friends but giving her self to the vampire for three months of "study". Lots of subplots and drama. I was frustrated when it ended because it left too many unanswered questions til the next book. But I couldn't put it down
I got irritated when I had to stop to do chores. Lol I try not to give spoilers when I rate books, so 20 words is tough at times. I can't wait to see what Samuel has in store for Abby. I know eventually Nick will resurface but Is 13 the last in this series? Guess ill find out.
