This book is revolutionary. I loved the way it was on a timeline, where it started in 42 BCE and ended in 2017. Its really interesting to see how our needs have been challenged over and over again. you get to see history truly repeat itself. "No Woman can call herself free who does not own and control her body" page 114. I chose this quote because I love Margaret sanger and because of the times we are in now. It blows my mind that this quote is from 1920, over 100 years ago and we are STILL fighting for reproductive rights.

Not only were the quotes interesting, the background and history of each made it easy to understand. As someone who is always striving to understand Feminism, this was a great resource. I recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more history on Feminism!

As expected, the book is very surface level, but it is also much main stream feminism. Maybe the problem is me, but I expected more
