Office Hours #2

Bonus Study

Rate this book

She’s the best thing I’ve ever seen. A walking miracle.

The only catch? She’s my student.

I cut my best friend off for dating his student, but the truth is I’m no better. Keeley has been in my class for years, and I’ve been in love with her just as long.

I won’t go there. I’m no monster. I will never cross that line.

But it kills me to see the other students laugh at her. They don’t see her talent, her beauty, the way I do. Bunch of fools. And when Keeley’s class partner bails on her, she’s left high and dry.

So I’ll fill in. I can do this. I can keep things innocent.

Even when it means spending long nights on campus with her alone.

Bonus Study is a steamy professor-student romance and the second book in the Office Hours trilogy. Contains mature language and content.

Re-read? Yes

”The image of undressing her—not for creepy reasons, but to tuck her in, to make her comfortable—well, that’s going to haunt me for years. Pulling a blanket over her shoulders. Brushing her hair off her forehead. God.”

I loved this student/teacher read. Keeley and Beckett have known each other for years, and been quietly in love nearly as long. Keeley is one of the only female students at the school’s Sports Medicine program and Beckett is one of it’s most well respected professors. With only a semester left, and a few unexpected circumstances throwing them together. They can’t hide their feelings any longer.

The only thing that I didn’t like about this book was how harsh Beckett was about Gideon (book 1) being with his student and then resigning for her. Beckett acted like he had some kind of moral high ground. I know he was projecting but it got a little old after awhile. I mean, he wouldn’t even speak to his best friend.

Still a great story and it’s going on my re-read shelf.

This was an enjoyable read. It was the student-teacher relationship between Professor Beckett Hale and his student, Keeley. I thought it was a cute and quick read. I thought the story could have been longer to get more of a story about the moments after they got together to make it a happier ending. The characters were great. Beckett is a professor in the Sports Sciences Department, and I thought he was smart, sexy, and a bit of a jerk at times. Keeley is the top female student in the male dominated Department of Sports Sciences. She is joyful, smart and humble. She works hard to maintain her high grades and she always puts her best effort forward. She is also sassy, which is a quality that I love. I thought their chemistry together was great. He tried so hard to do the right thing and stay away from her until he could no longer hold back his feelings for her. I wonder how Fraser and Raine’s story will turn out. Can’t wait to read the next book. Overall, a great read.

Keeley is in the Sports Science program at college and it has not been an easy major. Not because of the subject matter or the hard work but because it is a male-dominated field and her position near the top of the class has not been appreciated by her fellow scholars. She lives for the physical aspects too, finding nothing more satisfying than a hard workout. She has finally made it to her senior year and is looking forward to the more interesting classes she will be taking. She is also eager to have classes with Professor Beckett Hale. He is well known in the field and she has had a crush on him for a long time. He seems to run hot and cold in their personal exchanges and she is never sure where she stands with him, but she knows where she would like to lay with him. If only she had the nerve to tell him wants she really wants from him.

Beckett can't stop himself from wishing that Keeley Smith was just a little less tempting. He refuses to give in to his desires like his former colleague and friend Gideon Warwick did with Lucy. The whole idea is appalling. No way is it going to happen to him. He has more self-control than that. Right?

I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Let me just start off by saying that the man on the cover is one of my favorites (fans myself). Anyway I liked this book a little more then the first one. It took me a minute to warm up to Beckett because he was such an asshole to Gideon in the first book but I eventually started to like him. He was alpha which is my favorite type of male character. Keeley I would have to say is one of my favorite female characters. She was so badass to me. I love that she didn’t take shit from that Brandon asshole or from Beck when he iced her out. It was short but the fact that they had known each other for years helped the book not feel so instalovey. I definitely enjoyed the book and thought it was a good addition. I’m excited to read the next one.

Keely is a sports student and has the hots for her professor, Beckett. In turn he is attracted to her for years now, but never acted on it. But a class skiing trip all changes that.

This is the second story of a trilogy with a student/professor trope. It can be read as a standalone, previous actions are explained. But I really loved the first story (Extra Credit), definitely worth reading, if you haven’t already.

I received an arc of this book and this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

Beckett condemned his best friend for being braver than him.

Gideon found love and wouldn't let it get away...and Beckett hates him for it. But only because he feels morally obligated not to cross the line that Gideon erased.

Because both men fell in love with students.
But only one of them is torturing himself about it.

This is a sweet professor/student romance with mutal pining and blurred ethical/moral codes. It was such a treat.

An enjoyable and exciting older man younger woman professor/student taboo romance! The story line is well written, emotionally deep, and well-developed with drama, ups and downs, and steam. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is intense and off the charts! Very enjoyable and definitely recommended!

There is something about Keeley that draws Beckett to her, but she’s his student. He wants to know everything about her. Keeley has had a crush on her professor for years. Their story is filled with drama, passion, and a forbidden love.

Beckett and Keely are two people who long for one another but never act on those feelings. They find themselves drawn to each other more and more. Their chemistry is palpable and the connection they develop is simply amazing. I adored this story.

I just couldn't care less about this couple. I didn't care to see them together, and so I just decided I didn't want to finish the story.
