Dr. Judith Lucci is an Amazon bestselling author who writes what she knows. She is the author of the Alex Destephano Medical Thriller Series and the soon to be released Michaela McPherson, Private Eye, a series centered on a retired homicide detective from Richmond, Virginia who really can’t retire.
“Before I wrote fiction, I was an academic writer who published research, theoretical works, text books and just about anything a nurse or college professor needed to publish to survive. The differences in academic writing and writing fiction are dramatic. Writing what I know propels me to pull from my clinical experiences, some good, some not and use popular fiction as a means to teach and advocate for others. My books have three purposes, to engage the reader, to entertain them and to educate about healthcare and perhaps, the darker side of hospital life.
I am a nurse and hold graduate and doctoral degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Virginia. I have always been a reader and a writer and I love it. I am a member of the Virginia Writers Club, The Shenandoah Valley Writers and Sisters in Crime.
When I’m not writing I am probably teaching, paining on silk as I am a multi-media artist or playing with my many dogs. Please feel free to contact me at judithlucciwrites@gmail.com. I am excited about meeting you!
What a breathtaking thriller. Sonia Amon, retired battlefield surgeon, Army Major and CIA operative, goes from peacefully living in Washington DC and practicing at Walter Reed, to being appointed as personal physician to the President of the United States. First, though, the CIA asks her to fly to Syria to train army field physicians in the Syrian language and culture. But danger awaits. The duplicitous actions of Sonia’s father, the Emir, and her half-sister Ester put Sonia and her CIA lover, Trey, in danger, and they are taken prisoner as a plot unfolds to undermine the U.S. government.
This is a terrific thriller that works on every level. The action is unpredictable, the characters are wonderful, and it reads brilliantly as a standalone though this is the sixth in the series. You won’t be able to put this book down. Well done, 5 stars!!
This is a great book. It’s full of excitement and keeps you on the edge of your seat. After there plane is shot down over Syria Sonia and Trey are not sure if they’ll ever see home again let alone get the US President back home. There are many trials and tribulations they myy it st go through. Its really a good book and I would recommend it to all.
‘Identity Proof’ by Judith Lucci is the sixth book in the Dr. Sonia Amon series, but it can be read as a standalone novel as the reader is given enough context to appreciate how all the characters relate to one another. Amon is an ex battlefield surgeon, retired Army Major, and sometime CIA operative. Her father, a thoroughly dislikable monster known as the Emir, wants to kill her, and will get his chance when she returns to her native Syria on a medical teaching mission. However, she realizes her flight there is also conveying a special passenger, one whose presence complicates matters infinitely. So begins the latest in the author’s Amon stories. It starts a little slow but soon develops a fast pace that carries the reader until the end. The characters, especially the protagonist and her evil sister, are expertly drawn, having depth and credibility. The storyline is relatively simple yet sufficient to support the critical scenes as the tale unfolds. A solid, entertaining read from Judith Lucci.
Sonia has been appointed as personal physician to the President. But first, she must go back to Syria to train army field physicians in Syrian culture and basic language. CIA Director Trey Pullen who is also Sonia's boyfriend is on the plane with her. And who is that gentleman sitting ahead of them? Her father the Emir and her half-sister, Ester, have made plans. Sonia and Trey are taken prisoner. Sonia discovers there is a plot against the USA. The highest levels of government are involved. They must escape and get word to the US. How will they do this? The suspense and twists will keep you on the edge of your seat. You must keep reading to find out what happens. You just do not want to put this book down. Come along and find out what happens to Sonia and Trey. I voluntarily received a copy of this book from the author and I'm voluntarily posting a review. My opinion is entirely my own.
Dr Sonia Amon is back for another edge-of-your-seat thriller! Beginning with the flight to Syria, things go horribly wrong and she soon learns that her father, the Emir, is behind it all. When Sonia and her boyfriend, Trey, are taken prisoner, the excitement escalates as Sonia discovers the depth of the Emir’s plan and must their escape. Will they be able to escape the clutches of the Emir and her half-sister, Ester, and make it back to their peaceful life in the USA while thwarting the evil plans of her father? This book is filled with suspense, romance, and a few surprising twists. You truly won’t be able to put it down!
Judith Lucci has a way with words that tell the story that draw you in to where you feel like you're the heroine. This book is great! Dr. Amon is a courageous woman who just wants to live her life. However, her family and her country keeps getting in the way. Read the whole series to really understand her and what drives her. You won't be disappointed.
This was a great story! I loved this book, and like the others preceding this one in the series, you're kept on your toes trying to figure out what will happen next. It's an edge of your seat read, and will keep you up reading long into the night. Outstanding and well deserving of 5 stars
1st in the previous book Sonia and Trey were married and in this book they're only lovers? 2nd, the cover, hey it's a mature woman and is portrays as a twenty something...
The characters are good and the story a little weak, still a good book.
This book was filled with lots of suspense, twists and turns with a bit of romance thrown into the mix. It contained an excellent storyline brought together by a divers cast of characters.
I absolutely loved this book. The suspense, the twists , the characters and the edge of your seat anticipation all keep the reader engaged and enthralled. I absolutely recommend this book and I really really enjoyed it.
I really loved these 6 books 📚📚 thriller (Women of Valor) , I couldn't put the books away when I finished one I was ready to start another. Judith Lucci is a great author.
NO SPOILERS. This series has offered one thrill ride after another and this latest installment is no exception. I really enjoy how the author has been able to come up with so many action-packed harrowing escapades but still manages to keep the characters human. Sonia, the focus of this series, has lived through more than any one person should ever have to endure and we, the readers, get to go with her on her journeys from the comfort of our favorite chair. In this adventure, Sonia is, once again, back in Syria to train new doctors in field medicine techniques before assuming the responsibilities of her new post but, as usual, nothing goes as planned. The actions of Sonia’s father, the Emir, and her half-sister, Ester, put Sonia and her romantic partner, Trey, in grave peril. Can they escape this hostile land? Can they avert a nuclear incident? Will they be able to foil a plot to undermine the U.S. government at its highest level? I truly enjoyed this exciting story and I love that the characters in the series grow, evolve, and reflect as their lives are touched by events beyond their control. Well done!
I was provided with an advance copy of this book but I am voluntarily offering my honest and unbiased review.
Another excellent story! Sonia is so resilient! I love these characters and feel like we could be friends. Sonia is very strong, yet relatable and vulnerable at the same time. You must read this book!
