With what was the USA now divided along racial, and political ideologies, the Republic of New Mexico is now controlled by Martinez, a ruthless psychopathic cartel leader. To make matters worse, Rob Bell’s arch enemy has escaped after he attempted to assassinate Rob and Rosa. Rob knows that it will likely not end their feud. Brogan will need to silence them as witnesses to his atrocities, but for now he is out of reach in the Republic of New Mexico.
Rob has his new challenges at the bunker and farm to keep him occupied with a band of so-called Unifier Militia camping nearby, and determined to restore the Union, and with eyes on taking over their bunker. Just as he finds peace with himself, he is drawn with Rosa yet again into a world of politics and conflict, when Socialist Cascadia, after accepting aid from the Chinese, their president realizes that they are gaining a foothold to take control of their nation. With invasion imminent, the president calls out for help.
Divided, neither nation will have the power to repel them. Rob and Rosa will find them thrust into the center of negotiation to have the nations come together to take the fight to the enemy. But it won’t end there, not with Brogan still at large.
The outcome of all their challenges will depend on if the new nations will end up enslaved or liberated. And for that, Rob will need to stand tall.
