When you have everything you want, is it wrong to want more?
Dustin has the perfect summer to look forward to. His genderfluid boyfriend, Landon, is moving in so they can fully embrace the Daddy/boy dynamic they’ve both been craving. His best friend, Zhong, found an adorable partner in Ash, whose puppy play interests fit perfectly with an asexual Daddy.
And when the two couples spend time together, everything seems right.
Uniting two fragile, new relationships into a foursome could spell disaster. Or maybe their love for each other could be unlimited.
Love Unlimited has two Daddy Doms with very different age play styles, a fierce middle, an sweet little, impact play, puppy play, and a HEA for everyone. This is the fourth in the Love Language series celebrating Deaf characters and Deaf culture. It continues story lines from Love Lessons and Love Limits, which should be read first.
Reese Morrison lives in Philadelphia with their partner, two precocious children, and intermittent housemates, guests, and homeless, queer teens. Their hobbies are volunteering on too many boards, planting gardens that they forget to water half-way through the summer, making up songs for their kids, and putting off writing their dissertation.
Reese and their partner both identify as genderqueer and are part of a vibrant community of queer and trans folks. They started writing because they were dissatisfied with the lack of trans and genderqueer characters in what they were reading and finally decided to do something about it. Many, but not all, of their books are kinky (for a whole range of kinks...) and they feel that it's important to represent a range of backgrounds, dis/abilities, gender presentations/ identities, and body types in their writing.
5+ As a queer person who falls into the + of the acronym, it can be extremely difficult to find representation that speaks to me on an individual level. While I've been fortunate to find quite a few asexual books, I've never connected as much with a character as I do Zhong.
I've been looking forward to this book for months and thank you so much to Reese Morrison for providing me with an ARC, it brought me so much joy. Let me start this review by saying you have to read books 2 (Love Lessons) and 3 (Love Limits) before starting this. Maybe even don't read this whole review if you haven't started the series because it's pretty impossible to avoid spoilers since book 4 (Love Unlimited) is the merging of the two couples into a poly relationship.
Okay, so my main thoughts during this entire read was that I wanted more. I wanted so much more. Even with this being 370 pages I wanted it to be twice as long and realistically I know that's a little ridiculous, but I just love these characters and could spend all my time in their universe.
This book is special in a lot of ways for me but I think what Reese Morrison did exceptionally well in this one is stay true to their character arcs. You know these are characters that we've had for multiple books now and they somehow are all able to grow and develop as humans will also maintaining their own uniqueness and personalities throughout. I did get a little worried that in the asexual character, Zhong, was going to go back on his limits that were set up really really definitively and books two and three, but that didn't happen. And it was such a breath of fresh air. I loved that he held strong and true to the fact that he did not want to participate in sexual activity and even if he is present for a couple of those scenes his body is not included. I don't know if that makes sense but the fact that he learned how to navigate his romantic attraction and his desire for a pol y relationship all without sacrificing his hard limit on sex was so well done. I don't even have the words to explain how momentous that was.
This review is a whole hot ass mess but I have too many motions and I don't know how to condense them and just something that resembles a review.
I think it all boils down to the fact that I loved all of the main characters I'd loved how realistic the kink elements were and the unapologetic stance about consent and limits and conversation. There are steamy scenes that are interrupted to have a conversation about consent. There are awkward conversations and what really felt true to life about poly relationships and navigating multiple queer identities and bodies and kinks altogether.
I just want to write a little love letter to Zhong because like I said at the very beginning of this, I have found a lot of asexual characters that I identify with, but none so strongly as I do with Zhong's sexuality. His steadfastness In his asexuality resemble mine. I'm very confident in my asexual identity at this point but I am working through a lot of similar conflicting feelings about romantic attraction and relationships and interest in kink etc. My mentality towards sex is a lot like his and that I find it fascinating and while I don't have a physical notebook that I carry around, I do have a notes app with all sorts of different things I've learned about sex and kink that just are so interesting to me. The way that he approaches relationships with that scientific mindset and his love of physical affection with that underlying fear of it being pushed too far. Everything about him is relatable for me. It's one of my favorite things about reading new asexual characters is seeing how vast and diverse that asexual spectrum is and having a kinky sex neutral asexual was something I didn't know I needed so desperately.
I also loved Landon/Lena's growth in this one. The multi POV style works wonders and seeing him learn about his own emotional vulnerability and how she uses sex and attraction was really special to see. It felt very vulnerable to read all of Landon's chapters. He probably has the most character development throughout this series and it was just amazing to see.
I also loved Dustin's development. Seeing him go from a brand new self-conscious Dom terrified of hurting someone to a stern badass Daddy Dom who is confident in his actions and his ability to provide what Landon/Lena needs and eventually Ash and Zhong as well.
I have loved Ash from the very second they were introduced and that didn't change with this one. Ash probably has the least character development but is a very constant source of joy and energy and enthusiasm that the three others desperately need. It was very clear that these four worked better together than any other configuration. The conviction that Ash has about their relationship with Zhong and their willingness to protect him at all costs even though they are the sub/little/puppy and Zhong is their daddy, kind of embodied what BDSM means. It's that feedback loop of consent and communication and trust those beautifully incorporated.
This one is unapologetically queer. It is unapologetically Deaf and it is unapologetically wonderful. The author's not the beginning of this mentions that ASL is less of a conversation topic and this one and that's mostly just because the four of them have an established relationship and they don't necessarily discuss as much of their lives outside of their house as they do in the earlier books. There is still the distinction of when they're using ASL and the description of what some of the signs look like though. It's Just that in the first few books we had chapters where the characters were interacting with hearing people and talking about some of their struggles, that doesn't happen as much in this one because they're usually all around other Deaf people.
I'm going to stop myself because I could probably go on and on, and perhaps I will at some point, but for now I just want to urge everyone to read this and enrich your lives with this wonderful queer kinky deaf romance series.
Rep: Deaf (auditory processing disorder) white bisexual MC - Daddy Dom Deaf White Genderfluid queer MC - bratty sub, middle (age play), switch Deaf Chinese American panromantic asexual MC - Daddy Dom, handler (more daddy less Dom), described at one point as a service daddy since he is so focused on providing safety and security. Deaf (uses hearing aids minimally) POC intersex genderqueer MC - sub, little, puppy
While this series features age play, there isn't any ABDL and there Are not sex scenes between little/daddy, there is a scene or two with Landon/Lena as a middle in age play though. There's also a sexual puppy play scene at the end and the other puppy scenes are non-sexual.
Reread November 2022 Just as amazing as the first time
Please don't let this be the end!! The four people in this polycule were perfect for each other and I was glad to see that each person was a couple with everyone and not just loving when all were together.
But I need more Marco and Greg, considering they were in the first book then disappeared as a couple. I need a follow up with them.
I loved this book so much, though this actually had very little sexytimes as a poly group until 85% in, I felt the love, which is hard to get right when it comes to poly.
OH. MY. GOSH. THERE ARE JUST SO MANY THINGS TO ADORE ABOUT THIS BOOK!! WHERE DO I BEGIN!!
We have - so much beautiful, wonderful Deaf culture - an asexual character - board games - CUDDLING - CUTENESS OVERLOAD - a beautiful array of gender identities and gender expression - a beautiful array of kink - HEALTHY, HONEST COMMUNICATION X 1000000 - a polycule of people who truly love and care about each other building a family together
I just loved this book so, so much. I have to be honest, when I read Dustin and Landon/Lena's story in Love Lessons I ... I didn't hate them but I didn't love them. And then I all but LEAPT at Zhong and Ash's story in Love Limits, because ASEXUALITY HERE I COME. I adored Zhong and Ash so, so much, they were just so amazingly sweet together and I loved them. And an unexpected part of Love Limits that I adored was Zhong's conversation with Dustin where they both realized, somewhat belatedly, that they were (and have been) in a romantic relationship for years.
It's something that felt all too relatable to me -- trying to find that line between really close friendship and a romantic relationship as an asexual person. Society and media all tell us that you're in a relationship once you're kissing and having sex with the person and also emotions are involved. Well, what's the word for when you have all the emotions but none of the sex?
It's entirely because of that conversation between Zhong and Dustin that I got really excited for this book, because I really wanted to see how Reese brought these four characters together. And DAMN was it beautiful to witness.
There were so many intimate moments -- and yes, I mean intimate and not sexy, although there were plenty of those too. Zhong and Dustin slowly coming back together, cuddling and just relaxing in each other's company. Landon finding his footing at Ash's side, seeing the lighter, sweeter aspects of age play and helping him make some realizations about his own dynamic with Dustin. Landon and Zhong gardening together(!!). Ash guiding the others in this journey but also making mistakes themself, and learning from them. Ash and Zhong being absolutely adorable together, forever and always.
Reese put so much care into crafting this story -- into giving all these characters moments to talk and grow closer together and establish boundaries and expectations -- that by the time they all had their "happy ending" in the final chapter, it didn't feel like an explosive climax scene with a quick "happy ever after" bow on the top. Instead, it was like a peaceful sigh in front of a warm fireplace. These four had been building a relationship for the entire book -- not overcoming desire or dealing with angst, but literally laying the foundation for a solid, healthy relationship -- so the ending was like a satisfying, Yes, this is how things should be. Yes.
This feels very rambly and I'm not even sure I said everything I want to say, but I just !!! love this book so much and will probably be thinking about it for a long, long while.
You should at very least read Love Lessons and Love Limits before this one since it's a continuation of those two couples. Love Language also has a character that appears in the next books but it's not as much requirement as book #2 and #3 (I still recommend it).
.
I devoured this book, pretty much in one sitting. To say I was anticipating its release would be playing it down. It did not disappoint in the least.
You have four main characters, all distinct and unique in their ways of talking and acting, with different jobs and lifestyles that could easily take over the story but it never feels crowded or unbalanced. Morrison handles it all with the grace and depth it deserves.
This book is about so much: family; romance; kink; communication. Getting to know yourself. I just love how aware Zhong is when it comes to other people's needs but struggles to understand his own and putting himself first. I love how Landon's growth continues and how that also changes how Lena interacts with everyone. I love that Dustin is finding his place and standing up for what he wants. I love how Ash's intuitiveness drew them all together without putting them on a pedestal and letting them be just as complex. This never really gets messy or toxic but it's not some idealistic dream either. They all put in the work to let their relationships grow and not be defined by what a monogamous, heteronormative society might make them believe is the only right way.
A heavy focus is also on communication. Being honest about your kinky needs, speaking up about other wishes, explaining your feelings, and discussing your limits. There are so many beautiful, funny, deep, and romantic conversations that really cut into the heart of what it means to be in a romantic relationship. The honesty at how they tackle any possible "problem" and the willingness to find a solution, maybe just to be there for one another and give it their all brought tears to my eyes. The commitment these four have for each other is inspiring.
The love I have for this book is, as the title might suggest, unlimited.
I received an Advanced Reading Copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
The good + Everything. This book was just *chef's kiss* + Zhong's fascination with people + Zhong's notebook + Ash's exuberance + Ash guiding everyone through poly difficulties + Dustin finding his confidence in his dominance + Dustin giving Ash stickers! + Landon/Lena taking on the role of Ash's big sibling + Landon/Lena's growth in talking about feelings and trusting their relationship + The way their relationship evolved + Ash and Landon/Lena going on spy missions + Ash hanging out in Dustin's office + All the dates + The clear communication and honesty between everyone + How they made the house their own + Hair braiding + Little gifts + The way ASL was described and words and meanings were explained
The neutral o Ash's mom was their best friend. I had really hoped to have at least a few paragraphs dedicated to her meeting all of Ash's partners officially for the first time. Such a good mom deserves that
The bad - The book ended
Quotes x "Think of me like a lava lamp, but cuter." x "I would take a dental exam over sex. I like my dentist." x "You're perfect and I love you, too. Now get back to massaging my feet."
These people were amazing. Six stars. Would recommend.
The last two books established Dustin & Landon and Ash & Zhong’s respective relationships. This is about how they become a polycule and it is one slow burn. (Definitely read those books first.) It’s very much a character-driven, slice of life story, which makes sense. They’re navigating their insecurities, negotiating kink, and prioritizing consent for four people, all with very different preferences, genders, and sexualities. They have a lot to figure out, even Dustin and Zhong who have been best friends for over a decade but only recently realized they’ve actually been in a queerplatonic relationship all along.
I loved all four characters in their respective books so I figured I’d be very into how they became a foursome. And it was indeed enjoyable to read, just not as much as their individual books because wasn’t any narrative drive. That’s not bad but it turned out not to be a good fit for my current reading mood and so it was very easy to set to the side. However, this will be great for anyone looking for a low conflict, character-driven story. The last two books built toward this one so perfectly and it was fascinating to watch how the characters built romantic and/or sexual relationships with each other over time. I was particularly glad to see how easily the others affirmed Zhong’s asexuality while figuring out ways to involve him in their relationship(s) that felt good to him. My preference probably would have been for it to be less of a slow burn and for us to have more time with them in a fully established, committed polyamorous relationship instead of getting to that at the very end. Still, I’m impressed with how the author was able to pull all the threads together. It’s a very realistic depiction of what goes into polyamory and it was satisfying to see how perfect all four were for each other.
Characters: Landon/Lena is a 30 year old Deaf queer genderfluid white middle school math and science teacher and Switch/middle. Dustin is a 34 year old bisexual white programmer and Dom with Auditory Processing Disorder (APD). Ash is a 29 year old Deaf polyamorous genderqueer, intersex white nursing home nurse, artist, fashion designer, and submissive/little. They sometimes wear hearing aids. Zhong is is a 33 year old Deaf asexual panromantic Chinese American freelance editor, proofreader, and service Daddy. He is on the neurodivergent spectrum.
Content notes: neurodiverse MC, ableism, descriptions of intersex MC’s genitalia, Landon’s brother is autistic and sister has mental health issues, on page sex, D/s, age play, puppy play, menage, pain play, impact play, predicament bondage, rope play, praise kink, anal play, voyeurism, cock cage, sex toys, orgasm control, outdoors sex, cissexist language, ableist language
Dustin, Landon, Zhong and Ash - who but Reese Morrison would have tried the balancing act of not just getting these four into couples, but then trying to make all four of them work in a poly relationship. Morrison pulls it off beautifully. What I look for in a good poly relationship story is that all the partners maintain their identities and individual characteristics, all the partners are respected and have their needs listened to, being able to believe all the partners could in fact live and thrive together a good indication of why the poly relationship makes sense over the couple one(s). All these criteria were met and exceeded in this story. Great characters, great relationships among them.
What a wonderful ending to the series and what a wonderful journey. It was such a joy to read Dustin, Landon, Ash and Zhong’s story to their happily ever after. Absolutely amazing book.
freakin perfect... amazing.. this series is everything i never knew i wanted or needed until i read it. i love it so much.. also you must read the first 3 before this one to understand it. it is wonderful and amazing. i love it
Love Unlimited is the fourth book in the Love Language series by Reese Morrison. This book is the continuation of Love Lessons and Love Limits and is about Dustin, Landon/Lena, Zhong and Ash. I loved this book so much. They fit so well together. Their story was sweet, sexy, fun, full of feels and very well written.
A new Reese Morrison book to make my week!!! And it's the end of the series so I might never see these characters again *crying*.
"Love Unlimited" is not the regular "meet, fall in love, conquer all problems" romance arc or a quick read with a poly HEA and average kinky sex to spice up your day. If you are looking for a healthy depiction of romance where there is plenty of talking and people taking their time with sex scenes hot as lava, you will love it. This is a story about four regular people that love each other and are considering changing the parameters of their relationship(s). It is also the sequel to "Love Lessons" and "Love Limits" so it might be best to begin there. And since you are there, "Love Language" is AWESOME.
I think of this book as a slow-burn, but one where most romantic relationships are already formed and where the romance and/or physical intimacy takes a passenger seat compared to the existing bonds of care, respect and friendship. As a reader, I was both rooting for them to be together romantically and happy to see them be comfortable and happy hanging out as friends who loved each other.
These characters took their time knowing each other and themselves and changing their relationships only after making sure everyone was comfortable and knew what was going on and what to expect of an ethical polyamorous relationship where people got different things from different people and that was never seen as something sad or a lack on someone's part but people finding the most amount of happiness and care from those they loved.
It was so comforting to read a romantic story where physical intimacy meant more than sex and has different degrees of importance depending on the character and relationship but that just felt real: real people that were not Hollywood pretty being seen as desirable, real sex scenes that involved preparation and cleaning up after and a believable depiction of different kinds of families and how queerness is seen by them.
This being a book about two pre-established romantic relationships, also allowed the author to immerse us not only on the romantic side of them but on the day to day like of being busy with work or meeting the partner's family as well as how to present their relationship depending on who they are around. I liked seeing that being portrayed as a personal choice and self-preservation rather than making a character feel pushed back into the closet or unsure about their partner's commitment.
Reese Morrison once again was able to write a romantic story without falling into any cliches of what a kinky relationship is supposed to look like. I particularly liked seeing scenes in which Doms were also taken care of, comforted, and reassured as much as their subs but most of all I loved seeing people's boundaries not be questioned or need an explanation to be respected. In romance books particularly, there's this idea that your boundaries change for THE ONE once they ask you about them and magically know how to make you conform to what is expected by them and society in the bedroom. Here that does not happen and penetrative sex is not the only kind of valid intimacy: people do what they want and are comfortable in the bedroom and it's still one of the HOTTEST books I have ever read (think Ao3 kind of hot!).
I am gonna miss these characters and the universe so much.
Thank you so much to the author for allowing me to read their book. I can barely wait for whatever they gift us with next.
*recommend reading this series in order due to relationship and character development* What a stunning way to complete this series. Dustin, Landon/Lena, Zhong and Ash have all come so far since first meeting them all, individually, as couples and as a group. You cannot help but call in love with them all and kick by a favourite is a little like picking a favourite child. A worry when it comes to a story with four MC's is one of some of them having either not enough of too much time in their POV but they are each given their own time to share personal developments as well as how they are all progressing within their relationships. Each character stands out as individual with their own personality, identity, orientation etc and has an important role to play in what they are building as a group. We start this book with two couples, Dustin and Landon, and Zhong and Ash but the bonds of friendship and attraction strengthen and grow as they spend so much time together. There are so many tender, loving moments between friends, partners and lovers while they are learning new things about each other and how they fit into each other's lives. Reese has allowed a view into the lives of people who are members of the deaf, LGBTQIA+ and kink community which, having all three, isn't necessarily a mix met very often but I've found it so interesting with such a mix of orientations and identities as well as not having read books mostly taking place in ASL. I learned and thought about things that I never come across in my daily life as well as feel a sense of kinship with one of the MC's, making it personal to me and so interesting to read. I cannot recommend the book and series enough. Heartwarming and entertaining, this book does not fail to draw you in from the start and carry you along on the emotional journey of four people looking to live their lives with those that mean the most to them. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
I finished this story - and series - with such a full and happy heart. It's been such a passionate, intense, accepting, unpredictable, and incredibly loving journey for couples Dustin and Landon/Lena, and Zhong and Ash, over the previous two books, and continues here.
Their relationships intersect in this story in a way befitting their uniqueness as partners and individuals, as new facets of themselves and what they all mean to one another are developed and revealed in the process.
There is so much to love about this story and series as a whole - diverse representation (in several arenas) being one, and that diversity being presented so positively, thoughtfully, and respectfully being another. It's a celebration of what makes us all unique - whether that's physically, emotionally, how we identify, etc. - all told through the eyes of four considerably different people brought together by friendship and love.
Another great strength of "Love Unlimited" is the unhurried manner in which each MC is given to explore, accept, and embrace themselves, their desires, feelings, sexuality, identity, and relationships. They all discover and process at their own pace and without pressure, and seeing their realizations all intersect in the story's HEA end was so fulfilling.
I'd highly recommend reading Books 2 and 3 beforehand to fully experience the remarkable journeys of personal growth and self-discovery of the four MCs, particularly Landon/Lena, and their relationship(s) arc. It's one of the best book journeys - and this story arc is a journey - I've taken, regardless of genre.
Love Unlimited has two Daddy Doms with very different age play styles, a fierce middle, a sweet little, impact play, puppy play, and a HEA for everyone. This is the fourth in the Love Language series celebrating Deaf characters and Deaf culture.
I enjoyed this story and seeing more of the two couples and how it was possible for them to expand from two couples into a four people polyamorous relationship. I loved the way that Zhong had found a way to take part and how Ash had shown him the joy of watching faces. I love the way that they all use sign language and that the book carefully uses italics to show it. Easy to read, feel and understand I loved the merging of the different relationships. This is an MMMM story with mature content and BSDM-like DDLB/DDLG and D/d puppy play dynamics.
** Please note this book continues the storylines from Love Lessons and Love Limits, which should be read first.
I wasn't 100% sure how this was all going to come together when I heard the premise. But if there is one person I trust to do this and do it well, it is Reese Morrison. They did not disappoint.
I wouldn't quite call them a foursome. This is more about two separate couples coming together and finding a polyamorous connection. It's really beautiful. Heartfelt and honest connections are really what the series is known for and this book is no exception. As far as characters go, they are all amazing and super well-developed. I can't tell you how happy I am that we got to see more of puppy Ash. They remains my favorite part of this entire book. Also, no spoilers but this smutt is really hot. That's all I'm going to say.
This is a really beautiful conclusion to a series. You do need to read the two previous books for this to make any sense whatsoever and for the emotions to hit properly. Don't worry, it's no hardship. If you're looking for an incredibly inclusive series with awesome deaf/ Deaf rep, this is it. This book is a perfect example of why I read romance and how romance can be beautiful and powerful and even life changing. Five stars because I kind of want to learn ASL now.
At last the fourth and final book in the series is upon us! And it was everything I imagined. It was a bit of a slow burn to the four individuals becoming a song unit, but that didn’t mean their wasn’t any steaminess. As usual Lena/Landon and Dustin brought the sexy. But as with all the other books my favorite character is still Zhong. Identifying as asexual, he doesn’t bring much if any steam (unless you count being hot and liking kissing and cuddles), but he brings All The Feels. It is almost as if without sex, it becomes even more clear how much love he has for each member of their “family”. And I can’t leave out dear Ash. They are so sweet and I love how they never pressure Zhong for sex even when they are definitely physically attracted to him and they get all hot and bothered by Lena and Dustins PDA. All in all, a lovely finale to a lovely series. These characters have such depth, you won’t regret getting to know them by starting at the beginning to get here. In full disclosure, I received this book as ARC but I definitely would have read and reviewed it this way anyways cuz I love this series. This way I just get to read it sooner! Lol. Enjoy everyone!
What an amazing conclusion to a unique, engrossing, powerful series.
The Love Language series has continually amazed me, with its detailed and supportive inclusion of trans, genderqueer, genderfluid, and Deaf/deaf characters using ASL. Reese gives us clear insight into the sexuality of the characters, as well as the culture of the Deaf characters, while also providing us with a good dose of education.
In this finale, these four very unique and awesome characters realize their connections and their lives are even more complete together than in separate pairs. Somehow, Reese took these four people, with all of their disparate strengths, concerns, histories, and challenges, and positioned them in a perfect way to grow and evolve into the next, lasting, permanent phase of their relationships.
The emotions are strong in this book and, like the other books in the series, the evolution is slow. You get the opportunity to be immersed in these characters’ thoughts, emotions, and realizations. Their love is beautiful and I’m forever thankful for authors like Reese who craft such inclusive, realistic, and enthralling books.
Love Unlimited is a fantastic romance in which two couples merge into one loving relationship. I absolutely fell into this Reese Morrison immediately and couldn't devour it fast enough.
I love this book! It's emotional, hits on a unique dynamic, and is definitely hot.
These men are all amazingly unique. And there's a lot going on in this book. Their tale includes living as a gender queer person, living as a deaf person, Daddy dynamics, age play, puppy play, and plenty more. There's some bondage and plenty of littles interacting.
The age play scenes are wonderful, totally caring and sweet, and the puppy play scenes are heart-warming. I also really appreciate the comparison between age play and puppy play.
But it's the four men together that makes this story so darn special. There's so many layers to each relationship and I love the way everything evolves into more.
Love Unlimited is a great read. I love this romance and can't get enough of Reese Morrison's unique stories.
This review is for all four books in The Love Language Series.
Wow. I almost don't have words to express how utterly beautiful this series was.
Every single character was so unique in all of the very best ways. Reese has an amazing ability to really make characters shine and stand out in a way I won't be able to forget any time soon.
I have to say I felt the deepest connection to Landon/Lena. Their thought process and insecurities so often reflected my own lived experience.
Reese really created something special here, something that will stick with me for a very long time.
I learned so much through this series, and I can honestly say I haven't read a series that made me think as much or as eager for more knowledge as this one did.
The spicy parts were beautiful (and hot!), but for me, that played a background role to the intimacy shared between each individual character.
I got an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review. Omg this book is above any expectations. I adore them 4. I had the privilege to read the ARC for almost all the serie and it's one of my favourite ever. It's wonderful how Reese describes every couple, alone, together, with 2 or 3 of them, in any way shape or form. And all the ways they spend time: game nights, movie nights, the rock band. Amazing! And how they care for each other: "so does that mean you want to do that again?" "Too much for Ash, but good for me. They would need something gentler." And my heart melt. It explained how commuication is always important, even in the middle of a scene. And it feels natural, just like - ok we'll talk about this and move on. I can't reccommend this serie - no, this author - enough! This is not a standalone, you need to read at least book 2 and 3, but book 1 is absolutely worth the reading as well.
Four different people and four identities, so different yet they fit together so well. Ash, Landon, Dustin and Zhong all have different wants and needs yet the four find that what they have is worth so much. Each person has layers to them that are slowly peeled back. Can they figure out just where they belong and want to be?
This is a wonderful book that gives readers a look at each of these characters and what they need. I loved each of them and enjoyed this deeper look into their lives. Every one of them has something special that endeared them to this reader. Getting to see the way the four work through everything makes for a beautiful read. As an Asian it was nice to see more of Zhong and his world. I really like that he is a main character, and we see more of his Asian heritage. The author does a nice job of bringing Ash, Landon, Dustin and Zhong together and allowing their emotions to be front and center. I am excited to see what else will come for these characters.
I was in love with this book almost the entire way through. (more on that later) I could feel the love and emotions in this book. The connections were beautiful to read, they were described amazingly, you could feel the passion. I love these characters and how they each held their own identities even through their kink expression. Sometimes it seems that a little is only talked about as a little in books. Ash was a well rounded adult as well. Zhong & Dustin's relationship was comfort and bliss. Landon/Lena had so much growth during this book. I'm glad it was a bit longer than poly books normally are. Everyone got good page time. My only disappointment was how it ended. Don't worry it was a HFN. But I wish it had ended on a more connected scene of the 4 of them together. If felt disconnected and I was left wanting some warm fuzzies of an ending of all four of them being domestic together.
I'm nearly speechless after finishing Love Unlimited. I always forget just how gentle and loving of an author Reese Morrison is, and then I'm lucky enough to read another of her books. It's truly an experience!
This is the fourth book in the Love Limits series and I think it may just be the best. It's a lovely culmination of the relationships we've seen bloom in the last three books. This one focuses on Zhong and his partner Ash, and Dustin and his partner Landon/Lena. It's better read if you've read the others in the series first.
Reese has an amazing gift for making the reader become part of her stories - I feel like I know these four characters personally! I'm honestly sad to leave the little family they've created for themselves. I can't recommend this sweet and steamy read enough - a definite 5 stars!
Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Okay i have so been waiting for this book after the whole Dustin and Zhong talk Lena and Ash also because who couldn't see the excitement on that one. Poor Ash didn't know what hit them as Lena flirtatious ways kicked in high gear. Zhong and Ash will becoming over. After the heartfelt talk between Dustin and Zhong, worry for his new relationship with Landon/Lena he had backed off that reoute but a party game night that has Dustin nervous as the daddy, Dustin is over the moon and so excited to see more of Lena. They are all still technically learning the ins and outs of their partners. Only the night is about to open new doors that could very well end all types of ways. Sweet goodness, their play is off the charts.
Reese Morrison writes real people in the real world.
That. Right there👆🏼… that’s my review.

You’re welcome.
Okay, I’ll give a bit more. 🙄 I mean. I’ll try??
It’s just …. this series {𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘨𝘦} but especially the last 3 books featuring Dustin, Zhong, Landon/Lena, and Ash had me so completely tied up in my emotions that I just want to wallow. In a wonderfully healthy and happy way.
I always enjoy reading Reese Morrison, because they never fail to teach me or open my eyes to something new. That ‘something’ could be wonderful, horrible, lovely, heartbreaking, educational, kinky … who knows. But I never close one of their published works a lesser human.
Reese has taken the reader on such a beautiful journey with Dustin & Landon/Lena and then Zhong & Ash. To finally get to experience the development and awareness of their polycule family was almost an honor. I honestly still don’t have the right words to properly express how exceptional this story truly is.
Second read: Loved this as much as the first time, though the ending does feel like it comes out of nowhere a bit. Wish it had just one more lighter scene as an epilogue.
First read: I was really looking forward to this book after having read the previous ones in the series, and I 👏 was 👏 not 👏 disappointed! I absolutely love that the four characters had, both in the first two books and then in the first half of this book, time to really get to know each other and strengthen their individual relationships, before they all got together into a polycule. I also just absolutely adore polyamory that involves at least one ace character, and I hope I can find more books with that trope in it.
I'm tearing up just writing this review, thinking about this book. I just love these characters so much. They will always have a special place in my heart.
