I searched for this book after reading a volume about Church's teacher, Thomas Cole. This book was released in conjunction with a major showing of Church's works (in the 1980s) and has full-color reproductions of all the paintings that were on display. The accompanying essays are also interesting. I have become a major admirer of Church's work as a result.
