Keeping Promises

Rate this book
Jeremy M. Dunn III has the single dad thing down, so the last thing he wants to do is call his ex-husband to ask for help with their two kids. They didn’t part on good terms, and they’ve barely spoken since the divorce. But with a cast on his arm that goes up past his elbow, Jeremy has no choice. He needs a few days to figure out how to bathe their daughter, make school lunches and parent their son one-armed, and there isn’t anyone else he can ask for help.

Former rodeo cowboy West Belen was already on his way back to his kids, and to Trey (“the third”, his nickname for Jeremy). He made a promise to try again, and he means to keep it, so when he sees his chance to move back into his family’s life, he grabs it like the brass ring he knows it is. He’s determined to be more than an “every other weekend” dad to his children, and he doesn’t want to keep on living with regret about how he and Trey ended.

Jeremy still desires West, but he isn’t sure he can trust West to be responsible and available. West still thinks Trey is the hottest thing he’s ever seen, but he has no idea how to convince the man he’s ready to settle down. The two of them have never had trouble butting heads, but now they need to learn to work together to make a home for themselves and their kids where they both belong.

JODI spent too many years in New York and San Francisco stage managing classical plays, edgy fringe work, and the occasional musical. She, therefore, is overdramatic, takes herself way too seriously, and has been known to randomly break out in song. Her men are imperfect but genuine, stubborn but likable, often kinky, and frequently their own worst enemies. They are characters you can’t help but fall in love with while they stumble along the path to their happily ever after.

For those looking to get on her good side, Jodi’s addictions include nonfat lattes, Malbec and tequila however you pour it. She’s also obsessed with Shakespeare and Broadway musicals. She can be found wearing sock monkey gloves while typing when it’s cold, and on the beach enjoying the sun and the ocean when it’s hot. When she’s not writing and/or vacuuming sand out of her laptop, Jodi mentors queer youth and will drop everything for live music. Jodi lives near New York City with her beautiful wife, and together they are mothers of dragons (cleverly disguised as children) and slaves to an enormous polydactyl cat.

This is a sweet second chance story so If you enjoy fluffy family moments this book has them in spades. It was cute, fun, and the kids were adorable but after a while, I got a little bored. Even when I enjoy sweetness I really need character development and some drama or at least some kind of plot and didn't find it here.

DNF @ 30%.

I wouldn't have thought based on the blurb that West and Jeremy would be pretty much back together by the 20% mark.

I definitely wouldn't have thought based on them expressing that the other was an "infuriating asshole" or an "uptight asshole". Or wanting to hit/beat/murder the other (how romantic, and healthy). Or wanting to pour paint on the other's head.

And the "honey" and "baby" is driving me nuts. Jeremy calls West "honey" about 75 times. It's a little less clear with West, because "baby" is used 2x the amount, but not only it is his pet name for his (ex-) husband, but it's what he calls his daughter more often than not.

Also, bad enough to have favourites among your kids, but to say you have a soft spot for your daughter because she is biologically yours, and to refer to her as "your" kid, but collectively as "our kids" just seems icky to me. So because your son didn't come from your sperm, he is less your son?

And who is Josh?

Josh was picking them and the rest of his shit up in six weeks.

I feel like West must have originally been Josh, because the name only pops up once in the book, and that this one just slipped through.

And in chapter 7, West tells Jeremy about his condo. Then in chapter 9, when he mentions it again, Jeremy replies, "Your... you have a condo?"

I was just really looking for a nice, bittersweet story of two men who once loved each other slowing finding their way back to each other. I don't know what the other 70% of the book will be about, since they've already seemed to decide to get back together without even really talking things over. That, paired with some of the other issues just makes this not something I want to waste my time on.

DNF at 39%

I contantly had the feeling these guys didn't really know each other that well, even though they'd been married for years and their oldest son was 7.

I also had the idea that these guys never once talked before they got divorced. And I had no idea what they thought they'd solved together since they got back together again. I would have thought a VERY long conversation was needed. But no, these guys act like everything is absolutely fine again without really diving into things.

I know I don't like second chance romance because there is often a ton of angst, but this was the complete opposite. At least give me a conversation where they work things out together.

This was such a cute book. I really liked both Trey and West and their second chance was heartwarming. But it was really the kids, Lukas and Ava who stole the show. I'm not always a fan of kids in books, especially not romances since they tend to become carbon copies of kids. In this one however, they really made the story so much better.

Was it perfect? Nope. It would've needed a few more rounds of editing. There was some spelling errors and stuff like that, but I can totally recommend this book if you need something to warm your heart.

West was back with his ex and kids, he was in heaven. It took Jeremy/Trey, falling and breaking, to let West come home.
Jeremy/Trey has red wavy hair, 32, a suit and tie

wearing businessman, has shared custody of Lukas, 7, and Ave,4.
West lives for his kids and wants his family back for good.
West, 30s, is a Rodeo Cowboy

who lost his father figure, Hank, and then he retired, and invested well. It was time.
West jumps right in corralling the kiddos, feeding, rides to school and enjoying being there.
Hesitantly, the men talk and West is clear, he wants his whole family back in his arms. He needs them like air to breathe.

This story is so fun and heartwarming, with parenting and a deserved second chance. We get a front row seat to the rekindled romance, and the love each has for the other. The two kids are totally cute and realistic, Lukas and Ava. Several issues arise, we watch how it's dealt with.
Good and bad, thick and thin, the bond that broke two years ago, is coming back together.

I loved West's fierce nature, his strength and deep passion. Trey is just as passionate and an excellent Dad, too. Trey loves his family with every fiber of his being. These men are meant to be together.

This is a beautiful story.
Highly recommended.
ENJOY !

Rounded up from 3.5

One thing I really appreciate about Jodi Payne and BA Tortuga is that they aren't afraid to write mature characters who've had differences and who work through them. In Keeping Promises, the two MCs are divorced with children, but end up working on their marriage and learning to communicate. It's a sweet, second-chance romance with fairly low angst.

We've met characters like these before in this pair's books. The banty-rooster bull rider Texan, the non-Texan, non-cowboy who got tired of taking a back seat to that harsh mistress, rodeo. The precocious children.

I enjoyed the side characters, who kept the story from being all about the children and the food. I'd have liked to explore more of West and Trey's feelings instead of knowing what everyone ate at every meal, but it's still an entertaining read.

This is my second book by Jodi and B.A. and I really enjoyed this book as well.

This is a story about a second chance for West and Jeremy. They are divorced with two kids and when Jeremy get gets hurt West comes to the rescue to help with the kids.

Their reconciliation is low angst with cute kids of finding their way back to each other. I would have like a little more details on why they divorced etx but overall a nice easy read.

ENG- So well well well... well I still love the writing of these two authors as much and I always have a very, very good time reading. And it was still the case with this novel. My review isn't going to be long because I don't have much more to say than:

This novel, like all the others written by these two authors, is really nice. Once again we are in the world of cowboys and this time the difference is that West has just retired to come back to her ex-husband and their children.

The two men are really the opposite of each other and I have long wondered how they got married. But their love for each other is so obvious that we quickly understand what binds them.

However, I really liked the way Jeremy slowly comes to understand the importance of the rodeo world and his cowboy friends to West. The relationship between the two men is put back in place very quickly, maybe a little too quickly because at 40% of the novel they were in a relationship again ... But the authors manage to find trials for our two heroes without any times fall into the too much.

I especially liked all the passages about West and Hank. These are passages that moved me enormously and made me shed a few tears.

In summary, once again BA Tortuga and Jodi Payne deliver us a novel with all the ingredients that I adore: single fathers, cowboys and a lot of love.

[I received a digital arc for an honest review]

Keeping Promises
is a new Western mm Romance by Jodi Payne and BA Tortuga.

Since divorcing his rodeo cowboy ex-husband West, Jeremy has been handling being a single parent. When a painting mishap leaves him in a cast and without the use of his dominant hand he has to ask his ex for help with their kids. West has retired and never stopped loving his family so he jumps at the opportunity to help and hopefully convince Jeremy he deserves a second chance. They'll have to learn to communicate in order for their relationship to last the Long haul this time.

"do you think we can do this without hurting each other all over again?"

I quite enjoyed this little family. I loved West, you never once questioned how much he loved and cared for his children and Jeremy. Jeremy was without a doubt a wonderful father but I felt he was much too harsh with West, both in the past and present. When he decides to give him a second chance they were really sweet together and passionate in the bedroom. I can't not mention their kids who are just as important as their dads. Ava and Lucas were absolutely precious and put a smile on my face.

"No one has ever loved him like West; no one else ever would. And Wes knew it. "

Keeping Promises
is a second Chance Romance with very very low angst and quality steam. It's filled with copious amounts of family moments from trick or treating to snowball fights. I wish it had a little more drama or something. It seemed to drag it times and then just ended.

Second chance

Loved the story so much. The way both sides wanted the same thing just didn’t know how to get it. West was amazing and Trey came around. The kids were hilarious. And the cowboys were great.

It's time to keep my promise, I'm done with rodeos and ready to retire, I have invested well and after losing my best friend and mentor to cancer, I realised life is short and it's time to get my family back. I lost my husband because I was never there, raising a family when one partner is gone all the time and or  injured is tough, so he divorced me and we shared the kids when I had time. When he has an accident, breaks his arm and asks me to help, I know this is the perfect time because want my guy back now if I can just convince him.

West was an intense, in your face, foul mouth cowboy. He made some mistakes, but he was a really good man. Then there was Jeremy(Trey) who I did not like at first introduction. Talk about someone needing to get their head out of their ass, Trey made me want to throat punch him. Trey knew who/what West was when he married him, decided to have kids with him, yet he divorced him because of it. He claimed to love this man, but his words and actions were not that of a loving husband. I felt bad for West, he was by no standard a Saint, he should have fought the divorce, but you understand through the story why he didn't. But, he took the steps he needed to one day get his family back. To be able to support and provide for them, to prove he was worthy, although he was really worthy all along. As I got further into the story I did start warming to Trey. And, I adored their kids. Little Ava is a force of chaos that will never be tamed. It broke my heart how scared both Ava and Lukas were of West leaving, they needed him, and he needed them. As Trey finally decided to take the time to actually notice the West who came home to him, and work towards rebuilding their relationship, I found myself falling for them as a couple more and more. However, I still feel that Trey is a bit unworthy of West. Lucky for him, his husband doesn't share my feelings about that, so they get their happy ending.

This book was twice as long as it needed to be. There was too little talking about their past and what went wrong, resolution of their issues, and actual character development and growth being shown, and too many irrelevant tiny details that added nothing to the story at all (vomiting child, West's friends getting stuck, going on holiday... what was the point?). Yawn.

I got an ARC of this book.

Second chance romances are very, very difficult. There is so much history that has to be conveyed without feeling clunky, then the new dynamic to work in. It is a tall order. I am not sure how successful this book was in it. There wasn’t a lot of detail that made me understand why the men were together now or then. There was nothing outside that they thought the other was hot.

The romance was very much physical. I didn’t really understand it at all. There was no moments that I was shipping them. I didn’t care if they got back together, but I knew they would. It is a romance after all. They got back together very quickly and with so little fanfare. I wanted a bit more angst and buildup. I needed to ship them before they jumped back into things, but I didn’t. I think a lot of that had to do with the kids.

I love romances that have loving parents and kids involved. I am such a sucker for found families and healthy families. The issue is, this book focused a lot on the kids and their daily care. There was so much about the kids that the romance got lost. I wanted them to be a family, but I didn’t understand why they were together as a couple. The characters were all a bit flatter than I am used to with Tortuga. I wanted more from everyone. There were so many characters that could have been interchangeable and only showed up to move the plot along, like Trey’s sister. I think a lot of this would have been solved if there was only one kid or if the kids’ daily care wasn’t so much the focus. There would have been room for characters to exist. All of the character growth happens off page and is told to the reader, instead of the reader knowing it is happening.

I still enjoyed the book, it was a lovely little fluffy novel. I smiled a lot reading it. It was one of those books that even when it isn’t the best, it was enjoyable. It ranks in the middle of all the gay cowboy romances I have read. It was sweet, there was talk about risks for sex, there was a found family. I just needed a bit more to really love it. If there was a sequel or a prequel. I would gladly invest in that story. I think this story is not done, though it is probably a standalone. I think another book would give this book more of what I needed and make it a stronger romance.

I loved this feel good story about second chances and family. West and Jeremy are both great characters, and I enjoyed them getting to know each other again, being with their kids, and working for their HEA. After reading this one, I went and bought the rest in the authors’ ‘shoe series’.

I liked how West and Jeremy discovered there were things they hadn’t known about each other, and how maturity and hindsight gave them both a different perspective on the past. I thought it was realistic that the reason they’d originally broken up wasn’t just one sided but they’d each had their part to play in it. I loved the family scenes and especially their day to day life with the kids. Both men are great dads, and it shows all the way through the story. I like how they never lost their love for each other, but had found it increasingly difficult to live together especially with West’s chosen profession and everything that comes with that. I liked that the authors didn’t pull any punches about how dangerous rodeo riding is, and that West has injuries that aren’t going to go away.

I loved West’s vocab, and the way he talks. I could hear him in my head as I read the story. I liked how he has shifted his focus onto what’s truly important and towards the future, rather than the past, and that he and Jeremy had to work at not making the same mistakes they had before.

I thought Ava and Lucas felt real, and I liked the way they reacted to West moving back, and how they didn’t just accept there would be a HEA. The temper tantrum was a great reminder of life with a preschooler and everything that entails.

I would have liked to have seen more of Hank as he was in a way the catalyst for getting West and Jeremy back together. He sounded like a great guy, especially with the way he took West under his wing and raised him, being a dad to him in all the ways that count. The family theme in this story isn’t just about West, Jeremy, and their kids, but Hank and his relationship with West, and in turn the younger cowboys West and Jeremy take under their wing. I thought it was bittersweet that Jeremy figures out too late what an important part Hank filled in West’s life, and it also showed how much they hadn’t communicated in their original relationship. And that’s on both sides.

I’m looking forward reading more by these authors.

I love a second chance romance. If there are cowboys and a redemption-based story arc so much the better. I was really looking forward to reading Keeping Promises, as we have all of these things in the mix. I had one (very subjective) reservation in that I've read a fair bit of fluff recently and was a bit concerned this would be overly sweet. I needn't have worried. This standalone is a great read with almost perfect balance. There's a lot of sweetness but it doesn't spill over into being saccharin and there's a fair bit of melancholy without it tipping into angsty despair. Also, both West and Jeremy (Trey) have some reflecting to do on the road to redemption: West for his not knowing how to prioritise family over career pre-divorce and Trey for his not understanding the situation they found themselves in which lead him to missing some pretty significant things post-divorce.

The characterisation in this family is fantastic. West is more than a stereotype/caricature of a Texan cowboy - his determination to live the family life he needs and the way he interacts with the children give him depth. Trey is loving and protective (even though it, naturally, takes him a bit of time to get with West's program) with layers enough to keep him engaging throughout the book. Their chemistry is great - it's clear early on that neither man ever stopped loving the other. Ava and Lukas, though? These children are little stars...great characters!

As for the storyline, there isn't a great deal of action. Everything is pretty much focused on rebuilding the family unit and routines, but there are some key events/issues. The thing is, though, I'm inclined to 'forgive' the lack of action because what we do have is just so well written. Keeping Promises gets 4.25* from me.

An ARC was provided by GRR. This is my honest review.

I really enjoy Jodi's contemporary romances as it incorporates the whole family, bringing them together but also continuing on to show how they grow better together.
Jeremy (Trey) finds himself in a bind when he breaks his elbow so ends up calling his ex husband for help with looking after their two children. A happy coincidence is that West was already making his way back to fight for the family he lost two years ago, every other weekend with his kids not enough and he missed his ex regardless of how things ended between them.
This was an entertaining read as there are funny moments, touching ones, arguments and hot times all blending together to to make a good story of a second chance romance. Jeremy and West are quite different in personality but, when they take the time to communicate thoughts and things that happen, they work really well together as a couple and parental unit. It's good for Jeremy to see how much West has changed over the two years, especially with his reasons as to why he wanted to get divorced. What I wasn't too sure on was how quickly they rekindled things with a lot less ado than I was expecting given they've barely spoken for two years and they are cursing each other out before coming back together to care for the children and Jeremy.
This is another good story from Jodi Payne with great characters, I loved the children especially and West's rodeo friends that pop up occasionally bring him a connection to his old life. We have love and loss, joy and pain that comes with a lot of understanding and care for all involved.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Second chance tropes are great and this story had my attention for being different than any other MM second chance I had ever read: divorced couple with two kids trying to reconnect.

Jeremy and West are opposites and their life together wasn't easy, but after 2 years apart, West wants his family back and he'll do whatever it takes to show Jeremy that he's changed and ready to be the huband he needs. It was amazing to see West putting himself in the position of caretaker and trying to get Jeremy's forgiveness. The interactions with the kids were adorable and West's friends were such good guys and they added a lot of fun to the dialogues. West's connection with his mentor was beautiful and emotional, I love to see how strong the binds of chosen family can be.

While I enjoyed the story and the characters very much, most of the story happens in the first third of the book, with all the drama and angst being left in the past. They talk about their previous problems and each tries to understand their own fault in the divorce, but it's more about reflecting of happened and making peace with each other. Then things become flat and the rest of the book is only about family scenes and everyday interactions, without really nothing important happening.

There were 2 situations when I thought things would go downhill, and I was expecting something to shake things up, but it never came. Maybe if it had been a shorter story, it could have kept my interest and enjoyment as high as it was in the first 30%.

Nonetheless, it's a lovely story and a very original plot. And this cover is BEAUTIFUL!

3,5 stars for me

I won’t turn down a chance to read a book by these two. Can BA Tortuga and Jodi Payne’s cowboys get any sweeter? Jeremy (or Trey as West calls him) and West divorced two years ago. They fought so often and West was gone so much that Trey just couldn’t handle it any more. Now he has a broken elbow on his dominant arm and can’t single parent one-handed, so he has to admit that he needs help. Unfortunately the only person he can call for help is his ex husband, the rodeo cowboy. West unbeknownst to him, has been making plans and has already retired from the rodeo. He wants his family back in any way he can get it and this is his perfect opportunity to win back his man and his kids. Both men had their part in their marriage falling apart originally and this book is all about them figuring out how to fix it. They both had to grow up a little and figure out what was more important. This story was so good! These authors can craft characters that make you fall in love with them, flaws and all. Both of these men have been hurt, but through the course of Trey’s healing, they figure out a way to heal more than just his arm. They heal each other’s hearts and their family. The kids in this book are so perfect. Lukas is old enough to remember West leaving and wants so badly to have him back.. Ava is happy to have everyone under one roof again. Both kids also have to relearn how to trust. This book has a lot of emotion and is a good example of just a “feel good” read. I highly enjoyed it.

I honestly really enjoyed the love story between Jeremy (Trey) and West. The determination in West coupled with the vulnerability in Trey kept me connected. Trey falls and breaks his arm doing chores...because his middle name is Klutz. His best friend is out on a honeymoon and the only option he can think of is to call his ex-husband. Hilarity and tension ensues and the entire family hunkers down for the ride. I would have given it 4.5 stars if I could. The reason for four stars was that, while the renewing romance was beautiful, it didn't seem entirely realistic. Many of us have gone through rough times in relationships...sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn't. You are stronger in the end when you sit (several times) and talk with each other about pain and hurt. You take responsibility and push through days and weeks and months while your trust in each other slowly grows. Healing relationships involving grappling and hard work. I just felt that Trey and West fell back together so fast...too fast. If I had a friend that just blindly dove back into a problematic relationship, I would probably tell them "be careful." Again, I loved the love between the two men...but don't buy insta-couple after the authors allude to the anger and resentment in the past. Had they worked through their issues and put in some sweat, blood, and tears, I would have 100% given this a 5-star review.

This is a heartbreaking, sweet, entertaining, romantic and heartwarming story. Two years ago Trey gave West an ultimatum, and West chose his career. For him it wasn't really a choice, but that was something that he hadn't communicated to Trey well enough. So throughout their separation Trey was angry at West for choosing his career over his family, and West was hurt because Trey got to keep their home and their children, and he was relegated to an every other weekend dad. When West's father figure was dying, he made West promise to try to get his family back. Then Trey had to call West for help. Trey broke his elbow and needed help with the kids. It was perfect for West, he moved himself into their home, albeit in the cellar, and was determined to never leave again. Trey didn't know that West had retired, or that he had lost his mentor, so he kept waiting for West to leave, while he ignored him. Eventually they started talking, and they both learned a new perspective of their relationship. Trey is mature, stubborn and a stickler for the rules. West is silly, playful and laid back. They're good for each other, and they love each other and their kids, but both have a bit of an issue with communication. I was into the story from page one, and was more into it with every page. I loved West, Trey and the kids. It's a beautiful second chance love story.

Keeping Promises is a Book about Redemption and Second Chances.

West and Jeremy (Trey) once were married but got divorced several years before the book starts. When Jeremy falls and breaks his elbow, he has no other chance to ask West for help to care for their children. West was already on his way to Jeremy and the children to fight for them to get back together. But can West and Jeremey sort out all their differences and obstacles that drove them once apart?

I liked the book. It was an easy read and has no angst. The characters were lovely, especially the two children Lukas and Ava. They were so adorable. West and Jeremy really fit together as a couple. The writing style of the book was captivating and easy to follow.

The only point to criticize and why I had to reduce one star in my rating was that the motivation of the characters was not always clear. So the reasons why they got divorced in the first place was not clear and there I would have wished for a little throwback to make that more clear for the reader.

But all in all a pretty solid read with no angst and a lot of second chances and redemption.

a terrific heartwarming romance of lovers reunited and happy second chances of HEA.

Cowboys n Kids rides again in a new release from authors Jodi Payne and B.A.Tortuga. This time is a pair of divorced dads, one’s a rodeo cowboy, who get their second chance at HEA. With a very cute couple of kids very much a part of the mixture.

This works well primarily because of a sense of established relationship between Jeremy M. Dunn and his ex rodeo cowboy West Belen.

You do get the sense that, however much time has passed, feelings were never the issue. So as a death and injury drives one home and the other to reach out for help, it feels real instead of rushed.

What’s nice is the slower pace here towards a permanent situation. It needs communication, something they weren’t very good at when younger.

The story has many sweet and delightful elements. The kids are great, each taking the reappearance and talks of permanence in their own ways. There’s also a pair of younger adorable rodeo cowboys who end up at Jeremy and West’s home like a couple of lost Golden Retrievers.

I would love to see them again.

Overall, a terrific heartwarming romance of lovers reunited and happy second chances of HEA.

And holidays!

It’s a treat to read. And it’s one I’m recommending

A promise West intends to keep...

and on Hank's deathbed he will. He'd had planned for some time to retire from rodeoing and now he committed to doing so. And to win back his husband Trey. He just needs to convince Trey of his intentions. Talk about a "lucky" break; cause Trey has broken his elbow (stupid chair) and he kinda grovels to West to help him with their kids just until Friday when he plans on hiring a nanny to take over his responsibilities. But wait a minute, West will have none of that. He sabotages the woman at the door, turns to Trey, straightens his back, puffs out his chest and moves into the home they had bought together. Now Trey is a stickler for order, order, order. And this was one of many bones of contention btw these two men. The other stumbling block was West's always being gone competing in various rodeos. West has his work cut out for himself and this story is a great read of family over everything else. Personalities conflict but love of their kids and love for each other will lead to a HEA in the end. I was given an ARC through GRR for my review of this story.

I can't decide if I liked this book or not. On one hand, it's got beautiful characterisation and it's written by well loved authors who I've read before. The depictions of family life are spot on and the kids behave perfectly within the bounds of their age group (there's no 4yo who still speak like they are 2 etc).

The idea of these older characters coming back to each other after a separation is also enticing.

On the other hand, most of the conflict occurs in the first 30% of the book and then it's pretty much just descriptions of the family going about their lives and therein lays my dilemma.

I kept reading until the end waiting for something to happen to throw a spanner in the works of their reunion but nothing really does. I don't even feel like they go through any real character growth once they come back together, most of that happened prior to the events in the book.

So, I remain undecided but I'm giving it 4 stars because it's beautifully characterised and I wasn't as disappointed by the lack of ongoing conflict as I thought I would be.

I received an ARC and have chosen to leave an honest review.

This story wrapped itself around me like a soft blanket that kept me warm from the first page to the last.
West, a former rodeo cowboy and Jeremy (Trey) are divorced parents of the adorable Ava and Lukas. They parted because of West’s job and his being absent from home. But West wants his family back and when Jeremy calls to ask him for help he can’t get there fast enough. All he wants to do is prove to Jeremy that he’s changed and get a second chance.
The two MCs and their children captured my heart and I loved being along for the ride as they found their way back to each other and the family they both made. Add in some wonderful side characters in Brady and Lowell and this was a memorable read for me. My only small issue with the book is that it finished a little quickly because I was enjoying it so much that I wasn’t ready to let West and Jeremy go yet and I wanted more of them. Perhaps an epilogue with them remarrying would have been nice.
This was an hartwarming, sexy read that I highly recommend and I will be looking for more by these two authors.
I was given an ARC copy of this book to review and this is my honest opinion.
