Bobby is the hottest player in the NFL, an infamous playboy known for breaking hearts… And Savanna’s pretend love interest for the next year.
Savanna
When a star quarterback asks me to be his fake fiancée, the rules are simple: no strings attached and no catching feelings.
But I’m forced to get to know the man behind the rumors and learn there’s more to Bobby than perfect abs, a square jaw and azure blue eyes.
I’m in over my head, and have to remember it’s just a fake relationship and I’m only his PR strategy.
Bobby
Focus, football, and one other F-word rule my life. The last one got me into trouble, so I hire a total dime to parade in front of the media.
But when she moves in with me, the line of what's real and fake blurs, and our forced proximity drives me absolutely crazy.
We agreed to be together for one year, but I might just be in love with the girl.
If you enjoy Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward’s alpha heroes and enjoy heartfelt stories from Corrine Michaels, then PERFECT PLAYER is your next addicting read.

The perfect Player is book two in The Game Changer series by Olivia Peters.
This story is a crazy ride on an emotional but also funny and sweet, fake relationship, forced proximity, and sports romance rollercoaster. Bobby is a family man who will do anything they need from him. He is also a quarterback and a player, but he is hiding the sweetest personality. Even before realizing he loved Savanna, he transformed into the best boyfriend she could imagine. Poor Savanna has been treated horribly by her family. Those scars (and Bobby's player image) make it hard for her to believe in Bobby's love for her. I loved how Savanna cared for Bobby and took care of him, not because she had to but because she wanted to. This couple has great chemistry, they had a special click from the start. Theo often frustrated me because if they just would have communicated and been honest about their feelings, things would have been a lot easier for them. The steam gets built from the start, the scenes are sexy and descriptive.
I loved having an update from Cade and Felicity and their role in the book.
Thoroughly build characters that feel real, a storyline that is well-written and gave me all the feels. I loved Cade and Felicity's story but adored Savanna and Bobby.
Perfect Player is the ideal book for contemporary romance lovers but especially for readers who love reformed player/forced proximity/fake relationship/sports romance.
I received an ARC from the author but am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
Perfect Player is a fake relationship crossed with sports romance story that has you gripped from start to finish. The banter between Bobby and Savanna makes for an entertaining read. However at times these two can be quite frustrating. Their story is an emotional roller coaster that has a little angst, tension and a few twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. There is also passion, heat and steam to give you an all round beautifully told love story with a guaranteed happy ending.
I was first introduced to Bobby in book one, Perfect Alpha. I could not wait to know more about him and thus I was excited when I saw his story was next. This book did not disappoint. In fact, I have to say that it is probably the spiciest book I have read by Olivia. I am here for it. After reading this book, I needed a "cold shower".
Savanna and Bobby were definitely heating up the pages of this book for sure. I could not get enough of these two. Bobby did change from playboy to dedicated boyfriend. Yet, one thing he did not change and that is his sense of humor. When it came to Savanna; I could see a little bit of myself in her. In the way she went from timid to a confident woman. If you are looking for your next "perfect" book to read, then you need not look any further than Perfect Player by Olivia Peters!
I found this story quite entertaining. I really like Savanna and Bobby (though it took a little bit). They had such great chemistry together and were quite sweet together. To be honest, I did want to shake them sometimes as they are both stubborn and dealing with past and present feelings. There was a twist in the story that I didn’t expect, but really added to the overall story.
I received a free advanced reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest review.
I devoured this wonderful and well written book by Olivia. This is book 2 in this wonderful and irresistible series. We got a glimpse of Savanna and Bobby in book 1 and you could feel the chemistry between them and their story didn’t disappoint. Savanna has a sad history and with not many friends decides to take Bobby up on his offer but can she stay strong and not get her heart broken? Bobby has it all but has never had a relationship so with the 2 of them navigating a forced relationship there are plenty of bump along the road plus many sweet ones too. Olivia once again held me captivated with her writing and I was cheering them on and yes even through their frustrating times. I am loving this series and I can’t wait to read Gavin’s story because we all love a sexy cowboy! I received this book as an arc for my honest opinion.
Bobby Henderson is a star NFL player who is in some trouble with his sponsors because he's getting mentioned on scandal sites too much, and he needs to clean up his image. Someone suggests he should get a girlfriend, and a mutual friend suggest that he should hire Savanna to be his fake girlfriend. Savanna and Bobby have previously had a one-night-stand and she is reluctant because she doesn't think Bobby will ever settle down and foresees a huge heartbreak in her future. However, he is persuasive and offers her too much money to refuse. She has a disabled sister in Ireland and a strained relationship with her parents who blame her for something that wasn't her fault, and she wants to contribute to her sister's care financially. The fake relationship turns into a halfway real relationship as they occasionally have sex but she always seems to regret it later and pulls away from him to protect herself. Bobby doesn't know what to think about her mixed messages. When he has an accident and breaks both his arms he needs her as a daily caregiver.
I liked the characters and the writing style, but the story started to drag a little towards the end when everyone else thinks they're in love but except these two who just can't get the words out. They went through several cycles from the distancing to the sexual intimacy and back, and I thought some of that was a bit superfluous. Steam level: If not having sex they're thinking about it.
If you’re looking for an intense, angsty, fake relationship romance with serious steam, you’re looking for Perfect Player by Olivia Peters. This book had me swearing at the characters one minute and refilling my ice water while turning the fan up higher the next. Peters takes her characters and her readers on a tense emotional rollercoaster, leaving everyone involved waiting for the next twist and turn, anxious and on edge the entire way. There were moments during this read that I had to remind myself that Peters never leaves her audience, or her characters without an HEA, but those characters are going to work really freaking hard to get there. I love the strength and vulnerability both Savanna and Bobby finally gave into, all the while fighting themselves, each other, and multiple external forces. Peters does a beautiful job of incorporating supporting characters into the narrative, too. I feel so invested in this series and these characters, and I cannot wait to see who Peters brings into Gavin’s life next.
I really didn't like Cade who wasn't a Perfect Alpha at all, but I loved Victory. In that book, twins Bobby and Gavin were introduced as Cade's best friends, with Savanna also appearing as Victory's closest friend in New York. Star quarterback Bobby had two loves - his sport and his family and their farm. Women were for one night and no more, not even Savanna in the first book though she did make an impression. He needs to improve his image so a plot for a fake fiancée is hatched and Savanna agrees to play the part, against her better judgment. Bobby and Savanna are so good together in public that everyone is fooled, and in private they fit together almost seamlessly too, but hearts and emotions don't understand the pretending part nor do they toe the fake partners' line. Savanna knows Bobby will discard her and crush her heart completely, while Bobby doesn't know how to open up and let any woman in and didn't think he ever want to learn. I loved Bobby much more than I expected to because he wasn't anywhere near as bad as he had been painted by the media, and he'd never lead anyone on or hurt them. He was so insecure when it came to Savanna and his unexpected feelings for her, not knowing what to do or what to say having no prior experience of being in a relationship. Savanna did a number on him with her hot and cold attitude after sex and I fully understood why he felt the need to protect himself. Savanna had her issues with her family and an ex-boyfriend and had no self-esteem, not the best frame of mind to be in when you're fake-dating the megastar quarterback with the body of a Greek God. She was trying to protect her heart, even though it was too late from the moment she first met him, and I understand her reactions after intimacy but she was giving off so many mixed messages that it's no wonder Bobby didn't know if he was coming or going (excuse the unintentional pun). She did drive me nuts at times but they were both at fault for not having the courage to confess their true feelings, but if they'd done that, the book would have been much shorter and pretty pointless! I loved both of them together and individually. Their family and friends provided great support throughout, especially Gavin whose book is next, and they enriched the story. It was a long book but ultimately very enjoyable and I loved reading it. Now I can't wait to see how Gavin gets his HEA.
This unconventional contemporary romance story embraces intriguing tropes with forced proximity, a fake relationship, and a sports romance. The book itself has wonderfully relatable characters and an addicting story that you won’t be able to put down. The author did an excellent job giving you all the feels as the characters navigate life and this unexpected romance. I love how sweet, swoony and steamy this story is. Bobby and Savanna are the perfect characters as a couple and as individuals. This was a fabulous read with big gestures and many misunderstandings but a happy ending. This book has a teaser for the next book in this series, and l can’t wait to read it.
The blurb of this book looks absolutely intriguing. I can’t wait to read about Savanna and Bobby. Bobby is a player in more ways than one; he is an NFL quarter and loves the women. We met him in the last book Perfect Alpha. He is a twin brother to Gavin. In conversations w ever a bit of extension on Victory and Cade, which is really nice to connect the books. Bobby lives his life loud, and the media isn’t loving his hyped-up live life expressed in the tabloids. Gavin and Bobby are also cattle ranchers in their hometown in Montana. Gavin and Bobby have that extra twin connection that makes this even better. Bobby stands to lose even his career if he doesn’t shape his social life.
Savanna is a friend of Victory’s. She works at a dojo as a receptionist and marketing guru and bartender at a local sports bar. She lives in New York City and is originally from Ireland. She is totally still pining for Bobby eve after a one-night stand.
Victory gets a hair-brained idea to help him and, of course, plans it all out. However, she forgot to ask Savanna first. Will she agree to this nonsense and not be crushed when it ends?
Obviously, she agrees with this insane idea. But her past love life definitely has painful memories for her. I love that she is family-oriented and wants to help her parents and sister back home in Ireland. This book gets steamy as these two can’t resist the explosive attraction to each other. Bobby really surprised me with his doting, swoony sweetness toward his girl. He always will leave you gasping as he pulls out a grand gesture, but then he kinda messes up big. The relationship is turbulent in this book as it is fake one second, and the next, it feels genuine. Things are a bit of a mess for them as she leaves Montana to go to Ireland.
I didn’t expect that bomb to drop when she arrived home. This book is very up and down in their fake and not-so-fake relationship, and he really does mess up a lot. You will find yourself in tears with the characters and smiling and laughing with them as well. I love that he does big gestures and swoony words when he finally stops being hard-hearted. The miscommunication is heartbreaking, and yes, some tears were leaking as I was just that involved with the characters. I love the steamy scenes and emotions this couple portrays in the story. I’m so excited for the happy ending and can’t wait to read more from this author.
Bobby is a popular quarterback in the NFL, but he is also a blatant heart-breaking womanizer. When a well-known sponsor gets upset at the image Bobby is presenting and threatens to drop him, his friend Victory suggests he should get a fake girlfriend, or even better get a fiancée, to tone down the rumors. She suggests Savanna because Savanna’s sister lives in Ireland and is sick, so she regularly sends money home to help her. But there is never enough. So this situation will be good not only for Bobby but for Savanna as well. He asks Savanna to play the part of the fake fiancée and move in with him for one year. The rules are straightforward: no strings on the romance and no developing feelings. It’s strictly a PR performance. But getting to know the real man makes it difficult for Savanna to remember their relationship is not real. Will she be able to leave the relationship with her heart intact? Or have both of them ended up falling in love for real?
Bobby and Savanna are good together. They have many misunderstandings to go through. But perhaps the bumps in the road will make the relationship even stronger. At the end of their commitment, what will they decide to do? Could a HEA still be salvaged for them?
What a crazy, wild ride this book is! It's not your typical fake relationship trope. Bobby is the star quarterback, he's cocky but in the most sweet way. He's a family man, will do whatever it takes for his twin and family back in Montana. He does what he needs to do to play at top level and if that means getting his rocks off he does it. But when a huge sponsorship wants to drop him if he doesn't clean up his image Bobby's BFF Victory suggests a fake girlfriend and has the perfect friend to help him out. Savanna reluctantly agrees to help her family out with her sisters medical bills. She had a hard time getting Bobby out of her mind when they had hooked up previously. Bobby never been in a relationship has no idea what to do and never realized that having Savanna around would benefit him with more than his image. They have a hard time seeing what's fake and what's real. It takes them a lot to figure out that there what they both need.
I LOVE Bobby and Savanna together!! This is a fake relationship, forced proximity book and I loved it. Bobby is a big time player and an NFL quarterback star who needs to clean up his image. Savanna is a single gal from Ireland trying her best to make it in the States. She sends money to her ungrateful family in Ireland and needs more money for them. So this situation will be a win-win for both of them, right?? They definitely have some obstacles to overcome and their story is beautifully told. I LOVE this author! I’ve read a few of her books and have loved all of them! I can’t wait for her next book! This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. I’m certain that you’ll enjoy it as much as I have!
Don’t miss this hot, feel-good read! Perfect Player by Olivia Peters was as close to a perfect read as any novel I have read. The story centers around an NFL quarterback at the top of his professional career who has done so much partying and womanizing that his agent warns him he has just lost a multi-million dollar endorsement because of his behavior off the field. He cleans up his act by finding a fake girlfriend who can help reform his bad boy imagine making him look grounded and stable, and, of course the woman chosen was a perfect 20 on a scale of 1-10! This story had it all, off the charts chemistry, hot, hot scenes, emotional complications when the fake changed to something very real and important, wonderful characters, a plot with enough twists to keep reading, and on and on. Don’t miss this hot, feel-good read!
This book was an awesome set of extreme emotions. Bobby and Savanna are on fire as a couple but then I quickly wanted to throat punch both of them. Then you keep reading and you're right back to man this couple is off the charts HOT! Hot and steamy just barely touch the surface. I felt so bad for Savanna and her family life but loved Bobby and Savanna's HEA.
This is the first book by Olivia Peters I have read and let's just say I will be devouring her books from now on. I absolutely loved this very steamy, fake marriage romance, it is so full of angst, alpha males, dirty talk, lots of steaminess, football and so so much more! The pull that Bobby (hero) and Savanna (heroine) have to reach other can be felt through the pages and you want nothing more than for these two to figure their stuff out so they can turn their fake relationship into the real one they both want.
Bobby is the typical cocky alpha male who loves to dirty talk, have lots of sexy time, is super outgoing, plays football, is super close to his family and runs a ranch with his twin brother. Whereas Savanna is an Irish expat who hasn't found her place in the world yet, she works random jobs, isn't close to her family except she wants nothing more than to provide for her disabled sister and sends as much money home every month to help support her and her parents, she has one close friend, has some self esteem issues but is as sweet as can be and wants to make those around her happy. When Savanna & Bobby make an arrangement for her to be his fake fiancee they both quickly find themselves growing closer to the other and wanting more than what they planned but neither wants to be the one to open up and express how they are really feeling. It is obvious to everyone around them that they are in love but they are convinced they are just good actors.
After we follow Bobby and Savanna around some of the US and Ireland we learn so much more about these two and why they are the way they are. The storyline is truly fantastic and this book is one that you will want to read non-stop. I loved Perfect Player, it is a really great sports romance with a not to be missed HEA ending and I highly recommend to all, you must love dirty talk and descriptive sexy times but I can honestly tell you it is so worth the read! I can't wait to read Bobby"s twins book next, he is such a sweetheart, has had his heart broken and I can't wait to see who mends it back together.
Perfect Player by Olivia Peters is such a sweet and steamy read and ohhh so frustrating. This book will draw you into their fake relationship and make you want to knock some sense into them and just yell ‘please just communicate with each other’. Great book with so many feels. Don’t miss this one!
This book was literally impossible to put down. I have never read such infuriating characters. I want to reach into the book and shake them. Their back and forth was intense and had me dying to read more. Their energy was electric and has me on the edge of my seat. This books plot is perfect and flowed so well.
Awesome!! Fabulous characters, love this series. What happens when you fall in love with your fake boyfriend, read through these pages to find out. you will love this world that has been created.
YASSS!! This book was insanely good. Bobby and Savanna are brought together for the sole purpose of restoring his professional image. The story is all consuming and written so well. I cannot wait to read more of this series.
I have been in a funk here lately so I have been jumping back and forth between books BUT this book had me hooked! Bobby doesn't believe in love and marriage and all that jazz but when his football career is in jeopardy he asks a one night stand to be his fake fiance. Savanna is smitten with Bobby, after all he is the hottest quarterback she has ever seen, so when he asks her to fake a relationship of course she wants to jump right in. She could really use the money to help her parents, but she knows right off that she won't be able to NOT catch feelings. The spark between them is undeniable and once Bobby gets his head out of his rear he comes to terms that he has fallen for someone. This book is a must read!!
Once again Olivia Peters delivers an amazingly written book. You dive into this book and can’t leave until you’re done. Fake relationship meets forced proximity meets sports romance and you have one hell of a story.
Bobby is a professional football player trying to save his image. He hires Savanna to be his girlfriend for a year. Savanna welcomed the new tile to get away from her family but went in hesitantly. Can they keep their “relationship” strictly professional? Or will emotions come to the surface after she realizes he’s not the player she thought he was?
So much banter between these two and it was perfect. The heat was on point, a little angst and humor will leave you flipping the pages so fast wanting more.
I received this arc and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
This is the second book in the Game Changer series and it is a very good fake relationship/Sports Romance! I was so excited to find that Bobby got his own book and with Savanna too!! Their chemistry is so good and they're perfect together! Once they work through their struggles, they make each other better. This is so good! I love the characters and the story line was written well. I was hooked from page 1 until the end. I thought it definitely had heat and angst! I can't wait to get Gavin's book! I definitely recommend!!
Bobby and Savanna are both have engaging personalities and are friendly and outgoing but they both have their insecurities. I was never clear why Bobby was so afraid to say that he was in love with Savanna as he had a happy home life and no horrible past girlfriends to break his trust. I understood Savanna’s reasons for being so hot / cold with Bobby and her insecurities based on the way her parents and high school boyfriend treated her. However, I got a big annoyed with her acting like their relationship issues were Bobby’s fault and testing him without telling him it was a relationship test. Luckily, they kept moving forward and finally Bobby took the leap to try and climb over her walls and then she decided to get therapy.
I received a free copy of this book via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Bobby is a professional football player that has been in too many scandals. Its starting to cause problems with his sponsors. So his management team decide he needs to look like he has settled down and bring Savanna in to be the woman he is to be serious and settled down with. Savanna isn't sure she wants to do this because she has a history with Bobby but she needs the money so she goes along with the plans. Its not long before things turned very real between them. Will they see this as a second chance to be together? Will their plan be exposed?
This is a good story about two people thrown together by unusual circumstances but fall in love anyways. This is a well written and very entertaining story.
This unconventional contemporary romance story embraces intriguing tropes with forced proximity, a fake relationship, and a sports romance. This is where Savannah comes into play. He asks Savanna to play the part of the fake fiancée and move in with him for one year. Savanna and Bobby were definitely heating up the pages of this book for sure. I could not get enough of these two.
I cannot say enough about Bobby and Savanna! I love them! The book is written so well and the story is beautiful. I kept thinking I knew what was going to happen, but they beat to their own drum. I loved watching them come out of their comfort zones. They were wonderfully frustrating. It was definitely worth the read.
Book 2 is about Bobby. He is a player but when he and Savanna get together we see a different side of him. He was the opposite and Savanna changed in her own way as well. It was really good, a good storyline, chemistry and heat. Olivia has yet to disappoint me with any of the books I have read from her. An enjoyable read.
I received this Advanced Reader Copy and my honest review is voluntary.
This book. This. Book. I absolutely loved Savannah and Bobby's story. It has ALL the feels,ALL the angst and ALL the heat. I devoured this book in one sitting as I was that invested!!!! Love love loved it!!!
Bobby sure loves the women, but now he needs to change his image to one of security so he can keep his sponsors. Savanna is just the woman to help him. What a story of two people needing help and getting something more in the process. Wonderful characters. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
A fake relationship is started to help out Bobby's career. Savannah is in the U.S. from Ireland. She's helping her family and this fake relationship deal will really help. There are some unexpected twists too.
