She saw his picture—his smile, the rugged line of his jaw, the way the man could fill out a suit, and like an idiot, she fell a bit in love with him.
Idiot because no one ever really looked like their profile pic. Idiot also because if the man did look like his profile pic then he certainly wasn’t going to be into a science geek who binged old Sci-Fi shows on the regular, and whose longest relationship was with her golden retriever named Fred.
But in a night of drunken insanity, she swiped right on the picture she’d been drooling over for months.
Then in a morning of hangover unpleasantness, she saw that he’d swiped right, too.
And suddenly, she found herself on a date with the man of her dreams.
The only question was whether or not he lived up to them.

This is one Tinder date that was worth all the trouble :)
Ben and Stef both have hang-ups especially Stef and her wall are drawn pretty high. But when she meets Ben due to his persistence she finally decided it was time to see what lies behind those walls. Ben is patient and thoughtful but almost ruins everything because he wasn't so over his past as he thought he was.
Together with their four legged "kids" and friends, they manage to find a middle way and repair all the cracks in their armor and continue their path on the HEA they both deserve.
every now and then i read a book about ppl that met on dating apps, and i think: maybe i should go on a dating app, who knows maybe I'll find someone. but then i remember my life is not a book.
enough about me, the characters met online, but the heroine gets scared and answers him 3 months later, from there is a fast romance.
An accidental swipe on Tinder has Stef and Ben connecting. But Stef is beyond hesitant to meet him and it takes more than a minute before they actually connect. Once they meet, they're hooked. But she's got walls sky high and he's got a past that has him not looking for love, nor is he trusting. Will that distrust lead to a complete severing of the beautiful relationship they had formed? Will Stef ever forgive him for the horrible way he treated her?
I loved this installment of the Billionaire's Club. Both Stef and Ben are sweethearts and I loved how easy they were together. Well, that is, until near the end when Ben lost his mind and Stef had to step away from him for her own sake. But she proved then why I loved her character - she had grown a lot by then and was strong enough to realize her worth, and she was worth more than to stick around and be distrusted and berated by someone she thought loved her and knew her better than that. Ben though, also proved why I liked him so much, too, when he went about redeeming himself in a very sweet, soul-baring way. Altogether, this is a sweet, sexy installment of the Billionaire's Club, reiterating why this billionaire series is one of the best ones I've had the pleasure to read.
5 star Review Bad Swipe (Billionaire’s Club #12) by Elise Faber
From the first chapter to the last I was engrossed on the story that Ms. Faber wove. This is Stef and Ben’s story and it was an entertaining read. It was a great addition to the Billionaire Club series.
Stef doesn’t have much luck with love and so she turns to Tinder in hopes of finally finding her match. Whilst Ben is too busy building his empire to look for love. When his assistant signs him up for Tinder, he finds himself matched with Stef.
There attraction between them is immediate however Stef has seconds thoughts and skips out on meeting him. Fast forward a few months and she drunk texts him. Ben is worried for her so he offers to pick her up and so begins a relationship that neither saw coming.
I loved this story, it was heart warming, romantic and fun; a pleasure to read and is a little gem.
I thought this book was a delightful blend of cuteness, fun, sweetness and heart. Stef and Ben's story is endearing but keeps its feet firmly planted in reality. Does it give you the romantic fantasy you're looking for? It sure does but in a way that is believable and relatable. Ben and Stef were very likable and I loved the major feels and swoon I got from this couple. This is my candid, volitional review.
The heart comes out and the heat takes hold. Bad Swipe is that perfect blend of sassy and ironic that sticks in your craw and makes you want to smile. Ben and Stef give romance a spit shine as only Elise Faber can.
Step really hasn't been super lucky in the love department, but she decides to take a chance with Tinder where she finds tech billionaire hottie Ben. But when Ben asks her out to coffee Step all but freezes up and stands the poor guy up. After her ex all but said she is the reason no guy wants her, Step can't understand what a guy like Ben would want with her.
••
Ben has been busy building his empire so much so that he has neglected his personal life, so when his assistant signs him up for a dating site he decides to throw caution to the wind and give it a go, it also doesn't hurt that he finds himself captivated by Steps picture. Fast forward three months after their failed coffee date and Ben finds himself of the recieving end of a drunk call from Step, determined that its not safe for her to take a cab home Ben goes to pick her up. The question is will the second time round be the charm for these two?
••
This was such a cute read! I have been loving Fabers books for a while now and have to say Swipe Right was one of the cutest yet! This book hit the nail on the head with how realistic and relatable both characters were and frankly what dating in the modern world is shaping out to be.
••
I absolutely loved Ben, he was all in. He took Step for who she was, insecurities and all. He never once tried to change her, all he did was try to show her was that she was perfect. As for Step, as much as I liked her, I just found that she put herself down a bit to much. Everyone kept telling her that she was great but she let the words of one guy mess up her mind in a big way. Nevertheless I loved watching these two finally come together and learning to trust each other.
••
Bad Swipe was a cute modern day romance that had relatable characters and two cute little pups! This is definitely a book I would recommend reading!
It took me so long to read this book in part cuz surgery. I hadn't been reading much [at all] since before then - but :P I started reading it literally in the waiting area at the hospital prior to my surgery; in a few stages - but then it got to the sexy bits and I was like "😅 this is awkward..." so I picked up Vespertine
ANYWAY.
I really liked Stef and Ben. I liked that it wasn't smooth sailing - that it took them "months" but then it was FAST - and that EF "tricked" me. I would definitely re-read this book.
I actually really liked the dark moment too - and the ~grovel; and her friend [I think it was Heidi?] giving her the wake up call?
I will say :X While I appreciate EF writing more Black characters - the thing is ... argh. It's hard to say - just that like ... :X they ... might as well be white? Obviously I'm not looking for like ... angst porn or suchlike - but it's just ... when there's ...little to no culture, experience, just ... it's hard to explain - but ... compare/contrast this to a number of other romances written by Black authors - and I'm 99% sure EF isn't Black so ... ugh it's hard to describe. But the thing is just ... the characters/aspect ... it's ... empty? I'm sure I'm not saying this right.
But anyway - everyman Ben - [who isn't at all and I LOVED that he's this rich hot guy NOW but was a supernerd and is STILL as such] ... and the dogs <3
So yeah - that was more just ... a thought - the above.
After a pretty horrible break up, Stef is pretty gun shy to enter the dating pool again. But seeing all of her friends happily coupled off, and has a few too many drinks on girls night, she finds herself swiping right on one of the most handsome men she's laid eyes on.
Ben, not even knowing he assistant has added the dating app and profile to his phone, is stunned when he see's the swipe from Stef - ad he's immediately draw in my her. And once they finally meet - he knows that she's something special.
Having been burned so badly before, its hard for Stef to let him in, but Ben is persistent, loving - completely committed to taking care of her in absolutely any way that he can, and Stef eventually has to give up the fight and realize this man is everything he's promising her he is.
But the shadows of his past come racing to the forefront, and may tear them apart for good.
I really enjoyed Bad Swipe. Ben is definitely one of the good ones - and watching him slowly win over the gun shy Stef, and do everything he can to protect her and convince her he's all in is absolutely endearing. I loved this one - and the opportunity to revisit so many past couples in the Billionaire's Club book. Don't miss out!
This was a cute story about Ben and Stef finding their way together. Both are extremely successful and busy individuals who don’t have a lot of time for dating. When they both swipe on each other, they start talking and she gets scared with how fast things are moving so she doesn’t respond. Neither forgets the other and when she contacts him again, and admits why she didn’t respond to him, he thinks it is due to the color of his skin.
They both had issues to deal with from their previous relationships, but made the other better. Her backstory was quite traumatic and I understood why she reacted/acted the way she did. But, the repetitive overreactions got to be irritating after awhile. He also had a hard childhood, a horrible ex and had to work hard to get where he was. I loved how supportive and sweet he was with Stef, and even though I understood why he reacted the way he did towards the end of the book, I was a little disappointed.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and love the entire series. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next installment. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
Don’t drink and swipe. Otherwise you might swipe on the hottest guy you’ve ever seen and have morning-after regrets along with your morning hangover, like Stef. Don’t let your assistant/longtime friend have access to your phone. Or you might end up with an app like tinder downloaded without your knowledge, and get swiped before you realize it’s there, like Ben. Ben and Stef are a wonderful addition to the Bad Billionaire’s couples cast. They’re both nerdy, and wary because of the hang ups they’ve been left with following their past relationships. A drunken tender match evolves into something of a meet cute when Stef ghosts and only reaches back out on the next friends night out when she gets drunk enough to find her courage, and Ben proves how good a guy he is when he comes to her rescue. Once they meet face-to-face, the chemistry is explosive and they click on so many levels that it’s hard to separate them. But Ben’s been burned before, because of his success, and Stef was so badly burned last time that she’s convinced that no relationship lasts. So how can even their great relationship last until they’re both ready to let go of the past and look to the future together? I definitely recommend Bad Swipe, along with the whole series; which consists of interconnected stand-alones that’ll hook you fast until it’s hard not to devour each one in one sitting and eagerly come back for the next installment!
Bad Swipe In this modern era more and more people are taking a chance and finding love on websites or apps! Stef has been unlucky in love in that no one has ever stuck around. Her ex even went so far to as to convince her that she was the reason he and others left her! She decides to join Tinder. Ben is a tech billionaire who hasn’t taken the time for himself to find someone to love. So his assistant sets up a Tinder account for him. When Stef is matched with Ben she is surprised because she thinks he’s the sexiest man she’s ever seen!!!And when Ben see her picture he is mesmerized so he messages her and she replies. He suggests they meet for coffee and she ghosts him. Three months later Stef drunk messages him and Ben is so thrilled he rushed out in the middle of the night to give her a ride home so she doesn’t have to take an Uber drunk because he thinks it’s unsafe! So their relationship begins and grows! A wonderful love story about dating and meeting your soulmate in this era of tech. Five Stars!
I love this series and I love seeing every new heroine we encounter find her HEA. This is Stef's story and it was oh so sweet! Stef hasn't had the greatest luck in love. Neither has Ben, as we eventually learn. These two swipe right on Tinder and form a match. But when Ben asks Stef for coffee she freaks out, thinking she's not good enough. I dislike when people think that. We are all worthy, we just need to find our people. Months later, a drunken message and it's like that freak out never happened. Though Stef still keeps one foot in and one foot out. That is where I loved Ben the most. He took all of Stef's insecurities and squashed them. He was perfect in that way. Stef I liked but I hated how she didn't think she was lovable. Everyone (but idiot Jeremy) kept showing her she was, she just refused to see it and that made me sad. And of course I can forget Fred and Sweetheart. Those two pups stole the show! These two deserved their HEA and I'm glad they got it!
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review*
This is a sexy and sweet story of two people who meet through a dating app. They both have trust issues and have had bad break ups. Stef works in lab doesn’t know if people really like her due to her past . She feels that she is unlovable. She has her dog but in a drunken night she swiped right on star sexiest mans she has ever seen profile. Then when he asks her out she ghosts him . Ben does not have time for love life after his last messy one and his past. But his Vp /friend wants him to have a life so she set the app on his phone. He see Stef and is attracted to her curves and red lips . But she does not respond to his message for months and when she does she drunk . He goes to save her. Then steam begins. These two have crazy great chemistry and seem to connect they have been together for months. She tames his mean dog. They share sexy times and none. There is drama with her ex and some other. This is a great story that is full of steamy passionate moment and sweet ones. With a HEA. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Another book in the Billionaire series is a winner. Stef is coming off a bad break up and has some esteem issues when she mistakenly swipes Ben's Tinder profile. Even after a brief exchange they are both captivated by each other but Stef is hesitant to meet Ben for coffee. Fast forward three months when a slightly drunk Stef reaches out to Ben through text and the ball is now in motion. These two are nice, kind people that have their own baggage they bring into the relationship yet the both cautiously jump in with both feet. Although I liked the "realness" of Ben and Stef's relationship and hesitations, I did get to the point when I wanted to shake Stef and tell her to SNAP OUT OF IT! Ben was always patient and understanding with Stef but when they did run into a snag his behavior seemed a little extreme until we learned more about his past. All in all, this was a sweet story of two very nice people who deserve every bit of happiness that they got. :-)
Stef's friends set her up on Tinder and one drunken night she goes scrolling.. Liquid courage has her swiping right on the post gorgeous man she has ever seen. When he swipes back she freaks out a little bit. While out with her friends she ends up calling Ben and telling him she has been waiting for a ride home for a while so he goes and gets her. Sweet, caring Ben she knows this man will not want more than a night or so with her, after all no one sticks around for her anyway
Ben couldn't believe the gorgeous woman on his Tinder, that he too was setup on. As he got to know Stef he wanted more and more but she kept pushing away or backing off. Once he realized her fear he promised he would always be there. As she breaks down her walls and her past comes back to haunt her will Ben keep his promise?
Another good story by Elise in this series. Side note - Sweetheart and Fred steal the show
Stef has made some questionable choices when it comes to the men in her life so she figures that the results from a match on a dating app couldn’t be any worse. When she finds out her match is Ben she is intrigued as she is very attracted to him but when it was time for them to meet, she lets her self-doubts emerge and didn’t follow through.
Ben is a successful businessman whose personal relationships have come a distant second to his career. When he is matched with Stef he is very attracted to her and wishes that she had shown up to see what they could have together so when she contacts him a few months later he doesn’t hesitate to come to her rescue and that is when the fun really begins.
There is no denying the chemistry between them, but their pasts are having an effect on the present. I enjoyed the evolution of Stef’s character as with the support of Ben she became the woman she was destined to be.
Stef McKay has felt abandoned and let down by everyone in her life, so her expectations of people are low. Ben Bradford is the closet nerd wonder of Hunt Inc. who never takes time for himself. When his assistant downloads a dating app on his phone and signs him up, he is excited to see that this beautiful woman with sexy red lips has swiped right on him, so he swiped right too. But now panic has set in and Stef ghosts Ben, until, three months later she messages him in a drunken haze. Ben shows Stef how she deserves to be treated, rocks her world in the bedroom, charms her friends and makes her fall in love with him. When Ben's company suffers a hack, he immediately assumes that it is Stef and throws her out of his apartment and out of his life. When the truth comes to light, Ben has to try to win Stef back after his egregious error.
Bad Swipe, book twelve in the Billionaire’s Club series follows CEO of Hunt Inc Ben Bradford and scientist Stef McKay. Ben has been working himself to the bone, so when his assistant decides that he needs to take some time for himself, she sets up a Tinder profile for her boss with the hopes that it will find him a match and help him settle down more. Stef has been having a hard time finding love after her recent break-up, so she decides to add a Tinder profile and finds herself swiping on a handsome man. The attraction is instant between the pair, and after chickening out on their first meeting, Stef send him a drunken message a few months later, and they eventually get to meet. As they begin to spend time together, a relationship slowly begins to develop between the pair. But will both of their past issues stop them from forming a new life together?
The heroine is 35, is self depreciating and thinks everyone will leave her that I expected she'd had MULTIPLE people do it to her. Turns out one boyfriend in her 30s broke her and took all their friends. He'd only been with her 2 years. So not lifelong bf or friends lol her constant inner voice whining makes zero sense . I can see having trouble trusting again, but the rest, wow lol
The hero then accuses the heroine of betraying him saying she was the ONLY one that could have but turns out there were multiple people who could have, one other that actually did it, he just CHOSE her as the guilty one. So while the heroine forgave him, I don't. He didn't even go to her until he had proof.
this author is horrible with the inner voices and whining or flop flopping. I'm basically just going thru the motions to finish the series.
It starts off with a Tinder swipe, goes to a one night stand, and then to love and healing. I loved how we got to know the characters before spicy times happened. But once they happened they were amazing! It went with the story nicely. And oh the emotions!!!! The heartstrings that were pulled, for both of their stories, was just amazing. Very relatable and really helps you connect to the characters.
This is not the first book in the series but it can be a complete stand alone. You will recognize the heroine from past books, but everything you need to know about her will be told to you. It does end on a HEA. We also get a glimpse of what the next book in the series will be about, and it looks amazing!!! Once you read this book, you will want to read the entire series!
This is the 12th book in this awesome series and is Ben and Stef’s story. Ben is so focused in building his business up that he has no time for anything else, and his assistant signs him up for a dating app. Stef has no luck with men and in desperation signs herself up on the dating app, and she is paired with Ben. Once they arrange to meet Stef begins to second guess her decision and she ghosts him, then 3-months later Stef drunkenly contacts Ben, who is caring and concerned, and goes to pick her up to ensure she gets home safely. This is a well written story which is heartwarming, fun, sweet, endearing, romantic, and with love, which all lead to an entertaining and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
A very enjoyable story about two characters who have each experienced tremendous emotional hurts and loss. Both Ben and Stef have a lot of emotional baggage to deal with before they can truly have a relationship. Each of them make an effort and make tremendous progress, but a sizable misunderstanding and leap to a false conclusion almost derails them. Thankfully several apologies and groveling occurs so a HEA is possible.
This was the first book I’ve read in this series; however I am a big fan of Elise’s work. Even though this is book 12 in the series I was able to enjoy this book with minimal confusion or spoilers because even though couples from previous books make appearances in this book at the friend gatherings their involvement is limited to a few conversations with Stef and later Ben.
I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Bad Swipe (Billionaire’s Club #12) by Elise Faber is one take on apps and swipe to a match purely by mistake. Stef hasn't had the greatest success in romance and is coming off a bad breakup. So she's, we some help of the liquid type, swipes right onto Ben, our Billionaire’s profile. He immediately swipes back and away the story goes. We find out Ben hasn't had the greatest success in romance either. The chemistry, heat, feels, attraction, banter makes this a great addition to the Billionaire’s Club series. There's several sweet things that make this book worth diving into and investing in. I don't want to give any spoilers away. Ben and Stef's stories really had my heart invested in their HEA. Loved the ending!
Stef got out of a bad relationship. Feels she is unlucky in love and that everyone leaves so she spends her time working and one night a week dinner with her friends. Her friend sets her up on a dating app and one night after having a few too many drinks she sees Ben's profile and thinks he is really sexy and drunk texts him. Ben, a tech billionaire, has been in a bad relationship and has trust issues, so now just works on building his business until his friend/assistant sets him up on a dating app. He sees Stef's picture and is so smitten that when she drunk texts him he goes to help her. Can they learn to trust each other and will they find love?
Bad Swipe is an enjoyable story with relatable characters that had me engaged right from the start. Stef and Ben have both struggled with relationships and when a drunken swipe on the app puts them in each others sights, all bets are off. Ben is relentless in his pursuit of Stef and has pushed her life in the right direction, towards a relationship with him. He has broken down her walls and in return she has finally found her special someone. I loved that their relationship had its ups and downs. Mostly ups but Stef and Ben are people, each with a past and their own baggage that weighs them down. They have each make mistakes, but in the end, love wins.
Bad Swipe is a cute addition to the Billionaire's Club series. I loved this one. Ben is sweet and wonderful. Stef is just a breathe of fresh air yet closed off when it comes to relationships in a way. You get why Stef is the way she is once you get to know her. You cannot forget Fred and Sweetheart because once you meet them you will smile a little more. I love how easy Stef and Ben come together. Everything just flows with this one. You feel the instant connection from the very start. I could not get enough of this. once click this one.
Stef hasn’t had the best of luck when it comes to love so she decides to take a chance and on Tinder. Ben has trust issues and never takes time for himself. His assistant signs him up on Tinder. They both like what they see, they swipe right, and form a match. When Ben asks Stef out for coffee she stands him up. Three months later Step texts Ben while she is drunk, he’s concerned about her and goes to pick her up so she gets home safely. I adored Ben he was such a sweetheart. This is a wonderful addition to the Billionaire's Club series and one I enjoyed immensely.
Stef has had an unhappy childhood, her brother, the apple of her parents eyes, commoiitted suicide, she feels guilty that she couldn't stop him, she feels that her parents blame her and her ex is a jerk. Ben started a very successful company but is sad that his parents can't see what he's made of himself. He's not too good with women, he's better at business. Stef is a science nerd. Can they get together when Stef has such low self esteem and Ben has a low self image.
I absolutely loved this story! Stef and Ben meet on a dating app. Having been hurt in the past, Stef is not sure she can trust him, but Ben is going to show her she can trust him. I love stories that have dogs in them! Fred and Sweetheart were precious! I loved how they fell for each other. Bad Swipe a well written story with fantastic characters ( both human and animals)! I loved how with Ben’s support Stef became the best woman she could be. I love all the Billionaire’s Club series and Bad Swipe is a fantastic addition! I can’t wait for the next book!
