I think Callie and Donny have just become my favourite couple throughout this entire saga.
Donny loves Callie with all he has but he worries that his past and the demons from it are pulling her and their relationship down and he considers leaving her for her own good.. Are they strong enough to get through this and fight Donny’s demons together?
Ms Hardt has a profound way of painting a picture in my mind with her amazing words, they consume me beyond belief, and have me craving more for days, weeks and even months to come. Helen delivers an outstanding, all-consuming and addictive plot that had me hooked from page one. It was emotionally charged and the world building and character development was perfection.

Once again Ms. Hardt brings all the mystery, suspense, and intrigue that has been expected from this mesmerising series, she never ceases to amaze me. The past has come back to haunt Donny and Callie, but the haunting is happening in two such different ways. For Callie it was an act of foolishness, and for Donny it was a torturous experience being remembered. The past has a way of catching up and it's coming fast.

There is attraction and chemistry between Callie and Donny, for him there is even love. However, he fears for Callie, and doesn't want to drag her into his family's never-ending problems. Helen has done it again Blaze is everything that we've grown to expect from the Magnificent mind of Helen Hardt.
Donny and Callie have so many things from their pasts coming up and resurfacing. Trying to destroy their present and their future.
They struggle separately trying to deal with everything on their own. Loving each other so much that they don't want to be a burden on the other. When they finally realize they're stronger together and together they can face and conquer anyting, everything starts to fall into place. They can start seeing a small glimpse of the light at the end of the tunnel, until as we expect from the great Helen Hardt, the plot thickens and twists. Your heart starts pounding, your emotions run wild, you feel everything the characters are feeling. They're anxious, scared, confused but most of all their love.
Standing Strong together they can walk out of this tunnel of darkness and despair that they're in and come out the other side stronger.
One of my favorite lines in this amazing story is .... "Spark turns to flame and flame turns to blaze. Blaze turns to ashes— ashes from which we must attempt to rise again."
Helen always has the amazing gift to bring meaning to our own lives and to make us see so much truth behind her words. Fiction can make our reality better and brighter. Helen does that with every single one of her books, she gives us uplifting messages that can help us in our reality.

So there's a lot of thoughts I have on this series as a whole. Personally, I feel it is no longer about the Steel Brothers. It should have gone off into a sub series when it started dealing with the children of the Steel Family.
Secondly, how much shit does this family have to go through to figure out answers. I get the drama aspect, draws readers in. Trust me, I will also continue to read the series to figure out the answers and because I've put so much time into the series already. This is definitely a family that can't seem to catch a break.
Thirdly, about this book specifically, I feel that it was rushed in the last bit of this book. It was good, a lot of repetition. I know that this author repeats a lot, but at the end of the 3 books for this specific couple, I felt more was uncovered/happened in the last 50 pages of the book than it did in the other 2.5 books.
Like I said, I will continue to read the series. But I wonder every book "what more could possibly happen to this family?"

First off I would of gave it more than 5 stars if I could of because it’s that good. But just when you think you are getting to a moment of answers Helen does it again the cliff hanger but I love her for it because it has me wanting more and now the waiting starts. I love that Donny figures out that Calie is his one and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Helen you have done it again I have loved all of your books in this series and can’t wait for the next one.

I always feel like the one word titles fit perfectly to the story and I wouldn't be surprised if that was fully intentional. Blaze finished Callie and Donny's story with a bang and it'll be interesting to see them through other character's perspectives. There was so much drama and I have so many questions about what's going to happen. I enjoyed the various conversations and important things Callie and Donny brought into their relationship. This one also had a really interesting balance of the spice and romance and mystery. I couldn't put it down and I will literally champion any couple Helen writes for this series.

Book 21 in the Steel Brothers Saga and stillllll too many questions and unknowns. The hits keep coming for the Steels and now the Pikes and two intelligent lawyers have put their hearts and minds together to dig up any information they can to solve the mysteries circulating and threatening to destroy. Donny Steel and Callie Pike are a force and they will not stop until they know who, what, and why.
I continue to love Donny and Callie together. They are my favorite couple since Ryan and Ruby. Donny is the smooth, charming, intelligent, go getter lawyer who is now finding out his family may have more secrets than he ever imagined. He wants to protect his loved ones and get justice and vengeance for his father and the best man Talon Steel. I do too! I love Donny's relationship with his family and bod they interact and come together. And that now includes Callie.
Callie is definitely one of my favorite heroines in this series to date. I love how understanding and supportive she is. I love how she loves Donny and wants to be by his side through thick and thin. I love her relationship with her sister Rory and how they too come together to try and solve and stop the hateful and sneaky Pat Lamone. We still don't know why he is back and what he has up his sleeve and that is kind of annoying at this point. Callie and Donny stick together and try their hardest to be positive and still work on their new relationship but things keep getting in their way. But their new beginning was still special and I am happy with the way their forever is going if not a bit predictable.
Little tiny pieces are coming together but nothing has been revealed which was disappointing. I thought there would be some big revilations in this third Callie and Donny book. Left with a cliffhanger which is usual gr Helen Hardt. I have mixed feelings about book 21 but I still love the series and am excited for the next couple because that is clear and obvious in the way things evolved.
My rating 3.5ish but rounding to 4.

The ring in the safety deposit box, the smell of decay at the property he, Dale, and Brock visit… everything seems to be leading somewhere bad. Callie’s presence in his life becomes his touchstone… what he needs to keep himself sane. But Callie has issues in her own life. The missing key, finding the pictures, and the return of someone from high school who could damage her and her sister.
With everything happening,will Callie and Donny’s relationship survive? I don’t think I have ever been so invested in a series before. The Steel Brothers Saga spans years of publications and generations in the series itself. Blaze is book twenty one in that series, and boy is it a winner.
Donny Steel is a man with a past, but one he tries to not let taint his future. He is more lighthearted and easy going than most of the guys I've read in the Steel series, and that was a welcome reward. There is so much to this book, and even more to the series, Donny, tries as he might, can’t get the ring out of his head. There is something else going on, and until he figures it out, moving on is going to have to wait. Callie has her own problems, her own past to deal with, but Donny is important to her enough to try again. Now with a new threat to her and her sister Callie is even more determined to solve the mystery and bring herself some happiness with Donny.
I can’t even describe how interesting and exciting this series is. Every time I finish one book, I look forward to the next one even more. The plot is so amazing, the characters are so intriguing, and the spicy bits will definitely keep a reader awake at night. LOL. The Steel family is all drama, all the time, but the people are just crazy enough to make me come back for more. There is always another clue, another mystery to solve, it’s addicting to read. Way to go HH for another great release!

Callie and Donny both have secrets that they each feel will destroy their relationship.
Donny's love for Callie is so strong, that he doesn't want to burden her with his families secrets, that are proving to be very problematic at every turn. Thank goodness that Callie knows that love is stronger when two hearts beat as one.
Callie felt she must open up to Donny about her secrets. Tell him about her humiliating and degrading secrets. Callie and Rory done something they thought was over with. Buried! Gone! Done! Until 10 years later, everything slowly starts to resurface. Callie and Rory feel their lives are hanging in the air. But after opening up, she knows that with the love and support she gets from Donny, she can persevere.
Helen wrote a magnificent story. Blaze was hot from page one. Then there was those damn twists and turns she throws in there, to keep you on the edge of you seat, and guessing as to what will happen next. I Love It!!!

Helen wrote a magnificent story. Blaze was hot from page one. Then there was those damn twists and turns she throws in there, to keep you on the edge of you seat, and guessing as to what will happen next. I Love It!!!

Blaze is full of mystery! Sometimes we feel like the thing in the dark are too much to handle or we feel like if it comes out it will destroy us. But the real question is will it? Donny Steel as a lot learn about his family. Even more so he is learning a lot about himself. Donny is a man in love with the women of his dreams and he is truly happy about it. Donny has had to face many challenges that has led him to where he is now in his life. He is not sure if he needs to leave the love of his life are keep her so that he can be happy. Donny knows that no matter what his life would be that much harder without Callie as she brings a light to his life. But Callie has been holding back on all of us with her own demons and she feels like she could loss the love of her life if he finds out. But will the secrets that they have been keeping from each other be enough to hold them together? You will have to read it to find out. I love the Steel’s so much for the love that they have for each other. What I love move is we still get to live out the lives of his family throughout each of these books instead of just hearing about the current personal live. I love how she able to tie them all into one.

So here we have the continuation of Donnie and Callie's story. At this point in their journey is the realisation that their pasts are entwined and what is happening in the present has a basis in this past.
Callie and Donnie's relationship is growing, yet there is the fear that their pasts will come between them and push the other away. So they both do some pushing away to avoid heart break in the future. As they realise that they can't really live without the other, they learn to open up and be honest with the other.
The mystery around the Steel family continues, especially with the discoveries in this instalment. The mystery surrounding Callie and her sister are brought to the forefront here. To deal with everything that is thrown at them, they both need to be strong and resilient characters, which they are. As a couple they compliment each other and support each other, even when they don't have the full picture.
I am intrigued to see where the Steel family mystery is going to take me and what else I still have to learn about the family. After everything we have learnt so far, it has to be explosive. I am also really enjoying finding out more about this generation of Steel's whilst still connecting with old favourites.

Good God! How does Helen do this every single time?!!? TALK ABOUT AN EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER!!!!! Like every emotion, you can feel this book is going to make you feel! This is the final book in Donny and Callie's set and holy all things good! She finds new ways to bring us to our knees in this series and still leaves us begging for more going WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?!?! There are still so many questions to be answered but this book is a nonstop page-turner and you are going to love it I swear! You MUST read this series in complete order to understand everything! If you do not you truly will get confused. I can not possibly wait for the next book to hopefully get more answers! I do not feel a lot was left unanswered in this book but I'll never stop craving the steel brothers! Donny went through so much trauma like his brother dale when they were kids, and despite them not being talon and Jade's biological kids and them rescuing them from the same horror talon went through they never saw them anything other than their kids. Donny hides his past very well but now it's coming back more and more to the surface despite him fighting it. He needs to face it to deal with it.

😲 — What just happened?! Wow!! Totally mind blowing!! This books takes us back into Donnys past when he was a boy in a series of flashbacks throughout the book. They are heart wrenching and hard to read. It just breaks my heart to think that horrors like that exist in the world and these scenes are raw emotion guaranteed to rip your heart out abs leave you a sobbing mess. Pair that with the adult drama going on in his life, because let’s face it, he’s a Steel and that alone brings family drama — and you have a storyline that grips a hold of you and just doesn’t let go the whole way through! Then there’s the love story aspect of the book. Donny & Callie have only been actually dating for a short time in the book, but have known each other since they were kids. So as adults, they fall for each other hard and fast. Put that all together and you have an amazing book that you just can’t put down. As with many of the Steel Brothers Saga, I have just read another book that will stay with me for a long time!!

Oh My God....I can't wait til the next book comes out!! Callie is determined to explain to Donny what happened years ago during and after high school Homecoming. Donny doesn't care, but Callie wants to explain....explain why a guy from high school suddenly returns and is spreading rumors about Callie and her sister, explain what happened at the bonfire after homecoming, explain how they tried to rectify what happened....
Things are never what they seems and Donny is struggling with his own questions...who took out a safe deposit box in his name, who does the contents of the box belong to and why would someone do it in the first place. Still on his mind is who would try to kill his dad...or was it just a warning. Then comes a bigger question...and he feels it...like a shadow floating on the back of his neck...giving him chills....he feels his past rising...and returning.
Loved...loved..loved it...I am so blown away....I got chills when I finished the book. Gah!!! So many questions!!! A must read! Can't wait for Smolder!

Helen is a master of greatness. This is an amazing book.
Donny and Callie are trying to figure out the reason the past is coming back to haunt both of them. Pat Lamone is back in town and causing some trouble. Callie tells Donny all about her past and what happened 10 years ago. Donny doesn't want to bring Callie into his messed up life and he thinks he should let her go.
Donny still is dealing with his past. Donny and his brother, Dale, have been dealing with their abduction for several years. They both had different coping mechanisms on how to deal with everything.
Donny also has to be the acting city attorney while his mom, Jade, is with his father, Talon, at the hospital while Talon recovers from being shot recently on the ranch. While being the city attorney, him and Callie start researching what was in their pasts.
This is such an amazing story. I really can't wait for the next one to come out.

This is the twenty first book in the Steel Brothers Saga and it is one page turning read, that must be read to feel the full effect of the author’s words. It is not a standalone and the books should be read in order from the beginning. We all do foolish things when we are young and it seems as if they are coming back to haunt Callie and Donny. Each one is harboring secrets and the time has come to spill the beans and let the chips fall where they may. Ms. Heart has done an outstanding job with this storyline. From the first page, you are sucked into what is a quagmire of twists and turns seeking answers to some interesting happenstance. Is their love strong enough to keep them together? Will they be able to find the answers they seek? This is one book that you will not be able to put down until the last word. Each book in the series just keeps getting better and better and will leave you salivating for more. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series.

It never fails, I start reading one of the Steel books and I can’t put it down. The one thing I never like about any of Helen Hardt’s books with the Steel series is I have to wait for the next one.
Donny is bound to have to “deal” with what has happened to him in the past, but there are so many balls in the air per say I see that some of them are bound to make him waver back to his past and get hurt. (Kind of like a Ryan incident with the car all over.)
Callie is the girl Nextdoor…. Literally it seems. She is really perfect for Donny but it seems her past is also came up for her deal with.
While I enjoyed reading their story and I can’t wait for the next… can I add I really do NOT like the Brittany chick? Like seriously, the little role that she had in this book makes me want to throat punch her. I sure Callie feels the same way too!

Three steps forward, two steps back. Callie and Donny are both being overwhelmed with their past catching up to them. Donny is so in love with Callie, but he wonders if he should just walk away from what they have so she is not dragged down into his family troubles.
They both know that someone is out there scheming and trying to cause havoc for the Steel family. Callie is wondering if somehow there is a connection between their individual problems. They both love each other passionately and completely. I am hoping they can stand together to take everything that is being thrown at them. As always, Helen has us at the end of our rope and filled with anticipation to see what happens next.

In true Hardt style, this book keeps the suspense rolling. The love scenes are hot, hot, hot. Of course, there is a cliffhanger as well.
Hardt has mastered the skill of keeping the reader intrigued without giving away too much. There are several points in this book that I cannot wait to see the resolution to.
As always, I highly recommend you read this series in order or you may become confused or know too much about a couple before you read their story.

Can your past intertwine with your soul mates? Callie and Donny are about to find out. Callie is a woman with a past that has come back to haunt her and try to ruin her dreams with her soul mate. Donny is a man we all now that has a past and as a steel the past always comes back to bite them in the ass. Can Donny and Callie over come the past and make their lives become perfect, at least as perfect as they can be? Can the past ruin everything that they’ve ever known? Blaze is the story to start to answer these questions. I’m looking very forward to reading smolder and finding out my own answers to these questions.
