I just finished reading this and it was a great conclusion to Miranda and Lachlan's story! Starting off where the first book left, it really wrapped it all up. Lachlan really got all his ducks in a row on this one and Miranda put work in on her blossoming career. I really liked that they kind of found their footing and just put work in. Lachlan is still burdened with some deep family issues that are just super cringey. The only light in that kind of darkness is the revelation of his nephew and the hope of creating a good home and family for him. My heart went out to Lachlan's mom when she met her grandson, especially after the pain of losing her other son. This book really dealt with a lot of drama and conflict and pain. Occasionally it felt like an overload but looking at the bigger picture and connecting all the dots you see how Lachlan's family issues go so far back that it just wrecked havoc on his world and it simultaneously damaged Miranda and Lachlan's relationship. I was so sad to see Lachlan being made to jump through these impossible hoops when all he wanted to do was be an honest man and love Miranda. I really enjoyed watching Miranda and Lachlan overcome all the obstacles thrown at them. They had a great support team in the form of close friends and family who were really steering them in the right direction.

I really enjoyed this book and I really enjoyed Miranda and Lachlan. They had really great chemistry, they had great spicey scenes and their conflicts really made them stronger and better people. My only wish, it's the same wish that I have with any great couple I read about, is that I wish I could get a glimpse of where they would be in a few years. I'm hoping to catch this glimpse in the next book, which I'm really looking forward to reading. This was a great book, a nice escape and I'd definitely recommend to fellow romance readers.

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

Well

Well that wasn't how I expected the story to go, Brittany got what was coming, and it wasn't Lachlan thankfully,
