Tombstone

My entire life, I’d never believed in second chances. They’re bullshit if you ask me. Then again, maybe I wrote them off as crap because I didn’t think I deserve one.

I lost my wife a long time ago. All in all, I failed her. She was mine to protect and I couldn’t even do that right.

Over time I got used to being on my own. Better yet, it was easier. I didn’t need anyone in my life. Hell, it was safer to be on my own. No one else would get hurt this way.

Then I saw her. Sure, I shrugged her off at first, but she didn’t give up on me. As much as I pushed her away, she kept finding ways to tell me I was worth of love. But as things heated up between us, danger came knocking on my door, and then I couldn’t find her.

I didn’t know where she was, but I need to get to her fast.

Again I read a book that should be read in order as a standalone.. so it felt very confusing, I didn't have some necessary background on the characters, that were in book one.. and I felt weird abou a MC with Tombstone as a name (same thing happened whe I read Graveyard).

This story is fast-paced, drama filled and will take you on an emotional roller-coaster ride with twists and turns to let you dizzy enough for weeks, everyone was so intense but Iloved it!! Sutton and Tombstone were great and they felt like missing puzzle pieces in each other's lifes.

However, there were a lot of loose ends that I assume will be tied up on another book, but I won't probably read the whole series so I'll never knoq what happens lol

Tombstone is getting a second chance at happiness with Sutton but her past is horrible. She has a stepbrother getting out of jail and don’t get me started on her POS mother. Tombstone doesn’t realize what he has in Sutton until she is taken away. He will do anything and everything to get her back but once she is back can he keep her safe?

Tombstone and Sutton

We finally find out what happened with Sutton but also Tombstones past. I couldn't put the book down once I started.

I loved Sutton and Tombstone together, they had a rough start. But once Tombstone gives in, they make it work. They have the past to deal with.

I can't wait for more.

This is the second installment in the Satan's Keepers MC storyline. Once again we have the crossing over with E. C. Land's other MC clubs. We got to see Tombstone and Sutton in Keeping Reaper. There was a gap between these 2 books and it picks up close to the end of Keeping Reaper.

Tombstone and Sutton have hooked up but Tombstone is only interested in casual and so far Sutton has been ok with that. When Sutton is taken Tombstone finds out that she's gone he knows that he has to get her back and make her his.

Tombstone will help Sutton get back on her feet and show her just how much he wants her to be his. Sutton has had a rough past and this might push her over the edge if it wasn't for Ivy Tombstone may have lost her forever. Now he has to work harder to heal her inside and out.

Sutton's tormentor is returning and threatening to take her from Tombstone. The club plans to end the threat but before they get a chance Sutton is taken again. Tombstone blames himself for failing those he loves again.

If Tombstone can save Sutton she is going to get more than just Tombstone forever she might get a family she never knew about.

Happy Reading.

Wanted to like this one but not a fan of tombstone's! This poor woman has some major ptsd \trauma and he's yelling and throwing items! Bails on her, knowing she's still mentally fragile. I'm sorry but with the recurring abuse, she should never just let his treatment of her go. At least not that quickly or easily.

4 1/2 ⭐️!

This is the second story in the Satan’s Keepers MC series. I personally DO NOT consider this to be a stand-alone read, as there are multiple reoccurring characters, concurrent/consecutive timelines and overarching themes. There are also references to details that cannot be adequately recapped within another story.

I really wish there were a few more details, but I have absolutely loved this series so far. Maybe it is because of the poorly written series I tried reading prior to this one, but I have really enjoyed how well written these have been so far. There were just some incorrect punctuation, incorrect word tenses and a few typos, but nothing difficult to interpret.

I just want a detailed reading list for E.C. Land’s stories, as this is the first series that I believe I have read by her. The problem is I really want to read the stories of characters that crossover from a previous story, but can’t seem to locate which story they could have originated.

⛔️ SERIES contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges with anxiety, depression, PTSD, suicide, etc.; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, spanking for pleasure and punishment, restraints, sensory deprivation, voyeurism, exhibitionism, etc.; violence such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, threats, subterfuge, money laundering, gun running, cheating, prostitution, human trafficking, mafia / cartels, arson, drug use, drug addiction, drug manufacturing, drug distribution, as well as the mental, physical and sexual abuse of females and/or women in the children, etc.

Forever Tombstone (Satan's Keepers MC #2) by E.C. Land

So excited that we get a better insight into Tombstone's character. His story is intense, raw and full of emotion and passion. Tombstone is still haunted by the death of his wife and the decision he made in giving custody of his daughter to his sister . His club and brothers are his life as Tombstone vowed to never get involved with another woman until he has an encounter with Sutton. Their time together is hidden from others as Sutton is okay with just hooking up even though she keeps telling Tombstone he is worthy of having love in his life. Soon danger strikes when Sutton is taken, now Tombstone mans up and informs his club that she is his and he will do all he can to get her back. Once she is saved, Tombstone does every thing he can to help her heal even asking his daughter to talk to her as she herself knows what Sutton is going through. With all of Sutton's secrets from her rough past, can she overcome her trauma or will this push her over the edge? Once she reveals her past to Tombstone, he vows to help her anyway he can as he assures her that he wants her in his life forever. Now these two will enter a relationship that is raw, overwhelming and steamy. But can he convince this broken woman that she is worthy of his love? When Sutton's captor returns and wants to take her from Tombstone, he along with his club plan to end this threat but find they are not in time as she is taken once again. So many twists and turns in this story as Tombstone blames himself for not protecting another love one, will he lose her forever? Once saved Sutton finds she will be reunited with a family she never knew about, one that she has always wanted as she is surrounded by Tombstone's love. This story will pull you in with the intense ride or die storyline as well as the bond of family and loyalty between these badass bikers of the Satan's Keepers MC who are violent dealing with their enemies, and overprotective of the women who come into their lives ! Can't wait for the next book in this series, thank you E.C. Land for bringing these characters to life!!!!

Really good, but 100 pages is way too short to fit all that in.

There’s just too much happening in 100 pages. Bad guys, romance between them, then Ivy has her own chapter, and Tombstone’s daughter Bethany, has her own chapter. It’s too much. I did really enjoy it but I really wish it had been longer.

Sutton has had a terrible life. Her mum didn’t seem to want her, her stepbrother was obsessed with her, then Tombstone just wants a causal relationship. So she struggles mentally with everything. Sadly as it’s so short, the author doesn’t have time to explain what happened to her, as a child. So I just had to guess what happened to her, and yes, it totally ruined it.

When Tombstone finally decides he wants her, not just for a hook up, he’s really sweet to her. As he tries to romance her, and make her feel special. I hate to hark on about this, but because it’s so short the sex scenes are crammed in. Poor Sutton didn’t have any foreplay.

If this book had been at least another 100 pages, it would have been really good.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Forever Tombstone starts right where Keeping Reaper Ends. It is book 2 in the Satan's Keepers MC series by E.C. Land. The guys in this club are violent and have no problem killing but finding their love has them going into full protective mode. Tombstone has has a lot of loss in his life. So much so he has closed off the thought of every falling in love. Sutton, best friend of Ivy has her issues as well.

When Sutton is taken Tombstone realizes how he feels about her and claims her. Tombstone can be so tender with Sutton yet so vicious with his enemy. Sutton and Tombstone together are perfect for each other.

Forever Tombstone is a quick read and makes more sense if you read book 1. I love getting to know the men and women on this group. Of course they have ties to other groups in E.C. Land's series, she knows how to keep us drawn in.

Finally we find out more about Tombstone. I feel like I’ve been waiting forever. With the death of his wife and the subsequent loss of his daughter giving custody to his sister, Tombstone vows never to get involved with another woman. But he never expected to cross path’s with Sutton. They started out as a casual hook up, but that’s not how they ended up. Can Tombstone rise from the ashes and regain happiness in his life. Will Sutton be a lie to overcome her past? Or will her past come back to rip her from Tombstones embrace? This is an Amazing story that will have you on the verge of tears, or in need of a stiff drink.

This takes off where Keeping Reaper ended, however, you do not need to read it first as they are all standalone. It just gives you more knowledge of the characters. Tombstone and Sutton's story is filled with Feels. E.C. Took me on an emotional ride with this one. Both Sutton and Tombstone have had a sad and emotional past and you find out more about them here. In true E.C. fashion, she snacks you in the face with the twists and makes you jaw drop and eyes pop out. I am absolutely loving these men. They are all alpha and make sure the women that grab them are safe and protected. They will stop at nothing for them and their brothers. They have each other’s backs and always will. I can’t wait for more of this MC.

Forever Tombstone

This sophomore story is a terrific follow up to Keeping Reaper. This book centers on Sutton and Tombstone. They started out as friends with benefits, but after she was rescued (book 1), Tombstone takes Sutton to his house to recover. Feeling defeated and defiled, Sutton does something drastic. It forces Tombstone to admit his feelings run deeper than he expected. He was determined to help Sutton heal and to make her his. There is spicy scenes as well as angsty ones. There is a looming threat that the Satan's Keepers motorcycle club is observing to keep Sutton safe. But when the bad guy is determined, he slips through their fingers. It is best to read this series in the correct order.

I really liked Tombstone and Sutton. First, Tombstone is the usual guy who's not interested in a "relationship", although he didn't mind fooling around with Sutton on a casual basis. Of course she's the type of female who assures him that's fine with her when really she's wants the whole package. Of course when she's in danger he's right there, ready to rescue and claim. I really like how she got into therapy to deal with her trauma and didn't just blow it off like the magic P@^#$ can cure all ills. Good HEA.

This is the heartbreaking story of Tombstone and Sutton and the challenges they face on their own and together. Trigger warning - there is self harm in this book. Tombstone has lost it all, his wife and daughter, and vows to never be put in a situation where he could lose again. Sutton has her own issues and has closed herself off to others. They start as a casual hook-up but when Sutton is in danger, Tombstone realizes that he doesn't want to lose her. This is a fast paced book with a lot of action, some steam and a ton of heartbreak. One of my favorites in the series.

I am never disappointed when I read a story written by E.C. Land. Sutton's story and background is both engaging and heartbreaking at the same time. The people wanting to do her harm are members of her own family, but Tombstone takes it upon himself to protect and keep her safe. Not only is he keeping her safe, but as they grow closer, he claims her. An emotional story with drama, danger, and romance, readers will fall in love with these two as as they fall in love with each other. **I was gifted "Forever Tombstone", the 2nd book in the Satan's Keepers MC series via Booksprout, leaving my review based on my reading.** 5 Stars!

Roller-coaster ride for your emotions

Forever Tombstone is the second book in the Satan's Keepers MC series. This story is fast-paced, drama and danger filled and will take you on an emotional roller-coaster ride with the steepest drops and twists and turns to let you hang in the air not knowing which way you are going next. Be warned as this story does have potential triggers. The characters are intense and their past experiences will hit you in the solar-plexus. But together they end up find redemption, healing, understanding and love in each other.

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

From the first moment Tombstone laid eyes on Sutton, he was interested; she was spunky - he loved her fire.

She's had a rough upbringing, her mother remarried and her stepbrother is a nasty piece of work, currently sitting in jail - but soon he'll be out. Sutton can't handle seeing him again, he thinks he owns her, and she'll do anything to get away from him - which when Tombstone finds out, he will do anything to protect her, anything; he's had his share of sadness throughout his life, he thinks they can be good together, they are, and eventually bring lots of love to each other - they deserve it.

DNF @40%. The book starts off with Sutton kidnapped by a rival MC, and Tombstone and his friends save her. He decides after they've casually slept together a few times, he's claiming her. After she's saved, she has a mental break, and she tries to kill herself. After coming back from the hospital, Tombstone decides doors are a privilege and has taken them down until she earns it back. Is she a child? She can't see her friends because HE thinks it's not good for her and then basically just ignores her. She's completely isolated. But calls his daughter over whom she's never met to talk to her. Besides sleeping together a few times, they have had NO relationship before this.

Ok I know I said book 1 was fast but if we are going through all of these members and Ivy’s friends, then I sort of get it. But I’m only giving it 4 stars due to the shortness.
What I’m curious to know is why have they not taken out the rival MC yet? It’s clear both Ivy and Sutton’s crazy mothers are apart of it. I’m interested in Isabelle’s story next! It’s getting very interesting and crazy how they’re all tied together with the same rival MC.
I am happy Sutton found her dad though, I just hate what her mother has put her through.

Tombstone lived his life in regret, regret he failed to protect his wife and kept himself alone because of it, until Sutton saw something within Tombstone and wanted to prove he is worthy of love again, no matter how many times he pushed her away she came back. When trouble arises Sutton is taken, can Tombstone stop history repeating itself? Well written fast paced, engaging, heart melting action packed and more! A great addition to the series!

Loved Dave aka Tombstone and Sutton. This was absorbing and interesting. I liked Sutton as a character and I could empathize with her as far as her feelings went. Nice twist there at the end. I can not wait to see what is going to happen next with the Satan's Keepers MC! The more I get to know these characters the more I am loving them. This was a great 2nd book. Looking forward to more from you in the near future!

Loved reading Tombstone’s book by EC Land. Sutton and Tombstone are always meant to be together and even though they are both broken and damaged individuals they understand each other and the tragedies they have both endured. They certainly have a journey to achieve their HEA but that only makes them stronger as a couple and gives us insight into their relationship. Lots of drama and twists and turns with plenty of steamy scenes make this book a must read. Can’t wait for the next book in this series.

E C Land always writes the best MC novels and with the Satan's Keeper we are in for a wild ride This is the second book in the series and pick up straight where Keeping Reaper ends This is the story of Tombstone he is a dark and dangerous member of the MC who doesn't believe on love or second chances The only problem is like all of these dark men when he falls he falls hard and when Sutton the woman he has fallen for is taken the blood will run thick as he does whatever he needs to get her back. be prepared for a wild ride

Excellent

You first meet Sutton in Reaper's book. But Tombstone kept her at arms length and wouldn't let himself get close to her. Now that she was kidnapped, he regretted it. When he gets her back, He wasn't wasting anymore time making her his. When you have been through as much torment and pain as Sutton, you just want it all to go away. Luckily for Sutton, she has Ivy as her friend. Ivy basically saved her life. She spends months going through therapy and comes out healthier. There is also some shocking revelations too.

I'm torn on this review because the story could have been really good, but it took too long to get there. When it did, I didn't feel pulled in. The beginning contained too much information about the secondary characters and how they were all involved. As it progressed, Tombstone was always pushing Sutton away and Sutton was caught up in her own history. I liked them as characters, but I didn't feel their connection to each other. And finally, the drama with her stepbrother was never developed and was over too quickly. I am a fan of the author, but this one was not for me.

Awesome!

Ooooooh….Sutton and Tombstone’s story is awesome. This tale falls into the EC Land larger MC universe. I love all of these connected stories. Be forewarned- this book is classic EC Land - there are triggers and parts are dark so if that isn’t your thing, try a different genre or author. I, personally, loved it - great storyline, MC violence and drama, Alphamale, sweet leading lady, NSFW scenes and the MC version of a HEA. I’m really looking forward to the next one that is teased at the end.

See my review for book one its kinda a rinse and repeat for book 2. MC lite, fast and done. You get hea, drama, murder, abuse but fast and over in these reads. Stories overlap and continue with each finding hea only after suffering to get there! I am continuing on bc holy shoot do I need to see both Sutton and Ivys 's moms ( in name only they are definitely not mothers!) Get theres! Oh how I hope its slow and painful and 20 x's what they've put those girls through! Free with K.U.✌ 2.5 stars

Tombstone is getting a second chance at being happy with Sutton. Sutton has her own back story and it's not a good one, not from something she has done, but her sick family. So while they are trying to make a go of it her past comes back to haunt her. Things aren't going to be pretty. Plenty of action, suspense and surprises. HEA.
