All That I Have Is Yours: 100 Meditations with St. Pope Kyrillos VI on the Spiritual Life

Rate this book
All That I Have Is Yours is a book of daily spiritual meditations that beautifully interweaves together 100 stories of encounters with St. Pope Kyrillos VI, along with 100 unique and penetrating meditations on the spiritual life. Each chapter begins with a verse from the Psalms following the daily order and structure of the Coptic Orthodox Book of Hours (Agpeya). Hence, the readings begin with prayer and guide the reader to a greater appreciation and use of the Psalter. The predominant theme of these stories and spiritual meditations is the love of God; the creative, redemptive, and salvific love of God which draws us into a privileged divine filiation with our Heavenly Father and Who says to us, “Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.” (Luke 15:31). Fr. Kyrillos Ibrahim currently serves as a priest at St. Paul American Coptic Orthodox Church in Orange County, California. He holds an M.A. in Theology from Holy Apostles College and Seminary. In February 2007, he was one of the first second-generation youths to be ordained to the priesthood by His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion to serve in the Diocese of Los Angeles. Fr. Kyrillos is also on the faculty of St. Athanasius and St. Cyril Coptic Orthodox Theological School (ACTS) teaching courses in dogmatics, patristics, and spiritual theology.

This book is truly amazing. In it you get to have some little stories about Pope Kyrillos in each of the chapters, but also a beautiful meditation about different subjects. Short chapters, so you can read 1 per day. Each chapter is associated with a verse from the Psalms in the book of hours (Agpeya). The stories and meditations are amazing though and I really recommend

Beautiful daily readings that have increased my admiration of and confidence in the intercessions of Pope Kyrillos.

The book has short chapters, each begins with a psalm verse, then a story of an encounter/ miracle by Pope Kyrillos and ends with a spiritual reflection.

I truly loved how the stories point to the holy character traits of the saint like humility, kindness, meekness, simplicity, deeply trusting in God, having friendship with the saints, compassionate mercy and even sometimes humour!

The spiritual reflections were deep, short and on various topics like faith, the Eucharist, Christian freedom, detachment, suffering and others. They surprised me by presenting new concepts to cliché topics and unforgettable spiritual lessons.

I highly recommend this book to anyone desiring to befriend or learn more about Pope Kyrillos and/or anyone desiring to have a daily short spiritual read.

This was great!! I usually go through books super quickly but when I was given this i had to force myself to read it in its mediate nature. Fr.Kyrillos had the most beautiful mediations with just a variety of topics with very smooth transitions. I love that he doesn’t dwell too much on one thing but has nailed the perfect timing on how long to talk on what. Concise yet through and deep! Great book and story’s of Saint pope Kyrillos that’s I’ve never heard before! It has increased my love for the psalms but also has made me intercede to Saint Pope Kyrillos even more and more.
