Ambitious. Attractive. Adjacent. The proximity of them being neighbors certainly doesn’t help either of their causes. And when one side is ready to pursue their curiosity about the person next door, it quickly becomes clear that anything goes in Building 402… Replacement Angelica Pearson is taking a serious break from dating. At least, she thought she was taking a serious break from dating until she comes face-to-face with the finest man she’s ever seen who also happens to be the new maintenance man in her building. Angie knows what she wants in a man. And outside of his good looks, his natural charm, and his ability to make all of her apartment woes go away, Lawson isn’t that. But that doesn’t mean she can’t get to know him, right? Lawson Hill is completely focused on rebuilding his life now that he’s a free man. That rebuild doesn’t include getting involved with anyone, especially not the bougie girl at his job who always needs something in her apartment fixed. From her high-maintenance appeal alone, he can already tell she’d be nothing but a headache to deal with. But when Angie proves there’s a lot more to her than what meets the eye, Law quickly learns he’ll be doing a lot more than just replacing air filters and light bulbs in Building 402… Displacement He’s her only option. Her best friend. The one she can count on for anything. The one she… might have a little crush on. She’s the last girl he should be checking for. His best friend. The one who desperately needs a place to stay after being displaced by a fire at her own apartment building. The one who’s always had a piece of his heart even if she never knew it. While Monte and Nicole have always both been incredibly respectful of the boundaries within their friendship, there’s something about Building 402 that has a way of shaking the table… Complacent Shayne Reynolds can’t wait to see her husband. With their wedding anniversary only a day away, and his return to town falling within those same twenty-four hours, she has all bases covered when it comes to how they’ll be celebrating. But when things don’t go exactly as planned, and accidents turn into arguments, she can’t help but wonder if the three-year itch has snuck its way into their marriage. While thoughts of becoming too complacent may be looming for Shayne, Danny Reynolds knows his anniversary gift to his wife is bound to shake things up. But when he also finds himself on the receiving end of a huge surprise, it doesn’t take long for the couple to realize it may be time to say goodbye… to Building 402. Loved everything about this collection!!! It was always something going on in building 402. Form page one your glued in and ready for all that’s to come. It is four novellas in one book following four couples. It gives living single vibes, but they all have their own apartments. You have the misunderstood fuckboy and the ambitious girl that shares a paper-thin wall between them. I loved everything about their story!! You have a man trying to start his life over and a woman who is over dating until they both realize they are not at all what they thought about each other. They were super cute. Then theirs best friends to lovers and baby the way they cross that line.... Everyone in the build knew it should have been more but the two of them. Then there is the last couple even though they don’t live in the building they are tied to a few different people who live/work there. This was a heartfelt moment bringing in a family aspect and really just tie everything together.
This is a collection of four hot/funny/flirty/satisfying short reads that I really enjoyed.
All of the characters were lovable. The women were strong, independent, and inspiring and the men were swoony and hot. I loved that we got four different couples with interconnected stories. The chemistry between the characters, wether in friendship or in love was believable and all of the characters were relatable.
I loved the originality of the story and the world-building. All of the stories take place in Building 402 and by the end of the collection, I wanted so bad to be a tenant there.
I listened to the audiobook and Wesleigh Siobhan and Myles Washington did a phenomenal job in embodying the characters and bringing them to life.
There was always some action in Building 402 and I’m here for it! This series made me feel like I lived in the building and I wish I could have been a that building social. LOL
I have this collection on audible. The narrator nearly always gets 5 ⭐️s from me. The characters are funny and the scenes have just the right amount of spice! There really isn’t a plot, but I’m not complaining. My favorite is Law & Angie, but AJ & Eve were a cute start to the collection.
What a love about this book is that it’s really easy to read. I love the characters and they way they interact with each other. I enjoy all Alexandra Warren books.
I really enjoyed these stories. Get to know the different tenants in this building and you’ll enjoy watching each find love and happiness when they least expected it.
