Perfect Balance Makes More Than Great Tea
4.5 stars - The perfect balance of ingredients can make more than just a great cup of tea as these three prove. If you've been following along with The Shields series then you know that Aarav and Sola have been walking a tight rope that's about to snap if something doesn't change... quickly! Some thoughtful suggestions and ideas from their friends and colleagues who are like family take root. Instead of ignoring the thoughts that now crowd Aarav's mind, he FINALLY takes action.
Their first time is so sweet and eye opening as Aarav shares something unexpected. It's also hot and perfect. 💜🎉
Then comes their mission. I like how it played out and how Sola quickly became protective of Cash. There's a spark there but Cash sees - and reacts - quite clearly to the recently forged relationship.
Things develop and get even steamier as Cash becomes part of their equation. 🔥🔥🔥 All of the swords cross and nothing is left unexplored. It was beautiful to see them share themselves with each other in such a raw manner - even when the feelings caused someone to become overwhelmed by it all.
The conclusion to their story is bittersweet and leaves the door open for more as Cash still needs to figure out what is in store for him outside of their trio. We're also left with a cliffhanger for Ruby. Ace and Liam may be in over their heads if they think they can protect her from the predicament she's in. I can't wait to see what happens!!

The connection is real and they have an incredible flight to their next mission...where Sola's intuition, throws the team off their mark. Enter Cash, not who they expected.
Fantastic characters who make their living cleaning up the trash of the world. A family who have chosen each other. I just can't say enough about Jayne and her incredibly amazing storytelling. She brings such emotion into the worlds she creates!

Loved, loved, loved this slow burn, fraught with tension, smart, sexy, sweet, emotional romance! Aarav and Sola are so very perfect for each other, and adding a third to their duo just takes their powerful relationship up about twenty notches.

Jayne Rylon is a master! This 3rd installment in the Shields series, written in the Powertools Universe, explores the dynamic of people in a seemingly impossible situation finding their way through an attraction that won't quit. In this book, which can be read as a standalone (but why would you want to?) three people with childhood trauma find a home, a family, and a forever love with each other, while navigating issues only the Shields can solve.

Plus we get their back stories - wow...there's a reason it took so long to get these guys together & with Cash of all people.
Great Story! Love the growth and uniqueness of each of the characters of this triad. Especially with James' input.
Can't wait for Ruby's story!!! Plus looks like there's at least 6 books so far in this series.

Brazen is truly the story of three lovers, each caught in their own version of insecurity, that need one another in order to grow into the perfect side of the triangle to make their love work. Sola is the type of woman that needs her men to show her that she is the softness and graciousness that they each need in order to complete them. Aarav is the quiet strength and determination that will drive their relationship forward and make sure that they never lose sight of their love, no matter the fights or problems they may face. Cash is the laughter and lightness that the others need in order to deal with the ugliness their jobs show them on a daily basis. Together the three of them are the perfect soulmates for one another. Obviously the passion between all of them is off the Richter scales and there is no denying it from the first second any of them are together, but I loved even more seeing them come to terms with the connection they shared—deeper and richer than simple lust, no matter how steamy that might have been. Always a little bit mean to her readers, Ms. Rylon sets us up for the next book Broken with the last chapter and it looks to be a serious doozy not just in terms of the triad we have been dying for (Ruby, Liam, and Ace—Finally!) but also in the danger and drama they will be facing, and I for one cannot wait. Once again, Jayne strikes gold with her Shields.

So much steam, so much heart, so much emotion! This book had an edge of your seat beginning, a sweltering hot middle, and finished off with an HEA that had all the feels. Throughout it all our MMF grouping learned about themselves while figuring out how to be an ‘us’. While it started off rocky, it was then all hearts and roses and fantasyland times until it wasn’t. Trust that had been built was tested, feelings that were fragile were stretched, and bonds that seemed solid crumbled a bit. They worked through it, in a way that was uniquely them and made them all happy, satisfied, and in love <3. Now, about that ending that set up the next book in the series, can we have that tomorrow please?

Loved it. It is very well written and one HOT read. Sola and Aarav have been dodging each other even know they want each other and then they go on a mission, oh what a mission. Then Cash comes on to the scene can they make another trio in the Shields? It's a must read.

Holy guacamole...talk about some serious twists, turns and triangles filled with all of the feels of an awesome romance between 3 people who never expected what they found when sent on the assignment. Loved this one!!!❤❤❤❤❤

I received an ARC of Brazen and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Jayne Rylon has the best mmf series I have read. There are a lot of steamy scenes however there is a great story as well which is something that is very hard to find with mmf books. I cannot wait for the next book to come out.

Aarav is a sharp shooter for the Shields security team. He's lost all he loved and is hesitant to love again. He's a demisexual who had never been attracted to anyone until Sola.
Sola is a hit woman on the Shields security team, she's a free spirit and bad ass. She knows what she wants and goes for it, but it gets harder being repeatedly rejected by the man she wants most.
Cash Kalykalaos is the son of a billionaire, who lost his mother young. He wants nothing to do with his father and spends most of his time living on his yacht and avoiding the limelight.
Sola and Aarav are best friends and partners on the Shield team. Their love and attraction have been burning bright but Aarav didn't want to risk losing another person he loved until now. He's finally going to make his move as they fly to their next mission, hoping to get their mutual lust out of their systems to focus on their mission.
When Sola's gut tells her they are targeting the wrong man she aborts their mission, and brings him back with her. Heated sparks are flying between this stranger, Sola and Aarav adding complexities to their new relationship.
While the jump from complete stranger to bed time fun was too quick for me, the heat was off the charts and these three had chemistry in spades. Each had suffered loss and found love and a bond with each other.
The Shield family is tight and they do all they can to help Aarav, Sola and Cash find their happily ever after. I enjoyed seeing everyone again, the latest disaster to happen to James' car and the sneak peeks into Ruby, Liam and Ace's upcoming story.

We meet our first two protagonists, Sola & Aarav as they are running off to get on a helicopter. They are operatives who work for Shields, a US based spy agency.
They then board a private jet to find out where they are going & what the job is. They learn their mark is Cash Kalykalaos, our third protagonist.
It has been reported that Cash will be at a ribbon cutting ceremony for his father’s newest casino out on an open balcony. The families casinos all over Europe & the Middle East are supposed front for a massive money laundering business. They clean money for a network arms dealers which also have ties to terrorism & bombings in 30 countries!
Aarav & Sola have been dancing around their feelings for each other for months and everyone at Shields can even see it. On the flight over Aarav finally admits part of the issue is he is a virgin.
When they get to Greece Sola goes into the party while Aarav is on a large rock in the water with his long range rifle. Sola gets a weird feeling by how the father is acting versa how Cash is acting & at the very last second calls off Aarav’s shot. She realizes someone must be after Cash so she rescues him.
When they get back at shields an realize a huge error was made and Sola was right to call it off, Sola & Aarav are tasked with keeping an eye on Cash.
Can they protect Cash? Can Aarav give up his virginity after 30yrs? Can three work out all their past issues and become 1?

She has a way of telling a story that is both exciting, endearing, ties in characters from other books who we all know & love, makes things light hearted…the car…I couldn’t stop laughing for almost 5min, the Hedgehog & the bunny. Then there’s the Intimate Scenes! HOLY HOT LIPTON! Off the charts PHENOMENAL. Jayne Rylon is like a fine wine…she just gets better & better over time

Brazen by Jayne Rylon is the third book in the Powertools: The Shields series, and I have been looking forward to this story and it ABSOLUTELY delivered!
Aarav, Sola, and Cash weave us an engaging and captivating story. After all, how could we not fall in love with their love story, especially the tightrope balance between love and hate, kill and survive, that they have to traverse!
Aarav is utterly delicious! Dedicated, skilled, not very in touch with his emotions, and faced with feelings he doesn't quite know how to process, yet watching him fall in love is priceless.
Sola is such a fierce and feisty woman and I adored her! Intuitive and clever with so much love to give, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing how it all developed.
Cash has a devil-may-care attitude about life, because of his lived experiences, and witnessing him find purpose, find a place he truly belonged, well, it was magnificent!
All in all, this was a HOOT of a read! Chemistry was sizzling and hot! Story was endearing and a fantastic mix of friendship, love, and loyalty, liberally sprinkled with drama, intrigue, and tension! So, if you're looking for some witty banter, meaningful conversation, and intense heat that packs a punch, it's time to Brazen through this story!

Their friendship is something they both treasure yet they both want more and taking that next step has been a difficult one for them both. The mission at hand has all the cards on the table and everyone is seeing clearly. Yet when the target gives you such strong feelings and doubt of what you’re doing sometimes you have to take A step back and look at things for what they are. Cash was the target, not someone that they should’ve cared about or get an instant reaction from. The game is dangerous, once all the facts are no the way it’s played just may be life-changing.
Jayne Rylon combined an emotional journey, a dangerous mission and a love story all in one. Sola and Aarav danced around their chemistry for far too long. They wholeheartedly embraced their passion. Just as they are discovering themselves together, they realized they need something more than they knew. Cash was in a messed situation and two people saw something more inside he didn’t even know he had or wanted or needed. Together Sola, Cash and Aarav worked hard to find that together their world is right as rain and apart it is no way near the same. Brazen is sexy and emotional. There is nothing like a visit in the Powertools world.

Aarav and Sola have some chemistry between the two of them but haven't been able to communicate their feelings to each other. When they are sent on a job they realize that they can have something special together but when the target they are forced to kidnap their target rather than kill him will they be able to come to terms with their feelings for each other as well as their mark?
I really liked Sola and Aarav they were an odd pairing but they seemed to go well together. When Cash joins the duo and they realize that the three of them have some hot chemistry they all have to face their feelings. I really enjoyed learning about everyone's pasts and why they are the way they are. I felt bad about Cash's circumstances but Sola and Aarav manage to help him through. The ending was quite shocking. The sex as in every one of Jayne's books is hot hot hot! I enjoyed seeing the rest of the Shields, Hot Rods, Hot Rides and Powertools crew although there are so many of them we're going to need a family tree soon just to keep them all straight! And there are new characters with every book! Such a great series and I can't wait to keep reading!

This was a quick, fun read that was pretty low on the angst, had a good dose of smexy & heart and a bit of a surprise tossed in there that I definitely didn’t see coming, but definitely kept things real.
I honestly loved Sola, Aarav and Cash. Sola is a feisty and fierce. Aarav is protective and . Cash is an interesting combination of laid back and dominant. All of them have their own demons and they have caused each of them to put up walls, but they also bring them together. Their journey to their HEA does happen quickly, but it worked for me because they were thrown together in a most interesting way. The bump in their road wasn’t unexpected, but the reactions kind of were, but I like how everything worked out for them in the end.
This is a great addition to the series. The surprise in there had me going, “whoa” but it worked considering the situation they were in. I loved catching up and hanging out with the Shields and those they call their own...James will always be a fav and I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.

Jayne Rylon has another winner with her latest addition to her Powertools: The Shields series with Brazen; Sola and Aarav’s story. The previous books had hinted at their mutual attraction and finally their itch is scratched! Aarav has difficulty with relationships, and it wasn’t until Sola came into his life that he knew he has been biding his time, waiting for her.
A highly dangerous mission for The Shield sees Sola saving their target rather than letting Aarav kill them and Cash is then irretrievably drawn into their lives. Cash brings an enormous amount of sexual tension and chemistry to their trio but also brings a lot of family upheaval and danger too.
I have been reading Jayne Rylon’s books for years now and she continues to amaze me at the depth of feelings and immersability into her character’s lives that she is able to achieve. She brings some shades of light into each book as well – this time with poor James’s car and Mr Prickles and Miss Nibbles - that only enhances the reader’s journey.
This is another brilliant book from the Powerhouse that is Jayne Rylon and after reading the epilogue, I can’t wait to read the next story with Ruby, Ace and Liam.
A highly dangerous mission for The Shield sees Sola saving their target rather than letting Aarav kill them and Cash is then irretrievably drawn into their lives. Cash brings an enormous amount of sexual tension and chemistry to their trio but also brings a lot of family upheaval and danger too.
I have been reading Jayne Rylon’s books for years now and she continues to amaze me at the depth of feelings and immersability into her character’s lives that she is able to achieve. She brings some shades of light into each book as well – this time with poor James’s car and Mr Prickles and Miss Nibbles - that only enhances the reader’s journey.
This is another brilliant book from the Powerhouse that is Jayne Rylon and after reading the epilogue, I can’t wait to read the next story with Ruby, Ace and Liam.

Just like all of Jane Rylon’s books, this book was outstanding. All Sola wanted was for Aarav to finally break out of his constant state of work. He avoided her at all cost, although he had such feelings for her. One night on a jet together did the trick. The job, to eliminate a man called Cash. At the last minute Sola called it off. Something did not feel right, caches father appeared more guilty than Cash ever could. After our Aarav and Sola brought Cash back to headquarters they found out the truth and more than that Cash was able to break through to both of them. One night together and the three of them knew they were meant to be. But now they still had a bad guy to go after, and cash’s father could be collateral damage. Could Aarav pull the trigger? would it change everything between them? Those questions could mean a lifetime with soulmates or the end of their relationship. But of course I love happily ever after, and since I loved this book you know there’s a happily ever after.

Brazen the third installment of the Powertools: The Shields series. Aarav and Sola are partners at Shields, Aarav is a sniper and Sola is his spotter, she sets up the targets for Aarav to take the shot. They are attracted to one another, they are alone on a long flight and the “mile high club” is an excellent way to spend the time.
Their target is in attendance at a new casino opening, Sola and Cash meet on the balcony, just the two of them, no witnesses. Sola chats with Cash as she manoeuvrers him to the best location for Aarav’s shot then blocks the shot. She has been listening to Cash and realises that he’s an innocent and his father is the one they should be targeting. Taking a risk that she’s right and all the evidence is wrong, Sola decides to take Cash prisoner until they can make certain who the real target should be. The fact both she and Aarav are drawn to Cash makes the guard duty interesting.

This story picks up the stifled romance between sharpshooter Aarav and Sola. We get an explanation as Sola's frustration rises. The beautiful assassin reaches her limit as Aarav freaks her date, but will not approach her himself. She is furious with him as they are rushed in their wedding party clothes to a helicopter and then the private jet their team uses for missions. When they arrive onboard, their boss Jordan tells them what and how dangerous their mission is and to 'recover' and rest on the twelve-hour flight to Greece. They read correctly that their boss is telling them to make up and iron out the problems between themselves before they attempt the mission. Aarav admits part of his problem is his lack of experience; he is a virgin. Sola is honored to be his first. They become members of the Mile High Club tqgether. But this is no flighty thing for Aarav. How their love progresses is the meat of this recommended book.

Sola and Aarav are partners on the Shields Secruity team and have been dancing around their attraction to each other. When their attraction starts to interfere with their partnership Aarav must address the attraction as it can have deadly consequences. Sola and Aarav are sent on assignment to assassinate Cash but the operation goes sideways when Sola's instincts tell her something is off. Sola and Aarav new relationship now encounters an attraction to Cash. Overall, this was not my favorite in this series as I would have liked Sola and Aarav to have more time together before a third was added. It did dove more into the relationship building of this trio and was light on the action. I cannot wait for the next installment involving Ace, Liam and Ruby. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Both of these characters have a lot buried inside and are intense and serious about their job, as well as their friendship. After they finally give in, and cross a line they have been resisting for months, a mission changes everything. A man they never expected becomes a part of their world and the newest ménage is discovered. These three don’t have an easy path to travel, they each have their own emotional issues, and the current dangerous situation they are embroiled in only makes things more challenging. Readers should be ready for a range of emotions, intense sexual chemistry and a mission that will cause these three to have to truly decide what they each want for themselves and together as a couple.

This was a good one. I couldn't put it down this third book in the series. Sola, Aarav, and Cash have a unique start that's for sure. Cash was their target, but Sola listened to her gut. Sola and Aarav finally act on the attraction they have. Boy are they hot, but add Cash things get explosive with a connection. It was an unorthodox book and trust me with the Powertools world that's saying something because that's this series in a nutshell to outsiders. There is a lot feeling in this one with tough choices to be made. You can feel the push and pull these characters face. I loved seeing James in his new role killing it. The tease for the next book has me wanting it now because boy does it sound like a good one!

Sola and Aarav have been skirting around each other for a year and when they are sent on a mission together on the jet they finally get together. It's explosive and it brings them close but they don't have time to talk it through before they need to take out the bad guy.
When Sola goes with her instincts it nearly puts them both in danger but it also brings Cash into their lives.
Will he bring them closer together or will it tear them apart.
So much drama and emotion but can they all get their HEA.
Can't wait for the next book.

Jayne Rylon does it again with her unique story for Aarav, Sola, and Cash.
Aarav and Sola have been tip toeing around one another, and something’s gotta give. Loved how the two of them finally came together, it was a beautifully written part of the overall story.
Then the two of them are sent on a mission together, and Sola’s instincts are telling her something is “off” about this one. But is she right? Or will her gut instinct steer them all in the wrong direction?
Loved this MMF book and addition to the Shields series. Jayne is a fantastic writer and you won’t want to miss this one, along with the first two in the series.

Another great read from Ms. Rylon. I have been waiting for Aarav and Sola’s story after getting those little glimpses into their mutual attraction. Now they can finally give in and let me say when they do, it is explosive. They are on a mission to and instead of following through, they both fall for their target. Loved the dynamics of Cash, Aarav and Sola’s relationship. You can feel the love and admiration that they had for each other coming off the pages. She has such a way to create characters that make you root for them to have their very own HEA. Great read and can’t wait for what she has coming up next.
