A self-confessed Potterhead and Once Upon a Time fan. Laura marries her love of 1990's romcoms with her obsession with Pretty Little Liars and writes fast-paced books written especially for readers who need an escape.
Laura Burton is a British author who lives in Wiltshire, England with her three wild sons, alpha-male husband, and positively loopy Poochon.
#1: This is a short, kinda cute story of Holly & Cameron moving from friends to lovers. It's not really to my liking but it's a clean story. #2: I would have taken this dare without hesitation since Hawaii is #1 on my bucket list of places to visit. Attending a couples retreat would make it even better. This is another nice, short read with a momentous surprise for Jonah. When it's cold at home. escape to warmth in this story. #3: Katia & Ryder have to convince her Italian family they are engaged while attending her sister's wedding. That is no simple feat. It's another fun, funny story to complete this series. I received a free copy of each of these stories when they were first published. This is my voluntary opinion.
These friends get together and decide to play trutj or dare, one couple, one HEA at a gime. Each couple has a tailored dare and some do it, some don't. Those who don't have to go skinny dipping in the Hudson river. Yeah, it's winter time. Not fun at all... These boys and girls are so fun, so loveable, so clueless (some of them), but most of all, so willing to go the distance for their friends and their happiness. And what fun dares to have. Cute little stories that make you feel good :D Totally worth it! I received a free ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion
This was a cute collection of YA short stories about eight friends who are forced to confront their feelings when the matchmaker of the group Michelle dares them. Some of her dares were over the top and unbelievable for adults just starting out like the one involving going away for a weekend to Hawaii. And her forfeit to go skinny dipping in the cold river is ridiculous and if they are caught could get them arrested and lose their jobs. But I like how this book ties into another series by the author.
When they truth or dare game at Michelle‘s birthday has everyone pair off with mission to at the very least pretend to be a couple. It works out for better than anyone could’ve guessed. I love each and everyone of these books I would like to say one is my favorite but that would be a lie this whole box that is so so awesome it’s such a great idea for plots. I highly recommend this book if you love contemporary romance Novelas you will definitely love this book.
This series is fun and sweet and just the right length. What's not to love about a group of friends finding their forever love?! The author wrote in her Note that she this collection is meant to give us all of the feels and entertainment without getting bogged down. It worked! Every story left me feeling happy and ready to take on the next thing in life. During this pandemic, we certainly need uplifting reads! I do love this group of friends and sure hope we get more books about them in the future.
This is a really good set. The content is good as well as the length of each book. This is a perfect set to take with you when you only have a few short hours at a time. Each book is unique but also tied together. I love how each couple comes together and the trials they each have. This is well written set. I received a free advanced copy of this set, but I am voluntarily sharing my honest review.
A brilliant series about a group of friends who come ba k together again after college. To fulfil one of the girls thesis (cough) she needs them all to participate in a little game of true or dare, for her to use the results in her project.
What really ensues is a game of dare, all with laugh aloud moments and some very sweet moments too. Will they get their hearts desire?
Would highly recommend this box set, each book is a quick and easy read that flows effortless onto the next one. enjoy!
This collection of stories is short enough to be a light and brief read. It’s written well, the plot isn’t overly common within the genre and the characters are likeable, if not somewhat relatable. I especially enjoyed Michelle’s story and how the main characters stayed the same throughout. Romcoms aren’t my usual genre, I feel this collection has provided me the ability to add more of this type of story to my bookshelf and/or TBR.
"Truth or Dare" the collection by Laura Burton I read each of these stories as stand-alone stories. I enjoyed my time within these light fun reads. Dare Number One: Kiss Me Like You Mean It Dare Number Two: Don't Fall in Love Dare Number Three: Pretend to be Mine Three couples and three dares and lots of fun. Three sweet clean romantic comedy stories equal just for laughs and adventures.
This is an amazing set to read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great drama and romance with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Truth or Dare Collection is so enjoyable. Laura Burton is such a wonderful author. This contemporary romance series has authentic characters with realistic problems. I enjoyed all three books and can hardly recommend them. I received an arc for free in exchange for my honest voluntary review.
I read the first story and stopped after that. I mean, it was an easy read and a bit cute, but not something that would have me continue reading the other stories in this book.
