Personally, I like mine served with a side of dragon fire."
All I ever wanted was to be an acrobat in the circus. Then my family was killed by vampires and plans changed.
I became a vigilante, instead.
I still perform. My dragon, Percy, and I take to the skies in the greatest show you've ever seen.
Seeing this sassy Kansas girl cracking whips on the back of a dragon sure does draw in a crowd. Not that I allow their adulations (and tips) stop me from seeking what I truly crave. Vengeance.
We’ve hunted down the murderous vampires to New Orleans.
Seems they’ve been up to horrible things since killing my parents... and if I don't stop them, no one will.

This is a fantastic read, fast paced with a great storyline and I love the cover art...that alone is worth the price of this book!
From the twisted minds of S. W. Clarke and Ramy Vance comes a new action filled fantasy unlike anything seen before. And I do mean twisted, cause there is some dark stuff in this book that includes murder, mayhem and mythical creatures.
This is such a great story and such an amazing universe Ramy has created! Tara is the quintessential hero with a heart who won't admit she has one. I gotta wait till freaking April for book two??? Dang it!!!
This is the first book in the series. I really enjoyed the world and the characters the author has created. The world is unique and interesting. The characters are flawed and relatable. The main character has suffered a great loss and looks to avenge the loss. She also has a very young dragon that she doing her best to ‘mother’. Very interesting story that moves at a good pace. I’ve bought the second book in the series. I gave this book 5 stars.
This is a new series set in the godgone world. Five years ago the gods left and Tara’s life was changed, her family had just been killed by vampires before they became mortal creatures. Tara has been searching for them since that night. Along the way she managed to hatch dragon egg, and found herself being both a mother and a friend to the young dragon. A good read.
Two....books in one!was hesitant at first to get it,but was rewarded by the outcome.I'll leave it to you whether it's your beverage or not!but for me,I already have the sequel.if you get it,I hope you enjoy!
I can't remember a time when I wasn't fascinated with Dragons, even as the stories written about them got more sophisticated, the older I got.
Anne McCaffrey was the author who made me really fall in love with them, though and, as decade after decade has passed, more and more authors have had their own take on these awesome creatures.
S.W. Clarke, and Ramy Vance, have written a belter of a story, here. I instantly fell in love with Percival, and it just got deeper as I read of his struggles, and the fact of his divided life.
That he is being torn in two, at the choices he is having to make.
I also immediately admired Tara Drake. I really couldn't imagine having her bravery, and fortitude, at 19 year old. Well, I guess as a character in a story you can have those traits - it's a little harder in reality, sadly!
That Tara survived what she did, at 14, was a miracle - although I think there will be@ a lot of surprises in store, for any reader that follows this series, as there are far too many gaps in Tara's memory of her early days, that needs exploring.
Like all good storytellers, though, these two authors are keeping me guessing - and I love that! Lol
This first book of the series, is making me wish that there were more books in it. But, then, I'm always a sucker for a great story, that's so well written, and has kept me engaged ALL NIGHT!
Yes, I couldn't stop reading this book until I reached the end - which took until 6.55 a.m.!
A really good sign of an excellently written story, for me!
So, I'm going to try to catch a little shuteye, just for a few hours, before grabbing something to eat, then starting Book Two of this Series: 'Welcome To The Dragon Show'!
Once I've read this, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of the next stage of Tara and Percival's journey!
This was a great read from the GoneGods World. I loved the characters, and the twists. I am glad it is the first in the series because I was not done with them yet. I want to see what else Tara and Percy get into and I'm glad Ferris is their manager because he was a fun character too. Well worth reading.
Great book as are all I've read in the Gone Gods Series , Fantasy with a hint of realism . Just couldn't put of down, Fantastic just to escape in this world for a little while
