What harm could come from picking a rose?

Under the silver glow of the moon, Lycus was cursed to run through Blakx forest in wolf form. All that changed when Rapunzel set him free. Now, after learning she and Red plan to journey to the Land of Oz, he joins their adventure... oblivious to the darkness they will soon face.

Stranded in the land of Bruen, the trio hears whispers of a lost princess and a horrible beast. After sticking his nose where the king felt it didn’t belong, Lycus is forced to join the hunting party to kill the beast and rescue the princess.

Proving no good deed goes unpunished, Lycus is captured by the same beast he was ordered to slay. It doesn’t take long for him to realize all is not as it seems in the abandoned castle and there is far to this story than meets the eye.

Racing against the clock, can Lycus save the princess before his friends are imprisoned for his mistake? Or will he be forced to choose between his beauty and the beast within?

Wolf’s Beautiful Beast (The Untold Stories Book 3) by Suzanna Lynn

Wolf’s Beautiful Beast is the third book in The Untold Stories Series by Suzanna Lynn. I highly recommend reading the first two books if you haven’t already. I absolutely loved this book it’s my favorite yet. This whole series is one im definitely going to be re-reading several times. This author continues to totally blow me away with her different takes on classic fairytales. Get ready to be taken on quite the journey with Lycos, Red ,and Rapunzel as the set off to the land of Oz. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Can Lycos save the princess from the Beast? I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

I really enjoyed this one.

This book is part of a series that puts a twist on classic fairy tales like Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel, and honestly, the whole series really comes together here. It’s fast-paced, easy to get into, and just over 200 pages — perfect if you want something you can fly through.

I liked how the story blends adventure, danger, and emotion without feeling too heavy. Lycus’s journey was interesting to follow, especially as things slowly revealed themselves to be not what they seem. The twists kept me engaged, and I enjoyed the balance between the beast within him and the softer, more emotional moments.

It definitely has that twisted fairytale feel while still staying appropriate for young adult readers (13–18). If you enjoy fairy tale retellings with a darker edge, strong friendships, and quick pacing, this one is a solid read and a great addition to the series. 🐺🖤

Another fantastic classic told in such an intriguing way. Once you start reading, even though short, you are fascinated by the characters.

Lycus is a werewolf, he was cursed to live  this life by a witch and for 18 years he was a man by day and a wolf by night, all to protect the girl in the tower called Rapunzel, but all that changed the day that Red, a girl living near the cursed woods and the only one brave enough to hunt in there despite the woods, came along and rescued Rapunzel and vows to help her return to her home in Oz.

This is how the three unlikely allies and friends end up leaving all they have known all or most of their lives and Red leaving her last living relative behind to board a ship heading to Brackengulch, however the journey is not going smoothly when they are hit by a terrible storm and shipwrecked. Fortunately Lycus is able to transform into his wolf and swim to safety with the two girls in his back, but although they are back on land, they're not safe as they are told that they have landed in the Kingdom of Bruen, the ones who cut off the cursed Blakx forest in order to save themselves.

They are politely questioned by a soldier who knows about the shipwreck and as they try to warm up in a local tavern, it is announced that they have been invited up to the castle as the King and Queen's guests, this is not wholly welcomed, but it is grudgingly accepted. While they are travelling in the horse drawn covered wagon, they briefly look out of the wagon to see what the Kingdom is like and all they see are wary subjects and threats are given freely to anyone when things are discussed which should not be, but try as they might they get no more answers apart from there is a curfew at sunset because the dark is dangerous. They eventually arrive at the castle and are offered rooms to freshen up in, clean clothes and an invitation to dine with the King and Queen that evening, but Lycus manages to upset the King with a careless question, which is unexpected as it is normally Red who would do something that, especially with her grave dislike of the royalty and kingdom in question. After dinner they return to their rooms where Lycus talk with his serving boy and asks him for more information about why the villagers are scared and what of and although he gets answers, they just being more question, but manages to get some time with Red and Rapunzel so they can discuss these facts in relative secrecy, followed by Lycus slipping out of the castle to see what he can find out on his own, but he runs into more trouble and ends up having to join in a hunt for this "Beast" everyone is scared of, or his sisters as they have been assumed to be, will be imprisoned.

Will Lycus be able to play his part in the hunt and ensure that Red and Rapunzel are allowed to remain free, or will he find that his inner beast finds a kindred spirit when he is captured by the beast and will this make his choice between his friends and a princess be his downfall? This is another fantastic retelling of an untold story which keeps you just as interested in finding out the differences between them.

Suzanna Lynn's "Wolf's Beautiful Beast" is like stepping into a moonlit folktale, with modern feelings woven into it and book 3 in a series. Lynn's writing is both poetic and concise. She uses vivid sensory details, like Rapunzel's freeing touch and Lycus's cursed nights, to evoke wonder and curiosity. She also keeps the sentences short enough to keep the story moving. The pacing is expertly done, going from a slow, tense atmosphere to a fast, heart-pounding one. The pacing is not slow enough to yeet the book, and it is a slow-burn book in my taste. The story starts with character and mood exploration, but the tension rises when the three characters get stuck in Bruen and hear rumors of a missing princess and a scary beast. Lynn's ability to balance introspective parts about loyalty and identity with action-driven parts, such as Lycus's curiosity that makes a king angry, his forced recruitment into the hunting party, and the shocking turn of events when he becomes the captive, builds tension naturally and makes the sense of urgency feel earned. The emotional core of the text is a personal struggle between external beauty and inner nature, strained friendships under pressure, and the awkwardness of gratitude that turns into obligation. Lynn makes Lycus's confusion and bravery so easy to understand; it was not the story mechanics that made me cheer for him; it was how human she was. You will be enchanted by the book's fairy-tale beauty, moral depth, and satisfying forward motion as you enjoy the language. This book offers a delightful and engaging connection between myth and everyday life. The language is warm and full of charm, making it easy to feel connected, and the minor characters feel very genuine. They add subtle twists that deepen the mystery without slowing the story.

Wolf's Beautiful Beast: The Big Bad Wolf and Red Riding Hood, join Rapunzel to battle a beast. (The Untold Stories Book 3) by Suzanna Lynn is a story full of fiction and adventure. You get to see the big bad wolf differently. Rapunzel is even shown differently than ever expected. This story is full of surprises.

Lycus was cursed to race across Blakx Forest in wolf form under the silver light of the moon. When Rapunzel set him free, everything changed. He joins her and Red on their journey to the Land of Oz after learning their plans, oblivious to the darkness they will soon face. The trio, trapped in the land of Bruen, hears reports of a vanishing princess and a horrific beast. Lycus is forced to join the hunting party to destroy the beast and save the princess after sticking his nose where the king didn't think it belonged. The same beast catches Lycus he was commanded to kill, proving that no good deed goes unpunished. It doesn't take him long to realize that everything in the abandoned castle isn't as it looks and that there's a lot more to this story than meets the eye. Can Lycus rescue the princess before his friends are punished for his error in a race against the clock?

This was a lovely retelling. You get to see a side of character you never imagined before, and I loved every page of it. This is book three, and I would love to read more of this collection.

"Wolf's Beautiful Beast" is Book #3 in the "The Untold Stories" series of "fractured" fairy tales. In Book #1, we learned how Capt. Jameson Shaw became Captain Hook; in Book #2, we learned that Red Riding Hood is NOT a victim of the Big Bad Wolf; in Book #3, we get a fantastic twist on the tale of Beauty and the Beast.
We are reunited w/ Red, Rapunzel, and Lycus the white wolf shapeshifter (THE Big Bad Wolf??) from Book #2. They are on their way to Oz when they get waylaid in a land ruled by King Garrart and his Queen, Cora. They had a daughter, Arabella, who disappeared five years earlier, kidnapped by a fearsome beast whom none can gainsay, according to the king anyway. Our three heroes get thrown into prison, and Lycus is only released upon promising to rescue the long-lost princess from the fearsome beast. Lycus accompanies General Drax and his men to the abandoned, crumbling castle where Arabella is held captive, the entire place guarded by magical entwining red roses. Drax and his men leave Lycus for dead when he tumbles down the stairs into the beast's clutches.
Or does he? The twists in this "fractured" fairy tale keep coming, and it's just a thrill ride from here on out, w/ one revelation after another setting this fairy tale on its ear. As much as I enjoyed "Red's Tangled Tale," this one is just an entertaining thrill ride until the end. 4.6 stars rounds up to 5 stars!

This is the 3rd  book in The Untold Stories series and I loved it. The characters are amazingly written and I love seeing my favourite story characters in a completely different way. The stories are retold and engaging but they never lose the magic that makes them classics.

In this book we are back with Red, Rapunzel and Lycus continuing the adventure to get to Oz and defeat the wicked witch.

This time the story revolves around Lycus and his life as a wolf. The beautiful twist to it is the story of Beauty and the Beast that is woven into this book. However it isn't the story as we know it and it is a beautiful recreation that fits perfectly into this book.

When Red, Rapunzel and Lycus end up shipwrecked and taken in by the King and Queen things take a turn for the worst when the village think Lycus is the beast that had been terrifying their village. Looking to prove them wrong he sets out to find the beast and rescue the King and Queens daughter. What is doesn't realise is things aren't that simple and that there are focuses working against him that you don't even think would happen.

I was hooked on the "Untold Stories" from the beginning and Wolf's Beautiful Beast got me even more addicted from page one. Wolf's Beautiful Beast is the 3rd installment to the "Untold Stories", and I could not wait to get my hands on it. Suzanna Lynn has certainly outdone herself with the retelling of classic stories. Once again Suzanna Lynn gives us fabulous character descriptions, along with fantastic descriptions of all the lands that our brave and adventurous characters travel too, making her readers feel as if they are traveling right along with her characters. Growing up Beauty and the Beast was always my favorite Disney story, so I knew I would love Wolf's Beautiful Beast right away. Filled with far off kingdoms, shape shifting, princess's, and many other favorite fairy tale characters not only do i highly recommend Wolf's Beautiful Beast but i recommend the whole "Untold Stories" series. I can't speak for everyone but I for one can't wait to see where Suzanna Lynn takes us next.

Okay so I cannot get enough of this series, it's flipping amazing and Lynn should go down in history as one of the best authors of adapted works. I hardly recognise the classic tales that they are from because they have their own beautiful and unique life and story to tell.
Rapunzel has set Lycus free from his curse, no longer doomed to wander the Blakx Forest as a wolf, he joins forces with Rapunzel and Red who are on their way to the Land of Oz, (honestly could not contain my excitement). Problems occur when he is stranded on Bruen, a land with a terrible tale to tell of a fearsome beast and a princess held captive. Lycus joins the efforts to find this beast and slay it, rescuing the defenseless damsel. However, when Lycus gets captured by this same beast he realises that things may not be quite as he’d first been led to believe.
This series is so so awesome, I cannot recommend it enough. Get reading, you won’t regret it.

Wolf’s Beautiful Beast is the third instalment in The Untold Stories series by Suzanna Lynn. Having read the first two books, and loving them, I really couldn’t wait to dive into this story and continue the adventure/s.
As with the previous two books, this is such a sublime young adult fantasy, and again, it is a mash-up of several classic fairytales, giving us quite a different version and perspective of the stories we all thought we knew so well.
With Red, Rapunzel, and Lycus headed to the Land of Oz to confront the wicked witch- things don’t quite go according to plan- making for a wonderfully fresh and exciting read.
Again, I love all the intricate, clever, and interconnected details that really bring the story, and series, to life.
I can’t wait for the next book to see where we go from here.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Suzanna Lynn!

After reading the first two books in this series I couldn’t wait to get my “fangs” into this one. WOW! Just wow! That’s all I can say honestly. I truly love how the author uses so many of our favorite childhood fairy-tale characters to interweave this series. It’s truly amazing! As with the previous two book installments I was immediately pulled in and felt like I was “a part of their world”. There are some new characters introduced in this book that honestly made the story even better. And that’s one of the things that I love the most about these stories is how all these characters interact with each other in their realms. I cannot stress enough how in love with these books I am. Nor can I tell you to read them enough. But seriously, go read this series. You will not be disappointed at all.

I love this series and was excited to finally get more! I’m a huge fairy tale fan and grew up on Disney, so this series feeds both of those loves while giving them a fresh twist. I loved getting to see Red again and get more of Wolf’s backstory. Beauty and the Beast vibes take precedence in this book and I loved the tension and tender moments between Wolf and the princess. Also, Goldie makes an appearance and quickly stole a piece of my heart! I haven’t connected as deeply with Rapunzel, but feel she’s still finding herself and look forward to seeing how she’ll grow. I can’t wait to see what adventures await them next! If you enjoy fairy tale mashups or Once Upon a Time (tv show), but want a clean version safe for teens, I highly recommend this!

Wolf’s Beautiful Beast: The Big Bad Wolf and Red Riding Hood, join Rapunzel to battle a beast bu Suzanna Lynn is the third book in the Untold Stories series. This is a clever and original series that takes classic stories and puts a unique twist on them. I’ve found this whole series to be so exciting so far and this book is no exception. I was pulled straight into the story and the characters, some of which we are already familiar with. The series doesn’t necessarily need to be read in order but I would certainly recommend it for continuity and full enjoyment. This book is a great addition to this series and really added even more to what has already been done. It was well written and packed full of everything you could want. I would certainly recommend this book!

Wolf's Beautiful Beast (The Untold Stories #3) by Suzanna Lynn

This isn't the first book I've read by Lynn and it just keeps getting better and better. Lynn knows how to draw in readers and keep them there.

Lycus is also known as the big bad wolf. Except he's not bad. He's just misunderstood and just a boy. He's not evil and so far he has saved many lives. Including Red's. The quote I chose for Lycus is: “Thank you for your care and hospitality.”

Arabella is the princess they've locked away because she is cursed. She is a girl trapped in a dragon's body. When Lycus promises to help her she insists that he does. The quote I chose for Arabella is: “No! It’s not supposed to happen this way. Why did you get in the way?”

Highly recommended for YA Fantasy lovers.

Another superb blending of tales from my childhood! Lycos is mistaken for the beast that haunts the village and he, Red, and Rapunzel are thrown in the castle tower as prisoners. Desperate to know if their daughter, princess Arabelle, is still alive, the King and Queen agree to let Lycos go to the cursed castle to save the princess from the clutches of the beast. What will happen to Red and Rapunzel if he fails? You will have to read this third story in The Untold Stories series to see what becomes of our three travelers and to the kingdom under a cursed spell. I have really enjoyed this series and am anxious for the fourth book.

Wolf’s Beautiful Beast by Suzanna Lynn is the 3rd book in the enchanting The Untold Stories series. After reading the first two books in the series, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. These stories are so wonderful and bring a different twist to the fairy tales I loved reading as a child. Rapunzel, Red, and Lycus’ lives get intertwined in Timbergard where dark magic has transformed the once thriving land into the Black Forest. The trio are heading to Oz to confront the Wicked Witch, but their journey takes a turn when they are shipwrecked. Where are they and what will they find? I hope you take the time to read these books in order to get the most enjoyment.

Having read the first two books in the Untold Stories by Suzanna Lynn, I could not wait to read Wolf’s Beautiful Beast! I have really enjoyed this new take on many fairy tales. This story follows “the big bad wolf” as he leaves the forest, ironically with Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel. They come across what would classically be known as Beauty and the Beast, although this does not end as you think it will. It is fun to have characters such as Little Miss Muffet in small character roles, as well as big characters such as Goldilocks and the Bears. This story is fantastic as part of a series and as a stand alone. Overall, such a fun and entertaining read!

I really enjoyed the other two books in this series and could not wait to read this one! Wolf's Beautiful Beast is book 3 in The Untold Series, I highly suggest you read book one and two before starting this one, you will not be disappointed at all. The whole series is very exciting and a twist to the original fairy tale characters we all know and love. Such a clever story, the settings are detailed and the characters, well they are perfect. I couldn't wait to dive into the story and read the many adventures. Once I started I had to read until the very end. Such an amazing, fun read from the very beginning. If you like Disney and fairy tales, you will love it too!

I enjoyed this young adult story. This is the third story in this series which I highly suggest reading the previous two, they are just as enjoyable and full of fantasy. This story gives childhood characters a new role in new adventures. This is a great story for any young adult that enjoys adventure. In this story of what happens when you pick a rose. Ride Riding Hood teams up with Rapunzel to do battle. They go on another great adventure that will keep you turning pages. I highly recommend this book.

I was already hooked (pun fully intended) on this series when I got to this book. I LOVE this series. Wolf’s story incorporates everyone we’ve already met and takes us down his tale ( I really wanted to spell it tail ;) I'm cheesy but I know good books) and who he meets to change his story. This combines the big bad wolf with beauty and the beast. It’s the best untold story and rendition I’ve read in a long time. I really hope Suzanna Lynn doesn’t get tired of doing these because they rock! Read from the beginning and enjoy!

This Young Adult (YS) series is awesome. I love the fact that we have been through two stories now and this one makes three. It is a true Fantasy. We have been with Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel, and now it is Beauty and the Beast’s story. Once you recognize the story, it becomes refreshing that there is a bit of a twist in the story. I felt like the story had a fast pace to it. Also, the characters are complex and fully developed. That to me is important when I can relate to the characters. I highly recommend this book and this series to all, especially fairy tale fans.

Wolf’s Beautiful Beast
By
Suzanna Lynn

This is book 3 and as in the last 2 books, author Suzanna Lynn does not disappoint, this book ties in the Beauty and the Beast story, mixing it with other fairy tale characters. I have said this before and I will say it again, she does a wonderful job at this. It gives a unique feel to this story, holds your attention all the way through. I recommend this book as well as the other 2 in the series.

Brilliant! Utterly brilliant! I truly love how the author has put a fresh spin on classic fairy tales and combined them into something completely new yet remaining true to its counterparts. This whole serious has captured my heart and been such a wonderful escape. You can read them as stand alone novels but they do build off one another in a way that they are best appreciated in series order. I can’t help but hope that the author will be bringing us more fairy tale goodness. So good!
