This is a typical rebirth showbiz danmei. Nothing exactly new happened in the plot but the thing that separates it from the other rebirth showbiz novel, at least for what I've read so far, is that it actually shows the consequences in rebirth.
Being able to do things over again is a blessing for the character involved, mostly the MC, and that's how the other novels handled it. But in this one, it clearly showed both the pros and cons of rebirth. The changes made by the MC with the help of his knowledge from the past life will not always go his way. Every changes he made triggers butterfly effects that sometimes created new problems. Also, since MC also frequently relied on that knowledge, he's being fixated on the things that he expected to happen and ended up limiting his vision on things. It's so refreshing to see the disadvantages of a rebirth since it's more realistic to see in that kind of setting.
This also has the most impactful film plot I've read in a showbiz novel. The last film the MC and ML made, 'Bo Ying', made me cry a lot, and it's not an exaggeration. The heartbreak I've felt reading that part is the most memorable part in this novel. Maybe because it's also happened at the last part, but it stayed with me. I would have loved to see it as a short movie because that tragic love is heart wrenching.
This is not a face-slapping novel, nor it's a revenge novel. MC just wants a do-over in life after suffering from betrayal and humiliation in his past life. I loved that even if the MC has his advantage, he isn't exactly overpowered. Same goes for the ML. It's rare to see an ML who might have a high status in his profession, but he's not powerful enough to handle things in a snap. They just both relied on their own talent to reach the peak, not with the power of money. I also consider the romance in this one as a sub-plot. They might have feelings for each other early on, but the progress started halfway through the story. Even then, it's not exactly the focus. You will just get to see them, especially the MC, managed his way through the industry from the beginning.
I enjoyed this overall. Not the best among the rebirth showbiz I've read, but still recommended.

A lovely, relatively low-key rebirth story. I love how the main character doesn't need to exact horrible revenge on anyone. He just treats people based on what he's learned of their character from his previous life and tries to make sure the people he cares about has a better life. We learn that the Mc didn't fully understand his old lover in his past life, but I love how that isn't any excuse to give him a second chance (one almost - death was enough, no matter what the reason).
The author uses his past and current life to contrast a toxic relationship with a supportive one and it's wonderful. When you're in a supportive relationship, no need to care about previously intoxicating people who were bad to you.
I also love how even rebirth didn't give the Mc an invincible golden finger. He still runs into trouble and occasionally feels helpless and needs help. This makes the story feel more realistic to me.

¡La historia es increíble! No es como otros libros de renacimiento donde la venganza es la clave que mueve al protagonista, puede que Zhou Yuhe iniciará de esa manera pero con el tiempo su pasión por actuar lo llevó a un camino donde demostrar su verdaderas fortalezas era más importante que quedarse en el pasado queriendo que sus abusadores sufrieran.
Creció y maduró, dándose cuenta que, aunque llevaba 20 años de experiencias todavía le quedaba mucho que aprender y nunca fue arrogante, no se sintió como un personaje demasiado OP sino que fue su esfuerzo quien lo sacaba de situaciones y lo hacía demostrar sus habilidades.
El romance fue secundario pero hermoso y poderoso, sentí su amor y dedicación cada que salía Xie Yifeng y lo que más me gustó es que él no resolvía todos los problemas de Zhou Yuhe, sino que lo apoyaba y dejaba que el otro resolviera sus problemas porque sabía que era capaz de hacerlo.
Con el arco final de Bo Ying sentí todas las emociones a flor de piel, sus luchas y dificultades, y de verdad lloré cuando nos cuentan la verdad detrás de la muerte de Chen Ying.
Este libro es de lo mejor que he leído y lo recomiendo totalmente no como un romance, sino como una historia sobre un actor que quiere demostrarles a todos que con esfuerzo y dedicación puedes llegar a hacer grandes cosas.

I loved this novel, the calmness, the sweetness, the tiny acting scenes. Everything about it was calm, which was a nice break from my hectic life sometimes. I think in a way, I’ll always remember them. Sometimes love doesn’t have to be passionate and consuming, it can be calm and sweet !
The shows and movies MC took part in were very well developed and interesting, well explored plots! Rare to see in showbiz novels like this one, as most simply gloss over any projects MC is in. I especially liked the plot of the same-s*x film MC and ML filmed together after they were outed as a couple. Very touching plot, and I teared up at the writing (shedding lesbian tears bcs I empathise)

This was an enjoyable rebirth story that didn’t focus on revenge as per the usual face slapping rebirths usually do, but spoke more about the butterfly effect of changes made by the MC after his rebirth. Also these changes were both good and bad - He was never an omnipotent god with a golden finger, which was a refreshing change for this genre.

This novel had a good level of conflict. There wasn’t too much face slapping and not everything was super easy for the mc. Great characters and a pleasant reading experience.

Enjoyed the story a lot, loved how dedicated the ML was. One of my favourite pairing.
