Imperialist Conspiracy in Africa

Rate this book
This challenging Book is by the author of The Awakening of a People.
I.B. Tabata is president of the Unity Movement of South Africa and of The African People's Democratic Union of Southern Africa (APDUSA) and is at present in exile. On the basis of historical materialism, he explores the ramifications of imperialist conspiracy in a period of mounting political and economic crises, concentrating more especially on the liberatory struggle in Southern Africa.

As an indefatigable organiser, orator and writer, he has played an important part in the national struggle of the oppressed Blacks of South Africa for more than thirty years. Co-founder of the All-African Convention in 1935, he was one of the young militants who laid the foundations of the Unity Movement in 1943, which unites all sections in the liberatory struggle. His uncompromising principles have made exile another battleground for him.

He has addressed the Organisation of African Unity several times. With the arrest, torture and trial under the Terrorism Act of 13 leading members of the Unity Movement in 1971, he visited Europe and England and addressed a Committee of the United Nations in 1972.
