Welcome to the world of the Alpha Claimed. Each story features a strong woman and the man or men that love her. Every book is standalone, but once you read one you'll want to read the others.
Parker Nolan is home to attend her cousin's wedding after years of living abroad representing her family's nonprofit foundation. She's caught off guard when she has a fling with the best man. Ryan is smoking hot, super sweet, and so alpha he makes her toes curl. She might want to stick around a while to see where things go with him. Other than the bedroom, that is.
Ryan Wade, alpha tiger of the Pine Pride, found his mate in Parker. But Parker isn't ready to be tied down. Fortunately, he needs her expertise to help him get the youths of his pride under control if he wants to unite the different generations. Parker's bonding activities for the pride gives both of them time together, allowing her to see how good they are as a couple.
It would all be perfect if someone didn't want Parker out of the picture. Ryan's hold on his pride is falling apart and his mate's life is on the line. But Parker isn't one to go down without a fight. She's faced danger before and she's ready to do it again. But can she take on a pride of lions?
Milly Taiden (also writes as April Angel) was born in the prettiest part of the Caribbean (to her) known as the Dominican Republic. Currently, she resides in New York City with her husband, bossy young son and their little dog Speedy.
When she’s not working full-time, texting with her best friend Heidi in England, chastising her son for pulling the dog’s ears, shopping with her sister Jewel or watching scary movies with her husband, she can be found writing on her laptop.
She’s addicted to shoes, chocolate, Dunkin Donuts coffee and JIMMY THOMAS covers!!!
Milly puts it down in her sassy style that we've come to love and wait on bated breath for. Taken by the Tiger, her amazing skills are showcased again. She gives us, characters with personality and a story with meaning.
Parker isn't the normal little rich girl, her inheritance doesn't define who she is. But she isn't trying to get involved she wanna keep it free and smooth. Or so she thinks she does. Ryan well and alpha knows and what this alpha knows is that the sassy kind-hearted female is his. He just needs to be patient and let her get to know that for herself.
Fate has a way of just making things happen, the only way these two going to make it happen is to be around each other. With Parker's help, Ryan will have a chance to bring his pride together. Then there is the monkey wrench... yep *grins* danger is always close with they be able to figure out where and or whom the danger lies?
I love strong female characters and Parker is an amazing woman. Although she has a major trust fund, she doesn't let that define her and has spent most of her life working with her family's non-profit to help people in third world countries. She's back in the United States for her cousin's wedding but isn't sure how long she will stay.
Ryan has been made Alpha after his uncle died. Upon doing so he realized there is a disconnect between the young members and the elders of his pride. He knows he wants to see Parker again and their situation may be the best way to keep her from leaving the country.
There is danger everywhere, both inside his pride and out. I love the chemistry between these two main characters. It is instantly fast and hot but cools off due to some misunderstanding. Even though they come together quickly, they still make time to get to know each other. I cannot wait to see where Milly takes us in this new world. I know there are a few characters I met in this story that I would love for them to get their Happily Ever After!
Parker was an amazing women. Not only had she traveled all over the place but she'd done a lot of good helping others in third world countries. She was focused on helping others and had run the foundation her grandfather had started for over 10 years. She comes home for her cousin's wedding and meets Ryan there. They are drawn together immediately but that doesn't mean things will go smoothly. Ryan is the new alpha of his pride and the pack had some major problems. I was cheering for Parker for standing up to her folks. They really were a piece of work.
The story had bringing together youth and elders and showed all that could be gained by that interaction It was a beautiful thing.
Ryan knows the moment he sees her, Parker is his, his mate, his future...but he also knows she is human and he needs to take it slowly. Parker has spent her life running, from the ambivalence of her parents, from the empty hole inside her heart that needs to be filled. She cannot explain it but she feels safe with Ryan, he fills her craving for love but can she trust her heart, will it last. I love the chemistry, trust and respect that Ryan and Parker have for each other, the care they have for pack history and the determination to help both the elders and the youth. A fantastic series, I am looking forward to book 3 already!
A quick, sexy romp with a tiger alpha, and his human mate. An enjoyable read, beginning with the wedding of the main characters from the first book in the series, but there is no reason to have read that one first.
Milly’s books are always good for a quick, cozy read. They’re entertaining, and have a HEA, with interesting and strong main characters.
One of my favorite parts of Milly Taiden's books is she makes her story give us something we can use in real life. In this one the young adults have some "learnin'' coming up.
The two have a lightning-strike love. There are a few glitches but their professional relationship puts them together and the feelings they have can't let her resist him. The problem of dealing with the "kids" use her amazing skills to solve a real problem (the same one we often have in real life)
The characters fun and hot. The story has steam, family loyalty, love, and a chance to see enlightenment when danger strikes. As always, I really enjoyed this story and look forward to more in the series.
Very enjoyable and entertaining read. I especially liked the whole idea on integrating and looking after the elders in society. It was also great seeing Balgair again I enjoyed him from the previous books. I hope to see more of him in future books. Overall a great read. I received a free copy via Booksprout and as always my reviews are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
I read it straight through. I couldn’t put it down. It had me from beginning to the end. Ryan had a rough time getting the pride in order after the old alpha let everything fall apart. Parker had awesome ideas for the young tigers. Once the pride got organized they started making progress becoming a strong pride. Loved Parker and Ryan they complimented each other. This was an awesome steamy read. Grab it!

I’m always waiting for Milly’s next book to come out but this one was great. I know all of her books are fantastic but I loved Ryan and Parker’s story. Their story showed love not only for each other but for other people. It was a nice touch to get youth to interact with the elderly. I also love seeing Balgair in another book To the person you took this character from I would love to have a friend like that. I hope to see more if Balgair in future books. As always another great book
Patience is a virtue and Ryan is definitely a saint. He wasn't ready for a mate but there's no doubt he'll make her his in time. Parker has never set down roots, never felt the need with putting the world first. Then in walks Ryan and he makes her want more than she ever thought she could have but more than that he believes in her. Love this story!
I love Parker and Ryans story. That shifter chemistry is on point. Jade started it!!!! Jade and her 2 hubbies...lol Nope you gotta read it. You will love it. Respect for elders i see a must.

This was book two in the series and was as good as the first book. The storyline is action packed with a out of control pride and a mate to protect. The characters Ryan and his mate Parker are both intriguing and blend well together. I enjoyed this action adventure romance. Can’t wait for more.
So good! I love how selfless and giving Parker is, the instant connection between her and Ryan, and the slow build to the HEA. The author did a fantastic job of highlighting that family is who you choose them to be and the way she brought the community together was amazing. I especially enjoyed the parting gift, it just added that sweet touch Parker needed and deserved. This book is a wonderful addition to the series and I can’t wait to read book three.
Milly has done it again! I absolutely loved this book! Ryan was such a hot, sweet, and protective Alpha and Parker was a sweet, caring, and strong woman! Loved how they wanted to take care of the elders! Such a great storyline! All the characters were great and it was so good to see the change in Nigel. This had action, suspense, drama, humor, and plenty of steam! Very enjoyable! Highly recommend!

When Parker comes home for her cousin Jade’s wedding to not one but two hunky shifters she becomes prey for the hot best man who recognizes her as his mate. Both Parker and the new tiger Alpha, Ryan, have good hearts and it is truly terrific to see the good guys win in this steamy story.
This was such a fantastic book! Loved the perfect balance between beautifully sweet and steamy hot with a wonderful dash of humor. Highly recommend reading this one.
Very entertaining with likeable characters and a great ethos statement on integrating and looking after the elders in society. Liked Parker and her attitude. Not sure how she came from those two cold fish she calls parents. Ryan will definitely find his feet as alpha with Parker and her knowledge by his side. I did read an ARC version which may be why it just felt like parts were uncompleted and Ms Taiden will be finishing it before release. Will check out the KU version to see if those parts are smoothed out. This is my honest review of this book.
An Absolutely Lovely Story About Taking Chances on Love...
I have to confess, February hasn’t been a great reading month for me as several of the new releases from authors I love have been sadly disappointing. As such I’ve been in a bit of a book slump, and was unsure I wanted to read this second installment of Milly Taiden’s, “Alpha Claimed” series right away after not really loving the first book. However, after looking at the cover sitting there on the top of my kindle list for a few days I decided, why not, as even a mediocre Taiden book is far better than most others in the same sub-genre. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find this book, “Taken by the Tiger” was much better than the first, and kept in line with enough of the characters from the previous one, “Caught by the Wolves” that it actually pushed me to appreciate that one a bit more.
Here in this second installment, Taiden gives us the story of Parker Nolan and Ryan Wade. Parker being a woman of wealth who uses her privilege to travel the world and help those in need in the name of her Grandfather’s non-profit. An organization she heads and runs brilliantly and to the best of her ability, despite a greedy, uncaring father who keeps the official title of “President” for himself, refusing to acknowledge the work Parker puts into making her Grandfather’s vision reality. A woman who, is driven to the point of sacrificing everything else in her life, and despite being lonely and longing for true love, vows to stay single forever after watching her parent’s loveless marriage her entire life. And Ryan Wade, a lion shifter and security company owner who unexpectedly ends up the leader of the Pine Pride after the rightful heir (Jade’s son Ben who we met in book one) refuses. A man who recognizes Parker as his mate after seeing her at her cousin’s wedding.
What follows is an absolutely lovely story of overcoming fear and childhood trauma, grabbing chances at life and love when they are presented in their truest forms, and trusting in your own heart and instincts, despite the fear at seeing how others live and treat love. It was, by Taiden standards, a poignant and tender story that will touch you in unexpected and heartfelt ways.
Here via a morals story of teaching the younger generations within Ryan’s pride the importance of respecting and valuing the elders within their community, Taiden takes you on a journey of discovery. A journey that shows how a strong, independent, successful woman navigates all of the things that make her emotionally vulnerable, and how her innate wants and desires coincide with the outside world. It is an exhilarating exploration into how, for women, the desire for love and family often collides forcefully with the matching desire for professional achievement. It is a refreshing and joyously humorous take on the “women can have it all” story concept with a sexy, panty melting twist as only Taiden can give it.
There were a few typos and sentence structure items that distracted in several areas, but overall this installment was a vast improvement over the blah, so-so storyline of the first book in this series. This one is well worth the read and I am now looking forward to the next book :)
This is book #2 in this series. You should read the first book so you'll know who the secondary characters are and you won't be lost.
Parker Nolan is Jade's cousin and now the maid of honor at the wedding that she's running late for. Jade is marrying the Alpha and Beta of the wolf pack; she's their mate. Parker arrives just in time to catch a glimpse of the groom's best man, and he's gorgeous. She feels his stare on her throughout the whole ceremony. After the ceremony, he introduces himself and asks her to take a walk with him.
Ryan Wade, Alpha of the Tiger Pride, never thought he'd meet his mate at his best friends wedding. His tiger needs to be alone with her, so they go for a walk on the estate. Ryan takes her to a secluded spot and kisses her. From there things get wild fast. After they return to the house, Parker goes to the bathroom and sees hickeys everywhere. Jade gets her a jacket to cover them up.
Ryan leaves suddenly, the old Alpha died unexpectedly and now he has his hands full of problems with his Pride. Ryan thought he had at least20 more years before he became the Alpha. He's a twin, his brother Barrick, will be his second and help him run the Pride, but they own a big security company as well.
Parker comes from an extremely wealthy family. Her parents have tried to control her life ever since she was born. Her grandfather was the only one she really considered a parent. When he died, he left everything to her. But her father has tried to stop every decision she makes with the foundation. That's why she's been traveling overseas for the past 10 years, building homes and schools in third world countries. Her life is that foundation, helping people. Not being around her cold, uncaring parents.
Ryan needs to be around Parker to settle his tiger, he also knows that she's great with working with people. She might be the solution for his unruly cubs. He emails her and she accepts the interview without knowing who was emailing her. Parker can't keep working for the foundation if her dad won't change, she might need a new job. When she shows up for the interview, she's not happy to see that he tricked her into coming there and he can't figure out why.
Parker had lunch with a close friend and she never expected to see Ryan sitting at a table kissing another woman. She thought that they shared something more than sex.
This is an OK shifter romance, but I did have a few issues with it. It features the typical shifter instalove, but I would have liked a little more backstory on the couple.
Parker and Ryan were likable, and they were good together. I liked that Ryan's pride members automatically considered Parker part of the pride, since she was his mate.
I also didn't really believe that Parker was in love with Ryan, especially at first. She was definitely in lust, but she wasn't a shifter, so I didn't believe she would fall in love with him so quickly.
One complaint is that most of Milly's stories are a bit too explicit for me. I like hot sex in romances, but I would prefer it to be a little less descriptive and dirty. I am not a prude, but the really explicit stuff is just not romantic to me. But I will continue to read Milly's writing, as it is entertaining and fun.
There was one other issue, and it is minor, but it is a pet peeve of mine – the cover of a book should match the description of the characters in the book. Ryan is described as having dark hair. Yet the cover shows a man with blonde hair. This may not be the author’s fault, but it still bugs me.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
This is book 2 in the Alpha Claimed series but it can absolutely be read as a standalone. In this one we get Jade's cousin Parker's story! Parker is home to go to Jade's wedding. She has been out of the country running her family's non-profit for years and certainly doesn't expect to do anything but go to a wedding. And she certainly doesn't expect to have a fling with the hot best man. Ryan knows Parker is his mate from the moment he meet's her. But now he has to find a way to not only spend time with her, but to make her see him as more than a fun time for a short time. And getting her to help his pack might be just the thing he needs to do that. But when someone is out to harm not only his pack but his mate, they will both need to fight to figure out not only who is behind everything but Parker will need to show Ryan that she is tough enough to help handle the problem.
I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked Parker! I was expecting this spoiled, stuck up rich girl but she is in no way that! She has a heart of gold and isn't afraid to not only jump in and help people who need it but she also isn't afraid of hard work. And I loved that about her! Ryan is definitely the alpha male but he is also a typical clueless man! Their chemistry was off the charts right from the start but I also liked that they had to actually learn about each other and have more than just chemistry. My only drawback, I felt like Ryan was slightly wishy washy about being alpha, which doesn't really seem to fit his character. But on a whole, I get why he was. Still a great read and left me wanting to read more!
How to attend her cousin's wedding, Parker Nolan has been living and working abroad for years supporting the work or her family's nonprofit foundation. However, the day catches her off guard after she has a fling with the smoking-hot best man Ryan. Maybe this is a reason for her to stick around? Ryan Wade is the alpha tiger of the Pine Pride and at a wedding, he finds his mate in Parker, but she is not ready to be tied down and doesn't understand what being a mate means. Fortunately, he finds a way to work with and get closer to Parker as he needs her help with the younger members of his pride who seem to be out of control at the moment. Parker puts together a series of bonding activities between the younger and older members of the pride which also allows Ryan and Parker to get to know each other more. so she can see how great they are as a couple. Sadly, someone wants marker out of the picture and as Ryan's hold on the pride is on the line, Parker's life is on the line. But Parker is determined not to go down without a fight - she's not afraid of danger - something she has faced before - but is she ready to face down a pride of lions?
I liked the way Parker was a feisty and modern woman who was confident in herself and her own abilities. I also liked the way the story ended and all the happiness that seemed to be spreading between different groups of people. It was enjoyable, easy to read and easy to understand too. Contains some sexual content.
Taken by the Tiger is the second book in the Alpha Claimed series. In this book we follow Parker & tiger shifter Ryan find their way to happily ever after.
Parker has spent the last few years traveling the world for her family's charity. She's returned home for her cousin's wedding & is feeling a bit at odds, wondering if she's ready to stay home or if her wanderlust will hit again. She never expected to meet him at the wedding. Will she be ready to run before things go too far or is she really ready to settle down?
Ryan has had to take the reins of the Pine Pride after the previous alpha passed away with no one to take his place. Now he has to find a way to fix all the problems left behind by his predecessor. He's had to put his life on hold for the Pride. Then he met her at the wedding. Will he find a way to have his mate & bring his Pride back together while keeping everyone safe?
There's a lot to like about this book. First off, the main characters are both interesting & well crafted. I especially like the female lead. She's a strong woman that is finally coming in to her own & learning to stand up for herself to her family. The supporting cast is a good one & helps move the story along nicely. The plot line is interesting & kept me turning the pages. All in all, this is a good read for a quiet night.
I voluntarily read & reviewed this advanced reader's copy.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Parker is the cousin to Jade (heroine of Caught by the Wolves). Parker is happy her cousin is getting married, but one look at the best man certainly has her happy to be at the wedding for another reason. Parker has spent her life focused on her family's charity foundation, traveling the world and helping out where she can. But that hasn't left much room for a relationship.
Ryan wasn't expecting to take over as pride alpha yet, and certainly not to inherit quite so many problems left by his uncle. Adding finding his mate to the list of things to handle is either going to be just what he needs or the last straw.
I really did like Parker and Ryan. I liked how Parker managed to mix with the pride (though at times I thought the solutions a bit too easy). I had to laugh at the issue with Ryan being a twin (luckily that hiccup didn't drag out too long). I did think it was odd that Parker was so convinced that relationships were doomed to be like her parents (did she really have no examples of good relationships growing up?), but that was relatively minor of an issue.
This is another wonderful read by Milly Taiden Parker is a strong willed main female character that has a strong-willed personality and she is always sure to show her displeasure and ensure that those around are aware of her feelings. She raises funds for the family foundation that is used to assist those that are in need and she takes this responsibility very seriously and is proud of the work they do. Invited to her cousins wedding she is drawn to the best man and who happens to be an Alpha Wolf and she realises as they are together that Parker is his mate. The author once again was stood by her usual writing quality and this book has been absolutely wonderful and now, I know that you will equally enjoy every one of these books. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
Parker has all the money she could ever need but she has no one special in her life. She spends her time traveling and doing good work all over the world. Something about Ryan draws her in when she meets him at her cousin's wedding.
Ryan is struggling to get his pride under control. While he wants to be near his mate, he realizes that Parker is exactly what his pride needs to become more unified.
There is a little danger in the story, but ultimately it is a sweet relationship between the two of them. Other than a slight misunderstanding in the beginning, neither is fighting the relationship.
A book you can sit down and read in a short amount of time with enjoyment! Rarely am I disappointed in a Milly Taiden story.

This is the second book in this series which can be read as a stand-alone but is always better to be read as a series with Author Milly Taiden of course. Parker has come home from abroad to attend her cousin Jade's wedding. Right off the bat, we get the humor in this book as Parker is teasing that no one was expecting her to really show up for the wedding on time if at all but SO Happy she made it. Then the heat when she instantly hooks up with the best man Ryan. Oh my isn't that the typical wedding fodder... hook up with the best man for a one-off. The only thing is the best man is a shifter and Parker is his mate OH MY this was no ONE-OFF! I really enjoyed the way our author was able to take this book and insert things that are going on in today's world. She creates a different world but you see the underlying meaning and like Parker and Ryan we too can do better.
