A wolf shifter. A witch. The mating call is too strong to resist. Will they act on what was destined to be?
Adelina Ransome was tired of being alone. She longed for the day fate would present her mate to her. Addy was prepared to do what she must to find the one person meant for her. But before she put her plan in place, fate handed her a gift in the form of a midnight-haired, curvy witch.
Finding her mate wasn’t supposed to be this easy.
Convincing her to succumb to the pull of destiny shouldn’t be hard.
Cora Latimer was on the run. Finding the other half of her soul wasn’t expected. As much as she wanted to act on the instincts driving her to Addy, she couldn’t.
There was a crazed warlock hunting her down. Cora couldn’t risk the love of her life, but she vowed she’d protect her at all costs.
Will they give in to their desires and claim each other?

2.75 So...Just copy-paste my last two reviews for this series (these stories are pretty much cookie cutter, just swap characters and details, but the formula is the same)...In a nutshell: * IT'S SMUT - unabashed, smutty smut * The story is weak af * The characters are flat af * The writing is subpar * The narration is pretty good * Cringe-worthy vocab choices (imo) * SUPER horny ladies banging (or thinking about banging) pretty much all the time!
I'd suggest the audio over reading it (unless you're unaffected by poor writing quality, then go ahead and read it). They're short, they're trashy (in that super steamy, just barely not porn kind of way), and they take zero emotional or mental investment 🤷♀️ If that's the kind of book you're in the mood for, look no further.
It was already too late. The knowing had awakened inside her, and it wouldn’t settle down until she had bound herself to Addy.
2.5 stars. I always turn to this author when I'm in the mood for something quick and dirty, and I have the feeling I will continue to do so in the future. But I can't deny I'm always a little disappointed? This f/f werewolf series is all vibes and tropes and a lot of smut, and I'm absolutely here for it, but the writing is unfortunately flat and the plot is a big pile of nothing. I think it frustrates me all the more because I know that with some doctoring, these could be pretty decent.
Cora is a witch on the run from her coven; Addy is a werewolf who's just beginning to feel the urge to settle down. They meet when Cora tries to hide out in Addy's town, and it's insta-love and insta-lust, of course, and the plot surrounds them trying to deal with Cora's coven and its evil leader. The world-building is frustratingly opaque, and a lot of the time, it seems to want the reader to just rely on all the other paranormal tropes that we already know. For example, instead of getting any kind of meaningful background on the types of magic in this world, how magic works, where powers come from et cetera, we're just told that the bad witches have gone to "the dark side". That's it. Oh, there's a couple more details here and there, but it's just all so flat. And I know it's because the book isn't here for worldbuilding; it's here for romance and smut, but really, the lack of detail makes this world so boring. The romance is pretty standard; cute, hot, nothing to write home about. If you're into werewolves, it'll at least satisfy you on that very basic level. It ticks a lot of boxes and I love when a girl gets possessive. But as appealing as they were, the characters felt really one-note. Again, I really do love all the tropes at play here, but it felt like so much lineart; nothing coloured in.
Listened to the audiobook as read by Auri Alden, who did the best she could with the lacklustre writing and the nothing prose. And her best was great; I love her voice, but it sadly didn't do much to improve the book for me. But like I said, I read these because they're quick and hot. The extra .5 is for the primal scene alone. But otherwise, just... meh.
Addy wants to find her mate and is prepared to go on the hunter for them. Cora is in hiding and not expecting to find her soul mate. The second their eyes meet there is no denying that they are destined for each other. I love the mix of shifters and witches. The story was exciting and so sexy. I am looking forward to book 4 and a whole lot more.
Addy is a wolf desperately hoping to find her mate too since her pack mates are getting mated and living their happily ever afters Cora is a most powerful witch running from bad witches. I loved when they first meet. I really enjoy reading this series.
3,5* I love paranormal stories with werewolves, vapires and witches, I enjoy the instant connection, mates for life and intimacy and this book has it in spades so I was all for it. And lets admit it the sex here is hot. But I had to take some stars from my rating, because the plot was just too weak in this one, even for me. And I usualy prefer romance over plot with copious amounts of adventure.
I mean the story is about the most powerfull witch in the world (she is also highly trained by her former priestes and aware of her powers) she can perform powerful spells in minutes that an entire coven of witches could not even atempt to try. Yet she is terrified and on a run from a crazed arogant warlock who is barely mediocre in power and wouldn't stand a chance against her even if he had an entire coven to fight her. That just made no sense to me at all, he should be the one running from her.
#3 in The Nightstar Shifter series and each may be read as a stand-alone. Our leads are Cora (witch) and Addy/Adelina (wolf shifter). Addy is desperate to find her mate and settle down and happenchance puts Cora in her path. Mix a renegade warlock, traitorous brother, fearless wolf shifter, her loving family and friends, a witch with growing powers, instant attraction and torrid sex and you have a delicious brew of a tale. Throw in a twist at the end - be careful of what you wish for! A quick read and pleasant escape from reality. 5 stars
I rec'd a copy through Booksprout and this is my un-biased and voluntary review.
I knew what I was getting myself into when I started this series. It's a sapphic erotica series with a paranormal element to it. By the third book, I already knew what to expect. Introduce a conflict that one character goes through, and the other one who is usually the shifter who wants/needs to protect her. But the conflict only gets addressed towards the last few pages of the book. The only main thing that matters in this series is the really powerful attraction (or arousal sniffing, if you will) for each other. Because of fate and all. Hence, erotic scenes. If you expect a deeper plot, this is not for you. Adjust your expectations. That's what I did.
I don't really remember Cora and the other girl (and the plot). But I liked the fact there's another kind of paranormal being introduced. The books are short and light reads (great for my short attention addled brain). If you know what to expect, then this'd be enjoyable. I had taken the book as is and let it be. I enjoyed it somewhat for what it was.
Our heroine desperately wanted to find her match, but was not prepared for it when it occurred. Now if only she could banish the people chasing her new found love, perhaps they could get to know one another.
This is book three of the series, but it read just fine as a standalone. I don't honestly know what I am missing by starting here, but I had no problems following this story.
This is a paranormal romance of the FF variety involving magic and shifters. The story is well written and easy to read with an interesting setting that is well detailed. But the real star of the story are the characters, particularly our two leads. They are well developed and have distinct personalities and yet they fit so well together. That is, once all the distractions like people trying to kill them are set aside. The story keeps up a good pace and was over before I knew it. Overall, it was a fun read and I look forward to reading more in the series.
Highly recommended.

The story and writing have potential. I love the amount of sex but the story otherwise falls flat. The plots for the series are just ok and feel rushed. The characters themselves are great but could have a bit more development. Even the sex scenes could be changed up- lingo and positions are very stereotypical lesbian vs reality. Additionally, we are talking about wolf shifters and dominance. Some BDSM (hell even some use of toys) would be believable. There are typos that easily should have been edited. Overall, it is an entertaining series that with some work could be great.
This one had some plot so it gets some credit. I would have liked some more reasonable time between meeting and doing the deeds/falling into love. These books really do seem to rush that time frame for me. Also the smut could have used a little more oompf to it? The other two books have very similar sex scenes, so that was alittle distracting. Also I think theres a little less practicallity in having a "hunt" scene and then not put any thought into scent trails? That seems like a wasted opportunity for the material... and the reader. Also like book one, there seems to be one phrase thats over used though this time it was "her cream"
I enjoyed just as much as the last two books of the series. I appreciate Ariel's imagination and gift of description. It paints the pictures of story beautifully. This was exciting and with the addition of witches to the paranormal characters, I hope there are more FF stories to come.
I enjoyed the ideas of mating for life by the wolves and the knowing by the witches bringing the two together in an almost real world setting was fabulous.
There are some writers who manage to place a passage in a story that stands out so much you can't stop thinking about it. This story has one that speaks to me.
I enjoyed the book so much I read it again the day after I finished it.
Addy found her mate when Cora released the ward surrounding her campsite. Cora a powerful witch was on the run from Derwin because he was going to drain her powers for evil. They did their claim bite, and Derwin was surprised when he caught up with Cora. Loved that surprise and great book!
I absolutely loved this book from the beginning and it was a great creative tale of paranormal characters and humans co existing and I enjoyed reading it

Cora is a powerful witch running from her former coven and suddenly tackled by a wolf shifter named Adelina, "Addy". Who was naked when she shifted back. Addy's wolf knows her mate and the Goddess knows Cora has met her mate. Nicely written story by the author. Keeps the story flowing. Enjoy! Just a side please don't end a sentence in a preposition.
An excellent Well written steamy F/F shifter romance, with a great storyline and characters. I like that this is different from the usual M/F or menage stories. Good magical scenes. Loved it

I really liked the storyline, family, unity, love and laughs. I definitely would love for the series to continue and recommend it. It takes you to this great fantasy world. Definitely a wonderful break from reality
A fun and sexy read ,it's great to read a paranormal lesbian read without having to listen to hetrosexist parts to read a good paranormal novel. We need more good quality novels like this!
This is a good one, but it lacked some of the finesse that the other two in the Nightstar Shifter series had. It also lacked any real dreadfulness or threat with the bad guy. He was kind of just generic to begin with. Hopefully the next one is a bit more promising than this one was.
I have really enjoyed this authors other books and this one is no different. Really liked these characters quite a bit. Just could not put down whatsoever.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. It was funny at times and thoroughly a good read. I loved the characters. Will enjoy reading more of these characters .
