Great book, I can’t wait for more

This was another great book in the Children of the Gods series. I will say that the ending seems to cut off a bit because the direction the storyline is taking is still developing.  Leon and Anastasia’s story did come to a great end, but I am left wanting more from some of the side story (well side story for now at least). Thank goodness the next book is due next month, I need answers!

Overall this is a great story and has started to take a direction I never would have expected. I am still a bit undecided about it, it is usually not a genre I read much in but I am intrigued to see where this story is going to go next. Thank goodness IT Lucas is so quick with her releases! Absolutely read this book and start with book 1 if you haven’t begun the series before. Most books are set up in a 3 book trilogy with a continues main couple so the book count isn’t as daunting as it seems. With this series I am always so excited for the next book!

This was the last book of Leon and Ana’s story, but there were quite a few different story lines weaved in throughout the book. The pace was slow and steady with this entire set and this last book followed the same pace. Not everyone’s story has to be riddled with chaos!! It was nice to have a smooth transition. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5...I felt like Ana’s voices took a complete back burner in book 2 and barely even mentioned in this book. Maybe that story will come out in the future books, but I felt think they were a huge deal for Ana in her first book only to be set aside.

Most of the other Clan characters that we see throughout this last book are clearly setting up for further development in future storylines. I, personally, enjoy this aspect of these books. It makes for one huge saga instead of a bunch of stand alone books. Looking forward to see what becomes of all of these storylines!!

I read an ARC of this book and choose to leave a voluntary honest review of my thoughts.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Dark Haven Found (The Children of the Gods Paranormal Romance Book 49)- I.T. Lucas

This book was filled with many ongoing storylines that it was amazing how flawlessly the author added to and interwove so much going on at once. First of all it brought to an HEA the story of Leon and Ana which was the main plot.
Their story also hints at the blooming romance of Margaret and Bowen and also has story arcs going for Eleanor, Peter, Vlad researching Wendy’s parents and Robert trying to check out Vlad’s fraternal parent (whew sounds like a lot but it all flowed so well) there was not a boring moment in the entire book.
Then there is the crazy story of Emmett and his “people”, which is laced with so many mysteries, possibilities and the question of what lies ahead in his future.
This world is wonderfully expanding and mesmerizing with each installment. Book #50 promises more answers and questions and I am so looking forward to its release.

Ana transitions, Bowen’s in denial, and Emmett’s kinda talking

The mystery of Emmett’s people deepens and I’m wondering if Lucas has left us some breadcrumbs for future developments (she’s good at doing that), not just for them but beyond.

One thing I wish they would do is put together a manual on mating and transitioning - it would make things a lot easier for themselves. But they probably won’t and we will benefit from the misunderstandings that arise because of it.

We get more questions about the Asian immortals, and I’m on the edge of my seat with curiosity. I’m also really liking the Bowen-Margaret pairing and can’t wait to get to know both of them more. I’m also curious about the future for Eleanor, what the meaning of Syssi’s visions are, what’s going to happen with Carol and Lokan. So many things! Another great job and the next book can’t come fast enough.

Overall the was and a nice rap up to the Leon and Ana story. However there are still so many unanswered questions about Emmett's origins and how its relate to Jin, Mey and Vlad and it means for them.

I love the entire Children of the God's series these book are well written that can't put it down. However I do have two it issues with series one which is just due to own inpatients so I don't really think it counts lol which is how late in the month each book is set to release, so really I guess it just on issues which is with so many books this series you are left with so many unanswered questions about to the story arc and each title getting a three book arc some side characters story is left unfinished.

Dang it!!! You did it again I.T. Lucas!

I’m happily reading along and again I.T. Lucas did it to me. I turn the page and WOW, did I really just finish reading the book already? That’s one thing about reading on my iPad, I don’t pay attention to the % read when I’m completely absorbed in the story.
I chose a quote from the book, it is:

Life was about suffering, with a few happy moments thrown in for contrast, just so people would know how miserable they were the rest of the time.

One of the things I love most about this series is how captivating each individual book is along with how they continue to carry the storylines forward. It’s thrilling to lose oneself in the story being completely immersed and absorbed as a family member of the clan. Excellent!!

Leon & Anastasia (part3) Bk49

After capturing Emmet, Leon & Anastasia are staying at the cabin, Leon working on Anastasia s transitioning not that she knows about it. I feel a . . . . . . . . . . . . . Surprise moment coming on!!!!!!!!!! Silly man why not talk to her and tell her the truth🤔

In the meantime while trying to spring Peter and Elenor from Emmets grasp Anas friend Margaret falls and hurts herself. Bowen feels honour bound to her there for her. Is that because she's a dormant??

In the background Onegus is getting ready for the Charity ball (he's pretending to be Kian) wonder if its maybe he's turn to fall in love wen all those around him seem to be dropping like flies.
He's hoping
Loving the series
Keep up the great work I.T.Lucas

Kind of disappointed about the conclusion of Anastasia and Leon's romance. She finally transitions, but he did a bad job of explaning the immortals to her. Plus he did not explan and get her permission before he bit induced her. Their back and forth got kind of tedious. The budding relationship between Margaret and Bowen was more interesting. The possible connection of Mey, Jin, and Vlad with Emmett was promising. Also Eleanor's attraction to Emmett and break up with Greggory has potential. Overall the interactions with the other characters was more interesting than the final drama about Ana and Leon.

Overall, a good read. Leon and Anastasia's love blossomed quickly and nicely.
Eleanor seems to be redeeming herself, especially to Peter and Leon.
I really want to know if Emmet and his people are Vampires or just a different breed of immortals like Jen and Mey.
It was great seeing Andrew again. He hasn't been in a lot of the previous books. Wish we got more time with the older characters but we don't hear about them much anymore. Like what is going on with Nathalie's father? Is he still alive?
There wasn't any real action in this love story. It was a calm read with some suspense.
Hopefully the next installment will be more action and more romance.

Despite their behavior and words toward one another, I just cannot buy into the chemistry between Leon and Anastasia. I simply don't feel it and don't believe in it.

"Thank you for the good care you've taken of my friend." Who arranges the words like that? Thank you for taking good care of my friend is much more fluid and likely. Also, in this trilogy, I have noticed the lack of contractions (above is an exception not the rule). For example, you are wrong (instead of you're wrong), that is correct (that's correct), etc. which makes the conversations sound much more formal than they are. It's weird.

I cannot believe that guardians, highly trained and intelligent, are falling for brainwashed women, whose heart and mind are infatuated with and seek the approval of another. It is ridiculous and I don't buy it.

Sexy and sweet

I love this series! The characters in the books are strong, loving, and sexy. The men can be deadly when protecting their loved ones but loving and gentle with their women. The women are brave and willing to fight with and for their men and family. I love that the women are as strong as the men. This series is not about perfect people. Many of the characters have issues with abuse and other traumas in their lives but they still find away to care for and love each other.

Dark Haven Found is book 49 in I.T. Lucas' Children of the Gods series. Leon and Anastasia travel to the clans cabin to spend time together and see where their relationship stands. Once Emmett is captured and questioned the clan has more questions than answers and even more to worry about. The twist of a possible new species of immortals opens up a completely new storyline. I can't wait to see where the story takes us and what amazing new characters we'll meet.

I have read everyone of the books in this series and have enjoyed all of them. Just get so frustrated to have to wait for the next book a whole month or more. Have even tried to let a few build up in my kindle and still read them to fast because I can’t put them down. Decided to start from book one again to fill the time this series is that good. Love peeking back at the book covers of Kian. Fits his character perfectly and he is so sexy. Okay enough can’t wait for book 50.

There is a lot of little stories going in this one; so I didn't feel like Leon's and Anastasia was the main characters. Emmett's story was front and center. Bowen's and Margaret's story was front and center. Greggory's and Eleanor's story was front and center. I didn't give it a five because I kind of felt like too much was going on even though I was enjoying the story lines. I sort of like to deal with just a couple of couples at a time. BUT...I still enjoyed the book immensely.

Interesting

How many more books is in this series? I'm asking because I'd love to get to the end . So far its just mostly people falling in love and transitioning to becoming immortal. It keeps hinting and hinting first the Doomers now a new set of people. Seems to go on forever .Last several books I thought we were getting somewhere. The stories have a few exciting spots . but basically they're all the same with just hints of moving towards the final ending .

Dark Haven Found: Intrigue

I just love how Lucas has written this series so far. Each book is full of romance, intrigue, action, and many characters that have become real over time. You want to root for good guys and hope that everything works out for whoever is falling in love, as well as wanting the bad guys not to hurt anyone.
These are all great books, and I am especially grateful for how many of them there are, because it's difficult to set them down!

Book 49. I have had no problem deciding to read the next book in this series. You should start with the first book and work your way through the series. Interesting plot, immortal's that have questionable starts here on earth. Sounds kind of crazy but you really start to get carried away with the wonderful characters. The plot is wide open as to where it will go next.

Interesting Story

The developments in this book and the previous one leaves the reader wondering just which direction the storyline will go. New territory always brings some unexpected surprises to all. I am looking forward to what is ahead for the new budding love interests and the clans future.

So many

There are so many stories going on in the book that I’m glad the author used names of characters as chapter titles.
One character transitions and we’re left with several interesting plots that might not be resolved in the next book. Bowen is such a great guy, Margaret deserves a HEA, and several other people are in interesting places.

Powerful

What can I say, never in a million years would I have thought I’d sit down and read 20 books back to back and never get bored. I can truthfully say that has happened, took a short break and then finished catching up. This series is totally different. I’m very impatient now waiting until May when the next one is due out. I can’t stand it! Someone hand me a Xanax.

During the lockdown was so pleased I stumbled across this amazing series.
I love the interlocking stories and the progression of the main plot with each book.
Definitely page turners and not too heavy going.
As stated can’t wait for book 50.

Addicted!

I have fallen in love with this series! Wonderful writing, and thoroughly addictive plot. I get so wrapped up in the story that I'm shocked when I'm at the end of the book. I love how each of the minor character side stories tie into the main plot at some point, and then those minor characters become major characters in the series. I can't wait for the next book!

Always amazes me how much I enjoy this series

I always wait for several books to be publishes so I can binge read them. If I read one at a time I’m toooooo impatient for the next. Glad I discovered them near the 5th book release. I would need to take a months vacation to read them all. I.e. love this series!

Starting with books 44-46, it seems that the female love interests have evolved in to something less than. I found that Sari's character was very insecure, needy and whiney. Now we have Anastasia, also very insecure, needy and extremely bossy. I really enjoyed the previous female love interest who were strong and resilient and still had flaws however the flaws didn't overwhelm the story line.

Leon finally get a HEA with ava.Margaret might be one of them but can she be turned if she is unwell in her bones? Turner had cancer and got turned but his was a big battle and goddess helped.Eleanor relationship gets tested but she also make more friends warming her soul.I never liked her but it's nice to see her grow as a person

That was good, as usual. Eleanor is becoming a favorite of mine. I’m hopeful that the Fates will be kind to her. I am very much looking forward to Dark Power. Somebody who looks like me is gracing the cover. Woohoo!!!

Dormants are popping up all over

With Ana and Leon going full steam ahead the Fates are putting Dormants and Guardians together like it's their job! Maybe it is. This one had SO many storylines it was hard to choose which one was my favorite.

Great continuation

I love how we are finally getting into some interesting drama. Different immortals, not true mates, possible mates, and new transitioning. I’m exciting to keep reading
