Souls on fire…

USA TODAY bestselling author India R Adams writes stories of souls on fire. Whether India’s characters are feeling the heat from hell or the wings of grace, they are all transforming and want to share their journey with you. Her novels range from Dark MC, Paranormal, to Contemporary, but each story is either a path of destruction or a road to redemption.

Sometimes both.

So, if you want to read about voyages of the heart, the grit to rise from one’s knees, or the strength to break free of the binds of a spirit, then pick one of India’s stories because she believes damaged souls are worth saving and that there is nothing more beautiful than a soul on fire.

I started this series two weeks ago. The day I was done, this box set was released. I immediately started reading it again. I became so attached to this world India Adams has created that I just couldn't let these characters go yet. I feel like I found kindred spirits within these pages. Their story is heartwrenching, so unexpected, and yet so painfully beautiful. I cannot wait to dive back into this world with stories about the side characters in the future. No matter what's to come, I know it will be a roller coaster of emotions and a journey worth taking.

Anything that this author writes is exceptional. The amount of emotion that she puts into each book and her carefully crafted sentences is outstanding. I feel what her characters are feeling and I experience both their highs and their lows but also everything in between. Not many can do what she does. She is truly gifted and this series is just one example of that. I have read these books separately and am combining my reviews into one.

4.5 stars

I'm not sure what I was expecting when I started this book but it most assuredly was not this. Parts of this broke my heart and parts made me happy to watch healing occur for these characters.

The story was split into two perspectives. The first from Mavericks and his Delilah and the other from Tucker and what he experienced while helping his sister heal. That was unusual. Especially, to reconnect at the same point in the story to end on a cliffhanger.

I'm definitely reading the next book. I know what the secret is but still need to see how this pans out.

I had to do a reread of this to prepare myself for book three since it has been a long while since I have read this and I didn't want to forget any details. This was even better the second time around. What I do know after reading this again, was that I was only partially right in regard to the secret as there was SO much more to it than what I thought.

Scar Me
4.5 stars

Reading this for the second time to get refreshed for book three since it had ended on a cliffhanger gave me a totally different perspective on this story. While I am not as unhappy with how the story ended because I have the third book in my hands after that whopper of a cliffhanger in this book. Even without that, I found myself falling in deeper with the story even though it was a rehashing of the past of what had brought Delilah to Maverick and how something tragic was mirroring a past event.

I am not sure if it is just because I have gotten so familiar with this author and her writing style or if I just had more clarity but the second time reading had even more impact. There are still some scenes that broke my heart but I found hope within these pages and that is just another testament to this amazing author. I am changing my ranking to 4.5 stars now from a 4.

I cannot wait to sink my teeth into book three. That cliffhanger is BRUTAL.

Bleed Me
All the stars

How do I even review a book like this? Everything that I have read by this author has me falling down the rabbit hole, but this... yeah, the words to do it justice are a little hard for me to come up with. Reminiscent of how I felt after I read, Volatile Waters, that is how I feel about this book. I am not sure how this author manages to create these epic storylines that both gut me but also leave me feeling joy is beyond me. It is a testament to her being extraordinary when it comes to her ability to create not only complex characters but also storylines that grip my heart from the first page to the last. That is a master wordsmith, or possibly Gandalf the White. Hell, at this point, I might even call her a Goddess because her writing is that divine.

The cliffhanger from the second book was BRUTAL. This story picks up with the main character but in a way that I never saw coming. My heart literally felt like it was breaking as I watched their lives go in a totally different direction and had to overcome so many memories. Memories, that were beyond horrendous. I cannot even imagine having to create what they did in order to be able to live and function. The growth of this character was phenomenal. Even as corny as it sounds upon first hearing his road name as Giver, there truly was no better name for this character. Add in Justice, who might just be my favorite character not only from this author but in books period, and this story took over causing a maelstrom of emotions.

Fantastic secondary characters, appearances of some old characters, and even getting a glimpse of a Saint of a man and his Evermore, made this book exceed even my own expectations. I cannot recommend this author enough. So back to my first question of how do I leave a review for this amazing book? Sometimes, just imploring people to take a chance and trust that I wouldn't steer them wrong is the best way of doing that since I cannot get into the details without spoiling something spectacular. This author and this book is proof that books really are magic.

An amazing series of heartbreaking but beautiful stories!

Steel Me: Tragic and Beautiful! This book ripped my heart out and stuffed in back in. The loss and love from each character was so well written. I laughed and cried and laughed again. The authors words were so beautiful. I loved everything about this book.

Scar Me: SO BEAUTIFUL! The story continues and is again beautifully written. Such tragedy with each character, written in a way that everyone can understand. I cried a lot reading this book. My heart hurt so much!

My favorite quotes:
"Scarred. Irrevocable marked, seared. Someone leaving such a fingerprint on my soul that I have forever been labeled his."..... "To truly appreciate beauty, maybe you have to witness or endure the ugly side of life."

Bleed Me: Phenomenal, utterly tragic and beautiful story!

“I would eventually join that team of being tough as steel, but first had much to learn about the man I would become, and the child I once was, as I embarked on a hunted road that was long, lonely, and full of darkness.”

AMAZING! This is an intensely deep, dark and brilliantly written story. We are taken on an emotional journey of finding a purpose to live and fight and the healing it takes to get there. India has an uncanny ability to write stories that reach deep into our souls and that stay there for eternity. This is one of those stories.

Giver bring us into his dark, tormented and painful past. His story is not beautiful. It’s raw, gritty, dark and twisted. The fact that he is still alive after all of it shows how much of a fighter he really is. With every word I could feel his anger, his pain, his ache to be normal and his need to let it all go. Giver’s story was like a punch to the gut. It broke me, it made me cry uncontrollably and it made me ache to hold him.

Justice has her own dark and painful past. We only get glimpses of it, but I can feel it in my gut that it is as deeply painful as Giver’s. Justice is a fierce queen in her own right. She’s smart, witty, strong and has earned her place with some very tough bikers.

Justice and Giver are the perfect couple. They are two souls that are crying out looking for their other half. When these two are together it’s like their souls can finally breath. Justice is exactly what Giver needs to fight his demons in the dark and bring light to his life. Their love is beyond this world and undeniable.

“All there was for her to see was the tragic leftover of a life that no longer wanted this man who was no longer a boy. What she saw was so much more.”

“…she saw potential. She saw that man deep inside my spirit. She saw a fighter. She saw…me.

Most importantly? She let me be me.”

“He is beautiful, he is courageous, he is faithful…He is torture, he is terror, he is a nightmare…And, he is all mine.”

This is truly an amazing collection of stories. India really brings to light the demons that some of us face daily and she shows us ways that those demons can be conquered with her powerful and passionate words. Her words are real and honest making her characters and stories come to life on each and every page.

This series may be dark but in the darkness there is always light and India guides us and her characters towards the light in the darkness.

This is without a doubt one of the best series I have ever read. The stories are dark, and they will break your heart, but Adams has an amazing ability of turning tragedy into triumph and leading us back into the light. Adams writing is so powerful and so gripping that I became completely immersed in this world she created. I lived and breathed every word of it and although it put me through the wringer emotionally, I still never wanted it to end. India R. Adams has created something truly special with the Haunted Roads series. The characters, their relationships with each other and their stories are unforgettable. “The creation of haunted roads can be devastatingly painful, but…the lingering lessons and unseen answered prayers on those haunted roads brought me to a path of absolution.”

Steal Me

Delilah is currently in her depression and she can't tell a soul why. Her best friend, Viola, knows some things but not everything. She thinks she can't be with anyone until Maverick comes to town with his mom and little sister.

Maverick is new to town with his mom and little sister. He's also suffered from loss and is just trying to keep everything together. He meets Delilah and now he has a little hope for his future.

Scar Me

Tucker is trying to be a good brother to his sister, Delilah. He doesn't know why she keeps pushing him away. He's at a loss at what to do. Her best friend, Viola, calls to his soul. He can't do anything about it though - she's taken.

Viola needs to be there for people. Her best friend, Delilah, is trying to overcome loss and she needs to be the backbone. Tucker has her in knots but there's nothing she can do about it - she's taken.

Bleed Me

Giver needs a new life. He goes in as a prospect for the Steel Stallions MC not knowing if his life is worth saving. He's missing memories and doesn't know what he did.

Justice is the Road Captain for the Steel Stallions MC. She doesn't do romance. Something about the new prospect is calling to her to help his demons. She doesn't realize that he might just help hers.

This book was so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time! Everyone goes through tragedy and is just trying to move on.

These books were uniquely written in a way that I've never read before. I really enjoyed the way these were written.

There was one person in this book that I could not stand until the last book. I didn't think he could be a little bit redeemed but I was totally wrong. This was my first book by this author but definitely not my last. I didn't realize that Saint has a book so now I will have to read that one! 🖤

Incredible series

What an incredible series. It follows several characters and is done in a really unique way. The pure emotions from these characters hits the reader hard as the stories slowly unravel. These stories are filled with drama, suspense, angst and lead to love and redemption. Incredible read.

Having started with book 3 as part of a reading challenge, I originally left a 3.5🌟 review, because I felt the story was too quick. However after reading books 1 & 2 and following with a reread of book 3, I can hand on heart say this series was a 5🌟 read for me.

I felt books 1 and 2 had provided more than enough details and I strongly believe these books are best read as a series for the full story and experience. Learning about Kenny aka Giver from the very beginning was both epic and heartbreaking. We get every single second of their hurting and happiness rather than just a small amount.

This MC is more like a family than a brotherhood and knowing they have family outside of the MC is part of why I love this series so much. Its one big family, with both blood brothers and adopted ones.

I'm super excited for book 4!

Steal Me: 4 stars
There is a lot of world building in this book, so much going on and characters revealing their personalities, hurts, pains, and emotional turmoil. The story is BIG. This group of friends each have A LOT going on. Their friendships are heartwarming, heartbreaking and filled with emotional drama. I can’t wait to see what happens to Maverick & Lilah, as well as Tucker & Viola.

Scar Me: 4 stars
Although I loved the actual story of this book and the relationships and emotional complexities in this story, I did have a really hard time following it. It jumped back and forth to earlier/present times and it got confusing. It isn't an easy read but it is worth it!

Bleed Me: 5 stars
What a phenomenal conclusion to this series. So much happens in this story that will make your head spin. My heart is shredded but I also feel relieved with the ending. A great series.

Forgiveness sets you free.

Sometimes we put band aids on wounds instead of letting them heal. In this box set you will find many of those wounds. The band aids will be ripped off and the wounds will bleed. I knew I had wounds but never knew how many band aids until reading Indias work. Her writing captivates me. I have cried the most with her books. I've only read five so far. I feel as I continue to read I can somehow find forgiveness I need. I understand her characters and can only hope that one day I can find my Giver, my Saint, my Lynx, my Maverick or Justice. A person who can help me rip those band aids off and show me how beautiful it is to be able to trust yourself and love. Until then I'll keep reading about her alphas both male and female while being my own hero.

Haunted Roads is a trilogy that you will be unable to put down until you have read the very last page.

Books about high school students are not my normal go to read, but this is written by India R Adams who takes us down a dark, gritty, heart wrenching, emotion filled journey with secrets and love thrown in the mix.

It’s a brilliantly written trilogy of a friendship group with links to Steel Stallions MC & Redemption Ryders MC. There are so many layers to the characters, some you will like, some you won’t and then perhaps change your mind about. It’s an emotional roller coaster read with plenty of twists and turns and the unexpected.

India Adams creats emotional and gripping worlds and characters that will stay with you long after you have finished reading. The subject matter in these books has such an emotional impact, we are talking sexual and physical abuse, lifelong damage and the ripple effect such devastating events can have on not just the individual but also those around them.
This is yet another series from this author that truly consumes you, I was drawn in from the onset. Although there are dark moments in here, there is also humour and love, brilliant and well written.

I love this author!

How do you forgive the unforgivable? How do you fall in love with a monster? And how do you stand by and watch someone else love the other half of your soul? Just ask Delilah, Tucker, Kenny, Viola, and Justice. It isn't a pretty tale with sunshine and roses. It's a tale of nightmares , blood, and a whole lot of healing.
