Fatal Evidence has the right amount of everything I love in a book: mystery, suspense, intrigue, sexual chemistry, family drama and great friendships. Throw in an heiress turned real estate agent trying to get out from under her rich family and her entitled role and add a blue-collared construction worker with a chip on his shoulder and it's perfect.
Scott Holland and Heather Silva you should remember from the other books in this series and it was great they got their own story. There is only so much pretending one can do when there is so much sexual chemistry that it soon becomes real- Scott and Heather are no longer pretend. Heather worries she feels too much for Scott and pulls away while Scott has a bad taste in his mouth about a previous relationship and feels Heather too will look down on his lower economic and social status.
Thrown together as partners on a project they both had to have, Scott and Heather soon find themselves in the crosshairs of some lunatic trying to destroy not only their efforts of rebuilding an abandons warehouse but also in destroying them. The guessing game and the cat and mouse chase make for a great whodunit. While both Scott and Heather are fighting for their business venture, as well as their lives, they soon find battling their growing feelings difficult amongst all the chaos.
Enjoyed all the books in this series so far and loved the hint at the next to follow.

Fatal Evidence, is a very fast pace book. There is so much going on, the chemistry between Scott and Heather and all the ways that their project is being sabotaged. Some of them were quite inventive. They are very different, but can work together when it counts.

Pete (contractor) was there also.
Scott & Heather waited till the last bid & made a final offer, it was theirs.
DA Andrew Thayer “Drew” (BMF, CT., retired US Army Afghanistan) drew up the legal document for them.
Ted Farmer (50+, Division of Building Codes) put a rush order on the building permit.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written mild erotic romance mystery book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great mystery movie, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

Fatal Evidence by Kari Lemor is the third romantic suspense novel in her Love on the Line series. Scott and Heather, introduced in Lemor’s second novel, Running Target, find themselves fighting strong feelings for each other as they become business partners in restoring a rundown mill. Odd circumstances leading to costly delays on the project convince Scott and Heather that someone is out to make sure the building never gets completed. Scott’s insecurities as a “blue collared” worker matched with Heather’s drive to not be viewed as a dependent of her wealthy family, mixed with sexual tension and a killer looking to shut the mill project down, gives the reader a fast paced, romantic and suspenseful novel. Lemor once again incorporates humor, romance and suspense to make this novel another must read!

The suspense is outstanding at the end of this second chance romance It was kind of slow to start , then their workplace began to be sabotaged.

This was book three in a series and there was enough description that I did not feel like I was missing anything because I have not read the previous books. Those couples did sound interesting and now I want to read about them - especially Jack and Callie. Wow, Jack was on the run and could not be there when Callie was pregnant with his child - that sounds like it will be fun to read!
Heather and Scott had been in a pretend relationship to help out Callie and Jack but now there is more than pretend emotions going on and after a night of hot sex, Scott is ready for more and Heather is avoiding him.
They have to start getting along when the building that they both want to buy is auctioned for more than either one of them can afford so they become partners. This is a wild ride as they grow closer and give in to their attraction but along the way there is trouble.
The beginning troubles are just annoyances but that shifts when things start blowing up and they escape two attempts on their life. The false rape/assault charges against Scott were hard to read when his three day stay in the jail was described. As well as the attack on Heather, but Jian's gang came to the rescue.
Good thing that they has a great group of friends to help them out - lawyers, cops, FBI, and even a gang leader. Towards the end, I kind of suspected who might be behind the trouble but did not have a clue what was hiding in the basement and the culprit's motives.
I could hardly put the book down as it was just non-stop action or romance! I refrained from skipping to the end to see who was guilty as the building up was just perfect, and I wanted to see the story line play out without reading ahead.
The ending was great and now I want to know what Callie had - a girl or a boy! Plus, there are three bachelors who need to find someone. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

4.5- Heather and Scott have been attracted to each other for a long time, once they act on it though what happens? This book continues telling Scott and Heather's story, and it is full of twists and turns, suspense and romance. This was a fun and engaging book to read and I really enjoyed it. Thank you for allowing me to read this and write about it honestly.

Unexpected steamy pleasure
The plot and action, the storyline was great. I loved the characters and the dynamics. Their interaction had humor and bite. I had to finish once I started. The bedroom scenes were creative to say the least. Would not recommend for anyone under 18. If you want clean and simple with no steam sorry. There is language and if the intimacy were any more creative Barnum and Bailey would be interested or the Olympics at least. If you have Victorian sensibilities or prefer no bedroom action or language and can't overlook it for the action and storyline and the genuine romance that gradually develops this is likely not for you. Looking past that I found it enjoyable and would enjoy more stories like it despite the steamy scenes which neither make nor break the storyline but are a part that weaves through and does highlight their dynamics and what passes between them and events that occur and how they affect them. They could be considered like icing on the cake. For those who love the steam. The cake is great by itself but the icing adds a little something extra and is nice. For those who don't and overlook it it's like those who scrape it off and just have the cake. Still good and enjoyable. I know i managed to.

Scott Holland wants the rundown mill that's up for sale, but the only way he's going to be able to secure it is to become partners with heiress Heather Silva. Investing together should be easy enough, but it appears someone is looking to cause trouble for the pair with the site plagued with mysterious incidents. Yet, with the danger closing in on them and Scott being wary of Heather's privileged background, will he be able to let go of the past to achieve happy ever after with the woman he's falling in love with; or will they lose their chance at happiness because of a grisly discovery that could paint a huge target on both their backs?
Ms. Lemor's writing just keeps getting more and more impressive, and with this third book of her Love on the Line series, she takes the series to another level with an amazing amount of edge-of-your-seat suspense and sizzling romance that left me wanting more of Scott and Heather, as each incident becomes more and more terrifying. Will the hero and heroine give up on their investment or will they fight back against the person determined to keep them away from the rundown mill they're looking to renovate?
The way this story started had me liking the hero's reaction to the heroine, as he's not expecting her to be where he is and he's determined to discover what she's up to. Will Heather admit the truth? Will Scott be able to handle her answer? However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine came face-to-face for the first time in this story that had me completely hooked, as Scott and Heather have quite the interesting history with what they've been through with his cousin and her best friend in the previous book of this series that had them calling a truce, even though Scott is wary of the fact that Heather is a rich girl and he's had more than enough of wealthy people in his life, especially with what happened with his previous girlfriend and what happened to his family that landed him going to live with his aunt and uncle.
As for the dialogue, it was well-written; highly entertaining; and a wonderful combination of intense moments because of all the hero and heroine go through in this book because of the trouble someone is causing for them and teasing banter that had me absolutely charmed by this couple's growing relationship as the heroine does her best to win the hero's trust and the hero does his best to fit into her world and do everything he can to protect her from the person determined to hurt them. Moreover, both the main characters are incredible and I loved how this author proved without a shadow of a doubt that opposites really do attract and that no obstacle can keep them apart.
With Heather, she's resilient, courageous, worked hard to be the independent woman she is and I liked how determined she was to prove once and for all to her parents that she doesn't need their wealth to be successful or happy. I also liked that she was just as protective of Scott as he was of her, which is proven by everything they go through that has Heather willing to be by Scott's side every step of the way including the moment he's accused of something terrible and lands somewhere he shouldn't have ended up. Yet, what I liked most of all about the heroine was her stubbornness and her absolute determination to win the hero's trust. Will Scott ever be able to fully trust Heather? Will Scott ever be seen as good enough for Heather by the people that matter most to her?
While Scott, he's been through so much in his past with always feeling second best and I could understand why he feels threatened by his cousin when it comes to the family business and what it could mean for him now that his cousin has taken his rightful place in the company. I also liked how strong and brave the hero was in handling everything thrown at him, no matter how difficult the situation he lands in is for him to deal with because of things that happened to him in his past. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero is the hero's determination to protect the heroine and that he did everything he could to make sure she comes out on top against the battle they face with the bad guy. What will Scott do to make sure Heather doesn't become a killer's next victim?
Overall, Ms. Lemor has delivered an utterly captivating and intense read in this book where the secondary characters entertained me just as much as the main ones; the chemistry between this couple was powerful; the romance explodes onto the pages with plenty of sizzle once the heroine stops fighting the fact that their business partners and shouldn't get involved; and the ending was a tad nail-biting because of what the main characters go through. Will they get out of the terrible situation they find themselves in? Will they get the chance to see the bad guy behind bars for what he's done in the past and for all the trouble he's caused the hero and heroine? However, it was the last chapter that wrapped this story up perfectly, as Scott is determined to prove to Heather how much he wants her in his life. I would recommend Fatal Evidence by Kari Lemor, if you enjoy romantic suspense, the opposites attract trope, or books by authors AJ Nuest, Allison B. Hanson, Michelle Hauf and Laura Griffin.

Scott and Heather have known each other for years. Scott's cousin has a relationship with Heather's best friend. They regularly run into each other and even pretended to have a relationship for a while. Their chemistry is real, but they're from different worlds. Heather's family is rich and she has a large social network. Scott is a contractor and works with his hands. He thinks the two wouldn't mix well. Heather works in real estate and when they're both interested in the same building they decide to join forces and purchase the property together.
Scott and Heather don't have any problems working with each other, but incidents and accidents are starting to happen to them as soon as they begin with the development of their project. At first it seems they have plenty of bad luck, but when awful things keep happening they can't deny that it's deliberate and they've become targets. Will they be able to find out who wants to harm them before something will seriously go wrong? Can they keep themselves and each other safe? What will happen when their feelings become stronger, can they overcome their differences and give each other a chance and will they still have the opportunity to do that now that someone is after them?
Fatal Evidence is a gripping romantic story. Scott is a good guy. He's always there for anyone who needs him, he's friendly and his protective nature is one of his best personality traits. Heather is a strong and smart woman. She's successful, doesn't give up and knows what she wants and is incredibly sweet at the same time. They are wonderful together, but their different upbringings are causing friction. Scott thinks he doesn't have enough money to make Heather happy and Heather is under a lot of pressure from her family. However, being under constant threat makes them realize what's important in life and I kept hoping this would be enough for them to choose love. I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough to find out.
Kari Lemor writes fantastic suspenseful stories filled with passion, true love and action. Fatal Evidence kept me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed reading about Scott and Heather's project and was incredibly curious to find out who would be sabotaging them and why. I love how Kari Lemor effortlessly combines romance with mystery. Her stories are a lot of fun to read and I can never put them down. I read Fatal Evidence in one sitting and enjoyed every single page. It's a terrific thrilling story.

A hot construction company owner, a gorgeous, rich heiress with sass, brains and gumption, and a boatload of suspense make FATAL EVIDENCE, the third installment of the Love on the Line series by Lyrical Underground author Kari Lemor, another page turner!
Neither the hero nor the heroine, Scott Holland and Heather Silva, like coming in second or not being the boss. Both of them are hard working individualists with things to prove to themselves and to others. When they are forced to work together on a project that turns out to be more than either of them expected, Fatal Evidence turns into a hurry-up and get to the ending suspense and mystery as the two are forced to depend upon one another more than they ever thought they would – or could. Forced to rely on the other, is it any wonder they don’t start developing feelings for one another? And by feelings, I mean the wantyou/needyou/loveyou kind that make a good romance a great one!
I simply adore how Lemor constructs her characters. This book can be read as a standalone, but why would you? If this is your first Love on the Line book, do yourself a favor and go back and read the others, RUNNING TARGET (book1) and WILDCARD UNDERCOVER (book2). But if you have already read them and loved them, you won’t want to miss adding this one to your TBR pile.
I can only hope there are more Love on The Line books coming soon. I’m already in Lemor withdrawal!

Neither the hero nor the heroine, Scott Holland and Heather Silva, like coming in second or not being the boss. Both of them are hard working individualists with things to prove to themselves and to others. When they are forced to work together on a project that turns out to be more than either of them expected, Fatal Evidence turns into a hurry-up and get to the ending suspense and mystery as the two are forced to depend upon one another more than they ever thought they would – or could. Forced to rely on the other, is it any wonder they don’t start developing feelings for one another? And by feelings, I mean the wantyou/needyou/loveyou kind that make a good romance a great one!

This is the third book in the series but it can be read as a standalone although you do have some of the characters from the previous book in it.This is Heather and Scott's book they have been in a fake relationship to help out their friends but after feeling developed and a hot night together he is ready for more but she is avoiding him.When they go into business together they are forced to get along and realise they cannot ignore the attraction between them, as accidents start happening around them can they keep each other safe.This was a super read and will have you hooked all the way through I really enjoyed it.

Heather and Scott have a brief history: a one-night stand after the wedding of mutual friends. Scott had thought it was more; Heather was terrified to let it go farther. But many months later, they're both vying to buy the same property to rehab and opt to pool their resources and ideas to work together. The sexual tension between the two is heavy--too heavy, in my opinion as I often wanted to shout at these two to have a real conversation or get away from each other. They spend more time daydreaming about sex with each other than dealing with their issues. On the other hand, the suspense is almost minimal for the first half of the book and only ratchets up once the body is found--a little too late for me. For the first third of the book, a few unusual things happen on the construction site, but the real suspense in those pages came from me sitting on my hands to keep from strangling Heather. She can only seem to have sex with Scott when she's drunk and lets down her guard. Scott has an issue with Heather being a rich girl, and Heather's issue with Scott is...I don't really know. All we know is that Heather is determined to make her own way, without the influence or wealth her family can provide. How that ties into her reticence to have a solid relationship with Scott escapes me.
There are a few minor bumps, editing-wise: missing commas, capitalization issues, and some danglers. Readers who aren't grammar nerds will probably not even notice.
It's always difficult to dive into a series mid-stream, but this is a stand-alone story and while the previous characters pop in and out, they don't take over the story. The sex scenes are vivid and inventive. The ending satisfies a hungry reader. If you like steamy sex with a little mystery, this is a great book for you. If you prefer more mystery or suspense, less sex, you'll want to pass. 3.5 stars

An enjoyable read. After seeing Scott Holland and Heather Silva pretending to be together as part of the story line in Scott's cousin Jack's book Running Target, it was great to hear that they were getting their own book.
Difficult to explain the parts that I enjoyed the most in this book without leaving multiple spoilers.
This book has multiple parts that just work well together to make the story.
I was surprised by who the 'villain' was in this story, which makes a pleasant change from predicting the surprise or twist ahead of time.
Readers got to see more the other men that were in the same military unit as Scott, Jack and Chris (heroes of the books so far in the series) and it was enough to make me want to read their stories. I'm really hoping that sales of the books released so far are enough to have the rest of the books contracted. While I feel like Heather's sister may not as a heroine in this series based on how she was portrayed in this book, I also feel that she needs her own story.

I read a lot of dark romantic suspense and occasionally look for something more lighthearted as a change of pace. Kari Lemor’s FATAL EVIDENCE (the 3rd book in the Love on the Line series, though it can be read as a standalone: I hadn’t read either of the previous books and was not lost) was that change of pace for me, and reminded me why I stick to more substantive fare. It’s not that FATAL EVIDENCE is bad per se, it’s just… inane. The suspense subplot is over-the-top and unbelievable, and clearly simply there to try to prop up an otherwise-enjoyable/ happy-go-lucky contemporary romance. Not a terrible way to pass a handful of hours, but if you’re looking for something with more substance, definitely look elsewhere.

This is the third book in this series by this author. This book has the right amount of everything in the story. It is full of mystery, suspense, chemistry, drama and fantastic friendships. This is a fast paced book which will keep you hooked till the last page. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

I had received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Due to a hectic work schedule, I am finally getting around to writing my review.
This story is the third in a series however I have not had the opportunity to read the first two. Luckily this story can easily be read as a stand alone although I am now curious what happened before this story as I think that both Scott and Heather were supporting characters in at least one of the previous stories.
This story was interesting in how it mixed in a couple of different genres to create something a little bit unique. Not normally a fan of books that have mob or gang elements to it, this book nicely ties blended pieces of both in a way that was subtle yet relevant to the plot. I can't be sure but I believe if I had read the first two stories, I would have understood more how each fit in to the picture. This book does a good job of explaining the back story of the mob but not so much the gangs. I would be curious to see if they featured in the other books as well.
While I was able to guess the mystery of who was behind the accidents pretty easily and early on, I was still along for the ride. I enjoyed the chemistry between Scott and Heather and how their relationship developed without them really even knowing it. Add a little suspense and this story made my commute to work an easy one!

This is a very interesting storyline with believable characters and many twists. It's descriptive, and it brings all classes into it. It shows that gang members are not all bad and judges can be. I enjoyed this book.

Romance, suspense, and mystery all rolled into one. Scott and Heather have plenty of trouble when a business deal brings them back together, partners again after pretending for years and a one-night stand they just can't forget. The couple's chemistry is explosive, and the plot only gets more gripping as you move along. Thought provoking and hot as all Hades. A must read for lovers of Romantic Suspense.

I read this book back in 2017 and have been a fan ever since. She is one of a few handful of authors that are an auto buy for me and have never been disappointed.
