Please proceed with extreme caution or extreme eagerness if you’re looking for the carnal delight that only Roe can provide. *giggle* Seriously though, this was smuttastic. I’m not a big omega fan so I had to sit on my hands to stop myself from grabbing Horvat’s most recent additions. But when I heard the title and saw the cover of this hot off the press Horvat treat, there was no question about it, I needed this one! Then I read the blurb and sweet mercy, I was bubbling like a jostled soda bottle. There’s just something about Roe’s erotic escapades that soars above any possible contenders. It’s never merely erotica. It’s not just, ‘come into our bedroom’. It’s ‘come into our bedroom and have a peek at our hearts’. The layers come off, oh boy, do they ever. Yet it wasn’t simply the lack of clothing that set Danny and Neill on fire. Every crest took us not only higher but deeper. Every apex took us faster down the other side while maintaining speed for the next surge. It was an exhilarating passion-fueled ride that confirms Horvat hasn’t lost his touch.
If you’re like me and typically stick with two in the bed, I can verify the third is a catalyst in their combustion but was never intending to settle in for the long run. Curtis is a good friend. And yes, Neill has enjoyed superficial intimacy and passion with him in the past. They have never been in a relationship and have no plans to do so. Curtis has truly been there for Neill when Neill needed him the most. It’s this infinite trust that nudges his curiosity when Curtis proposes a night of kinky fun with Danny. I always get red ears when I read a Roe Horvat 😊 I particularly like this book, the sex scenes are of course phenomenal as always, but I especially liked the beginning of the book. I think it is very beautifully described how Danny and Neill immediately understand each other. They are just in tune with each other and it's really palpable.
They kissed deeper, then gentle again, and more intense, dirtier…then soft. Neill was getting dizzy from the sensual exploration. The kiss felt like a conversation, an exchange of opinions. 😍😍😍
“If you were to tattoo a reminder of your worst personal trait, what would that be?”
“A whole pizza, covering my entire belly. And you?”
“A stop sign on my forehead.” 😂😂😂

No other author manages to make me enjoy a short novella (63 pages) with insta-attraction / insta-lust and two MMCs falling in love just two days after meeting (and those 2 days were spent with lots of sex and a little talking).
Roe Horvat not only lets me believe in the attraction between Neill and Danny, but is able to write a storyline full of sex, that yet has tender moments, touchs and shows the vulnerability of its characters.
Although.. I think this is my limit of how much steam I can take in a novella.
*blushing* 🙈.
My favorites from Roe Horvat still are:
The Layover,
Vanilla Clouds.
A love song for the man in the white coat.
They have less sex and even more chemistry and feelings (in my opinion).

4 “It had been the best sex of his life” stars
This is pretty much my reaction after reading this book:
I am a big fan of Roe Horvat and his sex scenes are already fucking hot but Jesus Christ, this book was really fucking hot. But it was also really sweet and tender. It was the perfect mix of sweetness and hotness.
Brief summary: Neill got out of an abusive relationship nine months ago and hasn’t been with anyone since. His friend, Curtis, invites him to a threesome with a guy called Danny, saying that he would be perfect with Neill. They end up never having a threesome and Neill and Danny spend that entire weekend together. And there is lots of feelings and lots of really hot sex.
First, I really loved the vibe of this book. There was lots of really good sex scenes but they was also so much tenderness and a lot of swetness. And I really liked how there was a little bit of conflict and that them getting together wasn’t that easy. I also loved how it was a little awkward between them at first and how they both had insecurities about the other leaving them. It made sense since they had just met and it felt very realistic.
Second, I really loved both Neill and Danny. I loved how they both were a little insecure but that it all made sense based on what we were told about them. I really liked both of the characters. I loved Neill, he was so sweet and just wanted to get over his past hurt and feel better and I really loved him for it. He was so strong and so damn sweet. I also really loved Danny. He seemed like such a good man. He really seemed like he was perfect for Neill. These two fit really well together. Also, Danny was described as a big and hairy man, which is my kryptonite, so that helped my love for him too haha
Third, I really enjoyed their banter. I always love a good banter and it was really damn good here.
Fourth, I already mentioned a couple of times that the sex is really fucking hot. But I need to talk about it about because damn. The sex scenes in this were all so fucking good. But not only were they hot, they also really helped the story move along. It was easy to learn a lot about the characters just from reading the sex scenes, their personnalities really shown through them and I was a big fan of that. Also, I am ashtonished at how many adjectives Roe Horvat found to describe every sex scene. It’s really impressive. Also, special mention to the dirty talk, it was fucking hot, and the rimming, which was also really fucking hot.
My only niggle is the set up, i’m not sure I enjoyed it. Curtis basically arranged a threeaome to set them up and I don’t really like that concept. But I enjoyed the rest of the book so much that it doesn’t really bother me.
This was really fucking sweet and really hot and I really enjoyed it.

THIS is exactly what Roe Horvat does best:
a magical mixture of hot-hot-hot, some mind-blowing sex and a generous dollop of real feels.
Not many people can sell insta-love in such a believable and convincing way. There IS a thing called 'love at first sight', after all! I totally adored bigger-than-a-mountain, reliable and genuinely nice Danny and vulnerable, but oh-so sexy, uninhibited Neill.
If you're looking for a big, fat morsel of beautiful, sizzling heat without losing the emotional part, this is definitely for you!

This spicy novella has sex on almost every page. But, like with any of his recent output, Roe Horvat also delivers a wonderfully sweet and emotional romance alongside the heat and passion.
It's basically, as it says, set over a weekend. Neill's best friend gets him to meet Danny under somewhat dodgy circumstances (but he's doing it with the best intentions) and it goes from there.
There's an instant connection between the two men, however both are dealing with serious trust issues and, for Neill, a much deeper level of fear as his last partner subjected him to a whole stack of emotional abuse.
But, as what originally starts out as just a way to get off, and for Neill to re-enter the dating ring, turns into something entirely different, the reader is left with a gorgeously written first stages of a relationship we know will last forever.
Bravo once again Roe, can't wait for more!

A truly lovely hurt/comfort story, Roe Horvat’s latest novel, Naked Weekend is a real heartwarmer. Plus it’s hot as hell!!!
Nobody does this kind of romance better. There’s so much storyline building within the erotica. The characters develop, and their connection deepens, it’s just seamless. What an absolute pleasure to read a Roe Horvat novel.
The sex in Naked Weekend is absolutely scorching. Creative and completely engrossing, I don’t know how he does it, but each scene is completely unique. I’m praying Roe Horvat never runs out of ways to show his characters' connections.

I read this book after I read Naked Games, and I'm glad because the ending wasn't great. There's no epilogue, so at the end, Neill and Danny have only known each other a week. Fortunately, in the second book we find out that Neill and Danny are engaged, so all is right with the world.
The chemistry between the MCs is flammable and highly combustible. Sex is a central component of this story, but the spark between Neill and Danny is not just sexual. These two are soulmates, and the sex, while raw and at times rough, is also tender.
I had hearts in my eyes the entire time.
Curtis (Neill's bestie and Danny's brief hookup) surely deserves a box of chocolates (champagne too!) for bringing these two men together.

Clocking in at just 84 pages, this novella was:
🟢 Hot, Hot, Hot! About 85% sex and full of dirty talk. Can’t say that I minded. It’s not something I always want. I’d say in general, I prefer slow burns. But not always. There are always exceptions. My point is, if you are in the mood for an erotic treat, this would be one to try.
🟡 Insta-love to the max! Also, not my usual thing and while I can’t say that I loved it here either, it didn’t bug me really. Like my friend Jan said in her review, this is one of the only authors that can often get away with insta-love without making me annoyed. His writing is so lush and sensual that I tend to get swept away.
In fact, just read Jan’s review. I don’t know how to post links to other reviews. But look it up. It has hot gifs and is better than my rambling.

Such a tender piece of work this was 😍. I honestly was not excepting this to have any plot, with how short it was, but it actually deals with one of the most important and normalized abuses of all time, domestic abuse. And then feeling okay enough to date again. Honestly, I'm so proud of him!
Then you meet Danny and wonder why we all meet the Joes of the world, rather than the Danny 🙃. The sex was soooo goddamn hot, but equally sweet and tender, and even though I was thinking I needed to be hosed down, my heart was pulling a Dorothy 🥵😓.
Overall, totally recommend! Tw: infidelity and domestic abuse.

I dunno man… there’s just something particularly magical about Roe’s writing. Especially some of his older stuff. I ate up this re-read.

One of the best things about Roe’s writing is his ability to create a kinky and loving connection that is believable right off the bat. This little story is full of high steam, two cautious lovers testing a fast connection, and healing from previously having their trust broken. You can actually feel their connection as soon as it was written, and that is the true test of a writer, especially in a novella. It was absolute poetry and I just wanted more of Danny and Niell.
Also, kudos for writing a shout out to the gorgeous Swedish actor Mikael Persbrandt.

Naked Weekend is an erotic novella with romantic undertones. The plot is exactly what the title suggests: a weekend where the mcs decide to spent their entire time naked together.
Danny and Neill get set up by a mutual friend, Curtis, but Neill is reluctant because of a bad breakup a few months ago. He's still dealing with the aftermath of that abusive relationship and trying to find himself again, so he's very cautious about putting himself out there again.
After some scheming on Curtis's part, Danny and Neill get together for a casual hook up, but quickly the plans change.
One night, soon becomes a whole weekend and the more time they spend together, the more they realize how much they fit together. Slowly Neill starts to relax and entertain the idea of meeting Danny again and even seeing where their connection might take them.
Both mcs have pasts that are still affecting them and issues they have to deal with. In other words, this isn't just erotica, there's also a plot, emotions and backstories.
I look forward to the next book in the series!

That was one hot & sexy little number, with a side of sweet! Neill and Danny have loads of chemistry and their naked weekend was just right. Delicious and dirty, with the only angst being their pasts, that gave the story enough gravity, without weighing it down. Roe Horvat has become a favorite and I always look forward to reading his contemporaries. Recommended!

If you want mm erotica but still with romance, then you definitely need to check out Roe Horvat. He writes very sensual but also explicit and HOT scenes, but then pairs it with believable emotion and feels, I just love it!
Although the blurb makes it sound like a threesome, this is very much a story between Neill and Danny, and the "naked weekend" they spend together, one that wildly spins out of control as the two fall for each other. Definitely a fun, sexy, quick read. I can't wait to read more!
