I loved this book! You got to know Jack and Astrid a little through the other books, but man did their story exceed expectations! Jack and Astrid are both amazing characters. They are strong, caring people that will do anything for the people they care about. This is a story about finding the person that completes you and finding that love makes you stronger. An absolute must read for all suspense romance lovers.

Jack Granger and Astrid Lasso are my new favorite Eidolon couple along with Alex and Evelyn. Jack has always been an interesting character to me since his introduction in Fortis. Throughout the series, he has proved to be an honorable warrior, a trusted leader, and a loyal friend who is sadly haunted by his fathers betrayal.
Astrid Lasson was brought to life by Roz, Zenobi’s leader, after she was betrayed and left for dead by a narco organization and the CIA. Despite the pain and horrible memories, Astrid never lost her shine. Together Astrid, Jack, and their team embarked on a mission to protect Queen Lydia II from the monsters of their past and along the way discover that love not only makes them stronger, but much more lethal.

Holy smokes we have been waiting patiently for the boss man's Jack's book forever since Fortis and Will 's book and every other book Jack's been mentioned in and let me tell you all this book is absolutely brilliant and filled with suspense and action packed and chemistry and romance and heartbreak and deception and so much more .we know that Will and Jack's criminal father is on the loose and the Queens tour is beginning and Astrid steps in and becomes part of the protection detail as lady in waiting and her and Jack have been playing this flirty give each other insults game but will they find their way to each other and finally realize it's love or will someone from Astrid past come back to hurt her? I was so enthralled with the storylines and was exhilarated to see The Fortis Teams and Eidolon and Zenobi all coming together and working to get the bad guys. Maddie Wade absolutely rocked this book with its twists and turns and leaves your heart full of love and then throws a sneak peek into the next book and OMG I will be waiting and watching for it . I absolutely have a book hangover now and will reread this book a few more times because we all love Jack.

Jack's story has been highly anticipated by readers and the pressure is on for the book to hit the mark. I'm happy to say, it did. Ms Wade definitely did Jack and Astrid justice as she brings this highly explosive couple together. It's hot, sexy, and full of heart.
I'm going to be honest and say that I was not certain how I'd like Astrid and that was going to be a big thing for me. Would Ms Wade make Astrid likable since from her cameos in previous books I did not like her brash, loud personality with a large dose of thrill seeking daredevil thrown in. Fortunately, that's all a front and in this book, with Jack, we see a softer, more vulnerable Astrid who is still as deadly and dangerous as her reputation as a Zenobi assassin makes her out to be. She fits into her role protecting the Queen brilliantly even as other circumstances and events move to unsettle her and brings her past crashing into her present.
I've always liked Jack, but then I have a thing for men in power. He's serious, take no nonsense, and competent, but at the same time, he's also got plenty of heart. He's considerate and kind to his team mates and employees, and the way he is with Autumn and baby Maggie speaks volumes to the man he is. He might be all alpha male, but he's also got a softer, more tender side that he shows to those he cares about and considers family.
The whole thing with his father, Frederick is a pain in the rear end. It brings so much pain and anger to both Jack and Will, although Jack is at the forefront of dealing with it. Gotta say, I didn't see that twist with Jack's family history coming and that was a good surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed that particular avenue the story went down.
It's a bittersweet moment when such a highly anticipated book comes and goes but I did enjoy Jack and Astrid's story. Now if only Ms Wade would hurry up and write the story for Decker who is my favorite of the Eidolon guys. I love how mysterious he is.

I really do not know what to say to express how great this book is! I've been waiting for Jack's book since first meeting him, then the foreshadowing that he'd end up with Astrid began and I couldn't wait because I knew it would be even more epic than I thought. And boy I wasn't wrong. Oh Jack made my heart flip. He's everything I thought he'd be under that gruff exterior and Astrid is one tough lady and very lucky to have Jack by her side. Suspense, intrigue, and romance for an awesome story that definitely keeps you on your toes.

If you have read the previous books in this series (as well as Fortis) you might have been waiting for this day to come…if you haven’t then you are in for a treat.
Jack is the lead of a black ops underground security firm that caters for the needs of the Crown, amongst other high profile clients. Having been burnt by his father he has no time for relationships, seeing them as nothing but a distraction. But he can’t seem to stay away from one of his friendly enemies colleagues Astrid.
A slow burn through the previous books, their relationship soon ignites with a bang and despite only wanting to take the edge off, soon neither can stay away from the other.
I loved how strong a character Astrid was, she was a perfect counterpart to broody serious Jack. And boy could she take care of herself. I especially liked that she didn’t give any of that away once they got together and remained as badass as she had previously been.
Jack fell far more easily than I expected if I’m honest, I did expect him to put up much more of a fight but when he gave in to his feelings it was very much him being all in.
The tying up of some underlying series storylines was nice, and the author does that well, through the series she carries storylines, ties some up and starts new ones which keep the flow of the series well aligned and a joy to read

Read this book three times over night. It was AMAZING!!!! I e been waiting for this story for such a long time but let me tell you it was sooooo worth every minute to be able to read the magnificent story of Jack and Astrid. I was enthralled from the very first word and each word thereafter just solidified the beautiful story of Jack. He’s the alpha to all alphas. He’s complex, stoic and bossy it took someone as strong as Astrid to complete him. The way his world settled and calmed when he was with her was beautiful and that they needed each other to feel whole made my heart ache. My only criticism is that it ended too soon. I wanted it to go on and on forever. I couldn’t get enough of the love and passion they evoked between each other despite fighting evil on all fronts. They both deserved the happy ever after they are in store for. I just wish I was Astrid!!!
Maddie has once again delivered a stunning success. The magical world she creates with obvious love are stunning and leave a little souvenir on your heart. This book is definitely not to be missed. It is heartwarming, suspenseful and life altering. It’s no wonder she’s my unicorn author!!!! Couldn’t recommend highly enough!!!

Again Maddie Wade brings her characters to life. In her previous books Jack is always the gruff and grumpy boss to his team and doesn't do relationships.
Then comes Astrid from the Zenobi team and each time her and Jack are in the same room she can't seem to stop giving him barbs, etc. just to get his blood pressure rising.
It appears they have been fantasizing about what it would be like to give into their attraction for quite some time.
Jack and team are called upon by the Queen as her personal protection and Jack needs a woman to assist in keeping the Queen safe. He asks Astrid and she immediately says yes.
Also, during this personal protection, Jack and brother Will as well as the rest of the team are looking for Jack and Will's father to ensure Frederick doesn't try to cause trouble or try and kill any one of them.
Astrid and Jack finally give into their attraction and as things steam up between them, there still are secrets Astrid is keeping.
I won't give anything else away, but this is a "must read" by Maddie Wade.

Each successive book in this series just keeps getting better and better, and this one is no exception. Jack is the leader and founder of Eidolon, a black ops team tasked with protecting the Queen. He also has family issues relating to his father, a dangerous man he is trying to find. He has no time to form relationships, but has spent the last year or so verbally sparring with Astrid, from the all female Zenobi team. Tasked with security for the Queen's tour he needs Astrid to act as a lady in waiting so she can give close protection to the Queen, and their relationship begins to change. The story is full of unexpected twists and turns, and some really hot scenes as the relationship between Astrid and Jack develops. Soon Jack is trying to deal with more than just security for the royal tour, as issues with his father and and also Astrid’s past all come to a head, requiring him to bring in Fortis and the rest of Zenobi. This is a great read, and I really can’t wait to read the next book. I would highly recommend the series.

We have been waiting for Jack’s store forever! Ms Wade did not disappoint when she wrote this one. Jack and Astrid have been sniping at each other since they met and we find out fantasying about each other also. The Queen is ready to tour and the Eidolon team is as ready as they can be with the search still on for Jack and Will’s evil sperm donor. Astrid is hired a Lady In Waiting for the Queen to she can assist as personal protection also. She is chaos to his always in control but the two agree to be “friends” and they start seeing a different side of each other just as Astrid’s past makes a comeback. Can Jack keep the Queen of his country safe as well and of someone who is becoming queen of his heart? This is an action packed book with suspense, the Eidolon and Fortis teams and lots of steamy hot hot scenes. You definitely don’t want to miss this one!

Hello Jack! As if any woman is going to tell you to stop, it's more likely to be 'Don't ever stop!'
I love this book, Jack is the master of control, he thrives in plans and order, allowing him full control...until Astrid. His Firefly destroys every bit of his control, every one of his plans and lives in a state of chaos, but she is still perfect for him, the soul mate that he wasn't looking for, didn't plan on having and wasn't aware he needed. It is so good to see Jack finally stop fighting the chemistry between them and begin embracing it, it has been sparking for a long time but once the shit storm his father created becomes a tornado heading straight for Eidolon with Astrid as collateral damage, he knows he can no longer resist, or he risks losing her and leaps head first into love.
This is such an amazing series and I love that we get a full crossover here with all the teams working together, another hit for Ms Wade which I read on Kindle Unlimited.

OMG! That is the best book in this series…so far! Now I am a little biased as I had fallen in love with Jack in the Fortis books, but…the writing, the story, the drama, the Lovin’ and the action just all rolled together to make it the perfect book.
I should be jealous of Astrid, but she is just what Jack needs (I am not good in a dangerous situation so there’s that 😊). She doesn’t take his bull and soon shows him that she’s what he needs and vice versa.
It’s the style of writing that really links this book together. The fab action scenes and the brilliant characterisation which have carried over from Maddie Wades Fortis series. The flow of the story as it carries throughout each book without overshadowing each couple as they find their way to a HEA. I love it all!
Thank you for the chance to read and get to Jack upfront and before anyone else…its really appreciated my friend. Now I know Lopez is on his way but I’m itching to get to Decker…not too much longer I hope???

I borrowed Jack ~ Eidolon Black Ops ~ Book 8 from the Kindle Unlimited Program.
Astrid Lasson is a pain in the ass as far as Jack is concerned; he considers her wild and dangerous but things change quickly when he get to know her. As the boss of Eidolon Jack takes his responsibilities seriously for the entire team, the British Royals he works to protect and all the families in the group. I loved the opposites attract aspect of the developing relationship between Astrid and Jack.
One of the responsibilities is a very difficult tour of the British Commonwealth that the Queen is ready to do and keeping her safe. Add the treats from his deranged father, the missing sister and the connections to drug cartels and danger is coming from all directions as both Fortis and Zenobi join the Eidolon Group to protect the Queen, protect Astrid's sister, protect Jack and Will's mother and save Astrid from his crazed father that has kidnapped her.
I keep thinking each of these stories just get better and better, Jack so full of revealed secrets, sweet love and total commitment that is really is the best one yet!

Maddie is an incredible author! JACK was probably the most anticipated book…. we ALL could not wait for Jack’s story! And Maddie blew it out of the water! Not only is Jack and Astrid’s story so hot, and they are sooo perfect together, Maddie’s story telling is mind blowing! Having read all of Fortis and now Eidolon, I’m most in love with Jack! I cannot more highly recommend an author! If you haven’t started any of Maddie’s books, start from the beginning with Fortis and then Eidolon. The connection and solidarity is such an important part of each character. Jack is rated MORE than five star!

Since the first time we met Jack in the Fortis Series,(before Eidolon, I highly recommend if you haven’t read it)he became an immediate favorite of mine. Finding the perfect woman for him would definitely be a challenge. She would have to be a woman capable of softening his nature, but strong enough to stand up for herself. Astrid is all of this and more.
There are so many different things to touch on in this book that make it so good like the love story, the action and of course the questions. I loved that this book seems to answer a lot of the questions that have kept us guessing. We’ve watched the story of Jack’s evil father unfold throughout the series, and Jack’s struggle to make it right for his family. This was beautifully written and lived up to the high expectations that are Jack.
There are so many different things to touch on in this book that make it so good like the love story, the action and of course the questions. I loved that this book seems to answer a lot of the questions that have kept us guessing. We’ve watched the story of Jack’s evil father unfold throughout the series, and Jack’s struggle to make it right for his family. This was beautifully written and lived up to the high expectations that are Jack.

This book has been long awaited and certainly did not disappoint. The Eidolon series goes from strength to strength. This book had a gripping storyline, great chemistry between Jack and Astrid and sizzling sex. Although this book could be read as a stand alone I highly recommend reading the rest of the series as you are given the opportunity to catch up with old friends from both the Eidolon series and Fortis (both come highly recommended) This book is definitely worth putting on your "to read" list. As usual there were the usual teasers relating to future books and I eagerly await the next installment.

Maddie Wade just keeps raising the bar. I’ve been waiting for Jack Granger’s story and here she didn’t disappoint. Jack has been a fixture in the series since his introduction in Fortis. He’s always been the rock for all around him, while being haunted by his fathers betrayal and never allowed himself to get close to anyone. Astrid is his true match just as damaged by others betrayals but still a bright light in Jack’s world. They take up a mission for the queen and find that they are far stronger together and find the love that they both thought would never be.

Jack has finally arrived and boy was it with the wait. Adored this story with Astrid and Jack, finally getting to know these characters better and watching them come together. That, combined with so many of the mysteries coming to light, makes this book one of my all time favourites. Maddie is simply fabulous and her books just keep getting better and better. The intrigue, the romance, the action and the teases of what's to come. Loved it. Love the series. Cannot wait for the next book.

Just like the others in the Eidolon Black Op Series, Jack didn't disappoint. He is strong, loyal and very protective of those he cares about. Astrid is a strong women who has some vulnerability. The two fight their attraction way too long. And once they give in are a force to be reckoned with. I love how this book can be a standalone or in the series since the characters are involved in each other's lives. And the action is mixed with the right amount of romance.

Man oh man, this book was so good. I love how Jack and Astrid finally found they way to each other. The slow burn of them flirting, laughing, and badmouthing each was just the start of what really turned out to be their blessing. I can't wait to see what happens with the rest of this team. Thank you for writing some awesome and amazing stories. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

Jack is my new favorite book in the Eidolon series by Maddie Wade. The story has been building for a long time, and it was definitely worth the wait. Jack discovers his new romantic side when he is on tour guarding the queen with Astrid and his team. Their attraction is of the charts, and Jack takes his job to defend the love of his life quite seriously. This book is steamy and suspenseful, and it has a marvelous happily ever after. In the battle with his father, Jack also realizes the importance of the family that you make. I could but put this book down. I can’t wait for the next book!

Loved Jack’s story, loyal, fierce and tender all in one. Jack is the head of Eidolan and it was amazing the way the story left you still respecting his fierce loyalty along with his softer side with his sole mate beside him. Loved loved loved this book, worth the wait and I never wanted it to end.

I absolutely loved this book!! I've been waiting for Jack since he was introduced at the beginning. Jack and Astrid have a hot chemistry since they met. It was action packed had me on the edge of my seat! Their story exceeded my expectations!! Great job Ms Wade!!

Astrid paid dearly while doing undercover work for the CIA. She becomes close to Jack, when both their pasts jeopardize their future. I absolutely love this well written book!

She has done it again. Jack and Astrid's story is once again fantastic. It had me on the edge of my seat from the word go. Looking forward to the next book.

I was so looking forward to Jack and once again Ms Wade didn’t disappoint, this story was HOT 🔥with so many turns and now (after the little snippet at the end) I’m eagerly awaiting Lopez’s story and of course Shadow Elite ❤️

Astrid's story is heartbreaking. While working for the CIA, she was betrayed and tortured and then left for dead. Abandoned by the very people she had placed her trust in. And while she was rescued and brought back to health, finding a home with the assassin group Zenobi, her issues of trust never fully regenerated. Having to fight alongside of Jack, placing her hopes and her heart in his arms, is the scariest thing she faces. Will he betray her like she was before? Will her heart fully come to trust his emotions? Will she become the woman she was meant to be all along?

Holy smokes i have fallen in love this book is totally amazing sucked me right in right from the beginning the chemistry between Jack and Astrid damn totally hot. Thanks to Maddie Wade writing another awesome book

Wow the build up to jack book did not disappoint. Really enjoyed it from start to finish. I found it interesting in how both jack and astrids life’s intertwined. The banter as always made me chuckle. Im looking forward to seeing how the story continues in Lopez book.
