Hold onto your fried corncobs, because T.R. Prouty is at it again, bringing us yet another masterpiece in her Tomorrow Is Another Day series! This book continues to follow DJ Tipper through her crazy (and crazy UNFAIR) life, shooting us all back into our childhood days where nothing went right and we were always wrong.

The anger at sheer injustice that this book can bring... Woo Nelly. In book one, some characters brought up distaste, but that distaste turned into a festering hatred that I cannot wait to see satisfied. This book shows DJ's wild side in not taking any more crap, and I just know that the little terrors who deserve to have all their corncobs be soggy will get what's coming to them... It is something I await with bated breath.

I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say this: DJ's world is expanding, and the journey is one of a lifetime. I'm so happy with how relationships are building and developing between some of my favorite characters. I adore how the chaos never once stalled or ceased or ran out. The ending leaves you needing more. The mysteries remain ever present. This epic tale continues to address big topics in the clearest and simplest ways. It's too good to miss.

So don't.

See you on the flippity flop in Crab Cove!

This book had me on the edge of my seat i had to stay up to midnight reading it wondering what was going to happen next. I was laughing so hard at different spots I thought I would pee my pants. So much loveable drama. Poor dj keeps getting herself in sticky situations. Like the time she is at camp and her friend convinces her to let her pierce her ears and then she can only get one done and her fear of salmon yellow lol.

What a dandy! Shooterilla, this book was funny. Way better than the first one! The pranks played at camp were insane and I couldn’t help but burst into laughter. Chapter after chapter kept me going, laughing, and following along the adventure that is Dennis’ life. I can’t wait to find out what happens next. WHAT IS THAT CLIFFHANGER ENDING?

I need answers.

This book was better than the first! I love little DJ and reading about her journey through life! She is so ornery! The characters in the book are so lively and animated. I recommend this series to everyone! Adults and kids alike!

Dennis June is back and does NOT disappoint! Her entire character is a lesson in self-confidence and she has come so far from the five year old we met at the beginning of TIAD. As she grows, T.R. Prouty continues to masterfully juggle the expansive cast of characters that surrounds her and introduces exciting new characters to the mix. Lyle in particular is my new favorite.

Prouty puts her characters through a whole new gauntlet of crazy situations, from ruined Thanksgivings to a summer camp that had me rolling. Yet, through the hijinks and chaos, Prouty still tackles tricky topics. DJ's OCD is ever-present, though never named. It's not made into a "thing", but it's there, influencing her character and her actions, displaying a real-to-life depiction of neurodivergence.

Throughout the story, Prouty develops the friendship between DJ and Mama's Child with nuance and care, showcasing the ups and downs of childhood friendship. Despite the level of absurdity of some of the situations these kids find themselves in at times, the relationships that Prouty is growing between the characters feel real, raw, and nuanced.

At the end of TIAD, I was desperately hoping someone responsible would step in to help DJ, but by the time I reached 1D2D's cliffhanger ending, I was certain that DJ has grown into someone who doesn't need the help of anyone.

Y’all. This book is fucking crazy in the best way. The first book definitely left me feeling sad and hopeless about DJ’s life, especially how the people in it are so mean, but Book 2 goes in the exact opposite direction where Deniese Dumping June Tipper takes shit from no one. Not the terrible principle, not the aggravating kids she is surrounded by, and certainly not the likes of a certain new boy in her life.

The escapades of the Tipper Clan are really something else. I lost track of all of the children until we were reminded that Momma D had 25 whole kids - could literally never be me. But! Astoundingly! You never lose track of who the characters are. And there’s a butt ton of them. TR Prouty’s scope of the human experience and ability to capture the essence of each character through the lens of DJ Tipper is really something else.

I absolutely cannot wait for the next book, as DJ’s journey is only just beginning.

TR Prouty has done it again! I just want to hug and adopt this little girl . They might not even know she was missing with all the chaos going on. But really who is the father! The struggles of living with OCD and just wanting to be part of the popular crowd were through out the book, not to mention just “having enough of everything “ that is very relatable. I can’t wait for the next book.

Omgggg! This book was better than the first! As always it was soo chaotic and I was 100% here for it! This book covers DJs life up to age ten. She juggles new siblings, her friendship with mamas child and newly, crushes! I love getting to watch DJ grow and I can’t wait to continue to read these! I loved the new relationships she created and I love the potential friends to lovers being set in motion for DJs teen years (hopefully!). The demerits she got were out of control and some reasons for them were downright hilarious! The camp scenes were my favorite, the pranks got so out of control and I was literally LOLing! Please go check these out if u love middle grade, chaos, and if your a fan of ongoing family sagas!

The author sent me an ebook in exchange for an honest review. These books are a coming of age story narrated through the diary of DJ, where she writes about all the drama going on at Crab Cove. The book starts with her being 8 years old, and it’s clear how she changes all throughout the book. She’s a bit impulsive and if there’s trouble, she’s the one to blame, I literally couldn’t keep track of how many demerits she got at her school. DJ starts hanging out and having some new friends, trying different clubs, dealing with family and pets. It’s crazy, dramatic and over the top in the best way possible. It’s something that can’t be explained so you just might have to read it.

🦝 “𝑶𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆, 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒚, ‘𝑮𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒊’!” 🦝

Dennis June is back and causing trouble. I absolutely loved this book! I was already cracking up in the first chapter especially when Dennis June mentions that her bike was a birthday present from a gift giving gnome! 😂 I also really enjoyed the aspect that Dennis June went to buy more journals because her first journal tomorrow is another day was full, which is the title of the first book. It was a really fun feature to add. It makes it feel like you’re really reading her journals. Also key word being “journals”- does this mean that there’ll be more books? 😉

One of my favorite parts of this book is the group chat. I absolutely love how It feels like you’re reading gossip when you’re reading the group chat scenes because of the way they’re written and the font change!

The mom absolutely cracks me up when Dennis June asks for help, and her response was “when are they coming to arrest you?” I love how she is the perfect mixture of snobbish and ratchet. And the fact that she made everybody eat the foot cake on her birthday because she spent so much money on it.

Also will we ever find out if Broccoli’s back pain is real? I was also screaming at the fact that Dennis June was the reason that Broccoli Waltzer got sent to rehab.

And WHERE is Mrs. Sanchez?

It’s very refreshing in middle grade to see the author discussing adult topics such as hazing and discrimination. You get to experience them all through Dennis June‘s eyes where she doesn’t really know what they mean but she knows they’re wrong.

The good apple treat scene was one of my absolute favorites! I cannot believe that Dennis June took the good apple award right out of Mr McLoofin’s hand and ate it, screaming “my favorite!” This book is literally perfect for anybody who ever wanted to talk back when they were in school but were too scared, because now you get to see the main character talking back without having to suffer the consequences yourself.

I love all the hilariously unique insults that mamas child and Dennis June call each other during the food fight. And I really love how Dennis June gets carried away thinking that she is on Animal Planet.

Another thing that I have to add is that every time I hear someone say the word purple I automatically say I hate the color purple. I really don’t hate the color purple but after reading that so much, every time I hear it I have to say it.

Dennis June is so creative, and I absolutely loved her ultimate plan for revenge and how she planned it and wouldn’t tell us what it was because she was fearful that someone would read her journal. I cannot believe that she literally froze her mom’s bedroom. I love how Deniese interrogates Bobby. She even put the lamp on his face when she’s doing it.

I can’t believe that Dennis June went to kiss Marcus Delon and ended up kissing Lyle. Scandalous! The best part was that he made finger guns afterwards 😂 I totally ship it!

I really hope that the author continues to make camp scenes because those were the absolute funniest part of the book. I love all the chaos and trouble that the girls get into-especially riding the ceiling fan!

I can’t believe Dennis June finally got rabies!

My heart was breaking that Lyle liked DJ and she straight up turned him down.

WHAT IS CHEAP LEATHER?!

I really enjoyed all of the new characters that came halfway through the book. And the wedding scene was absolutely hysterical. I really loved how Dennis June is showing early signs of feminism.

And what in the fried corn cob is that cliffhanger?!
