Have you ever picked up an interesting novel, maybe even one from a Christian author, only to find that halfway through, you have been exposed to more and more lewd content?

I have.

When I reached my teenage years and graduated to the full-length novels of the adult world, I was eager to take in all of the drama and romance there was to read. I tried to stay in the realm of "Christian" novels, thinking I would be safe, and yet, book after book found me endangering my soul just to read them.

That was when I had enough.

Loving God more than books, but knowing the two were not opposed to one another, I hit a breaking point one day. After throwing those books away (literally, a whole set of once-beloved WWII romance books went in the trash), I truly began my quest. I realized that God had given me this love for story, with all its depth and nuance, so that I might give others what I could not find--a book that honors God, without sacrificing entertainment.

Few and far between are such books as this. Such forthcoming cleanliness regarding the more thematic material, only capable of being written by one who truly understands the magnitude and complexity of true beauty.
