Book #1: Entered in the Alien Bride Lottery

There are a million ways to end up in the Alien Bride Lottery. But it takes only one.

Every unmarried female human over the age of 21 gets entered once a year. You can also accept extra entries for legal infractions—instead of paying a parking fine, for example, you can request an extra entry. Lots of women do that. I mean, why not? The chances are astronomical that your name will get chosen to be one of the hundred or so women who get shipped off to space every year.

And even if your name is drawn, the odds are slim that you’ll match up with an alien who’s looking for a mate. Most of the lottery-drawn women come back to Earth every year and resume their lives as if nothing changed. But some don’t. And no matter what, getting drawn in the Lottery means you have to compete in the Bride Games. Guess that's where I'm heading now. I only hope I can avoid catching the eye of one of the giant, rainbow-hued brutes whose mission is to protect Earth—and who can claim me as a mate. All because I was Entered in the Alien Bride Lottery…

Book #2: Captured for the Alien Bride Lottery

I refused to be in the Bride Lottery—so now I’m a runaway bride.

Somehow, I knew my name was going to be drawn in the Bride Lottery—the hellish agreement that Earth’s leaders had made to sell us to the aliens who protected our planet. I’d grown up with the propaganda. It was our civic duty. Men registered for the draft, women registered for the Bride Lottery. No way in hell was I going to be handed over to some giant man to be brutalized into bearing his children. Instead, I cut out my bio-tracker and walked away from everything. I should have realized they’d send one of those hulking, brightly colored aliens to track me down and bring me back. Never did I expect that he’d be devastatingly attractive. Or that we’d have to go on the run from the evil Horde trying to destroy both our planets. Now that we’re together, can I ever run away again? And could he really hand me over to the Bride Games to be taken by another warrior? Because I think I might be falling in love…

Book #3: Claimed for the Alien Bride Lottery

I thought I’d escaped being given to an alien warrior. I was wrong.

I was one hour away from washing out of the Alien Bride Games. None of the Khanavai warriors had chosen me, and I was scheduled on the next shuttle off the filming station. But then a bright red alien passed me in a hallway—and the next thing I knew, we were all over each other. Bad enough that my name had been drawn in the Bride Lottery. Now, even though they’re supposedly over, I’m back in the Games. And not the usual ones, either—a whole new set of challenges, just for me. Guess it’ll make for good television back home. I just hope I can resist him long enough to get back to Earth, to the people I love. And that I can keep him from learning my most desperate secret. The odds aren’t looking good, though…

PLUS:
Book #3.5: Christmas for the Alien Bride Lottery
When Lola graduates from college a semester early, she’s left without a job or even any real prospects. She takes a holiday position working as a Christmas Elf at the local mall, only to learn to loathe all things Christmas. So when her name is drawn for the Alien Bride Lottery’s new “Holiday Special,” she’s almost relieved. Until she meets Valtin, the Khanavai warrior who has decided to make her his own. He’s fascinated with human holiday traditions, especially Christmas. Can a cranky Christmas Elf and an overeager alien male find the magic of the season together?

An interesting concept riddled with problems. Besides some spelling and continuity errors, and mixing up characters a couple times, this would have greatly benefitted from a sensitivity reader. The misgendering of one species and calling the non-binary characters “it” is entirely unacceptable. This is sensitivity and common decency 101 yet this author wasn’t able to manage to make that part of the writing process.

I really like this series. Each book is about a human woman and a Khanavai man, while the overall story arc (so far) is about how the Alien Bride Lottery works and the reasons why these two races agreed to it. The stories are all fast-paced, hilarious, sexy and fun sci-fi romances. I can't help but think this book series is a bit satirical. Rather than sound serious and depressing, this is a comedy kind of satire.

Entered in the Alien Bride Lottery:

Natalie, the female main character, is a college student. Cav, the male main character, is a soldier. They both start out not wanting to get married - or mated - but they are required to play their parts in the Bride Games. I love how Natalie tries to play to lose. Of course, this is a romance, so we all know how that is going to turn out!

I thoroughly enjoyed how the two cultures clash, while also highlighting the male dominated Khanavai and human aspects of "culture." I'm also impressed with the commentary on reality tv. While I laughed out loud at Natalie's hijinks, I also cheered her on for standing up for herself. I liked her short but sweet tirades on things like spanking, misogyny, and what we consider "pasta."

** Spoiler-ish Section! **
I was surprised by Natalie completely changing her mind at one point. She was ready to throw away her future, it seemed, but she redeemed herself to me at the end.

Captured for the Alien Bride Lottery:

This book has all the funny, exciting, and sexy action of the first book. There's more of the fun, light look at things that was in book one. There is some insta-love on the male main character's side. I still see some satirical humor, as well as some nods to other alien romance novels. While nobody is really abducted, as the title of the book indicates, someone is captured.

While the first book had a female main character who tried to play to lose the Bride Games, this one has a FMC who goes on the run to try to avoid the Bride Games. The title is a total spoiler, so I don't feel bad at all about saying Amelia's attempt to escape doesn't succeed. I was rooting for her, anyway. I thoroughly enjoyed how she was determined to escape what she considered an awful fate. I love how she detests marriage! I kind of wish that she had succeeded, but then it wouldn't be an alien romance.

It's interesting how this lottery idea is used for a romantic comedy, when it sounds like it comes from a horror story or a dystopian novel. There are times when Amelia describes her perception of what the human "brides" must go through, and it definitely sounds like the author considered making this series more of a dark sci-fi series. Having said that, this is mostly a comedy. Zont and Amelia are a cute couple. I really did have fun reading this. I wish it had been a little longer, though. It felt like a scene or three could have been added.

Claimed for the Alien Bride Lottery:

This book has all the funny, exciting, and sexy action of the previous two books. There's still a heavy lean towards the romance part of the story, but this one has more of the Alveron Horde's attack on the Bride Games on Station 21. I have so many questions now, and I hope the next book will have some answers.

I love how each book is more exciting than the last. The storyline for this book was a fun read, but there is plenty of drama with the attack on the station and Mia's secret/past. I like how the female main character, Mia, is African-American, but there isn't much focus on the shade of her skin. Her Groom is bright red, so her skin tone seems insignificant. I enjoyed seeing some of the events of the previous two stories from Mia and Eldron's points of view. I especially liked learning more about the Alverons.

While I would still consider this a rom-com and sci-fi romance, I'm also still suspicious of the Lottery and the Bride Games. I like how Eldron explains why the Khanavai started the Lottery and Games. What I don't understand is why nobody on Earth told them the game show is not how most humans find their spouses.

There's lots of other stuff that I want to know about: The black market for changing out the tracking/translation chips, who is in charge, and why? Is there an underground resistance to the alien invasion/protection? Who is on the take at the station? (I suspect that's how the Horde and/or Frank made their appearances.) What is the Horde up to with tracking human Brides? What's the real deal with that extra... appendage the Grooms have? Shouldn't humans know what they're getting themselves into before the Games? What happened to previous Brides and Grooms? Is the Prince who started this stuff still alive?

Christmas for the Alien Bride Lottery:

This story is a fun, silly take on Earth's traditions and a fast-burn romance. I haven't read the other books in the Lottery series yet, but I am going to. I feel like I've only had a small taste, and I want more. This story is like a dating game reality television show, but with a human woman and an alien male.

I like how Lola starts out kinda hating Xmas. Valtin loves humans and wants to know more about this holiday. The humor throughout the story kept me going. Before I knew it, the story was over. I thoroughly enjoyed these two as well as the supporting characters. I'm excited to read the full-length novels so that I can understand more about the alien species.

Each story has several typos. I didn't mind - the typos were sometimes laugh out loud funny.

This is a great collection of alien romance books. There were some grammatical errors but the stories were good. Each one had a different personality and feel to it.

***Entered in the Alien Bride Lottery (Read 05/08/22)***

I really enjoyed this story. The Khanavai are a race of warriors. They have been at war with the Alveron Horde for a long time. At some point in the past the Alveron poisoned the Khanavai with a chemical that made it impossible for their females to birth baby girls. After learning that the human woman of earth was genetically and physically compatible with the Khanavai males, the Khanavai agreed to protect the humans from the Alverons subjecting them to the same fate. However, in return for their protection, the earth government agreed to offer up their women as potential mates. Now there is a yearly lottery, king of like the military draft, where woman's names are drawn. Each woman's name is entered once. However, if a woman gets in trouble, she can choose to have her name entered more than once instead of paying fines and such. If their name is drawn, they compete in the bride games. Think Hunger Games for mating except none of the games are fighting to the death. There are interviews, pageants, and a spanking ceremony. Yes, I said a spanking ceremony. If the woman is chosen as a mate by one of the males, she still has the choice to refuse. However, it would cast her in a bad light as it is seen as her civic duty to mate with the one who chooses her as their mate, if they are deemed genetically compatible.

In this story we meet Cav, the Khanavai warrior, and Natalie, the human. Natalie has just turned 21 and is in the bride lottery for the first time. She only has one entry in the lottery, yet she is chosen. The moment they meet, Cav decides she is meant to be his. Natalie isn't determined to lose at all costs so she can return to earth. Her ploy to lose only backfires and makes her more desirable to some of the Khanavai. Ultimately, Natalie and Cav must both decide what is most important to them.

Their story is very entertaining, and I really enjoyed it. Tiziani was a total asshat. I think he got his just due in the end, though. Well done to the author. I look forward to reading the next story.

***Captured for the Alien Bride Lottery (Read 05/09/22)***

In this Bride Lottery story, we get to read along as Zont, the Special Ops guy we met in the first book who befriended Cav, goes back to earth to chase the runaway bride, Amelia. Amelia doesn't want any part of the Bride Lottery, nor does she want to marry one of the Khanavai warriors. In fact, she doesn't even want to marry a human man. Being a surgeon, she has the necessary skills needed to remove her tracker/translator chip. At the beginning when the government of both planets signed the treaty, it was required that all earthlings got tracker chips embedded behind their ear under the skin. Amelia, feeling like her luck of never being chosen for the games has finally run out, removes her chip before her name is called. Then she cuts and dyes her hair before jumping on the first greyhound headed out of Las Vegas. She figures with a bit of a head start she can safely and successfully escape her fate. However, Zont is a very skilled tracker, and he's not the only Khanavai male hunting her. Bounty hunters are now involved after an award was offered for her capture and return. Zont saves her from the hunters only to be attacked by the Alveron Horde. After successfully escaping both groups, they go on a cross country trip together, heading back to Las Vegas to save Zont's team who were also attacked.

There's more that happens, but I don't want to ruin the whole story. Just know that it a fun filled exciting adventure with plenty of danger and romance blended throughout. I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to reading the next story.

***Claimed for the Alein Bride Lottery (Read 05/22/22)***

I am really enjoying this series. The female characters don't fall all over themselves or become simpering idiots in the face of the males. They try like hell to stay true to what they want and not cave to the wants and whims of the men. I like that. The men, even as warrior minded as they are, they still try to woo the women. Even if some of their ways are unusual, they still try. I like that, the give and take of the characters.

In this story we go through the journey with Eldron, the red Khanavai male we met in Natalie's story, and Mia, the girl we see for just a moment after Cav and Tiziani's duel. Eldron didn't enter the bride games to find a mate, he went there because he suspected an attack from the Alveron Horde. However, meet his mate he did. Mia has a lot of secrets, some that are life and death kind of secrets, and she is desperate to return to earth, but she is also drawn to the Red Khanavai male that swept her off her feet moments before she was sent home to earth.

These two have a very romantic, heartwarming type of story and I really enjoyed it. I like that the author allowed both characters to be truthful about their feelings to themselves as well as to the readers. It made them a lot more relatable and lovable.

Well done to the author. I'm looking forward to continuing the journey through this series.

***Christmas for the Alien Bride Lottery (Read 05/22/22)***

I liked this short story in the Aline Bride Lottery series. It a short, sweet, festive addition to the series, featuring a Khanavai warrior named Valtin who is obsessed with the human Christmas holiday, and a human female named Lola, who is the exact opposite. Despite this minor setback, the two find pleasure, security and happiness with one another.

This story also ends with the perfect setup for the next story in the series. Well done to the author on this first season of the A.B.L series. I'm looking forward to reading the next part.

This set has books 1-3 and a bonus Christmas story of the Alien Bride Lottery series. Enjoyed all of the stories!

Entered in the Alien Bride Lottery - Book 1

Light hearted and fun! Love alien romances, so I’m all on bored for that! Plus, I love the mates scenario too! The bride lottery idea didn’t quite draw me in, but I like what this author did with it. Human Natalie gets chosen in the bride lottery, and she is very unhappy about it. She does not want to leave Earth and marry some random alien, so she is going to do whatever she can to not be chosen. Alien Cav wasn’t exactly excited to be one of the aliens choosing a bride, but once he sees Natalie, he knows he wants her bad. Natalie’s desire to return to Earth, and other suitors cause problems. Natalie has some good sass! Cav is a sweetheart! Good chemistry and passion between them! Entertaining short read; excited to get the other alien’s stories! Enjoyed this whole story!

Captured for the Alien Bride Lottery - Book 2

Another fun one! Amelia ran away from the alien bridal lottery; Zont sees her and knows she’s his mate, so he heads to Earth to find her. That’s the least of the problems for Zont and Amelia though. Enemies of both cause more issues than expected. All the while, Zont is trying to convince Amelia that being a hot pink alien’s mate is a good thing.

Sweet, passionate connection between Amelia and Zont! She’s sassy and smart; fights for what she wants. Zont is a total sweetie! I get where Amelia is coming from in regards to the alien bridal lottery; too many secrets surrounding it for humans, and too much pomp and circumstance. Hopefully, things will be handled better for the humans as the series progresses; there’s some interesting ways the story could go. I really enjoy alien romances! Love the whole fated mates scenario! Entertaining!!

Claimed for the Alien Bride Lottery - Book 3

I love the alien bridal lottery setup, and all the fun colors of the aliens. This series has been great! This one features red skinned alien, Eldron, who is undercover at the bridal games because there’s a possible enemy attack in the works. He doesn’t expect to really find his mate, but surprise, he does. Mia doesn’t want to be part of the bridal games; she has some secrets and a bad past, so she just wants to get back to Earth. She’s almost on her way home, but in the last minute, she meets Eldron. They are quickly drawn together, but Mia’s secrets cause strife. I wasn’t a fan of Mia; I don’t like that she’s intimate with Eldron, but continues to lie to him. She’s okay, I just didn’t connect with her or her situation. I didn’t quite feel the love between them. Eldron is great though. The romance does have some steam, and they are sweet with each other. I enjoyed the bits of action too.

Christmas for the Alien Bride Lottery - Novella

Cute short read that takes place during Christmas time for an Alien Bride Lottery Christmas special! Lola was working as Santa’s elf at the Mall when she’s beamed up to join the Alien Bride Games. Immediate connection between Valtin and Lola, but there’s a possible problem with another mate option. Enjoyed the Christmas fun!

(Disclaimer: This review is a copy-and-paste overall for all books in this series. Rather than touch on each book separately and reveal spoilers, I will keep my review basic.)

Who knew that I had an alien kink? I sure didn’t. I started reading alien romance novels after being bored af with vampire romances. Now, here we are, and I can’t get enough.

I am obsessed with this author, and I am obsessed with their (her?) books in this series!

Similar alien romance stories tend to have a little too much action for my liking. I think these books have struck the perfect balance, providing more sex and romance than the action.

Earth has agreed to provide brides for the aliens via a lottery system (similar to a war draft) in exchange for protection against a massive solar threat. Each year, a select number of women are sent into space to possibly be chosen as an alien bride. The entire ordeal is televised, similar to “The Bachelorette” Earth tv program. But without the rose ceremony.

I fell in love with the tense buildup leading to the mate bond. The idea that these aliens are able to sense “the one“ based off their scent alone, really flips my switch for some reason. Instead of love at first sight, it’s love at first smell. I enjoy the variety in that the Khanavai warriors come in all colors of the rainbow. I love that the author has also incorporated different races and sizes of the human mates; Not everyone is a 22 year old, size 2, white girl with big boobs. Love it!

Downsides? Books are too short. Could use a little more character development. Often feels a little rushed. After looking at the upcoming releases and their dates, that’s exactly what’s happening; these books are being rushed. The author needs more time to perfect her craft (IMHO).

Being caught up in the series, I am anxiously waiting for the next books to come out. Yes please! A must read.

This was my first read by Margo, I love a good alien sci fi read - this was just that, a good, entertaining, witty, and fun read!

I am reviewing the first book in this set, Entered in the Alien Bride Lottery:

Earth has agreed to send human women to be brides for the alien race of Khanavai in return for their protection against an enemy horde - this horde being responsible for the Khanavai only producing male children due to chemical warfare, and so the human women who are a good match to the Khanavai's are needed to repopulate their species. Every woman over the age of 21 is entered into the draw which is televised around the world.

Natalie has just turned 21, she is a college student, and this is her first draw - never did she expect to get picked and is whisked away without further ado to take part in the games. She is not happy about it in the slightest and is determined to lose and get sent back to earth.

Cav is the male Khanavai picked to take part in the Bride Games as a prospective Groom and match for a human bride. He is a soldier and not looking to get married. That is until he meets Natalie, and he then knows she is a perfect match for him.

The Games are split into different parts where the human female is dressed, paraded, and interviewed to see if she would be a good match to any of the males, but the real match is based on their DNA. It's very much like a gameshow and the brides and grooms must participate in whatever the host decides.

I enjoyed how the different participants clashed, how Natalie played to lose but ultimately ended up winning and her description of Banana man had me laughing out loud. Cav was a lovely dominant alien whose protector instincts came out as soon as he met Natalie, he was determined to make her happy even if it meant losing her.

A playful fun, witty alien read.

A fun series and take on aliens and their human brides.

Entered in the Alien Bride Lottery
This is a story that mixed reality tv and alien brides together to make a story that was rather fun to read. I laughed quite a few times. The characters were a hoot and I really want to read the next books in the series to see what happens to the secondary characters introduced here. And see if Natalie and Cav show up again as they were a hoot. It was a bit steamy but not not too bad. Just a fun entertaining read.

Captured for the Alien Bride Lottery
I thought this story was a blast to read. Add in a human girl who refuses to join the bride lottery and a Special Ops guy who wants her and you get a fun read. Add in some danger and reoccurring characters from the other stories and I was vastly amused the whole time. I liked the simple plot and the main characters.

Claimed for the Alien Bride Lottery
Another entertaining story about the bride lottery. This time it is about Mia and of course things are not what they seem. Cute, fun read that made me laugh. Happy Mia and her alien ended up together and had their happy ending. Another good story in the series.

This was a light reading. It had moments of humor especially the banana incident. Those aliens are something else. I wish we had some in our world. The whole idea of a lottery was a good idea. It made these stories different. It was an credibly hot experience and I was sad to come to the ending. I can't wait to read the new book coming out soon. I highly recommend them to the genre lovers. Enjoy!!!

Full disclosure, I could not get through the entire book, nor even the first story, and gave up after about 50 pages or so. There is nothing new here, plot-wise. The aliens have a spanking ceremony for their brides (along with a sucking ceremony, too. Literally.) Those are what the bride games are.

The plot details are very straightforward and unimaginative. I would not recommend this book to others.

I decided to stop reading these after number #3

The dynamics of the story was too sappy to believe. The asshole gets her thrown into prison because he's a hormonally driven selfish prick. And she forgives within maybe the 4th time they interact. While supposedly being infuriated by his completely selfish manipulative BS.

The Alien Bride Lottery 1-3

Got this as a freebie and thought it would go in the trash, not expecting much.
However, I was pleasantly surprised how entertaining it was.
The multi-colored aliens and anatomy parts were comical, but added to the storyline.
Now I'm ready to purchase the next books in the series.
Quite enjoyable.

Very cool characters and good storylines kept me reading. If you enjoy your aliens big and yummy types then look no further. Also you get the first 3, well really 4 with the bonus short, stories in one package. That's something I truly love. I would definitely recommend.

bright colourful aliens

Starting to read, it reminded me of other books, I groaned but carried on waiting to find the “thing” that made it different!
It’s there, subtle but there, and as the series went on it veered away from the others!

Not a bad set of books if you forget all the others like it 🙄

I thoroughly enjoyed every one of these Khanavai Warrior Alien bride stories, the heros were honorable, intelligent, and gorgeous and the villains were underhanded and dastardly. The fact that all of the aliens were similar but, different vivid colors added so much to the visual effect. Don't miss this adventure. It was a blast!!!!!

Smell this!

Okay, smell plays a big part of the mating games. The three stories and bonus follow the same timeline overlapping in some areas, but make for an enjoyable read. The couples are unique and have their own troubles. I'm still not a fan of reality TV, but this is another interesting idea.

Wow

These alien guys are not just big, built, sexy but, also kind. Kindness is not a trait often associated with warriors. I this case they are so taken with their fated mates that they act with great kindness.

Temptation Island meets Ice Planet Barbarians

It's very stupid and poorly written. Amelia's plot is the only one that is actually good. The interloping of the timelines didn't do it any justice because you had entire cut and paste scenes.

The Khanavai would be so interesting to meet since they are all different colors. The bride games are hilarious, aliens just don't understand human women. Great action too, to keep the books moving along.
