A story of brothers who find adventure at every turn. Their tale is at times both frightening and endearing as it draws you into their adventures, their home and their small community, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Offering a nostalgic look at life as it was lived in the 1950's and 1960's, the story follows five brothers through evolving relationships as the world takes on new perspectives.
I grew up on the same street as the author and remember his family. The book was signed to my parents. It was a lovely accounting of a tiny community in Michigan back in a time far removed from today’s life. These brothers’ adventures were great fun to read about. Mostly, though, I loved the story of their brotherhood; what it meant, what it taught them, and how it shaped them as people. Thanks for sharing, Dan. I was born in 1955, so I didn’t know you and your brothers much. But I remember your parents and the Ben Franklin fondly. 💖
