Ian Strang is an independent writer and artist. He lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife Cheryl, his daughter Violet and many houseplants. THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS is his first published novel. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from California State University Long Beach, which to this day no one has ever asked to see. Ian works in the film industry as a lighting technician and rigging electrician. He also wrote a sequel to The Grand Scheme of Things entitled THE INFINITE BLUE YONDER. Ian just finished his third novel called THE HOUSE OF BRANDYWINE, which is about Chester Brandywine, the only son of Queen Gwendolyn, who suffers from crippling anxiety and severe depression, amongst many other psychological and physical maladies. One day he happens to meet the famous actor Stuntley Finchington and the two men embark on an unusual journey of discovery that includes assassination attempts, an aging movie star who loves afterparties, a protracted war with a family of ground squirrels and an obsession with the state bird of Utah. All of this leads to the revelation that his mother, the Queen, has been trying to have him killed.
