AMAZING!!
I loved the banter between Brooke and Anders. These two were made for each other. And their sex scenes.....sooooo HOT!!! This book flowed perfectly from the first page all the way to the end. I laughed. I cried. I swooned. I even got very irritated with Brooke's best friend. I wanted to reach into the book myself and slap her. Ugh! Brooke's mom will even make you laugh with her no filter mouth. You will laugh out loud often. Don't miss this amazing, phenomenal, must read book. Eva hit this one out of the park!

Another hilarious book in the Fall of Fame series. So you know the books can be read as standalones but they are all so romantic and funny, I highly recommend them all.
Screwball kept me in stitches, well when I wasn’t smiling at the romantic steamy moments that is. Anders and Brooke meet in a bar where the Yankee players hang out (Anders is a pitcher for the Yanks). As for Brooke, she is also a pitcher for the USA women’s team. They hit it off and their banter is amazing. When Brooke let’s it slip she needs a date for her parents vow renewal, Anders offers to fill in as her fake date. They have both put the other safely in the friend-zone so Brooke agrees.
But does what happens at a wedding, or in this case a vow renewal, always stay put?
Again, I can’t recommend the 3 Hall of Fames books enough. RomComs at their very best!!!!

Hilarious take on a fake relationship
Eva Haining has done it again with SCREWBALL, book #3 in her HALL OF FAME series. Once again, it is a standalone with in the series, so you don't have to read the others before you read this one, but I highly recommend that you do. Humour, drama, a bit of angst, tension, and some VERY HOT SEXY moments, all traits of Eva's writing find their way into this story about two champions of baseball. Anders Verbeck and Brooke Lexington were simply perfect for each other ... even though their relationship was meant to be fake ... or was it?

Anders Verbeck and Brooke Lexington meet by chance in a local bar that is a hangout place for all the Yankees players. Their first meeting doesn't exactly follow the normal rules, no outrageous flirting and something that is definitely unexpected. From this meeting Anders and Brooke develop an easy-going friendship with wonderful banter and some friendly antics. But Brooke has a secret ... she needs a date for her parent's wedding vow renewal celebration. Anders offers himself as her date ... and so the fun and the fake relationship begins.

From the very beginning Brooke and Anders have a sizzling hot chemistry, and their desire for one another is palpable. Unfortunately, they've locked one another into the "friendzone". Or have they? From the locker scene in shapter one, through to the Epilogue, Ms. Haining kept me thoroughly entertained. There were so many laugh out loud moments that i lost count. The banter between Anders and Brooke was hilarious, throw in Linc, Anders' best friend, and his brilliant one-liners (that man so needs his own book), and finally Brooke's mum and her lack of a filter when it came to anything sexual, all make SCREWBALL an absolute pleasure to read.
Definitely one of Eva Haining's best.

Screwball is a fun, sexy sports rom-com and features two professional baseball players at the top of their games.
Anders has just won the World Series and is pitching better than he's ever had in his life. He's living the playboy lifestyle because why not? He's young, hot and super successful except underneath all that he's a great guy who seems to have forgotten that he did want to find someone who understands him enough that he'd want to stick around for the long run.
Lucky for Anders the first girl he's interested in during his night of debauchery is none other than Brooke Lexington. Heavy hitter for the USA Women's baseball team and the highest paid female in baseball in the USA. Unlucky for him, she's nursing her PMS blues and not interested. That's not to say she didn't leave a lasting impression though.
This book is full of world class banter, likeable characters and off the charts chemistry. This is the best kind of friends to lovers story. One where the MC's are equals who don't question their interest in the other except they still have to figure out how to fit together in a lasting way.
Brooke and Anders are my favourite couple of the series! Pick up Screwball today and you'll be laughing and loving them in no time at all! xx

Holy Smokes! Don't get me wrong, I loved Faith from Fumble, and her love story with Hunter was so much fun. But honestly, I have to say Anders and Brooke are my favorite couple by Eva. They are absolutely perfect for each other. I laughed so hard at several scenes in this book (most involving Brooke's mother) and got very po'd at the so-called bunny boiler. Anders' BFF, Linc, was such a manwhore. It's going to be so entertaining to watch his fall. But focusing on Brooke and Anders, they were just adorable.
Anders, who is perfectly content in his single status, did not plan on encountering the very drunk but super talented female baseball player Brooke. Both are at the top of their respective games, and the attraction is immediate even when Brooke throws up all over him. And so begins a super fun romp as they grow in respect, friendship, and love. GAH, I loved this story. So many great scenes, but you need to read this book for yourself. The steam is excellent. The love story is super sublime. And I have a feeling we might get to see Linc get taken out by Brooke's MMA fighter sister. *rubs hands together in gleeful anticipation*

Hotshot baseball player, who doesn't just play the ball field, meets an equally hotshot female ball player. For Anders, he is instantly wanting to share a moment with Brooke, but Brooke doesn't exactly feel the same way. After Anders proves that he is one of those rare good guys, the two end up being friends, but Brooke needs more. She needs a fake boyfriend for her parents wedding, and Anders is just the one to help her out. What starts out as a fake thing turns very real, very fast. But was crossing that line a bad thing? Should they have just stayed friends without benefits?
I just found this author, and I can promise this will not be the last I read from her. I really enjoyed this story; funny bits, hot naughty moments, some really nicely done drama, and a cast of characters (I am really hoping for her sister to get with Linc) that have you wanting more. I give this 4 stars.

I love sports so much, so I absolutely love sports romance but even better, I love sports romance with a heroine who is playing ball as well. Anders is an ace for the Yankees at the top of his game so there's no shortage of women for him. However, the moment he comes face to face with Brooke, his world shifts. She's a talented baseball player in her own right as she plays for the USA women's baseball team, and I LOVED her so much. She has a problem, she needs a fake boyfriend for a family wedding, and Anders takes that spot, but the sparks are flying so there's nothing fake about it. It's only a matter of time before those sparks ignited, and when they did, all bets were off. And don't let me forget to say how hilarious it all was! Will Anders & Brooke actually figure out that they're perfect for each other for a happily ever after?! You know what to do to find out as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This book had me had romcom and sports romance. What I really loved about this book going in was both characters are accomplished baseball players. This book had me laughing right off the bat. I'm not gonna lie Anders had me skeptical on my opinion of him, but he quickly won me over. Brooke's visit meeting with Anders is quite memorable to say the least. I loved the budding friendship that came of it though. You can tell instantly that they have an easy comfort with one another. I loved Brooke's parents especially her mom. She's so inappropriate, but in such a lovable way. She had me in stitches with her antics. This book took a turn I didn't see coming. I gasped with what went on. Brooke and Anders are going to be tested in this one. This is a fun read that brings that laughs along with the serious moments. The end of the book and the epilogue were the perfect touches!

This was a really good read! The writing flowed well from the start, and I loved Brooke and Anders together. Brooke was a strong heroine, and I loved that! Anders was a genuinely good guy, and he was all about Brooke. There was lots of laugh out loud moments in this one. Brooke's mom was hilarious and I loved their relationship. Linc messed up a time or two, but in the end he was there for Anders. Lacy was a complete wacko, and I was glad that Brooke finally saw what had been in front of her face the whole time. The ending was perfect for these two, and I couldn't have been happier with it. This was a first for me from this author, but it definitely won't be my last!

Grabbed my interest with Anders as a major league pitcher for the Yankees and caught me with Brooke being a star player of the women's baseball team. this book had some of my favorite troupes. Sports. friends to lovers, fake romance and fun.
The first official meeting was not exactly cute but kind of funny and awkward. The book continues with more funny dialogue. the character are fun and easy to like. Add steam and you have a good book that will make you smile. the side characters also added to the fun. Brooke's mom made me laugh at first meet.
Brooke is under pressure to settle down. she uses her friend Anders as a date to get her through her parent vow renewal. What could go wrong, after all they are just friends.

What a story! It has humor and drama. It pulled me in to the point I couldn’t put it down. I just had to find out what happened between Andersen and Brooke. They have such chemistry that is felt throughout the story. It is extremely well written and the characters are stunningly beautiful. They have amazing personalities. Then the support characters. Goodness, I love Brooke’s mom. She had me roaring with laughter. I know this is part of the Hall of Fame series but it was most certainly able to read as a standalone and you do not feel like you should have had read the others first. It is one amazing story that is an absolute must read.

A good book with a few twists and turns.
Anders is a playboy baseball player, he works hard and plays hard with his best friend and teammate Linc.
Brooke is also a baseball player, trying to get the woman’s game more recognised. When the two meet on a night out, it doesn’t go according to plan, and although Anders takes Brooke home, it’s not in the way he planned.
There is an attraction between them but neither wants anything serious - or do they? When Brooke needs a date to her parents vow renewal, Anders jumps at the chance. Things are going well for them, that is until a psycho friend decides to ruin everything! Can Anders and Brooke work through things or have they lost each other forever.

Obviously this author is not for me
So let’s start with the cover, which is terrible, that should have been my first clue. I guess I’m old so I don’t understand the banter with each other or her mother. Do people really talk about sex constantly? Because I’ve never had conversations with friends and the opposite sex like these two do. Let’s discuss the slutness on both of them. Major turn off. Then the best friend, dear god, I know you needed a conflict but she dresses her up as a goddess to entice him and then goes crazy? Just no. Never again with this author. It must be geared toward raunchy YA crowd.

This is Anders and Brooke’s story. Anders is the star Yankees pitcher, while Brooke is a star batter for the women’s baseball team, and when she needs a fake boyfriend for a few days for her parent’s wedding, Anders is her choice. What starts off as fake becomes real very quickly. This is a beautifully written fun story, which is filled with emotions, drama, witty banter, a tad angst, and is a steamy, entertaining, and humorous all-consuming page turner. I loved this amazing story and look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Fake relationship sports romance
I mostly loved this book. I liked the storyline and characters. Loads of chemistry. Only a couple of things. They were in their heads a lot. Once the relationship got physical, it was constant. So lots of steamtoy times or talking about steamy times. I loved how Anders put himself out there. Great book boyfriend. The summary covers basics.
Standalone with no cliffhanger or cheating. Lots of steam and some language. Told from H and h POV. Ends with HEA.
I mostly loved this book. I liked the storyline and characters. Loads of chemistry. Only a couple of things. They were in their heads a lot. Once the relationship got physical, it was constant. So lots of steamtoy times or talking about steamy times. I loved how Anders put himself out there. Great book boyfriend. The summary covers basics.
Standalone with no cliffhanger or cheating. Lots of steam and some language. Told from H and h POV. Ends with HEA.

Loved Brooke and Anders. What an absolute fun read. Brooke needs a favor and Anders is just the guy for the job. Sounds easy, but fake is never easy, ever. They are just friends and nothing more, it can’t happen, but what happens when reality sneaks in and you are faced with something more real and solid than you ever expected? I love this series, the characters are amazing and they just keep getting better and better.

An entertaining romance read!
A feel good romance must read! Anders was flying high when he meets Brooke. From the first meeting she made a good impression and when they agreed on a fake relationship all he be able to make her believe it for real. This was a fun read with a cute storyline and very likable characters tha5 will keep you entertained from start to finish. If your a fan of sports romance with a side of romantic comedy than this is a one click for you.

Anders and Brooke have let’s just say an interesting first meeting. Brooke was everything that Anders didn’t know he was looking for in a woman. In fact he wasn’t looking for a relationship, but when you know you know. They get their happy ending after a hiccup I guess one can say happens. This one is funny for the most part with some drama thrown in. I couldn’t put it down though I had to because of work and sleep, lol.

New to me author, and I really enjoyed this book. Would’ve been 5 stars but I thought the reconciliation was a bit bizarre. First Brooke sees the tape and doesn’t contact Anders? And then Brooke leaves her parents’ house determined to get Anders back but when he shows up, she wants to slam the door in his face? I was so confused, but at least it was a small part of the book. Otherwise I liked this a lot and will read more by this author.

This is now my current favorite book. I loved Brooke and Anders so much. There’s a few things I would love to say but I can’t because I don’t want to spoil anything. This is number 3 in the hall of fame series and I really hope there’s more.

This was a very fun read that had a very big heart. I thought Brooke and Anders were quite likable and as a couple they were a real home run. The laughter, sparks and feels are all abundant as the smartly written storyline unfolds and if you are anything like me, you will turn the last page feeling swoony and with a huge smile on your face. I am posting an independent, impartial review.

I love Brooke and Anders! Their fake relationship to real relationship had me captivated from the first page. Their friendship was so fun to watch develop and then when feelings got mixed in, it was even better. I loved this story. So many laughs, so much passion and even a little heartbreak. This story was a hit!

This book was everything I hoped for and soooo much more. Next to no sleep to consume as much as possible in as short a time as possible <3 Eva smashed it put off the park.
I love the little fumble references . I adore when books crossover like this😍

Find yourself a man who loves you more than baseball. And if he just so happens to have won the World Series, has charm and good looks, and a killer screwball thrown, then grab him quick. Definitely do not let fears, doubts or outright lies change your emotions. Anders and Brooke's story is funny, crazy and thoroughly entertaining.
