RULES ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN… OR ARE THEY?

THE CIRCLE, a shadow organization of cold-blooded killers, has thrived for almost a century—long before Doug Goodwin ever set foot into the VIP parlor of Tasker’s Bar.

The Circle maintains its clandestine status through compulsory bylaws carrying harsh penalties, exacting their own brand of justice on any member that dares question their methods.

Throughout the Circle’s illustrious history, only a select few have ever violated those sacred rules.

Those members became . . . LEGENDS of the CIRCLE

GREAT book! After reading the first book, I dived right into this one. Loved how it gave a bit of a backstory to some of the characters in the 1st book, as well as how it melted together flawlessly to link the books together by the ending. Absolutely flawless and thrilling!

Last year I read The Circle (loved it) and was so excited to read the prequel unfolding the story of how it all began. I enjoyed getting to know how The Circle came to be and the legends that have come from it. What makes legends?! Members that tend to walk on the dangerous side.

This series' storyline is so well thought out and so well developed. I especially enjoyed the historical elements that were sprinkled throughout, but with The Circle's take on them. We traveled all over too, since there are separate chapters all over the world - ranging from D.C. to France to Switzerland to many other places - quite the journey. The storyline has multiple POVs, but is easy to understand and flows effortlessly. I had such a hate-love relationship with many of the characters and found myself rooting for the "bad" guys.

It's original. It's action packed. It's insanely creative.

Honestly, I'm still a bit panicked that this organization may be real... I can't wait to read the next masterpiece that comes from Galgon because The Circle cannot be escaped and I NEED MORE.

After reading The Circle, I was expecting great things from new author Stephen J Galgon. To be part of his beta team and be able to read this before everyone was a serious honour and I can't begin to tell you how fantastic this book is.

Whilst The Circle was an excellent debut novel, this prequel takes Galgon's writing to a whole new level. With new characters, new stories and even more hunting, you're going to find yourself hooked by Legends of the Circle.

Mr. Galgon has done it again. If you enjoyed The Circle, you will love this prequel showing how it all began. The author takes us through The Circle’s formation and through some pivotal moments in history, revealing the secret organization’s powerful reach into the upper echelons of entertainment, politics, and business and the extent to which it stretches - from D.C. to Paris and everywhere else. Mr. Galgon writes complex back stories and action scenes seemingly with ease, and his wildly imaginative characters are fun to read in this well-paced book.

There is no escaping The Circle. Once you’re in, you’re in for life. And with this exciting prequel, you’ll certainly want to stick around for the entire thrill ride. Fiercely original. Part thriller, part historical fiction, all terrifyingly satisfying and fun to read.

I was disappointed in this book following the debut of the series, The Circle. This book was not as taut and cohesive as the first one. There were two main characters that had their entire life stories told in order to make the plot work and this took a very long time, making the book too long. I also felt there were inconsistencies in the story which bothered me like when the rules of The Circle were broken. The dialog was cheesy sometimes as well.

Even though this book lacked compared to the first (it didn’t help that I took a long time to read the book due to life) I will read more by this author because he has such an imaginative nihilistic take on life. Lol. He’s a very good writer but this book needed some editing.

If you were a fan of the award winning novel, The Circle, you absolutely do not want to wait on this one. Legends is SO good if not even better than the first!

I was lucky enough to read this one multiple times throughout the launch team process and it is incredibly creative, maniacal & twisty with sprinkles of historical events with a special “Circle” touch. (LOVED these!) The connections that are made between this book & the last literally had my mouth dropping. 🤯

Do not miss this one! Legends of the Circle is unique, creative and this series just getting better. 👏🏼

“Rules are made to be broken…or are they?”

After being a huge fan of THE CIRCLE, I was thrilled to learn that Stephen was writing a prequel. I was definitely craving those background details as to how The Circle came to be an organization in the first place. I’m happy to say that I really enjoyed this read too. Learning about the first members was fascinating and I really enjoyed how the story focused on a bunch of different characters and their experiences within The Circle. A lot of questions that I had after book one were answered here.

The short chapters kept me engaged and the action is fierce! It’s so wild to read about the hunts and I found myself having that WHOA reaction many times throughout the read.

If you haven’t read book one I definitely recommend reading them in order. Don’t miss out on this great series. I’m already excited for the next book.

4/5 ⭐️

I’m going to try my best to do this book justice. This book is a gift. I cannot even express the unimaginable creativity that is this series’s storyline. I said it when I reviewed The Circle, this particular avenue of thriller is a bit out of my comfort zone, but to read the story is an absolutely incredible experience. It is written flawlessly. The storyline fits together seamlessly. I could see every scene play out in front of me. That has never happened to me so vividly with a novel before. I still feel strongly that this series would make an incredible movie/show.

I loved learning the history of The Circle and all of the players that made it possible. I’m excited to see what happens next. (I talk about this society as though it’s real, which it’s not, I don’t think…😂)

I think I’ve used up all of the adjectives and adverbs I Googled to try to get my point across about how crazy good The Circle series is, so now you need to go read it yourself!!

Y’all… last year I posted about how I really enjoyed The Circle and even made my dad read it. Well I’m back to say that I loved this prequel!

I was so invested in finding out how the members of The Circle came to be. I was oddly rooting for the worst of the worst members and thoroughly enjoyed seeing how the family of the members was impacted throughout the history of this organization.

I kept wondering what my husband would do if he was recruited to be a member of the circle. The whole concept is just so mind-blowing to me. It doesn’t help that I was trying to explain the concept of the book to my husband (I know y’all try to tell your significant others about a book and they just give you a blank look back too)… BUT my husbands response was “oh that organization is 100% real” 😳 yeah…. ok Drew 😐

Two years ago, I read The Circle - which totally blew me away. The concept was original and through provoking. Fast forward 2 years, I finally got my hands on the prequel to The Circle, Legends of the Circle!

This book was so much needed - the entire storyline of The Circle had my hooked and I needed to know how this human hunting organization came to be. And it definitely doesn't hold back!

Legends of the Circle basically brings us along for about a 100 year journey across the world of the different members of the original cold blooded crew of The Circle. We get to know the backgrounds of these characters, the reasoning of their interesting names, and how The Circle evolved.

I'd recommend this one (well The Circle should be read first!!) if you're in the mood for a twisty thriller that keeps you on your toes!

So now that we've had the prequel... how about a sequel!?!?

This is the 2nd book in The Circle series, but it’s actual a prequel! The first book in the series was 5 stars for me and I had compared it to the movie Fight Club but on steroids.

Legends of the Circle focuses on how The Circle was created, so it was a little slower paced, but the origin story was fascinating!! These men were batshit crazy, and one thing was certain…NO-ONE is safe. You cannot escape The Circle…dun dun duuunn

While there were lots of characters to keep straight in the beginning, I found myself invested and rooting for the them. These people are ruthless and getting inside their minds was quite a treat! 😱

Two of the things I loved the most was the determination of the two main characters (one to escape and one to get revenge) and how the men got their nicknames based on how they got their first kill!

Definitely add this to your TBR for a unique, twisty, and entertaining story! Thank you Stephen Galgon for my gifted copy in exchange for my review!

this book was just what I needed. I loved it from start to finish. After being sucked into the world of the Circle in the first book, it was nice getting some of the history in this book. The kill scenes are so plot out Stephen you have a twisted mind and I am all hear for it. You have got to read this series. I am so hoping we get way more of the circle. This will surely be one of my top books of the year! Make sure you savor it, as you won't want it to end!

Legends of the Circle is a prequel to The Circle. If you are looking for you original character in this one you are going to be somewhat disappointed, but Stephen Galgon pick up this amazing tale from beginning. Giving us a piece of the puzzle that we’re a question mark from beginning, bring the story full circle.

There is gore, legends from the past and questions answered.

This books series is a page turner.

I just finished Legends of the Circle, by Stephen J. Galgon, book 2 in the 'Circle' series. I don't know if there will be more coming out but I hope there are, it was great! It tells the backstory of the first book and really does a great job of adding a lot of critical content. Very good!

This was a great prequel that left me craving a third book! I really hope we will get one.

This was a bit slow going in the first half, with a lot of characters to keep track of. Once a lot of them were weeded out, however, I started to see how the story was coming together. It was especially fun to see The Fink’s origin story. I really enjoyed learning about how The Circle came about and the back stories of some of the legendary (hehe) members from the first book.

The end was a bit of a cliffhanger and left me wanting so much more! I’m eager to see what the author puts out next!

Talk about a series that kills you softly! This book is the absolute must read origins story of the legendary murderous fraternity: The Circle. The name drops of famous and infamous historical figures add to the prospect of such an organization existing. The insight into the transformation of the characters created ties that bound my person to theirs. My mind was blown and my heart shattered at the various twists and turns taken.

The plot included historical events as landmarks that brough authenticity to the story. The author’s use of foreshadowing planted clues while allowing the reader time to uncover true threats. You may love or hate those for or against the Circle, but I assure you the contents of this book are sure to keep you locked in!

I recommend this book if you enjoy reading about secret societies and if you enjoy origin stories!
