With a beginning as rocky as their pasts, it’d be easier if they stayed away from each other. They didn’t.
Leo Tomilson has come back to Harrington Hills after a fire that changed his life forever, and all he wants is to be left alone. No longer being a firefighter is something he might learn to live with, but there are days when he doesn’t even feel like a proper werewolf anymore. That cuts deeper than anything else.
Charlie Dewitt is as reliable as they come in Harrington Hills. Ever since he put down roots in this town, he’s never wanted to leave. His brother is here, his pack is here and so is his life. He has everything he needs. Not everything he wants, perhaps, but that’s fine.
Their first meeting is a mess because they clash over a series of misunderstandings. But Charlie is a patient man, Leo sees in him what most people miss and neither of them are good at taking the easy way out, so maybe there’s a chance for…something, after all.
Reader advisory: This book is best read as part of a series but can be read as a standalone. The book contains a scene of public sex.
Short but sweet!! There is some angst, but for the most part, there’s a slow rise to LJ and Charlie pairing off. I liked the discussion and explanation of being demisexual. Charlie’s exploration with LJ feels natural. LJ’s taking it all in stride is as it should be. Well done, Megan, well done!
This is a very charming, slow-burn MM wolf shifter romance. The plot is well-written with a “tentative friends to lovers” theme with no violence or physical conflict in it. The characters are quite interesting and gradually draw closer to each other & actually end up complement each other very well. It is about: an emotionally damaged male firefighter & wolf shifter (Leo Tomilson) with sad memories, returns to Harrington Hills & only wants to be left alone but comes into contact with a family friend (a male wolf shifter, Charlie Dewitt) & the attractions slowly begin to flare. There is: wolf shifters, a caring family, secrets, friendship, some drama, devastating memories, misunderstandings, distrust, advice, unexpected surprises, disbelief, playfulness, attractions, compromises, contentment, happiness, some steam & a satisfying epilogue.
Megan Linden did an amazing job writing Finding Home. It was emotional at times and sweet at others. I loved everything about the storyline. I read this book within two days.
Things get off to a difficult start, when Leo and Charlie first meet. They both have rocky pasts to get over. Will they be able to? Leo is so fed up that he can't resume his career after what happened. Charlie is a sweet man that is interested in helping him. After they become friends, and as they start talking, they become more.
I could see myself friends with Leo and Charlie, especially Leo's family. The writing style was spot on and so addictive. It was written in a single POV. This book was phenomenal.

Finding Home is a smooth, easy shifter romance. Although this is the sixth title in the Harrington Hills series, this is the first I’ve read in the collection or by this author. I do think this is likely a series that is best read as a whole as there is a lot of references to past couples or situations that I felt a little lost on, but reading as a standalone is definitely possible. Overall, I enjoyed Finding Home. The characters were interesting, the conflict was unique, and the romance uncomplicated.
Leo and Charlie made for a great couple. Both men have faced down difficult pasts that continue to affect their lives. I found the setup really unique, especially given how the men’s traumatic experiences affected their werewolf side. I also liked that the men shared these experiences and were able to help one another adjust their expectations or overcome some problems to lead a happier life. From a romantic standpoint, the coupling made sense. It felt very straight forward even with a little bit of conflict as the men worked through things.
Finding Home was an easy, enjoyable read for me. Though there wasn’t a lot of excitement or angst, the characters were likable and the story interesting. I’d recommend this to fans of shifter romances who are looking for a good book that is a little more low-key.

Touch is important, acceptng it is safety. Leo and Sylvia foster sibling, along with Luka, Damien and Beatrices. Their foster dad is the sheriff. The siblings thought Leo needed an entervention because he didn't participate in pack or family activities. He was mourning loss of his old job as a firefighter and he just wanted to bury his head and feel safe. Charlie, worked in the library. He loved the library. He lived the library. Charlie settled and pursuaded his brother, David to join him. Leo struggles with his PTSD but Charlie is awar and attracted. They stumble through each of their meetings. The town, the men, the family are delightful. There is a comforting synergy. Will Leo share his trauma with his family? Will Leo find his safety? Can Charlie be Leo's rock and his friend? Will Leo get his animal back? Great story. Well done. The characters are relatable and fun. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Leo returns to his hometown after a bad accident as a firefighter and encounters Charlie. Returning to Harrington Hills where his family and his pack are Leo Tomilson feels broken and not much of a werewolf after the accident that had caused him to make the move and give up his career as a firefighter so avoids pack runs and family dinners. When his family gang up on him he agrees to attend the Full Moon Run he encounters Charlie Dewitt who has moved to town with his brother who he had been guardian of since their parents death. The two do not get on and Charlie walks away but then one night they meets at the twenty-four hour store when neither had been able to sleep and this problem they have in common starts to ease their reactions to one another Then when Charlie goes to leave his truck he finds it will not start and as he wonders what to do Leo comes out and offers him a lift home.

Charlie finally finds a place where he wants to settle down. He’s happy and loves his new pack. Leo returns home to try and put his life back together. Their first encounter wasn’t very impressive. Then they kind of bonded over early morning grocery shopping.
I haven’t read any other books in the series which is probably why this one seemed not quite all there. It was short and ended rather abruptly.
That said, I loved the characters and the town. The sense of family was sweet and entertaining. Good use of the annoying, in your face type of people that only closest of families can navigate.
Give this book a read, it was worth the time.

Leo and Charlie don't have the best start, but what builds between them during their subsequent meeting is a connection that is sometimes sweet, sometimes hot, and always gentle. I like how well they see, understand, and appreciate each other, and that they get each other in ways that even family members that dearly love them can't always manage. Charlie's kindness and his dedication to those he cares about make him super likeable. Leo is awesome, too, because he has so much trauma to process, and he does, with courage and determination.

Leo Tomilson quit being a firefighter and returned home, suffering from bad memories. He prefers to be alone, which is difficult to do with the pack. Eventually after a few rough encounters, he becomes friends with Charlie Dewitt who can give him some stability in his life. Over time, the attraction between them grows. Leo and Charlie face conflicts but ultimately can trust each other, and their friendship and more makes a difference in their lives.
I enjoyed this story. It's a sweet hurt/comfort with a little bit of angst. Leo is a firefighter who returns home after a bad experience with a fire. He wants to be left alone, but he's part of a pack, so you know that ain't happenin'. His and Charlie's first meeting isn't sunshine and rainbows, if you know what I mean, but they eventually become friends and then more. I liked this sweet slow burn.

Leo stopped being a firefighter because of what happened at his last fire so moved home but family kept trying to get him more involved with family and pack. After a bad start Leo and Charlie became friends and Charlie helped him with some of his issues he had. They became a lot closer after they got to talking. Great book!
This was a good friends to lovers story about Leo, an emotionally damaged fire fighter and Charlie who is a family friend. Leo only wants to be left alone. But they slowly grow over time as friends to lovers. Well written, highly recommend.

This was a case of seeing underneath the surface. Leo returns home, unhappy and hurt. Charlie is a steady fixture in town. After a few bumps, Leo and Charlie slowly become friends. Leo sees what others have missed in Charlie. Together they become what the other needs. Loved it.
This was my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. I didn’t know it was part of a series but it has a great storyline all on his own. The characters Leo and Charlie have conflicts but in the end find what means the most. Great story. Will be reading more from this author.
Leo is a fireman and comes home after a bad experience at a fire. All he wants is to be left alone but his family won't give up on him. He meets Charlie at a pack gathering at his parent's home. They have a rough beginning but things keep getting better with each encounter. I enjoyed this book.
