A great book to introduce the basic principles and rituals of Ayurveda. The recipes and self care rituals are easy and understandable to try. Great reminders on how nourishing our body, mind and spirit through food, yoga, breathwork and meditation rituals can keep us balanced and living a vibrant life. I’ve made the grounding porridge and kitchari recipes. One of my biggest takeaways is how infusing my life with rituals that are practiced daily with awareness, discipline and intention will help with my spiritual growth. I’ve tried to cultivate my morning and evening routines with awareness and intention for many years now and this book helped me realize how these rituals have structured my day to give me more purpose, balance and nourishment. I will continue to add more depth into my routines of massage and rise with the sun to connect with myself and the earth. My health and well being are choices I make every day and as I age it’s even more important to take care of myself.
Just didn't love this book. I think bc it felt like it was too styled in a not practical way - i.e., nude pics, photos of body oiling with lots of jewelry on, the recipes seemed like you needed lots of ingredients (even for healthy beauty products). Gorgeous photos, nice layout, but not the #1 guide for ayurveda for me for sure.
Loved it! A great book with tons of recipes and rituals from self care, to mental health, to food. I could feel the feminine energy from this book inspiring me!
