The book gave me an amazing time and I liked the way the author has presented the story and in starting of every part of the book there is a verse of Gita which gives a very good feeling to read the book.

A thrilling story is awaiting for you to experience and tell your experience.

The story is riveting and kept me engrossed and that made me read fast and now I can say that it's a page-turner and could be read in just one sitting.

The book has an essence of Mythology tales and as I am shiva devote this book touched my heart and gave me some facts about my god in which I believe and strongly following his path and I am truly grateful for reading this book and I would like to recommend this book to those readers who loves to read a thrilling and mystery with some mythological touch.

Glimpses in a blink

Suryakant has recently joined an organization named CIU which is recently been formed to investigate the case at a fast rate and to reduce the crime rate in Delhi and is under the Home Minister and he is also a Chemical Engineer and belongs to the IPS batch here he is working as a special member of CIU.

CIU have a secret weapon that helps them to reveal the truth behind the crimes and that secret Astra is not known to everyone only CIU knows about this and now the creator of this weapon is in danger.

A murder happens and it looks like Suicide but there is something hidden which is unknown to the eyes and only beholder like Suryakant can solve it but he also gets lost in the dark lies of murder but beholder like him don't give up easily and rises once again and ready for the solve the case.

"𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐝.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠."

With increasing crimes and many high profile cases going unsolved, Special Commissioner of Police, Ajay Raj Singh floats the idea of 'PROJECT KAALI' to the Home Minister. It gets accepted and a Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) is set up vested with special powers to handle high profile cases.

What are the CIU's special powers that has made the unit successful in solving all the high profile cases?

Soon Ajay's young nephew Suryakant joins as the Special Investigator at the CIU. Straight out of the academy, with no field experience, will he be able to solve his first independent case?

The case was an interesting one, at one point of time everyone seemed a suspect, even Ajay was a suspect. The unpredictability of the plot made the novel engaging and interesting. The title of the book is very appropriate and the reason behind it is revealed at the end. The author has nicely blended mythology, spirituality and science to carve out this amazing thriller. I kept turning pages in excitement until the end.

From title, cover, blurb and throughout the story Neelkanth is a perfect justice for what we call A Murder and a Crime thriller. There is thrill, twist and turns and a perfect engagement that is expected from Author's narration.

Coming to the stort Neelkanth is about how IPS Officer named Suryakant under Home Minister has to handle a murder case and if he fails it will lead to his transfer. The case becomes a mission and Suryakant plans accordingly and makes a organization named CIU.

Now it's fascinating to know about the title Neelkanth that's related to Bhagwan Shiv and how the story connects to it.
Has someone needed to accept the role of Neelkanth?

What I liked-
~ Not only just the book cover and title but also the parts were titled very interestingly.
~ There's mythology, politics, crime, mystery everything that makes a reader feel that it's a story of a Superhit Bollywood mystery movie.
~ It was engaging, interesting and impactful read.

I'll recommend this book to everyone who loves reading thrillers that are connected to different aspects like politics, mythology and beliefs of public.

This book contains murder, mystery, thrill, suspense, drama, politics, everything that is a perfect combination for crime thriller fan.

I completed this book in just 2 sittings. It's about a crime solving agency CIU, after whose establishment, there came a suspecting speed in solving of murders rumoured to be solved with a special weapon which no one knows other than CIU themselves.
Soon a new person join with target of solving a special case and find himself into pool of lies and deceit.

It's narration kept me engaged with story and giving qoutes from Gita was completely fine effect. It's a book which everyone can try once to read something interesting and engrossing.

I love it when genres are coupled, like in this book, thriller, sci-fi are intertwined with a hint of dystopia.
.
Neelkanth, being a debut novel, is a page turner. I liked the characterization of the book. The narration has a lot of layers and the hence the end result is stunning.
.
The mysterious book is a story of an IPS officer, Suryakant, who is assigned to a death case. The story of him getting trapped and shining through in the investigation is one of a kind.
.
The pace of the plot is good. The language is great. The twists and turns are expected from a thriller and are well delivered.
.
Overall, a great thriller.

NeelKanth: Truth, Lies, Deceit & Murder’ by ‘Satyam Srivastava’ is a story of a young IPS ‘Suryakant Singh’ solving his very first case of a mysterious death where he unfolds many truths, lies and deceit. We all are aware of the fact that India is land of rich culture whose roots lie in spiritualism and it is sacred as well. Like there are many deities, rivers which makes it sacred. ‘Neelkanth’ What does it mean?
In Hindu mythology Neelkanth is referred to Lord Shiva as he had engulfed the poison during churning of Ocean. Here poison is symbolised as a harmful substance which could wipe out the entire human race in earth.
Comin to the book, the book is divided into three parts and names of the chapters are in Sanskrit which give it a bit of mythological taste. The story has been set in Delhi. It all starts with Ajay and the Home Minister. A child kidnapping case in Delhi which gives birth to CIU – Crime Investigation Unit like a real investigation agency in India which is CBI. This gives a realistic touch. ‘Suryakant Singh’ a young IPS officer being recruited and assigned to his first case of mysterious death where he learns the ups and downs of the system as well. Suryakant in the duration of solving this case unfolds many deepest, sensitive things about the system. The readers will get to know who the Neelkanth is being referred to in the book and will Suryakant be able to solve this case!
Author has written a fiction which can be the future of India where just like the CIU our real agencies can use the highly advanced weapons like TS-108, a serum, a secret illegal weapon which is used to reveal the truth from culprits. The detailing of case and investigation process shows the author go through and the plot construction which is really appreciable because in this type of crime mystery thriller genre plot have to be written well and if it’s then will cause lot of confusion. The language and style are lucid and alluring which intrigues readers to go through the book in one go.
Recommended to those who loves to read a mystery and thriller ones.

💙 235 pages, 28 chapters divided into 3 parts.
The TITLE suggests influence of mythology, a thriller, murder mystery..soooo no points for guessing that!
Infact, the chapter names are both in vernacular lang. as well as in eng.
Part 1 BEGINNING OF THE END
Part 2 THE ULTIMATE MYSTERY
Part 3 END OF THE BEGINNING.

🦁
Tell me, what do you look for in a thriller mystery? What makes it a fab read for you?
I believe you will find all that, in here, here in this story.

💙Being a believer in Lord Shiva, I was impressed by the title & the dedication itself.

Few lines;
--Making a decision is easy. To live with it, is the real test.
--What’s inside the mind can never be burnt.
--An enormous power, once tasted, is difficult to let go.
--What is born, shall die. What is dead, shall never die.

The ENDING is a cliffhanger.

💙The authors are engineers turned career bureaucrats (IRS Officers). They are batchmates and good friends. Wow.

YOU WILL LIKE IT if you have a taste for Indian Mythology, like Realistic Fiction with a dose of bollywood masala & a story which keeps you on the edge, anticipating shock & surprises at the drop of a hat!
A great debut!

Book review – Neelkanth
Authors – Satyam Srivastava and Rajeev Garg
.
Murder mysteries and thrillers have always captured my interest. These stories are curated by authors with the sole intention to satisfy the insatiable appetite for the unascertained that a reader craves for. It’s a unique potent formula that’s meticulously infused to a well-structured plot that boasts of spine-chilling experiences and when whisked with a blend of cliffhangers, it sets our adrenaline pumping.
.
It was the title of the book ‘Neelkanth’ that caught my attention. I was intrigued to uncover and deep-dive to ascertain the contents of the book as it’s pretty uncommon to have a title named after one of the many names of Lord Shiva. According to mythology, Lord Shiva drank the deadly poison Halahala that emanated during the churning of the ocean, which turned his throat blue. The word Neelkanth in this book is used as a metaphor to describe the deadly concoction, TS-108 serum, that’s clinically designed and implemented exclusively by the CIU (Crime Investigation Unit) department to elicit truth from criminals. The usage of this mixture assists in solving crimes and provide closure to the cases at the earliest.
.
Set in the year 2025 in Delhi, a kidnapping case propels the need to create a department - CIU. Suryakant, a young IPS officer gets recruited to the team and based on his credibility is given a case that’s imbued with a series of implausible trysts. It’s his indefatigable spirit that gets Suryakant to solve this murder mystery and simultaneously uncover the truth behind CIU that would eventually open up a can of worms.
.
This piece of fiction is beautifully brewed with a tinge of mythology. It’s interesting to see how the narrative exhibits a tale that opens to an expansive characterization and a plot with intricate twists and turns that keeps the reader asking for more. The authors have done a great job for a debut novel.
.
Will Suryakant solve this mysterious case? What will be the fate of CIU? What are some of the truths that Suryakant will encounter while solving the case? If these questions intrigue you, you might want to read this one to find out!

This is the story of young IPS officer named Suryakant. He recently joined CIU which is an organisation laid after a kidnapping case for the permanent termination of crimes in Delhi. It is 2025, June and Delhi NCR, from where the book starts. CIU has secret weapons from which no criminal can hide and it never fails anyone. But what has happened to our protagonist is totally opposite. He met with things he never wanted, never wished for it, but ultimately had it. He CIU for a murder mystery, but this case takes him to a different world. It made suryakant something unimaginable. What was that?

After reading this book I was amazed by the thought processes of the authors. The book is interesting as it holds a mystery. But it was a bit lengthy for me. Although I've read and reviewed many books lengthier than this one but it took me time to complete it, may be because of its mythological touch which is not my type of genre. But apart from this, I find this book really amazing. The book is divided into 3 parts, namely -

1. Antarambha (Beginning of the end)
2. Param Rahasya (The ultimate mystery)
3. Arambha Viram (End of the beginning)

These sanskrit words are little impressive for me and the Gita's verses at the beginning of each part compliments the whole look of the book. There are total 28 chapters and an ending epilogue. The language was easy to understand and the plot was just amazing.  Overall it was a good read. The cover also signifies the story, a man trapped in a puzzle. Title is just suitable. Narration style was good. So when will you read it ?

"This weapon is the beginning of the end of crime"

What kind of weapon is that? How he can end crimes with that? Did he really achieved his goal? What's the story behind becoming NEELKANTH?

To know more just grab this book and read.

Blending in dystopia with ancient India to create a mystery thriller with sci fi elements sounds like a lot because there's so many things that could go wrong especially if it's a debut novel. However, it can also turn out to be a page turner. It all comes down to the execution because the concept is already complex with many layers to unfold. The narrative of this book dulls in comparison to the idea it proposes in the blurb because you go in inevitably expecting a lot of adrenaline rush induced by plot twists and revelations and even though the buildup is good, the end result fails to deliver a punch strong enough to take your breath away. The writing is indeed appreciable and the author has tried making his world building relevant which is something I really liked. For a debut novel, it's well written and paced. It's not perfect but it's worth a read.

Thrillers with a touch of Mythology

Murder, thrillers are my my genre favorite genre and I guess most people's too, next is mythology and then sci-fi, what happens when you get all the three in one book. His book is exactly what one expects, fast paced, roller coaster, great read.

One definitely knows that during the churning of the ocean Lord Shiva had the halahala hence his throat turned blue and hence the name Neelkanth. That is years and years ago and it's mythology. Fast forward to the year 2024, what happens when TS- 108 serum is used to detect the truth in people. This is being used by the CIU ( crime investigate unit)

An young IPS officer Suryakanth Singh is roped in to help with the kidnapping of a girl.

Does he solve the case? How does the name Neelkanth fit in with the murder? Who is Neelkanth in 2025?

The book is much more than the kidnapping of the girl, however with thrillers i tend to not write more about the story as it can also give out a lot of the ending. The ending of the book is excellent, I did except it to be this good and I think there will be another part to this book.

This book itself is divided into 3 parts
Part 1- Antarambha ( Beginning of the end)
Part 2- ParamRahasya ( The ultimate mystery)
Part 3- Arambhaviram (End of the beginning)

The names of the chapters are very interesting and I feel slot of research has gone into the book, i would definitely give it a bonus point just for all the names in the book.

The language is simple and easy and it's a great book for all. I would definitely suggest all to read this book.

Do you like reading crime- thriller-murder mystery novels ?

NEELKANTH ~ SATYAM SRIVASTAVA

Let me tell you briefly about this book without spilling some beans . So the story begins in a dystopian way where a child has been kidnapped and an agency has been formed i.e CIU, Crime Investigation Unit , under project Kaali . Now a young IPS officer is appointed and assigned his first case of a mysterious death . It seems like a suicide but there is also something more hidden and only Suryakant can solve it because he made a choice to become the NEELKANTH . Read the book in order to find more about this crime , murder mystery .

Wait ! There is more to this book than just crime , thriller , murder and mystery and that is the essence of ancient mythological tales with some sci fi elements .

I was absolutely amazed by the number of layers this book has , so many ideas packed into one thrilling book. I am sure as a debut novel , the author deserves a lot of praise for this book .
The plots are fast paced and the feeling of boredom never creeps in . The writing is very appreciable , the only thing i thought needed more attention was to deliver the expectation created by the blurb . Overall i enjoyed this book thoroughly and i could really picture it turning into a bollywood thriller movie with only little modifications .

Happy reading !

Essential lesson behind this book is that the story delineates clearly positivity from scepticism which is very imperative in today’s world.

Neelkanth by duo authors has been an amazing crime mystery which is set out in future. A heart breaking incident warranted a special cell to be formed for investigating the crime incident. The surprising fact is discovery of secret weapons. Cell keep working on detecting various ends of the incident and finding out who the real perpetrators are. What will be the end? Whether the cell will truly find out the culprits? Is there anybody in cell itself who can hinder the progress? Was there any real crime incident at all? To know all this, read this amazing book Neelkanth.

There are certainly lot of take-away in this book. The main take-away is that one must be attentive while performing his/her duties. Eyes can lie, ears can lie, heart can lie, and mind can lie. But all of them can not lie together. Trust your-self with honesty, and in the end, you will get the reward.

Other Things I liked in this book were-
1. Language of the book is easy and comfortable.
2. Narration style was flabbergasting.
3. Book cover, being a puzzle, was beautiful and apt with the storyline.
4. Characterization was portrayed well.
5. Plot development and execution was remarkable.
6. Good amount of suspense was created in the storyline.
7. Book length was apt.

There was nothing in this book, which I disliked. Overall book was a good read and I recommend it for crime story lovers.

What are your perspective about the ever increasing crime rates in India? Is it the unhealthly psychology of the criminals or the negligence by the law, to be blamed for these criminal activities?

𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐋𝐊𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐇

by 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐲𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐯𝐚 𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐞𝐞𝐯 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐠

📜Story-

This story revolves around a newly recruited IPS officer, Suryakant Singh who has been appointed to CIU for solving his first case i.e of a mysterious murder.
Crime Investigation Unit of Delhi has some secret weapon that is used to keep a check on the crime rates of the city.
But in this particular case, the secret weapon fails to work for Suryakant to uncover the murder mystery.

❓What will he do now? Will he be able to solve this murder mystery? What is all the fuss about the secret weapon? What is the secret weapon?

📚Grab this book to connect the missing links to reach up to the conclusion.

🕯️My take on the story -

This book is a perfect combination of thriller, suspence, mystery, politics, with a hint of mythology which makes it a very gripping story.

Narration style is free flowing. Language is easy to comprehend.
Book cover is itself a complete puzzle for the plot and therefore inflicts a sence of mystery.
Plot development and execution is done fabulously without much loop holes.

🎀Rating - 5/5 ⭐

🔖Overall it's a very intriguing read. If you are a fan of mystery, crime, thriller content then you should definitely read this book.
It is highly recommended.❤️

Neelkanth, Lord Shiva's other name, which he got when he consumed the poison that emanated during the Samudramanthan (churning of the ocean), it made his throat blue in color. He chose to help the Gods and the Asuras. So it finally comes down to choices, and decisions. The very same thing happened to our protagonist too, he made a choice that led to him becoming the Neelkanth.

Suryakant Singh, a chemical engineer earlier, is a recently recruited IPS officer is assigned to CIU. The main purpose of this team is to handle high profile cases and to being down the rising crime rate in Delhi. The Home Minister was in loop with CIU.

Then comes a twist in the story. CIU has some sort of a secret that they are employing to keep crime under control. It seems as though the situation is really under control, but beneath this cover unrest was brewing. How can you expect thugs and mafioso to keep still while their means of earning is in danger, and while crime in broad daylight could lead to their deaths.

A body is found, seemingly a case of suicide. CIU tries to uncover the whereabouts of the murderer but to no avail. At this moment Suryakant's intelligence and presence of mind comes to the rescue.

An amalgamation of fictitious crime thriller and mythology, you could read it in a single sitting, it's that good.

" Neelkanth" is an amazing piece of writing which has given me goosebumps while reading. This book is a whole entertainment package which has all all engrossing elements like suspense, mythology, religious beliefes as well as an angle of politics and a glimpse of how bureaucracy works in extreme circumstances. I thoroughly enjoyed the concept, descriptions, character sketch and most importantly the titles of all chapters.

Author Satyam Srivastava and Rajiv Garg has done a great job in their writing. Many characters are mentioned in in different chapters but all of them are precisely explained.

Moving forward to plot, background of the story has been set up in Delhi where an abduction happened and home minister was briefing special commissioner of police to solve this case urgently.

To rein in the increasing crime rate Commissioner proposed a idea to set up "Project Kali" and a young IPS Suryakant had appointed as incharge to solve a mysterious suicide. As the investigation commenced a web of lies, betrayal and murder emerges which left me awestruck.

The best thing about this book is the mentioning of various verses and dohas from religious books. They are brilliantly intertwined with storyline. The essence of Science and fiction, crime, politics and a perfect protagonist made it complete entertainer.

Happy reading guys!! 😇

TS-108, a serum, a secret weapon, although illegal, is resorted to by the Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) to solve cases that reach a dead end. This case is extraordinary and extra complex and even the application of the truth serum isn't able to give them a proper lead.

A genius with a complicated familial relations and his company in a topsy-turvy situation, Sudarshan and his wife's death makes up for Suryakant's first ever indipendent case. After running the TS test with all probable suspects in vain, Suryakant is time and again pushed back to square one, having forced to supress his instinctive smell of foul play. Things turn more dubious when Suryakant finds out that the inventor of the TS-108 is none other than Sudarshan himself. From suspecting his own boss to illegally breaking into someone's office, Suryakant goes to every extent to reveal all that is concealed under this mystery of a strange case.

Guised as a crime fiction, the authors inculcate the narrative with a creative blend of the spiritual and science, life and mythology, truth and half-truths. This is a crime fiction with a very unique touch of indigeneity. I feel like this plot has the potential to be turned into an exciting web series.

The book has the essence of thriller and suspense and the interesting part is the contrast between the thrilling and the mythological genre.

Suryakant a chemical engineer joined an organization named CIU(crime investigation unit) formed basically for the investigation of increasing crime rate in the metropolitan city like Delhi.

CIU had a secret weapon that helps them to reveal the truth behind the crimes and that secret Astra was not known to everyone only CIU knows about this and now the creator of this weapon is in danger.

A murder happens and it looks like Suicide but there was something fishy in that case which is unknown to the eyes and only beholder like Suryakant could solve it but he also gets lost in the dark lies of murder but beholder like him didn't give up easily and rises once again and ready for the solve the case.

Now, the question is where is the mythological reference?and the answer is that like the Lord Shiva drank the deadly poison Halahala that emanated during the churning of the ocean, which turned his throat blue. The case solving ability of Suryakant reflected it.

To know, how he solved this typical case, go and grab this book. A good and engaging read. Overall recommendable.

The story is set amount the year 2025 where human race has developed alot on the basis of technology. The policemen are carrying secret weapons that are helping in solving the crimes cases without failing.
.
A young IPS, Suryakant, is freshly recruited to CIU which has been recently established to investigate or solve the cases at a fast rate. This organization carries a secret weapon(Astra) not known to anyone apart from this department which helps in revealing the truth.
.
Suryakant, a freshly recruit, has been assigned a case of suicide which is more of a murder. Or is it not? To know whether or how he solves the case, get your copies from your nearest stores.
.
Starting with the cover, it was simple and okayish. It could have been more relevant with the story. The touch of mythology adds a real front to the story. The narration is good. The language used is simple and easy. The thriller keeps the readers captivated. And the special verses mentioned in the made gave a lively touch and made me read more and more. Books like these are not much written in India which I felt after reading this one is not very good. I definitely enjoyed reading this thriller. Overall, it was a perfect blend of thrill, suspense, mythology and science-fiction.

There aren't numerous new acceptable titles with regards to wrongdoing anticipation spine chiller kind in Indian scholarly scene. Still proceeded with the acquisition of this book dependent on some solid proposals. Also, what an astonishing read it ended up being! The story rotates around a first class wrongdoing examination unit, which is set up to tackle amazingly troublesome cases. Different characters and circumstances are presented with a style of a veteran author. Case subtleties and examination work are weaved as though it is being described by a real researching official with long stretches of first rate insight behind him. The tension is pleasantly developed and every one of the circles are in the end shut with consistent clearness, giving the peruser the fulfillment that he has not been had a good time with as generally occurs towards the end in numerous secret/spine chillers. What tops off an already good thing is the light sprinkle of otherworldliness and philosophical learnings. Would emphatically prescribe the book to any peruser who loves wrongdoing/secret kind. It has every one of the fixings and potential for an entrancing high speed web-arrangement/film. Expectation there is Part-II to the story also.

Neelkanth: Truth, Lies, Deceit & Murder is a fascinating book written by Satyam Srivastava and Rajeev Garg.
Basically it is a book in thriller genre which also has an element of suspense. The story is set up in Delhi in 2025. The book is divided into three parts. The story begins with Ajay and the home minister. A child kidnapping case led to the formation of Crime Investigation Unit. A young IPS officer namely, Suryakant was recruited. The first case which was allocated to him was of a mysterious death. The Crime Investigation Unit had a secret weapon which was limited only to them, and it helped them to unravel the mystery behind the crimes. The story takes a turn when the creator of that weapon lands up in trouble. A murder takes place which seemed like it was suicide. Suryakant has onus on him to solve the case. Now to know how he solves this case, you should definitely grab this book.
Overall, this book is quite perfect from all the aspects and I would recommend it to all those who love reading books in suspense thriller genre. Neelkanth: Truth, Lies, Deceit & Murder

by Satyam Srivastava

The central protagonist - a new IPS officer - Suryakant Singh is all set to mould and break the boundaries and then he realises an utmost truth on the other side which lets him question his own psyche of purpose.

Just through its initial look, anyone can have a notion that it's going to be immensely intriguing. Honestly, the book kept its promise. The story is not at all bland and comprises of a twisted plot concocted in the shell of thrill. The author has tried to incorporate elements like the vivid description of attacks which the officer faced. ⁣

The characters in the book have been crafted with much insight, and each of them holds a different surprise. Diversity in the plot is evident within the framework of the story. The pace of the story is balanced with right amounts of halts and acceleration.⁣

The book is a recommended read given the fact its editorial aspects and sequential writing style is almost perfect! The book can be read by anyone who loves thrill one beyond the other with the majesty of crime, terror and mystery!⁣

The novel is injected with suspense, thrill, mythology, mystery, research, conspiracy, drama, politics etc.
The spirit of mythology into it wherein verses of Gita has been included which gives a positive vibe while reading, conveying evidence of myriad aspects which are unfamiliar to various people.

It's has been moulded in such a manner that it has a confidential weapon that assists in disclosing the truth behind the crime and considerable secrets have been recognized to it only. A murder takes place being shown on facet as Suicide but been suspicious. Suryankant looks into the case and gets tangled in it. Will he able to unfold the mystery, lies, and look behind the actual picture? What will the exact matter behind all scenes? Flip the book and enjoy the suspense hidden.

Neelkanth: Truth, Lies, Deceit & Murder is a fantastic book written by Satyam shrivastava.
The story is of Surykant singh an IPS officer.
Suryakant has recently joined as an IPS officer recruited in an organization named CIU which is recently been formed to investigate the case at a fast rate and to reduce the crime rate in Delhi.
He soon gets trapped into a vortex of truth, lies, and deceit. Evidence tells one thing, heart another and instinct something else.
There are multiple characters in this book, and all of them were so beautifully designed. The maps which were presented at the start of the book are so interesting. The language is lucid, and the narration is thrilling, and I am amazed by the writing style at some points of the book, but I think the book needs a bit more editing and make the long paragraphs which are monotonous at some places and make them short so a reader won't feel bored.
So I would recommend this read to the thriller genre readers.
But my compliments for a very lucid writing. It's a good one time read. The twists, too, are well thought out. However, the end seems a trifle too contrived.

Sooryakant, a newbie IPS officer, has been directly recruited to CIU, a team with a special weapon and known for their amazing accuracy in solving the cases. But, as he gets into a mysterious murder case, the weapon fails and Sooryakant finds himself trapped by the truth, lies and deceit.

No doubt that the book is a perfect thriller with an interesting story line and unexpected twists. It took some time for me to get into the plot and since then it was a perfect page turner.

It has a lot of Vedic and scientific references, that gives it a unique outlook. Even the chapters are named by Sanskrit terms to make it more intriguing. But at some points I felt that the religious parts were not at all necessary.

Speaking about the characters, each of them have their own unique traits. They are not relatable, but it’s okay as none of them are common people.

The story is quiet unpredictable with a gripping plot and engrossing narration. The language is good too. However some of my doubts left uncleared. You can complete it within a couple of hours. Overall, it is a good one for mystery lovers.

Title:- Neelkanth

Author :- SATYAM SRIVASTAV

Format :- kindle

Review:- 4.8/5

The title of the book Neelkanth gives the vibes of Sort of spiritual storyline but the storyline inside the book is different. The blurb of the book start with the protagonist suryakant who is an IPS and joined recently the ICU. Which is investigation agency. The suspence starts with the abduction of body. Later it turned into murder investigation. He has assigned the duty to catch the murder. Would be he able to solve the mystery or not it has to be find out. It can be done only by reading the book. To make the storyline interesting the author has add some element of mythology suspense thrill. This make the reading more interguing. As debut novel the author has done great job. In every field. The plot of the story in interguing. The cover of the book gives the idea that the person is trapped in a cage. He is trying to escape from it. The language used by the is lucid and the cover of the book is eye catching that grab the view of the reader. The characterisation in the story is top notch. I would recommend to read this suspense thriller book. It would be worth to read the book

Gripping thriller!

Book Review:

Neelkanth - Truth, Lies, Deceit and Murder is a suspense mystery thriller with a dash of mythology. The story is set in 2025 Delhi, where the police department has formed CIU (Crime Investigation Unit) to solve and fight crimes and have also devised a special secret weapon. However, when a young IPS officer, Suryakant Singh, joins and is assigned a murder case, the weapon fails. Why did the weapon fail? Most importantly, what is this weapon? Is something big at play here?

Satyam Srivastava and Rajeev Garg have written an intriguing, enthralling and captivating suspense thriller. There are verses from the Bhagvad Gita at the start of each chapter adding a spiritual touch to the narrative. There are elements of mythology and that takes the story to a different dimension, making it more interesting to read. The language is comprehensible and the book is well paced. This is a really good thriller which would hold your interest till you unravel the mystery. Happy reading!

Sudarshan did not want his legacy to be one of the “Destroyers of the society and its free will”. Interesting!

The story seems more like a staged drama, more so a diary. There are parts and then there are scenes that keep switching. There is suspense, thriller, action and mythological twists and spiritual expressions too.

Book has multiple characters which became little confusing for me to understand and remember the characters in the beginning otherwise it’s a fresh thought. Story is different and moves to another unexpected tangent. Suryakant a unanimous choice for Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) has been portrayed as a strong and intelligent character whose mission is to unfold the truth.

Short chapters in the book add to the pace. What is most critical in such books is the ending. Without mentioning the details the ending actually seals everything. Puts everyone in place. No room for discussion. There is a lot of oscillation in the minds of the readers throughout the book hence it’s recommended.

Neelkanth is an amazing piece of writing which is divided into three parts. This book has all components like story, drama, crimes, murder, and politics. As a debut novel, the author deserves a lot of praise for this book. The story is set amount the year 2025 where the human race has developed a lot based on technology. And the crime rate is a serious issue.

Suryakant is a young IPS who is freshly recruited to CIU, which has been recently established to investigate or solve the cases at a fast rate. He assigned a case of suicide which is more of a murder. The whole case is full of thrilling and suspense. Evidence tells one thing, heart another, and instinct something else. This book has all kinds of twists and turns which is expected from the Author's narration.

The title of the book is very appropriate and the reason behind it is revealed at the end. The cover of the book is not up to the mark or eye-catching. But the author has done indeed a good job in that area. I really would like to recommend this book to everyone who loves reading thrillers and exciting stories.
