I received an advanced reader copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This is going to be a 5 part series with parts 1 & 2 happening in the past and parts 3-5 happening 12 years later. Each book does have an abrupt ending due to this style of book but they are on Kindle Unlimited so once this series is finished it can be binge read which is good.
Part one takes place in 2008 where we have our heroine, Isabella, graduating high school and about to turn 18 years old. Isabella and her brother, Gabe, are a year apart and while they aren't super close, she's always had a crush on his best friend, Ren, who is back in town for the summer. Ren had never really noticed Isabella when they were in high school together but after being invited to her birthday party, it becomes clear that they both have the hots for each other. However, both are nervous about Gabe finding out and where they will stand once the summer ends.
So far, I do like where this book is going but just when I was getting into it, it ended. So while I was enjoying it, I am not completely sold on the concept yet and that is why I am giving it 3 stars.

Along with Gabe also coming back to town is his best friend Ren. Ren is one of those wildly handsome, star quarterback for the football team, every girl has a huge crush on him, funny and sweet guys. Isabella has concentrated on school, getting great grades and being accepted to the same university as her brother. Over the course of a few weeks what starts out as crushes and a tiny kiss between Bella and Ren turns into love and a deep connection. When they end up spending the night together at her house, as her parents are away and Gabe is spending the night at his girlfriends, Ren pops Isabella's cherry, in a sweet, caring and sexy experience. But in the morning things are about to get a whole lot more real as they fell asleep together, buck naked, and Gabe comes home early discovering them. Yep things are about to get really strained between the three of them and all of their relationships.
This is a great start to this story which will continue throughout the books in this series. I can't wait to read the next to find out exactly what happens next. This is a well written book with a first love story-line. It is filled with the blushes of first love, angst, romance, family, friendships, sex and emotions.

A sweet story about Ren and Isabella who have known each other since childhood and Ren is Isabella's brother's best friend. Isabella has had a crush on Ren for many years and now that she has graduated high school and Ren is back from college for the summer their paths keep crossing. An innocent kiss has them both wanting more but the guilt they both feel because of Isabella's brother keeps them from taking this relationship any further. Even though they keep away from each other when they do get together that same temptation is always there and finally they take the plunge only Gabe finds them together and all hell breaks loose. Will Ren fight for Isabella? We will have to wait for the next book to find out what happens. Can't wait to keep reading their story. Loved this so much and am eagerly waiting for the next book.

This is the start of a 5 part series. In the 1st installment Bella has graduated high school and looking forward to college, even at the same one as her brother. Bella finds out that Ren her brothers best friend is back in town and is excited to see him and could only hope to make something of her longtime crush. Ren is a football guy who needs to work hard over the summer to get his school work caught up. When Bella offers him help they star a friendly relationship that they fight and once they can’t they cross into a very close relationship. They are keeping it a secret from her brother but when he finds out things get a bit crazy. Ren and Bella know they are not doing anything wrong and continue their relationship and can not believe how quickly the summer comes to an end! Things are said to a Bella and Ren that are not very nice and their story picks up right where this one ends in the 2nd book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is the first book of five in the new “Off Limits” series and the book ends in one heck of a cliffhanger. A captivating story with a little drama, some laughter, and a lot of summertime fun. This is a novella and is told from both Isabella and Ren’s point of views. Great storyline of a forbidden relationship where Ren breaks the bro code and starts a relationship with Isabella who is his best friend’s younger sister. They try to be just friends, but can you truly remain just friends when the attraction is undeniable?

This is the 1st in a new series and is Ren and Bella’s story. Ren is in college and is a popular football player, and he is back in his hometown to raise his grades. Bella has just graduated high school, and she has always had a huge crush on Ren, but he is her brother’s best friends. When these two meets again the attraction between them is intense and undeniable. How will Bella’s brother react to them being together? This is a quick read which is sweet, and with drama, emotions, and is an entertaining little gem of a story, and my work that cliffhanger. I cannot wait for the next book and I recommend this author’s work.

I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to get stuck in to the rest of the series.
The chemistry between Ren and Isabella is undeniable and once I started reading it was difficult to put down.
The only thing to bear in mind is that it finishes with a cliffhanger - which is why I can't wait for the next installment.

Fast, easy read. YA on the cusp of adulthood. Bella and Ren struggle against their attraction, as her brother Gabe considers her off-limits for anyone.
H/h are both likable, and Gabe is tough to figure out. Very contemporary in its approach to intimacy at 18yo, leaving Gabe concerns to seem Neanderthal by comparison.
I'm not thrilled with it, but I'm curious enough to see where the next installment takes us.

I thought both Ren and Isabella were so super sweet together and their chemistry was off the charts sizzling. Add in a fact that she is his best friend's sister, and there is the issue . I can't wait until the next book to find out what happens next!

The author has pulled us into the lives of Isabella and Ren and never lets go. They have a forbidden attraction, because she is the younger sister of his best friend, but when they act upon it, their lives will never be the same. The story ends with a cliffhanger.
