I really enjoyed this book. The pet side of the story is fun and entertaining and being a pet owner very easy to imagine. I love the way the author keeps coming up with different ways to invent business for the pet shop. The characters are like able and I enjoyed the way Trinity's parents got involved with the case, I hope they stick around, especially as they adopted the trouble twosome. The mystery itself was interesting and covered lots of different motives and suspects. It just a nice, fun easy, cozy mystery packed full of fur babies. Trinity day care/pet shop don't normally look after cats for just a day but when a busy pet owner drops of her car and corgi, Trinity soon finds out the pair can't be separated for a very good reason. At the end of a very long and noisy day when she falls to return for her pets, Trinity is quick to drop them off. Only to find the house ransacked and the owner dead on her bedroom floor. With the high crime rate lately the sheriff department hires a new detective, who quick puts Trinity at the stop of his suspects list as the killer looking for attention. Trinity is determined to stay off his radar by staying away from the case but the dead woman's daughter has other ideas and offers Trinity a lot of money to help find her mothers jewellery. But is she telling her everything? Trinity doesn't find the jewellery but she does find a safety deposit box and and letter blaming her own death on Bill and something he did at a nursing home. Can Trinity find a new for ever home for the trouble twosome, find the missing jewels and catch a killer? She will just have to work out who Bill is. I liked the narrator. She helps the story flow along nicely by putting on a good performance. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review
Another fun cozy mystery. Again at cat and dog are the cause of Trinity finding a dead body. This time two pets that are in separatable and cause nothing but trouble. In so many ways the pets steal the show.
We again see Trinity, Shar, Heather, Brad and the local Police Detective. We also meet some of the other characters from the previous books again. This time Trinity is helping the dead woman's daughter find some missing items and is again in danger. I love Shar as she just has to be involved looking for clues.
See Brad and Trinity's relationship develop is great too. This has been such a fun and easy to read series. With 3 books to go I can't wait to read what happens next. If you are looking for a clean cozy mystery series and you love pets I would recommend this series. I haven't read this quick in a long time.
Another great little book that is an easy read with a twist. How this little town has so much crime is beyond me however it’s marvellous how the characters intertwined throughout. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Now for the next adventure with this lot.
