Julian Easton had no idea a night out would bring him back in contact with his best friend’s little sister, Elina Murphy. She is working at Club Sensual, a strip club, and is one of their top performers. The money she makes here lets her save for the dance studio she wants to own one day. But as she finishes and looks up at the crowd, in the VIP section she spots Julian and he’s glaring at her! He had been everything she wanted but could never have. She raced off stage, changed, and grabbed her keys. But a hard body grabbed her as she walked out the door, and she looks up into the eyes of her long-time crush.

Julian is the governor's son and he is running for mayor. He gives Elina one week to tell her parents about her “job” or he will do so. Before she can work out when to do that, her mom showed up at her apartment to pressure her into coming to family dinner. Her father had a guy lined up for her to date and hopefully marry! And her mom casually said that both her brother EJ and Julian had found someone! Would she try to shut him out of her life now? She didn’t want to think of him with someone else when she still couldn’t get him out of her heart. And he had already demanded that she quit working at the strip club! But that wasn’t going to happen until she got enough money to set up her dance studio, right?

This story was good, with friendships and family intertwined to keep the interactions engaging as secrets are confessed and they all know each other so well. EJ is Julian’s lawyer, and Julian is at the weekend family dinners, so they all remain close. There is so much going on here and it’s difficult to avoid each other. Will Elina and Julian confess how they feel about each other? Is it too late to have a future together? Or will their careers keep them apart?

Elina came from a family of influence and held high expectations for their children. Although her brother's career choice suited his parents, she had taken a much different route. She knew they would be disappointed in her so she kept her job a secret.

One night while working, Julian her brother's best friend who also happens to be her childhood crush found out what she has been hiding. Even though they both were shocked to see one another at the moment, the feelings they had for one another were surprising.

Julian never stepped out of the role of being her protector. He did not let his occupation or goals stand in the way of the woman he wanted.

This was a quick, cute, and easy-to-read story without any major drama.

Sensual was my first story by Keke Renée and Chiquita Dennie and I hope for more from this duo. Elina has one goal in life and that is earning enough money to open her own dance studio and to do that she spends her nights dancing. Her family would disown her if they knew she danced at an adult club. All is well until her brother's best friend sees her on the stage stripping. Julian is running for Mayor and when he sees Elina dancing he wants her to quit. Julian and Elina have loved each other for a long time. What happens when her family finds out about secret life and will Elina and Julian get their HEA?

4.5 stars Julian runs into his childhood crush Elina working at a strip club. Julian is the governor's son and he is running for mayor. He advises Elina to quit working at the strip club. Elina and Julian both confess they had crushes on each other and explore their relationship. The book is fast paced but well written. The romance is sweet, they work well together to make the relationship work and grow.

This was a quick read that was kinda cute. Julian navigated his attraction for Elina almost like her brother did; extremely over protectively. They almost fought like siblings at times.But the reason was clear. Elina's choice of how she made a living was questionable, but a means to an end. Even if it was a bit dangerous. In the end, Julian did what he needed to do to get the girl. There were other family squabbles, but it worked out. Nice ending.

This was a short and very fast paced story about a woman that finally got what she wanted. There isn't much to tell you other then that it was fun and the characters are okey. It did annoy me that everything went too fast and the characters would easily give in to a lot. There wasn't much spice either for a book that is about a stripclub and when a spicy scene started it would end in a couple of sentences. Some people might enjoy that but I expected more for a book called Sensual. The story in general was cute and it has a satisfying happy ending.

From the very beginning of this book, I was drawn inside the lives and world of both Elina and Julian.
It’s a nice way to pass the time with a cup off coffee and some fresh baked cinnamon rolls on a rainy Saturday.

Her job is all about making money in anyway she can, she never tells her parents what she is doing. She meets him as he was an old friend and he is shocked but glad. Will her job come between them? What if her family finds out? What will she do then? See if her secret job comes out

This was a pretty good brother’s best friend romance. The story feels a little rushed but it was still enjoyable. Elina and Julian were good characters and Julian had Elian’s interest in mind at all times even if it could have caused an issue for his career. This story also had a good ending.

Elina and Julian have liked each other since childhood but they did nothing about. There storyline was well developed and flowed easily throughout the pages. The chemistry is undeniable throughout the pages.

I read this because I’ve vowed to read everything already downloaded on my kindle. It was silly, poorly written, and steeped in patriarchal norms but I think someone would find it enjoyable.
