The two widowed elderly AmIsh sisters are at it again. Ettie' s daughter is accused of murder and they set out to clear her name and find the murderer.
Another wonderful Ettie Smith Amish Mysteries, by Samantha Price . Ettie and her older sister, Elsa-May have a wonderful way of getting involved and solving the most unusual mysteries for little old Amish ladies. Ettie's daughter, Myra, Sparkle, or whatever she is calling herself this time, is being framed for murder and the sisters must solve the case. Ian Carter has been a client of Myra's and he has been Murdered. Sparkle was his spiritual healer and that makes her involved. Enter a wife, and ex and two sons, neither of which care one iota for Ian. Everyone is accusing everyone else of the murder. Myra is one of the prime suspects by the police. She comes to her mom and asks her mom to help her prove her innocence. No one can unravel a plot like Ettie. As the story becomes more and more involved, you are drawn deeper into the plot. When the case is finally solved, we are in for another Samantha Price surprise. A new twist; who is this new neighbor who has moved in next to Ettie and Elsa-May, and what does he have against Snowy. Did Crowley recognize the new neighbor's name, Greville? Well, we will just have the wait and see what Samantha has in store for next time.
I love this book and the entire series. I can see these little old ladies running around trying to get clues that will solve the mystery of who is the murder. Samantha Price is one of my favorite authors. All of her stories are great from the beginning to the end. I can't wait for the next book to come out.
Myra (Sparkle) is in trouble again and comes to her mom Ettie for help. The widows have a new neighbor that doesn't like Snowy says he barks all the time but when Detective Kelly is there when he comes one night to complain he backs down. Crowley comes back to help Myra too. Surprises in the end.
Well this book was about a man being poisoned and a very false statement had the wrong person being accused of murder. It took looking at many people and their relationships to sort it out. True of a great mystery there were many twists and turns to get to the truth. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
New Age HooHah I find it interesting that people who embrace new-age theology do so to cast off societal norms but after finding themselves at odds with the world they run back to their roots for help. It first appears to Ettie that her daughter Myra(Crystal) may be good for a murder charge. Digging into it we find out different but it sure looked bad at the start.
Very good murder mystery book with two older Amish widowed sisters Ettie and Else-May who like to solve mysteries. I enjoyed reading this book from the beginning until the end. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love this series, I recommend it to everyone who love mystery novels. Samantha Price is an excellent writer and this series keeps you wanting to solve the mystery but the twists keep you guessing.
I enjoyed the book very much. I like for the books to have more of Detective Kelly. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a light mystery with some humor.
