When Tuukula is called to a meeting with social services in Ilulissat, Petra agrees to look after Luui for a few days, only to discover she might just have underestimated the shaman’s daughter… again!
Looking After Luui is a light, quick read set shortly after the events in the Greenland Missing Persons novella: The Shaman’s Daughter.
I love the way Chris talks about Luui. It seems to be when he is in a very happy mood. He always brings the simple things to the fore like with the puppy or when she farted. Simple things that make it up when she says "magic". I'm always happy when I read her exploits. It always puts Petra in an excellent mood, and I think Chris.
When Petra who is still on sick leave receives a message from Tuukala asking her if she would look after Luui for a little while as he has a meeting to attend in Illuissat , Petra doesn't hesitate and goes off to Qaanaag to watch the little girl who stole her heart. Luui now 5 years old is a whirlwind , wise beyond her years and in the day or so that Petra spends with her the bond between them grows stronger with every moment ....Luui is most definitely The Shamans daughter ..Once again Christoffer Petersen writes a beautifully, magical Icelandic story ...Five stars and a little heart for Luui ..
