VICIOUS HATE: is the second full length book in Thandiwe Mpofu’s ‘Westbrook Blues' series.

After literally getting shoved over that cliffy unapologetically by the author herself, this book became one of my most highly anticipated books of Decemeber!! I couldn't wait to get my hands on this!! This author literally just came at me out of nowhere and since then I have eyes wide open!! If you've not read the first book in this series, you must!! It was amazing!! And one I highly recommend to all bully lover books!!

I’ve just this second closed that last page of 'Vicious Hate', and I’m sitting here, flabbergasted, mouth open wide, catching fucking flies, as I fly over another fucking cliffy!! Raised fist cursing the author! OH MY FUCKING GODDDDDD!! No fucking words!!

My heart took a few beatings with this book!

The bullying
The lies and manipulation

Flatlined!!

As bomb after bomb crashes down on me with new revelations revealed I’m left reeling in its wake, so many twists and turns that came with no warning. Pitting best friends against each other.

If you see this author on social media at all shove her in her writers cave because I need the next book now!!

Wow... so much angst and misery. Everything but the kitchen sink was in this one. That said... I am a big fan of drama and angst and so I enjoyed reading this one a tad bit more than the first book.

I've got to be honest though... I am mostly reading because of Noah. I fell deeply in love with him and so now I have to wait for his book ...

God, that woman (Yes, i mean you, Thandie!!!) wants to destroy me once and for all with all the vicious things that she has on her mind to torture me!!!
You evil woman, please give me my answers... NOW!!!! And please, please... Give me my happy ending!!! These two... Scratch that!!! All of them had too many shitty things to face in their not so long years upon this earth!!!

Honestly, i don't know for whom to hurt more!!! My heart is an open wound and it just bleeding and bleeding... Especially the last ten chapters wrecked my soul and had my stomach on tight knots!!!
Did I mention that this woman is evil, but oh my! the stories that she's writing!!!
You just can't put the book down!!!! You are like an addict who is craving more and more of this drug that Ace and his Blue Star are made off!!!!

Of course, I'm so happy that i got an Arc of this book since it was one of my most anticipated books of this year!!! And of course, i was absolutely sure that she would leave us for once again hanging...
And yes, folks, she did it again!!!! The second book ended with a motherfuckin' cliffy and I'm questioning.... everything!!!!

Well... I can not really say much about the plot... The things are sooo complicated in every aspect!!!!
Love and hate is constantly on war...
Friendships are getting test really badly...
The secrets and lies are pilling up and they are one mile long by now...
Everything that you think you knew is twisting in the end...
And I'm wondering...
Is there someone in Westbrook that isn't having an agenda or that he-she isn't playing a game???
Only Astraea apparently!!!!
Poor girl and my poor boy!!!! My poor boys!!! My poor Blues!!!

In here, we also saw many glimpses of the past and these glimpses brought a little bit light in some things...
At the same time, Ace and Astraea's feelings are getting test for once again...
Is their love real or the hatred between them, a hatred that others are planting, will destroy them for good???
Will the secrets will be revealed after all???
And why all the grown ups in this story are... except Noah's mother, so damn vicious and full of malice??? God!!!! And that bitch, Brittney??? Arrrrrrr...

Okay, I've said enough!!!! Now, Thandie, hurry up and bring me the finale in this twisted, but oh, so beautiful story!!!!

Okay imma bout to rate all the guys in hotness scale.

Ace: 14 out of 10

“She whistles as soon as she sees me. “What?” I question, grabbing her hand so we quickly start crossing the front lawn, walking over to the side of the house where there is a little path that goes straight to my side of the house. No way am I risking seeing anyone in that house by using the front door, especially my fucking whore of a mother. What has this life become? I’m speechless, I have no words for what I just read. Thandiwe Mpofu has left me speechless and angry.

I say this with every single book she writes but it reigns true each time, she gets better, and better with each book she writes. And she has taken her writing to an entire different level with Vicious Hate.

The Blue Boys and Star are back and let me tell you, you haven’t seen anything until you read this book. Westbrook is full of secrets, lies, and horrible people, but man so the demons come out in this book.

I have done absolutely nothing today because I could not put this book down. The only time I stopped was to pour more wine, because this book made me drink.

Westbrook Blues is a town that will eat you alive and you won’t know until it’s too late. Everyone is hiding something. Every page brought another secret and another twist. I was on the edge of my seat.

Everything about this book was absolute perfection! The plot, the characters, the write all amazing. Each character brought their own purpose to the story.

But let’s talk about that ending, what the actual fuck! That cliffhanger has left me feeling all kinds of shouty. I’ll be sitting here waiting for book 3. I NEED it more than I need air.

Dear Thandie -- please, I beg you; if you need an able editor, contact me. Forgive my harsh bluntness here, but the grammar abuse in this book is horrifying. There is, admittedly, a certain je ne sais pas quoi in reading a book without being hindered by the very words on the page.

That said. . .

While I am duly intrigued by the many, many plot twists present in this sequel (though not particularly surprised; I've had my suspicions all along), I am fairly certain that I will get along just fine without ever reading the next installment. After much thought I've been able to deduce that my issues all lie with the characters themselves. . .

-- Alexander is still an insufferable bastard who selfishly acts as though he is the only person in the world to know what pain is. I'd give him my psychologist's card if I ever ran into him.
-- Astraea is precisely the type of girl I would have gone out of my way to avoid in high school, and certainly not just because of the company she keeps. Now, don't get me wrong; I am all too familiar with the feeling of being controlled by your demons and trauma, and how hard it can be to let others in -- but, honestly, has she never heard of communication? So many of the obstacles in this book could have been avoided if she would just open up. After all, she as no qualms about opening up to Ace in other ways. . .
-- I am tempted to let playboy Noah run away with my heart, but at the end of the day I cannot deny or overlook the fact that he is a living, breathing stereotype. He's almost a tad bit . . . unreal.
-- And the Easton boy. . . Emmett is the brooding, silent type who puts an obscene amount of effort into being intimidating, just for the sake of it, it seems -- really not a desirable vibe to give off.

I truly do not know why I forced myself to suffer through this, though I am sure my inner masochist will urge me to power through the next. I can only pray there is hope for the conclusion. . .

All of those secrets and lies and deceit that are rife in Westbrook, as much as I hate what you put the characters through, I have to begrudgingly admit that you wrote another epic book!

✨Two mismatched, vicious and tragic souls flourishing in hate, headed straight for the sweet experience of deep devastation.
I think this phrase sums at best the essence of this book.
The relationship between Star and Ace became more complicated and more powerful as ever, and in some rare moments very sweet.
Their relationship is like a drug you can't avoid became addicted to every dialogue , every stare and every moment they share. The same goes for her relationship with Em and Noah .
And that GINORMOUS PLOT TWIST AT THE END ??? WHAT WAS THAT???
SO NOW I'M HEADING STRAIGHT TO THE NEXT BOOK, I NEED TO KNOW WHAT COULD POSSIBLE HAPPEN AFTER THE BOOMBS THAT EXPLODED IN THIS BOOK.
I GAVE IT OBVIOUSLY 4.95 STARS ✨

Vicious Hate was amazing!!!!!! I felt like I just couldn't put it down once I picked it up! This book was absolute torture. It was happy, sad, devastating, vicious.....

You think the story is going to go one way but then it goes another way and you just go on this ride of craziness that you don't want to get off of.

I honestly have no words to leave an actual review but I will tell you this... You MUST read this series.

What a ride, I devoured it!
Hats off to the author. This story is a like a tangeld web of lies, deception, and secrets. It is a fantastic example of angsty, emotional, enemies to lovers romance. That ending has me dying for more...and this whole book gets two thumbs up! The characters, the manipulation, betrayals, lies, so much drama, jealousy, and hot alpha males! Worth more than five stars.

Well done Thandiwe Mpofu, I bow down to you. Read the book, read the series and fall in love. You won't regret a thing.

OH.MY.F***** GOD.
What the heck T!!!??????
This book, gahhh just BLEW.ME.AWAY. Amazing, heartbreaking, spectacular and dark.
This is the second part of the story of Star and The Blue Boys, and let me tell you it's even better than the first one and while we could see some of the secrets of Reckless Hate being revealed it leaves you with more questions waiting to be answered.
The town of Westbrook High and all of its people hide so many secrets, that there's a moment when you just don't know what's gonna happen next, and this is one of the things I loved the most of this book and the way Thandie delivers this story.
As for the characters, we can see more of Ace, that heartless boy, or at least that's what you think at first, but so much had happened in his life, so much hate and pain during his childhood, all the abuse, and sadness that crept through his life; and Star, this girl, she's so damn strong. Ace's Achilles' heel, his weakness, and at the same time his only savior. This girl holds so much power to all these three boys and she doesn't even know it. But she's a badass, and I couldn't love her more for that.
We also have Emmett, gahh this guy, the quiet one yet the one with most of the secrets, during the first book I always wondered what was the deal with this guy and on this one, Thandie didn't disappoint by giving me all the answers, well most of them about him.
Noah, oh, Noah. If I was swooning over this one before now I've really lost it...ughh I love him so much, the way he treats Baby Blue, and takes care while at the same time protecting everyone around him, and his relationship with Kim, I need to see these two together like yesterday!!!!

You can all see that I REALLY enjoyed this book, the story just hooked me since the first page and I couldn't put it down.

This book has literally swallowed me completely, wracked me entirely and then emotional exhausted and devastated spit me out 😭.
I'm on 3 hours sleep today because of this book, so don't take my rambling serious, but damn...
This was a hell of a wild rollercoaster of nerve-wracking and emotional-exhausting story. Holly sh*t 😱 I'm really impressed and shocked at the same time. Thandie is an unbelievable skilled author and she knows how to keep a reader on the edge of a cliff the whole time 🤨😈
And I love love love it ❤❤❤
This second book in the Westbrook Blues series was even better than the first one and I didn't thought it's even possible to top the first book.
The scheming and devastating preferred way of power play in the world of rich and powerful families, is so damn ridiculous nerve-wracking you just want to scream at them and all the craziness that happens in this book.
This page-turning and
sleep-stealing book is so unbelievable gripping, terrible emotional and creepy trust me you'll not be able to stop reading.
Star and Ace are so wrong and at the some time so good together, I just love them.
Their relationship is like ice and fire mixed together.
The whirlwind of feelings and traumas that they go through together is so beautiful and heartbreaking 😭
Their chemistry is incredible unique and damn hot 🔥🔥🔥
And Emmett 😍🔥 and Noah 😍🔥 I'm in love with all the blue boys ❤
I've millions of things I would love to say about this book, but I can't. I don't want to spoil it. You've to read the first book before you dive in this one.
Do it, this series and this intriguing story is impossible gripping and has a mysterious vibe. It's without a HEA, but I'm sure the 3rd book will have one, right Thandie? 🤨😠

I thought I was ready for Vicious Hate. After Reckless Hate, I was restless for the answers and I expected certain events. But the author proved me wrong. The story took so unexpected turn I am still staring at the wall thinking “What have I just read!”. Thandiwe Mpofu took cliffhanger to the next level!

You thought Reckless Hare was crazy. Vicious Hate is wild! Emotional rollercoaster you will read with pounding heart, tears in eyes, evil thoughts and sometimes smile hoping to see the light.

„Me baby. I promise you me…”

The author completely sucked me into her Westbrook world. Five, now four innocent kids put into the hands of manipulators, liars, and players. Four people whose friendship is being tested now. There is a thin love between love and war and now Ace and Star relationship hit the bumpy road. When life starts throwing the most unexpected curveball at them, will their supposedly unbreakable bond last? Or was it just a game?

Thandiwe Mpofu outdid herself with this story. With every book, I am left speechless and in awe of her captivating writing. I am left with even more questions than answers. This story is intense, gripping and unputdownable, even better than the first book!

Nobody is trustworthy.

Everyone has a hidden agenda.

Everyone craves revenge.

Hands down to one of the best series I have read so far! I can’t wait for the next book!

Thandiwe killed me with this amazing read.
Prepare for an emotional, angsty, twisty, heartbreaking story.

Star and the Blue Boys are back.
Ace, Emmett and Noah are “The Blue Boys don’t bow, The Blue Boys reign down hell.”
They are tough but broken, mean but hurting, hateful but loyal.
All trying to hide their secrets while protecting and caring for Star.
Star has uncovered some answers and trying to repair wounds and finding her strength.
“The entire world if you want it. The moon and the stars are yours, you rule them all.” .

Is this a bully romance?
Yes ~however it is so much more.
It is also a story with many broken souls just wanting someone to see and hear them.

WTF!!! Thandiwe...babe...you absolutely ruined me with this book!!! I really don't want to give anything away, but if you've already read Reckless Hate...you know the rollercoaster ride that is this story. I'm just going to say...be prepared to have your mind blown once again. There are so many twists throughout this story and the myriad of secrets that are revealed make this a page-turner and totally unputdownable book.

This is a downright EPIC read and I'm eagerly anticipating the next book. Vicious Hate is the second instalment in the Westbrook Blues Series by Thandiwe Mpofu and will easily join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!

Wow!! Thandiwe Mpofu left me speechless! She delivered such a angsty, all up in your feels book. Star and Ace will have your head spinning with the push-pull they have going on. All the mystery and secrets that unfold will have your mind reeling. Like wtf did I just read!?! I’m seriously at a loss for words. This series keeps getting better and better. I look forward to the next instalment.

I love a boy that still has so much hate in him, so much so that he won’t love me back.

If you read my review for the first book of this trilogy, then I am pretty sure you understood ,how destroyed I was after that book!! Now multiply that feeling by over 100 times. Yup!!! Keep multiplying and you might be at an emotional state , where I am right now!!!
God ,I don't even have words to express how amazing this series is going. My poor battered heart was not able to handle Ace and Astraea and then the author introduces Noah's girl too!!! I mean it's like she doesn't want to survive until the last book comes out. Those twists and turns in this book were soo worth the pain !!!

“I’m going to break you.” I whisper, for her ears only but to my surprise, all she does is shoot me a look, her eyes twinkling. “I know you will.” She whispers back with a sweet smile that almost looks devilish.

Then there were Noah and Kim , they were those two side-characters , whose scenes I was dying to read. Let it be in Third pov, I just want more Noah and Kim!!!!!!
Ughhh... God , you all are going to think I am absolutely crazy , but I am going to repeat it again,READ THIS SERIES, PLSS!!
I am going to repeat it until everyone gets it through their thick minds😂😂😂😂.
I just can't wait for the third book. I already know I am going to be a blubbering mess by the end of this trilogy, but it will be sooooo worth it!!!!

I really have no idea where to start this review. I finished this book DAYS ago and I can't get it out of my head. I am rethinking and researching clues. I'm trying to find the Easter Eggs Thandie left for us. I am trying to get my heart to stop hurting. I have had a dream every night since I completed it about some aspect of this book. Basically I am a mess.

What I am trying to say is, get ready for an emotional, mindblowing book. Pay CLOSE attention you will miss so much if you don't.

We get to see more of our Lovely.... ok not lovely... Alphaholes in this book. We get to see more back story- oh the angst. We get to see more emotions- angst again. We get to see betrayal- more angst. We experience the plot twists we didn't see coming- can my heart handle any more angst?!!!

Honesty here folks. I got annoyed with our characters. There was SO MUCH back and forth. Flipping and Flopping their feelings. Twisting their interactions. I was like COME ON PEOPLE! Say what you do, and do what you say. Stop this! The immaturity/mind games were killing me. But then I took a step back. Phsycho-analyzed. I came to this heartbreaking conclusion. For me, a 30-year-old who is in an amazing, healthy, loving, committed relationship, a child of a loving home with stable married parents, have something NONE of these characters have. With this amazing environment, I was raised in, I learned how to treat people, how to make decisions on my emotions. These TEENAGERS haven't. They are still growing up. Their families are a wreck. None of them have a stable home, with the closest being Noah with his loving Mother, but a father who left, and a brother who committed suicide. Heck, even Spider and Ivy have their Grandma stepping in to help care for them. How are they supposed to make rational decisions about relationships? They can't. They don't know how. Add in all the mind games, they will always be questioning, pushing, pulling, and breaking.
My heart hurts for every single one of these characters. Some of their pain comes from each other, true, but they are brought up in an environment of pain. They don't know love. My Momma side is wrecked over this. My babies are my greatest joy. They complete me. These kids don't have that, but they have each other. But do they? SEE MIND GAMES!!!!!!

I will say, I Lovated Ace more in this book. I loved that we got to see a deeper side of him. But hated the back and forth. AND most importantly we didn't get to see some of what he was thinking on the crucial parts. Thandie is tricksy. But as a character, he grew for me. He also answered a lot of my whys with Reckless Hate. You just get to know him much better.

The edition I had, did have errors. This impacted my enjoyment of the book.

ARC Provided in exchange for honest review. Firstly i would love to thank Thandiwe for giving me the honour of reading and reviewing this amazing book.
Thandiwe has left me speechless and in aww of her writing with this one. Reckless Hate ended with a big Bang so we knew coming into this book that it would be good but damm she outdid herself. If i could rate this book more than 5 stars i would. Right from the first page it starts with the Alex's past and you get to see why the hate towards his dad, and damm do you understand it, i loved it that we got too see how they all met each other as well. The Blue Boys and Star really go through hell in this book so so much happens.

By 11% in of this book i was sitting at the edge of my seat with a lump in my throat because it was so intense and ive read my share of intense but with this one it was literally bomb shell after bomb shell and just when you think you can't take all the secrets and betrayal wait there's more oh wait and a little bit more. It really does keep you at the edge of your seat the whole book. It takes you on one hell of an amazing emotional heartbreaking hot ride.

Thandiwe really makes you feel like its you hearing all these secrets, that its you being hurt and betrayed by the end of it you seriously want to hurt so characters in the this book lol This book was perfect i loved it even more than the first one. Also let me tell you that someone needs to open up a mental asylum in this town and put their parents in it cus damm they pure evil, these people care nothing about their kids at all the things they do left me like wtfffffffffff.

Lets talk about Star and Ace if ever there was two meant to be its these two but damm do they go through hell, but together they are unstoppable their chemistry is off the chain hot, these two are connected like no other but also can fight like cats and dogs lol

Do you know what its like to go back to work after finishing this book i really wanted to throw the phone at someone lol If you haven't read Reckless Hate i really don't understand what you are waiting for go go an get it now. Vicious hate comes out December 4. So if you've read the first one make sure you get the second one trust me you wont be dissapointed also make sure you dont have work or dont have a busy day as its very hard to function while reading this book.. OH and BTW it ends in a huge cliffy again but ohhhhh so good. BRING ON THE NEXT ONE PLEASE...
