She lives in Texas—her true north—with her adventurous family, and a spunky rescue who is often referred to as a hot mess. She is the proud owner of too many books (if there is such a thing). When not writing, she can be found exploring Manhattan, on a mountain either hiking or skiing depending on the season, or swimming in her own backyard.

The plot was good and original. Going over the same poor me just convolutes the writing and makes the story dreary. I want less repeated past lives and more action. Who killed Libby, are the cousins working on repairing family, where is Prudence’s purse and car, did Libby tell Prudence who the father is? Not a cliffhanger but can’t say I will read anymore of this series. Thanks for the story, good luck on next book.
It wasn't too bad. The ending was rushed. We never really found out the complete story of how Prudence meet Libby. It was a memory coming back that told some of the story. This book could have been better.
Adam is the first Firebrand to fall in this family saga of love, tragedy, feuds, death and deception. After the woman he loved turned down his proposal Adam has sworn off love. The Ranch, his family are all he needs until he finds a young woman clutching a baby on his ranch.
Pet sitter Prudence Owens has no idea how she came to be on the Firebrand Ranch, let alone clutching a baby that isn't hers. The only thing she knows for certain is that there was a note in the babies blanket with Adam's name. She soon discovers that somehow she has lost three days of her life. As she struggles with that knowledge and her overwhelming attraction to Adam two things become apparent. 1. That someone will do anything to stop her remembering. 2. That baby 'Angel' is at the heart of everything.
Still grieving the death of his grandfather 'The Marshall' Adam never expected a slip of a girl and a tiny infant to give him a reason to hope for a future he had turned his back on. He just needs answers to some crucial life changing questions.
Who is the mother? Where is she? Is he the father? What happened to Prudence? Who wants them both dead? If he can't discover the truth then he could lose everything.
Barb Han has written an engaging romantic suspense with an utterly gorgeous hero to die for and a 'real' heroine with real problems. Add in the sweetest baby and the cutest dogs and you have a winning formula. I look forward to getting to know the rest of the Firebrand family and seeing what Barb throws at them in the future.
Really hoid! A little mysterious, & a wonderful clean romance!
First I'm so excited to have another clean romance author to enjoy. Prudence losing 3 days of memory had me trying so hard to figure out what happened. The reason for her memory loss was a little bit of a letdown, but the story was still really good. The chemistry between her & Adam was just right..not boring but not "over the top". As a woman who dated my husband for only 6 weeks before we married, (& only for 2 before I asked him to marry me 😆), I love instant connection romances. Not from lust, but a by a spiritual connection. My husband was my soulmate, no doubt ever that God chose him for me. I felt that about Adam & Prudence, & loved how attached they were to Angel. And I'm a truly "head over heels"dog lover, so I liked Pru's job, which is a rare one in romance novels, (at least I think it is)& the overzealous Hutch & his cute Bijon sidekick. My only dislikes were Pru's return of memory never being mentioned to Adam afterward, which was weird, because it was very important to the story. The bad guy & his boss or bosses (I don't want to spoil it) were kind of an anticlimax, when they should have bedn THE climax..my opinion though. Then there's just a bit of a cliffhanger over Adam's mom certain knowledge of a certain someone & the Marshall's family feud. But neither dislike was enough to change my opinion that this was a great book.
Rancher to the Rescue by Barb Han Texas Firebrand Series Book One Adam Firebrand is from a Texas ranching family. He’s the oldest of nine boys and the second oldest of his nine cousins. His grandfather, the Marshall, has just passed away, so all heck is about to break out. His father and uncle were constantly at odds…and now they had the will to add to that. But, a distraction he didn’t expect sort of fell into his life to take away from all the family drama. Prudence Owens had no clue how she ended up with a baby. And then she finds out that she’s lost three days! The only good part of her life right now is being around Adam Firebrand. And the baby. Not so fun is the fact that someone seems to be after her, and she doesn’t know why. Especially with no memories! This is the first book in the new series. It introduces the reader to Adam and his closest brother in age…and friendship…Brax. Looking forward to more. https://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com...
Sweet story with an unusual storyline and several twists to keep it interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know two relative strangers, Prudence and Adam, as they navigate their way through Pru’s amnesia, a possible kidnapping, a one month old infant and possible paternity rights. Whew! And that’s before you add in hostile grandparents and a murder! Watching both characters grow and evolve as they recognize personal strengths and unexpected feelings was a powerful tool that helped the story make connections to the reader and move it forward with clearer understanding and appreciation for what they were going through. I look forward to reading more books by Ms Han.
Prudence couldn't remember the past three days or how she came into possession of a baby with only "Adam" written on a note in the blanket. Adam couldn't figure out where Prudence and the little baby came from. They worked together to discover the unknowns while dealing with mystery after mystery. An exciting read with many questions and frightening events. I gave this 5 stars even though the ending left a lot of questions unanswered which was a disappointment.
This is a well written story with wonderful characters. If you like your books spicy then you don't want this one. This was a quick easy read for me. There is some suspense but that is all I will say because I don't do spoilers. so get the book and see what I am talking about. I really think you will like this one especially if you like a sweeter story!!!!
This was a great book to lose a few hours in. Adam and Prudence find the meaning of true love while danger lerks in the background. The ending was very rushed, after all the dragged out suspense, I'd have liked a bit more to the reveal and ending but I loved it all the same.
This story was very entertaining and well written by Barb Han. It is a clean heart felt romance with some mystery mixed in, and very satisfying. I highly recommend it. This is my first book by Barb Han but it will not be my last.
Adam and Prudence meet under suspicious circumstances and fall in love. There's a baby and a lost memory, murder and mayhem. Then it all gets tired up in a neat little bow so quickly you wonder if you missed something. It's a quick read and good.
Adam and Prudence met when he was out surging the land and heard a baby crying. Somehow Prudence had lost three days and couldn't remember what had happened. She held a baby girl in her arms and had very little knowledge of how to care for her.
A very strange but interesting beginning of a story about a rancher who finds a woman and baby in the middle of his ranch with no recollection of how she got there. I loved this story and it held my attention the whole time.
This book grab me right from the start and keep you interesting till the very last page. Good characters and story line that flow nicely. Looking forward to more from this author.
There is mystery, danger, unanswered questions but love sneaks in. (You do get all the answers by the end). Lots of interesting information about the family. And it sets up for many more good stories.
As a first time reader of a Barb Han writing, I found myself having a hard time putting it down. Good easy reading with a nice combination of romance and mystery. Can't wait to start another.
This book was about a woman who had lost three days of her memory a waking up with a new born baby girl in her arms and had no clue as to how she got her . A must read.
Oh this book had me hooked! I'm ready for the next one! Suspense, drama, love, hot Cowboys and sweet tender moments! Fall in love with the men from Firebrand Ranch!
Where did that baby come from!? She is a beautiful baby girl !
Hearing a baby crying in the middle of nowhere is jyst the stare of this story! The woman with the baby has a memory problem! What is to be done? Well! I suppose you must read to find out Enjoy!
This was a great romance story between two people that never thought they could have happiness or a family. Looking forward to reading more from this series.
