But I am fae. A little fact my parents failed to mention the entire time I was growing up. Then when it was time to apply to college, when all my friends were taking the SAT, I was informed that would not be necessary. I was a legacy to the Sciathian Academy, a private college so exclusive, I would find it in none of the brochures in my high school counselor’s office. No need to fill out an application or take the SAT. They apparently had their own tests… No financial aid forms because the families who sent their children there had funded the school with a legacy a long time ago. No need to do anything but show up and settle into my dorm.
Pretty sweet. Also a little concerning
Especially when the private jet lands at an isolated airfield and I am ushered into a long, black car along with three other girls who all seem to have known one another since kindergarten and who are chattering away in another language. Gaelic, I think. And since I’d just left behind everyone and everything I knew, this did not bode well for the future. If everyone spoke this language, how would I even attend classes? Or pass a test?
As if Fae Academy wasn’t hard enough, there are three guys that all want to date me.
Wait, do fairies date? I think they have soul mates or something. Heck, I don’t even know what my powers are yet. I was never in the spotlight in high school, so why in the world am I the shining light here?
Just when I decided to buckle down and study to be the best fairy I can, the whole world breaks open. For some reason the headmaster thinks I am the one who can intervene. I can’t even move a pebble or conjure up a rain cloud and they want me to save us?
Mazzy J. March is a fan of all things paranormal--shifters, vampires, witches...dragons and all the many creatures that inhabit the world beyond the ordinary. She has been plotting her Academy stories for a long time and is thrilled to finally have them releasing and ever grateful to the readers who are offering such support and helping her dreams come true.
This book was disappointing. Nothing happened, not really anyway. The MC brought college brochures home. Parents tell her she does not need them because she is going to the school her parents went to. Skip 9 months. MC graduates HS leaves the next day for the academy. Meets snobby girls on the way. Meets other kids, makes a friend. Learns a little about Fairies and for some reason most people know who she is. MC is attracted to a few guys. Interacts with them.. sort of. Goes to town ONE time, even though the first day off it was a huge deal to go... Something black tried to pull her in and felt like it was tugging at her chest. Bain saves her. A few weeks go by. MC kisses one guy. MC is kissed by another guy on the way to tutoring. MC finds a secret garden. First guy explains that she shouldn't be there. He kisses her. He tells her he is protecting her. Weeks go by. MC finally sees people flying and her wings almost come out, but her friend called name. Her friend told her she saw a shadow of wings and looked worried. We are at the end of summer and everyone is packing up to go home. MC is not sure if she should stay with her parents or go back to the academy in the Fall...
And there you have it. You may think I left vital information out, but I assure you I did not. This is the whole story without the fillers. I love the idea, or at least where I think the idea is possible headed, but man was this disappointing. I feel like I wasted my time, and yet I want to know if the story improves in book 2. The fact that I might still read book two is the only reason I gave this book 2 stars and not 1...
I mean Why? Why do her parents live in the human world? Are the snobby girls somehow important? What is the importance of the guys? Why doesn't the platinum blond guy try and talk to her again? Who was the first guy she saw during her first meeting? Why does the veil call so strongly to her? I feel like at least some of these things should have been answered, or a minimum we should have gotten to know more about the characters.
Also in the first chapter we are told the MC goes to a all girl catholic school, Yet the valedictorian is a guy... And that scene with the rich girl who was going to flash him, but then kinda froze when he stared at her... what was the point of that? Because absolutely nothing happened...

The story line rocked, but I found a few story line errors and characters could have been more developed. We have Endy that is graduating and thinking of just going to the junior college. When her parents tell her she is off to another college with no say. What will she do when she gets there? Can she handle all of what she is learning? Who are the two guys that have her mind? Why does she not know of her parents past? Why are they hiding everything from her? Will we learn why in the next book? Can this be real?

Mazzy J. March has been on my radar for the past year and a half, I'm already reverse harem obsessed and her book covers are eye-catching, so of course, I was curious. Well now I can say I've finally read one of her books, Veiled Wings is the first book in the Sciathain Academy series. The best part, this is a fae reverse harem, the fae are my favorite supernatural subject and March has done a good job, I enjoyed the story.
The main character, Endymion (I don't even know how to pronounce that name), goes by Endy and is a little bit weird but nothing too bad, she seems quiet and mostly keeps to herself, a good girl type character. However, she claims to be a rule-breaker and I think she is gonna have some reason for that to be true. She also has a thirst for knowledge and since she grew up in the human realm (thinking she's human) and knows nothing of fairy, she is more than willing to learn all things fairy. She makes friends with her roommate and there are a couple of guys who seem to capture her interest as she has theirs but she has had any real-time for any more connections or to make the ones she did form deeper.
The plot of this book was basically establishing a base from where the story can go, learning some of fairy history, getting to know some of the key players, and coming to understand that something is lurking about that means all kinds of harm. The story was interesting and I love a good academy story. I have a few questions like why could she see him and no one else could? What's really on the other side of the veil? What kind of powers do they have? Also what is up with Endy's parents? Those two just threw her into the situation without preparing her at all. It's like tossing a kid in the deep-end a just hope they can swim. I don't understand how Endy could be a claim as she was and not freaking out at her parents. Endy also needs to learn to ask questions out loud because she needs all the help she can get with her new reality.
Veiled Wings was a quick read, that was fun and had the hints of a big story at play. I wonder how many guys will end-up in Endy's harem and who they will be. I would also love for more fairy lore and magic in the next book. I'm curious to see where the story will go and I look forward to reading more about Endy's journey in the next book.
Hmm. This was a very interesting story with lots of questions hanging. Who exactly is Endy? At the beginning of the story, Endy's roommate tells her that everyone knows who she is, but is interrupted before Endy can find out why. She is sent off in luxury to a school for fairies and magic with no notice at all and she struggles to learn what is going on and who she really is. No one volunteers information to her during the few weeks of summer orientation for starting full time in her first regular college fall schedule. She wants to come back for fall, but really misses the human world and her parents. I look forward to the next story to find out how college starts out. Although this is a story about college age kids, it did not come across as immature or just for teens type story. Endy's character is engaging, curious, and quite mature. Very nice.

Veiled Wings is the first book in this series. It is an interesting tale of a young woman who finds out she is a fairy. This is a shock as she has lived a normal life up until this point. When she is whisked off to Sciathain Academy, she has much catching up to do as the other students grew up knowing they were fairies.
There are quite a few mysteries that have to be solved in the next books in the series. One huge mystery is her parents' seeming expulsion from the land of the Seelie. There is also a bit of intrigue with the veil and how it beckons Endy. At the romance end, we meet Endy's first two love interests, Zephyr and Bain. A little drama and some paranormal action keep the storyline interesting. However, the story seems a little unfinished in the first few chapters as no one is explaining anything at all. That seems a little strange and makes the story feel a bit incomplete. Perhaps that was intended to add mystery.
This book takes place during the summer semester. The next book, Sullied Wings, will occur during the fall semester and is already set up for a bit of intrigue. Despite not being as compelling as other Mazzy J. March books, I do want to read the next book in the series.

Our heroine is fae, raised as a human, so she has no clue what that means. Now she is attending a fae academy where she is expected to do great things. No pressure...
The story is well written and easy to read, yet with a rather complex and twisted plot involving both a paranormal academy and a reverse harem. The characters are well developed and interesting, with distinct personalities that set each apart and bring the story to life. The setting is also interesting, not just an academy, but more of the world as well. I did like our heroine as she is pretty smart and adaptable, even when she is in way over her head. Overall, a good start to a series and I am intrigued to see what comes next.
Highly recommended.

Veiled Wings kicks off a new series that promises to be an adventure. I was immediately immersed in the world that was captivating and well written. The descriptive writing had me easily picturing everything. I loved Endy. She had quite a challenge trying to assimilate in a world that was different from anything she'd ever known. Her roommate and only female friend, Alara, was endearing. From the first moment she appeared on the page, her personality had you liking her. Bain and Zephyr were interesting - each in his own way. They will definitely be a pivotal part of the ongoing plot. Unfortunately once you are on the edge of your seat wanting to know more, the book ends with the promise of more to come. I can't wait.
Endymion (“Endy”) is actually a Fae who has been raised by her parents as a human and told nothing of her background. So it comes as a complete surprise when she is informed that plans have already been made and she will be attending a private academy she never heard of.
Starting at Scaithain Academy, Endy feels unprepared. Many students seemed to know each other from all their school years, while Endy didn’t even know she was a Fae. She has a lot of catching up to do! Where will she begin?
Endy is just graduating high school and before she is able to pick her college, she is informed that she will actually be attending her parents and grandparents school. This book is full of surprises as they are revealed to Endy and a slow burn and growth for the relationships and potential relationships. I am very curious as to why her parents left it all behind and made the deal that they did. I am also looking forward to more Zephyr, Bain and Alara.

Endy was brought up by her parents as a human it’s not until she’s told that she’s going to another school that Endy finds out that she is a Fae and it’s not until she attends Sciathain Academy that Endy realises that her whole world is going to change. There is so much more going on in this story it’s a fantastic start to this new series and I can’t wait to read book 2 and I highly recommend this book.

OMG 😲😲😲 I feel really bad for Endy, her parents neglected to tell her about her history. I understand they couldn't, but how could she go to the University and not know anything about who she truly was... I cannot wait to see what happens in book 2 when she goes back to school. I definitely enjoyed this book and would recommend it!!!
This book could have been the prequel because the only thing it does is create a little background of the upcoming series. We meet all the characters, find out a little about them and that's about it.
As a prequel good as a book 1 could have been expanded and have a little more content.

Well that was a fun read, a coming if age of sorts. I always feel for the MC's that go into situations fully unprepared, no idea the world even exists, let alone that they belong in that world.
I have my suspicions about Endy's parents and why the kept it all from her ... why she was raised human but us very much Fae.
I absolutely love this hot, steamy, captivating book with exceptional characters in an erotic world that is so realistic it felt like I was on the journey with them. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author that knows how to captivate the attention of their readers.
I won’t lie and say I wasn’t confused with Endy because I was most certainly confused. I was happy to see her character grow and can’t wait to see what happens next.

Thought this would be better. Felt childish and the FMC was dumb. She should of questioned everything. Just felt weird. Hoping the next book is better but not going to hold my breath
Seriously, where’s the rest of the book? Months just flew by and then the book ended? And that ending. “Mom can you tell me….” And when mom says no, nothing. Nothing but “I’m going back.” Ridiculous.
To be honest I felt this whole series was rushed. I had high hopes that this would be an amazing book/series, but unfortunately it wasn't that great. The endings to all of the books, wasn't what I had expected, it was all cliff hangers and once again too rushed.
Endy was really blindsided when she got to school. Her parents never told her what she is.She already has two hot guys trailing after her. Can't wait to see what happens when she goes back to school.
Short and sweet and now I need more lol, thoroughly enjoyed this taster of fae, I wonder whats going to happen to endy next and what's her parents hiding
3.5. Endy is a normal high school graduate getting ready for college. At least until her parents said she has to attend their alma matter. But it’s strange there. The thing I find hard to grasp is why her parents didn’t tell her that she was fae. Or that she didn’t clue in sooner to the school being magical. That dropped it in the rating for me. But there’s a couple yummy romance options in Bain and Zephyr.
