"Is it really a good idea to run away from war with the person you despise the most?"
A hotel, A boathouse, Narcissa Malfoy's safe-house, and the world's most powerful wand left behind by Regulus Black. What else could Hermione add to the list to make her absolutely insane?
Dramione. Unredeemed Draco. Canon Divergent. Hermione and Draco on the run together. Degradation kink.
it feels as though my hatred is only hatred because I don't hate you and my hatred is so surely anchored on the steadfast rock of Immortality."
Hermione nodded, completely understanding him. Draco seemed obsessed with death—her death. The sketches and rude comments and sneers. Maybe that's why, because he was afraid that not hating her would get her killed.
********
Draco smirked, "Who said I don't still hate you?" "You hate me?" Hermione quirked back, her smile reaching that same level his was on. She knew that hate didn't mean hate, not anymore. "Always." *********
I've read a lot of Dramione fanfics, and while I've dropped a lot because the writing wasn't good, this is the first time I've dropped it because the content made me want to throw up. The characters are nothing like the originals; they seem extremely sick. I couldn't see a shred of love/affection between anyone. It's all degradation and insults, and it gets repetitive. It never evolves, and it's frustrating because you can't understand where they're going. The scene with Pansy was horrible, not because of the experimentation, but because it's set in a strange context and seems like it was done on a whim. Nothing, nothing, nothing is right here... If what you like about Draco's development is what you like about Dramione, don't read it. There's nothing redeeming here, and Hermione is like a 2.0 version of Bellatrix.

A pile of romanticized abuse. Hermione is uncharacteristically sniveling and Draco is supposed to be the wounded animal type that's actually soft on the inside I guess, but its not quirky or proper enemies to lovers or whatever. its just abuse
Not a bad read, but I think this book is longer than it needs to be. The overall story line was good, but there's way too much back and forth with the characters. Things were a little too drug out and some things were a bit random.
Wasn’t a fan of this one. There were part of it I liked but the plot was overly long considering it was quite simple and I disliked this depiction of Draco. I lost respect for Hermione for sticking with him so not my favourite.
The “wand” was such a unique element that was my favorite part of the plot. I have to admit, my absolute favorite yet unexpected scene was *that* one between Pansy & Hermione.
